This paper presents the theoretical-methodological proposal used in the construction of the second module of the course "Improvement Escola da Terra", linked to the program Escola da Terra in Espírito Santo. Entitled "Inclusion, interculturality and interdisciplinarity in Rural Education", this educative process promoted reflections on the processes of inclusion and exclusion in its multiple perspectives (Plaisance, 2015; Skliar, 2003); on Rural Education from the perspective of bilingual critical interculturality (Maher, 2005, 2007; Walsh, 2009, 2010) and on interdisciplinary conceptions (Fazenda, 2008; Frigotto, 2008). The continuing education had as educational principles the research (Freire, 1983, 1996) and the alternation, with use of the following didactic-pedagogical mediations of the pedagogy of the alternation: Plan of Studies, Placement in Common, Notebook of Reality and Return Activities, which were organized in University-Time and Community-Time. Participation in the program was a challenge, given the multiple issues involved in the partnership between state and municipal public schools and the university, the educational institution responsible for offering the course. However, it allowed the reflection and discussion on the reality of the individuals of the different peasant territories of Espírito Santo, constituting na educative process of rural teachers that aimed to reinvent inclusive, intercultural, bilingual and interdisciplinar practices.

Este artículo presenta la propuesta teórica y metodológica utilizada para construir el segundo módulo del curso "Perfeccionamiento de la Escola da Terra", vinculado al programa Escola da Terra en Espírito Santo. Titulado "Inclusión, interculturalidad e interdisciplinariedad en la Educación Rural", este proceso formativo promovió reflexiones sobre los procesos de inclusión y exclusión en sus múltiples perspectivas (Plaisance, 2015; Skliar, 2003); sobre la Educación rural desde la perspectiva de la interculturalidad crítica bilingüe (Maher, 2005, 2007; Walsh, 2009, 2010) y sobre las concepciones de interdisciplinariedad (Fazenda, 2008; Frigotto, 2008). La formación tuvo como principios educativos la investigación (Freire, 1983, 1996) y la alternancia, utilizando las siguientes mediaciones didácticas-pedagógicas de la pedagogía de la alternancia: Plan de Estudio, Colocación en Común, Cuaderno de Realidad y Actividades de Retorno, que se organizaron en Tiempo Universitario y Tiempo Comunitario. La participación en el programa fue un reto, dadas las múltiples cuestiones envolvidas en la asociación entre las escuelas públicas y municipales y la universidad, la institución de formación responsable de ofrecer el curso. Sin embargo, permitió la reflexión y discusión sobre la realidad de los sujetos de los diferentes territorios rurales de Espírito Santo, constituyendo un proceso formativo de maestros rurales que tensionó la reinvención de prácticas inclusivas, interculturales, bilingües e interdisciplinarias., Este artigo apresenta a proposta teórico-metodológica utilizada na construção do segundo módulo do curso “Aperfeiçoamento Escola da Terra”, vinculado ao Programa Escola da Terra no Espírito Santo. Intitulado “Inclusão, interculturalidade e interdisciplinaridade na Educação do Campo”, esse processo formativo promoveu reflexões sobre os processos de inclusão e exclusão em suas múltiplas perspectivas (Plaisance, 2015; Skliar, 2003); sobre a Educação do Campo na perspectiva da interculturalidade crítica bilíngue (Maher, 2005, 2007; Walsh, 2009, 2010) e sobre concepções de interdisciplinaridade (Fazenda, 2008; Frigotto, 2008). A formação teve como princípios educativos a pesquisa (Freire, 1983, 1996) e a alternância, com utilização das seguintes mediações didático-pedagógicas da pedagogia da alternância: Plano de Estudos, Colocação em Comum, Caderno da Realidade e Atividades de Retorno, as quais estavam organizadas no Tempo-Universidade e no Tempo-Comunidade. A participação no programa constituiu-se em um desafio, dadas as múltiplas questões envolvidas na parceria entre as escolas das redes públicas estaduais e municipais e a universidade, instituição formadora responsável pela oferta do curso. Contudo, possibilitou a reflexão e discussão sobre a realidade dos sujeitos dos diferentes territórios campesinos do Espírito Santo, constituindo-se em um processo formativo de professora(e)s do campo que tensionou reinventar práticas inclusivas, interculturais, bilíngues e interdisciplinares. 7. Localização, orientação e representação espacial como expressão de territorialidades indígenas

- Abstract
O artigo analisa tensões entre práticas de localização, orientação e representação espacial próprias dos Indígenas Xakriabá e aquelas que se configuram quando estudantes desse povo participam de uma disciplina, ministrada na universidade e no território indígena, em uma licenciatura intercultural. Iluminadas pelo pensamento decolonial e fundamentadas em formulações indígena e não indígena, território é entendido como um espaço de poder, luta, resistência e uso, uma herança que passa de geração para geração, um dos sentidos da interculturalidade na vida contemporânea Xakriabá. Embasada nessa formulação, a análise da participação e dos registros dos estudantes - mapas, desenhos, textos - e relatos orais mostram que tensões surgem nas práticas, tanto na universidade quanto no território indígena porque os estudantes constroem representações espaciais em estreita relação com a dinâmica de uso do seu território que, muitas vezes, não podem ser representadas pelos elementos técnicos de projeção do espaço no plano ou mesmo pelas referências geográficas. Conclui-se que as práticas de formação vivenciadas pelos estudantes contribuíram para a construção de novas territorialidades e que o estudo dessas noções pode compor um currículo como ferramenta político-pedagógica de fortalecimento das relações etnoterritoriais de professores indígenas.

O texto problematiza o papel da matemática no currículo escolar do povo Guarani no município de Aracruz, Espírito Santo, Brasil. Parte da experiência de formação continuada com educadores guarani, na perspectiva da etnomatemática, desenvolvida ao longo das pesquisas de doutoramento das autoras. A escola indígena tem a tarefa de oferecer à sua comunidade acesso a informações e conhecimentos da sociedade nacional sendo, contudo, um espaço de diálogo intercultural que contribua na formação da identidade e da alteridade de cada povo. Na escola guarani, a matemática pode atuar nessas duas dimensões. Na medida que seus sujeitos investigam, questionam e se apropriam de saberes escolares dialogando com saberes tradicionais locais, a escola torna-se um ambiente de contínua produção de conhecimento.

Background Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is associated with high in-hospital mortality. Alveolar recruitment followed by ventilation at optimal titrated PEEP may reduce ventilator-induced lung injury and improve oxygenation in patients with ARDS, but the effects on mortality and other clinical outcomes remain unknown. This article reports the rationale, study design, and analysis plan of the Alveolar Recruitment for ARDS Trial (ART). Methods/Design ART is a pragmatic, multicenter, randomized (concealed), controlled trial, which aims to determine if maximum stepwise alveolar recruitment associated with PEEP titration is able to increase 28-day survival in patients with ARDS compared to conventional treatment (ARDSNet strategy). We will enroll adult patients with ARDS of less than 72 h duration. The intervention group will receive an alveolar recruitment maneuver, with stepwise increases of PEEP achieving 45 cmH2O and peak pressure of 60 cmH2O, followed by ventilation with optimal PEEP titrated according to the static compliance of the respiratory system. In the control group, mechanical ventilation will follow a conventional protocol (ARDSNet). In both groups, we will use controlled volume mode with low tidal volumes (4 to 6 mL/kg of predicted body weight) and targeting plateau pressure ≤30 cmH2O. The primary outcome is 28-day survival, and the secondary outcomes are: length of ICU stay; length of hospital stay; pneumothorax requiring chest tube during first 7 days; barotrauma during first 7 days; mechanical ventilation-free days from days 1 to 28; ICU, in-hospital, and 6-month survival. ART is an event-guided trial planned to last until 520 events (deaths within 28 days) are observed. These events allow detection of a hazard ratio of 0.75, with 90% power and two-tailed type I error of 5%. All analysis will follow the intention-to-treat principle. Discussion If the ART strategy with maximum recruitment and PEEP titration improves 28-day survival, this will represent a notable advance to the care of ARDS patients. Conversely, if the ART strategy is similar or inferior to the current evidence-based strategy (ARDSNet), this should also change current practice as many institutions routinely employ recruitment maneuvers and set PEEP levels according to some titration method. Investiga a práxis da educação intercultural no espaço da educação escolar indígena como meio de revitalização das culturas Tupinikim e Guarani. Objetiva problematizar a formação inicial e continuada dos professores indígenas; discutir a práxis da interculturalidade no contexto da educação escolar indígena; e, identificar outros espaços educativos da cultura e educação indígena. Analisa aspectos teóricos e práticos sobre cultura (WILLIAMS, 2008; BRANDÃO, 1989; FORQUIN, 1993; CANDAU, 2011; GEERTZ, 1989), interculturalidade (DAMBROSIO,1996; FLEURI, 2002; 2003; SCANDIUZZI, 2009;), identidade e alteridade (MELIÁ, 2000; FREIRE, 1981; 1987; LITAIFF, 2004) e práxis (FREIRE, 1989; VÁSQUEZ, 2011; SEMERARO, 2006) e educação (escolar) indígena de acordo com a legislação vigente. Realiza pesquisa interpretativa (GEERTZ, 1989) na educação escolar indígena junto aos professores indígenas Guarani das Aldeias de Boa Esperança e Três Palmeiras (2009-2010) e professores indígenas Tupinikim da Aldeia de Comboios (2011-2013) na perspectiva de um diálogo intercultural. Contribuem nos processos investigativos para produção, sistematização e análise de dados a realização de observações, entrevistas semiestruturadas, registros no caderno de campo, fotografias, gravações em áudio e em vídeo e análise documental sobre a educação escolar indígena de Aracruz. (ANDRÉ, 2007; GIL, 1999; 2004). Os resultados deste trabalho levantam questões relativas a duas realidades de educação escolar nas comunidades indígenas pesquisadas que se constituem em aspectos de sobrevivência e desencadeia formas para interagir e reagir em defesa de sua identidade e dignidade. Nesse sentido, a escola é um local de vivências e de encontro, vista e sentida pelas lideranças e pela comunidade como uma possibilidade real para desenvolver um elo entre as formas tradicionais de vida e as formas contemporâneas. O desafio de garantir uma escola nestes termos significa concretizar a proposta de um projeto de educação escolar para os povos indígenas, constituído por especificidades de como trabalhar a terra, pelo reconhecimento de suas tradições, das línguas e da memória coletiva. Distante de apresentar respostas conclusivas propõe uma educação escolar, coletiva e participativa, que critica e dialoga com todos os envolvidos no processo educativo.

To determine whether there is a subset of young patients (35 years) with acute, post-traumatic insults to the rotator cuff which mimic the early stages of impingement.One hundred and ninety-seven consecutive shoulder MR images were retrospectively reviewed, and the results of 83 clinically correlated. Two observers independently evaluated the location of intra-tendon signal and adjacent bone marrow abnormalities on T1- and T2-weighted images. These findings were correlated with age, history of trauma, and surgical or clinical follow-ups.Patients younger than 35 years had signal intensity that was more localized in atypical locations (posterior aspect of the supraspinatus tendon), more commonly associated with marrow abnormalities (presumed bone bruise), and more often associated with trauma. Younger patients also were less likely to require surgery, especially if they showed bone bruises. This differentiated them from older patients (45 years), who demonstrated more widespread signal within the tendon, rare bone bruises, and more frequent surgery.Localized tendon signal in atypical locations of the supraspinatus tendon, particularly when associated with bone bruise and young age, suggests the possibility of a post-traumatic strain.

Aim: to analyze nursing care practices at a Specialized Outpatient Care Center from the perspective of an integrative health care activity. Method: Interviews with 24 nursing professionals were undertaken. For data analysis, Thematic Content Analysis as proposed by Bardin was applied, resulting in the following themes: the team size and its commitment to health care; professional practices and activity of the nursing team. Results: The size of the nursing team was considered insufficient, which compromises the quality of care and results in work overload and dissatisfaction of the nursing professionals. On the other hand, they were satisfied with the tasks performed day-to-day and related integrality to individual care, considered it essential and usually practiced it daily. Conclusion: It is considered that the nursing team has the potential and commitment to develop their care practice combined with the integrative perspective, and therefore providing quality health care to the population.
