Microgrids are undergoing higher penetrations of renewables and associated power electronics, along with precise and sophisticated control and communication networks. However, such cyber-physical systems might suffer from potential cybersecurity threats and inherent low inertia. This means that microgrids require detection strategies in a different way from conventional power systems to cope with intelligent cyberattacks. This project proposes a data-driven anomaly detection method that reports the subdivided categories of abnormal data. It has been examined by cyberattacks upon the sensors and actuators inside inverters and the inter-inverter communication in microgrids. The detection is model-free, fed by the original electrical measurements after input de-redundancy. Three different deep learning networks, namely Long Short Term Memory (LSTM), Convolutional Neural Networks- (CNN-) LSTM, and Convolutional LSTM (ConvLSTM), are adopted for time series classification, achieving nearly 100% accuracy in attack diagnosis and locating as in case studies. Multiple attacks of Gaussian-based False Data Injection (FDI), random Denial-of-Service (DoS), and continued time-delay attacks are modeled, and the evaluation is implemented on Matlab/Simulink and Python. In particular, a distributed strategy is deployed for microgrids with partially communicated distributed secondary control. Distributed detection method and centralized detection method are comparable in terms of accuracy; further, the former has advantages in terms of mitigated communication burden, less required computing capacity, and higher scalability to large-scale distributed systems., Andelen förnybara energikällor ökar i microgrids elgenereringen samtidigt som det skapas noggrannare och mer sofistikerade kontroll- och kommunikationsnätverk.
