The first part describes what a family is and various definitions of the family, its functions and parenting disorders. The second part deals with the assessment of family functionality. Personality of female offender Abstract The aim of this thesis is to provide a certain picture of the female offenders. A significant part of the thesis deals with criminological theories that have tried to find the cause of female criminality. These are primarily biological, psychological and sociological criminological theories, but multidisciplinary and feminist approaches are also considered. Although a number of experts have attempted to explain the origins of female delinquency, none has yet succeeded in answering the question of where female criminality originates. On the contrary, they agree that there is no single universal cause of female criminality. This thesis provides an overview of some of the typologies of female offenders, including female sex offenders, serial killers, and child murderers. By examining the typologies of female offenders that have been developed, we are able to obtain a fairly detailed picture of the characteristics of female offenders, including personality traits and criminal motivations. Criminal recidivism prevention and Three-strikes principle Abstract Significant number of crimes and prisoners are repeat offenders in Czech Republic. Therefore, prevention of recidivism is an important element of penal policy. Although the trend is to focus on more restorative justice and rehabilitation of the offender, there are still calls for more repressive sanctions for repeat offenders which embodies the catchy Three-strikes you're out laws. Three-strikes laws come from Anglo-Saxon criminal justice system and essentially on their basis the justice system can impose more repressive sanctions, usually life imprisonment. These laws are part of penal populism. The goal of this thesis is an analysis of recidivism prevention measures in Czech Republic, the effect of imprisonment on repeat offenders and the state of Czech prison system. The issue is very complex as it draws from theoretical and practical knowledge of many fields of science. Offender's personality arises from interaction of a vast amount of factors. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the offender's personality as the so-called biopsychosocial phenomenon. The variables that are involved in its formation can be sorted systematically according to their origin into a biological sphere, psychological sphere and social sphere, which corresponds to the division of the chapters in the text of the master's thesis. The aim of the thesis is to provide the reader with a true picture of the development and structure of youth crime in the territory of the Czech Republic over a relatively extensive period - from 1993 to 2020. The first two chapters offer the reader theoretical insight into the issue of youth crime that is necessary for understanding the subsequent parts of the thesis, making use of the available professional literature. It consists a complex issue that criminologists have been studying intensely for several centuries. In the introduction to this thesis I am explaining the concept of criminology, criminality and offender from a criminological and criminal law perspective. The historical development of the view of the offender is introduced in this thesis. The ideas of free will were replaced by theories of born criminal, only for the science to partially return to the original ideas in the 20th century. Development and structure of crime in the Czech Republic The aim of this thesis is a comparison and presenting the development of crime in the Czech Republic in three different ways. From a short-term point of view, I was comparing the development of crime in the last three years, which was in 2020 affected by pandemic COVID- 19. From a long-term perspective, I monitored the development of crime over four equally distant years, focusing on the importance of dividing crime into separate categories. I focused the last comparison on the description of the problems of international comparison and the presentation of three levels of possible international cooperation. The primary source of information was publicly available statistics of the Police of the Czech Republic. Structure and development of criminality in the Czech Republic - abstract (Key words: criminality, structure, development) This master's thesis deals with the structure and development of crime in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on the description of the current state of criminality and its distribution around the country. The main goal of this thesis is to map and describe the structure of criminality in the Czech Republic and its development in the last 20 years with the use of statistical data from the Czech Police and yearbooks of The Institute of Criminology and Social Prevention, a Czech research organization. Development and structure of crime in the Czech Republic Abstract The intended goal of the presented work is to present an overview of fundamental theoretical one sand practical knowledge of crime in the Czech Republic with the help of available sources (literature, professional articles, legislation and case law). In six parts, the work focuses mainly on the criminological and criminal interpretation of crime and its development in terms of publicly available data of statistical systems in the Czech Republic for the years 2016-2019. The main content of the thesis is development and structure of juvenile delinquency in the Czech Republic between years 2007 and 2017, focusing on current trends and problematic aspects in this area, on prevention, alternative measures and approaches in criminal proceedings and on recidivism of youth offenders. The premise of the paper is that educational and therapeutic measures should be more used in criminal procedure in juvenile court. Property criminality and its prevention Bicycle theft in the context of general property criminality Abstract Property criminality is a very serious social pathological phenomenon. In the long run, it accounts for the largest share of total crime by far. Property offenses are the most numerous and also represent the largest amount of police work. Bicycle theft is a common property offense. This diploma thesis deals with both of these phenomena, considering the thefts of bicycles in the context of general property crime. Both phenomena are defined and evaluated in terms of statistical indicators. Here it mainly examines the state and dynamics of both phenomena. In the area of bicycle theft, there are additionally evaluated other statistical data such as theft detection, data on prosecuted persons and the proportion of repeat offenders in committing this type of offense. Structure and development of criminality in the Czech Republic In my thesis I dealt with the analysis of the development and structure of crime in the Czech Republic in the years 2007 - 2017. Most of the data I used comes from static surveys of a crime of the Police of the Czech Republic. In the period under review, information about the decline in registered crimes occurred every year. Verifying these claims was one of the main goals of my work. The thesis is divided into five chapters, the first one explains the basic terms that the reader will encounter in the text. The following is a brief historical excursion to post- revolutionary years, which briefly describes the development and structure of registered crime after 1989. The third chapter analyzes the data for 2017 concerning both the structure and intensity of selected types of crime according to the tactical- statistical classification of the Police of the Czech Republic. The main purpose of this thesis is to define the term "economic criminality" and the terms related; the role of economic crime within the legal doctrine itself as well as in the Czech legal system over the course of time; determining the specifics of economic crime while stressing the role of the offender, efficiency of punishment, control and prevention of this type of crime. This thesis consists of four chapters. The first part is dedicated to the definition of crucial terms on the national and international level. I also described the legislative evolution of economic crime and the protection of possession in the Czech legal system. I listed economic crimes de lege lata, while at the same time remembering the crimes that do not fall under the economic crimes section per se. Later on, I comment on some particular attributes of economic criminality with special focus on the profile of the perpetrator which is rather atypical. The theme of this thesis is Cultural criminology and narrative analysis. The work is divided into four chapters that focus on the subject of cultural criminology, its methods and benefits. The first chapter introduces cultural criminology, its main concepts, influences and development. The second chapter presents selected methods of cultural criminology in detail, namely ethnography and media analysis. The third section describes in detail the narrative analysis and its benefits. This work is about the problem of high recidivism rate in the Czech Republic, which highlights the inefficiency Czech prisons in their resocialization function, ie. the effort to reintegrate people into society after imprisonment, who are at risk of social exclusion and criminal recidivism,which is called tertiary crime prevention as a process. The phenomenon of recidivism is very complex - includes the issue of social exclusion, racial discrimination, addictology and the crisis of social mobility in society. It must be patiently addressed on many levels, using long-term strategies. The effective functioning of the penitentiary care focused on prevention in the objective of any society. Reducing recidivism means reduced costs from the state budget, ensuring the safety and protection of the entire society from criminal acts provides a suitable environment for the development of the whole society, and providing care for those who clashed with the law, it is important in terms of social justice. This paper focuses mainly on criminological and psychological aspects of people who commit violent crimes. It summarizes different typologies of offenders, schools of criminal causes, various aspects of personalities, and discusses prevention of criminality in the Czech Republic. In addition, it focuses greatly on stalking from theoretical as well as practical point of view through an extensive case study. The main foundation for this case study is a court case from early 2008, further anonymous due to request of the Municipal Court in Prague. This thesis is concerned with question of offender's personality from the criminological point of view. In first few chapters I introduce some basic criminological theories and typologies and I tried to put together a general psychological profile of the offender. In the following part of thesis I deal with recidivist offenders, women delinquency and juvenile delinquency. In the last chapter I tried to analyze offenders in the Czech Republic, according to factors of age, gender and nationality, based on data from crime statistics.
