Introduction: Financial toxicity can increase healthcare costs, in addition to negatively impacting the therapeutic adherence and healthrelated quality of life of cancer patients within the public healthcare system. Objective: To correlate financial toxicity with the adults living with cancer health-related quality of life during the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and Methods: This is an observational, cross-sectional, correlational study conducted with 179 patients receiving care from the Unified Health System in a capital city in southern Brazil. Data collection was performed from September 2021 to December 2022, using questionnaires containing sociodemographic and clinical data, and the Comprehensive Score for Financial Toxicity and the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General. The correlation between financial toxicity and health-related quality of life was assessed using Spearman's correlation coefficient at a 5 % significance level. Results: The correlation between financial toxicity and health-related quality of life was 0.41 (p-value < 0.001). The financial toxicity and health-related quality of life scores were 20.1/44 and 73.3/108, respectively. Conclusion: This study has found that the lower the financial toxicity, the better the patients' health-related quality of life. In this sense, recognizing the presence of financial toxicity in the treatment course could help improve adherence to treatment and health-related quality of life. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Evidence confirms that the satisfaction perceived by the nursing staff is associated with indicators of the professionals' well-being and quality of the provided services. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to investigate factors associated with reports of job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was assessed based on the validated question: "Are you satisfied with your work?". Stratified and proportional random sampling included nurses, nursing aides and technicians from the municipal health network. The multivariate model was based on the Poisson regression technique with robust variances to estimate factors independently associated with job satisfaction. A total of 290 subjects participated: 73.8% of them reported job satisfaction. Age, having strong social support and better working conditions were positively associated with satisfaction. Positive screening for common mental disorders was negatively associated with satisfaction. The emphasis on the work environment and type of management indicates the relevance of these factors for the strengthening of human resources in health. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objectives: to determine the prevalence and the association between socio-demo graphic, obstetric and nutritional variables and anxiety symptoms in pregnant women. Methods: the study involved cohorts with five follow-up stages. A cross-sectional analysis was carried out of 151 pregnant women. The presence or absence of anxiety was treated as the dependent variable, which was measured between 19 and 21 weeks of gestation. The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAIT) scale was used to evaluate the anxiety trait. The socio-demographic, obstetric and nutritional data obtained using a questionnaire were treated as independent variables. The statistical analysis was performed using a multivariate Poisson regression with robust variance. Results: the mean age was 25 years and mean level of schooling nine years. The prevalence of anxiety was 64.9% (95%CI: 56.7-72.5). The anxiety trait was associated with age between 18 and 24.9 years (PRJ.35; 95%CI: 1.06-1.71) and 1-8 years of schooling (PR= 1.39; 95%CI: 1.11-1.73). Conclusions: it was observed that the anxiety trait was highly prevalent in this sample of pregnant women whose progress was followed at a health care center. Knowledge of the factors associated with the anxiety is offundamental importance in allowing the health team to intervene in a timely and appropriate fashion in a pregnant woman ~ treatment.
