- Abstract
The article reports on the sales generated by Christie's on its auction of Latin American art works in New York City. These include Diego Rivera's "Vendedora de flores" bringing $2.9 million, the art work considered to have generated the highest payment in the auction, David Alfaro Siqueiro's mural "Retrato de Mexico de Hoy" for $750,000, and Fernando Botero's "Los Amantes" for $440,000. It was found that the art works of Wilfredo Lam, Rufino Tamayo, and Botero have gained lower payments. It reveals that the total art works sold in the auction amounted to $9,785,105.
