Objective: To determine the prevalence and factors associated with depressive disorder among Peruvian older adults over 60 years of age. Materials and methods: An observational, analytical and cross-sectional study was conducted based on a secondary analysis of the 2019 Encuesta Demográfica y de Salud Familiar (ENDES - National Demographic and Family Health Survey), administered at national level by Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática del Perú (INEI - National Institute of Statistics and Informatics of Peru). The sample consisted of 4,174 older adults. The main variable was suffering from a depressive disorder (depressed/not depressed) and the independent variables were age, sex, educational level, wealth quintile (classified into five levels of wealth), area of residence (classified as urban/rural), geographic domain (classified as Lima Metropolitan Area, the rest of the coast, the highlands and the jungle), health coverage (classified as insured/uninsured), alcohol consumption (yes/no), smoking (yes/no) and presence of a disability (yes/no). Analyses of absolute and relative frequencies, differences in proportions and a multivariate analysis using generalized linear models (GLM) were performed. Results: The prevalence of depressive disorder and disability accounted for 13.18 % and 7.86 %, respectively. Older males were less likely to suffer from a depressive disorder (PRa = 0.602; 95 % CI: 0.513-0.706) than females, and the group over 85 years of age showed a higher risk than those from 60 to 74 years (PRa = 1.664; 95 % CI: 1.304-2.124). Besides, not presenting a disability behaved as a preventive factor (PRa = 0.542; 95 % CI: 0.440-0.668), while a higher educational level and wealth quintile, starting from the “Middle” quintile, were protective factors when taking the categories "No education" and "The poorest" as reference, respectively (p < 0.005). Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio observacional, analítico y transversal a partir de un análisis secundario de la Encuesta Demográfica y de Salud Familiar (ENDES) del año 2019, aplicada con un alcance nacional por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática del Perú (INEI). La muestra fue de 4174 adultos mayores. Se consideró como variable principal el padecer de trastorno depresivo (con depresión/sin depresión) y como variables independientes, edad, sexo, grado de instrucción, quintil de riqueza (clasificado en cinco niveles de riqueza), área de residencia (clasificada como urbano y rural), dominio geográfico (clasificado como Lima Metropolitana, resto de la Costa, Sierra y Selva), cobertura de salud (clasificada como sin cobertura y con cobertura), consumo de alcohol (sí/no), hábito de fumar (sí/no) y presencia de discapacidad (sí/no). Se realizaron análisis de frecuencias absolutas y relativas, diferencias de proporciones y un análisis multivariado mediante modelos lineales generalizados. Resultados: La prevalencia del trastorno depresivo fue del 13,18 % y de la discapacidad, 7,86 %. Los adultos mayores de sexo masculino tuvieron menos probabilidades de padecer trastorno depresivo (RPa = 0,602; IC 95 %: 0,513-0,706) que las mujeres, así como los integrantes del grupo etario de mayores de 85 años presentaron mayor riesgo que los de 60 a 74 (RPa = 1,664; IC 95 %: 1,304-2,124). Además, el no padecer de alguna discapacidad se comportó como un factor preventivo (RPa = 0,542; IC 95 %: 0,440-0,668), mientras que un mayor grado de instrucción y quintil de riqueza, desde el quintil “medio”, indicaron también ser factores de protección al tomarse como referencia las categorías “sin educación” y “los más pobres”, respectivamente (p < 0,005). In quantitative electroencephalography, it is of vital importance to eliminate non-neural components, as these can lead to an erroneous analysis of the acquired signals, limiting their use in diagnosis and other clinical applications. In light of this drawback, preprocessing pipelines based on the joint use of the Wavelet Transform and the Independent Component Analysis technique (wICA) were proposed in the 2000s. Recently, with the advent of data-driven methods, deep learning models were developed for the automatic labeling of independent components, which constitutes an opportunity for the optimization of ICA-based techniques. In this paper, ICLabel, one of these deep learning models, was added to the wICA methodology in order to explore its improvement. To assess the usefulness of this approach, it was compared to different pipelines which feature the use of wICA and ICLabel independently and a lack thereof. The impact of each pipeline was measured by its capacity to highlight known statistical differences between asymptomatic carriers of the PSEN-1 E280A mutation and a healthy control group. Specifically, the between-group effect size and the P-values were calculated to compare the pipelines. The results show that using ICLabel for artifact removal can improve the effect size (ES) and that, by leveraging it with wICA, an artifact smoothing approach that is less prone to the loss of neural information can be built., En la electroencefalografía cuantitativa es de vital importancia la eliminación de componentes no neuronales, ya que estos pueden conducir a un análisis erróneo de las señales adquiridas, limitando su uso al diagnóstico y otras aplicaciones clínicas. Dado este inconveniente, en la década de 2000 se propusieron flujos de preprocesamiento basados ​​en el uso conjunto de la Transformada Wavelet y la técnica de Análisis de Componentes Independientes (wICA). Recientemente, con la llegada de los métodos basados en datos, se desarrollaron modelos de aprendizaje profundo para el etiquetado automático de componentes independientes, lo que generó una oportunidad para la optimización de las técnicas basadas en ICA. En este estudio, se añadió ICLabel, uno de estos modelos de aprendizaje profundo, a la metodología de wICA para explorar su mejora. Para evaluar la utilidad de este enfoque, se comparó con diferentes flujos que muestran el uso de wICA e ICLabel de forma independiente y en su ausencia. El impacto de cada flujo se midió mediante su capacidad para resaltar diferencias estadísticas conocidas entre los portadores asintomáticos de la mutación PSEN-1 E280A y un grupo de control sano. Se calcularon específicamente el tamaño del efecto entre grupos y los valores P para comparar los flujos. Los resultados muestran que el uso de ICLabel para la eliminación de artefactos puede mejorar el tamaño del efecto (ES) y que, al aprovecharlo con wICA, se puede construir un enfoque de suavizado de artefactos menos susceptible a la pérdida de información neuronal.

Introduction Prematurity is considered as birth before the 37th week of gestational age and 65% of these neonates have low birth weight (Verdura, 2011). Prematurity is the most frequent cause of perinatal morbidity and is responsible for 75% of neonatal deaths. Thus, the objective of this article is to describe the contextual factors related to prematurity in the Colombian population based on data from the 2018 census. Method Descriptive cross-sectional study, which used the Vital Statistics (DANE) database., identifying premature newborns for the period 1998-2018. For the characterization of the contextual factors, the following variables are taken into account: gestation time of the live birth, sex, age of the mother, multiplicity of pregnancy, marital status of the mother, educational level and ethnicity Results Prematurity is associated to low birth weight in a high percentage in 35.32%, adolescent women (between 10 and 19 years old) present premature birth in 23.21%, an important factor is the low prenatal control present in 77.38% and the low level of education of the mother is present in 20.14% Conclusion The contextual factors associated with prematurity were the presence of prenatal care and to a lesser extent the age of the mother, low birth weight and the level of education of the mother. La prematurez es la causa más frecuente de morbilidad perinatal y es responsable del 75% de las muertes neonatales. Es así como el objetivo de ese artículo es realizar una descripción de los factores contextuales relacionados con la prematurez en la población colombiana basados en los datos del censo 2018. Método Estudio descriptivo de corte transversal, que utilizó la base de datos de Estadísticas Vitales (DANE), identificando los recién nacidos prematuros para el periodo 1998-2018. Para la caracterización de los factores contextuales se tiene en cuenta las siguientes variables: tiempo de gestación del nacido vivo, sexo, edad de la madre, multiplicidad del embarazo, el estado civil de la madre, nivel educativo y pertenencia étnica. Resultados La prematurez está asociada al bajo peso al nacer en un alto porcentaje en un 35.32%, las mujeres adolescentes (entre los 10 y los 19 años) presentan parto prematuro en un 23.21%, un factor importante es el bajo control prenatal presente en un 77.38% y el bajo nivel de escolaridad de la madre está presente en un 20.14%. Conclusiones Los factores contextuales asociados a la prematurez fueron la presencia de control prenatal y en menos proporción la edad de la madre, el bajo peso al nacer y el nivel de escolaridad de la madre.

Methodology Review of the literature with the combination of keywords such as Monitoring, Performance, sports training load, Periodization in databases such as Pubmed, Ebsco, Medline, Scopus, Science Direct Results, it was possible to identify 65 articles that refer to the existence of technological tools to carry out a monitoring process ion and periodization from rehabilitation, prevention, load control, recovery and sports readaptation that allow the generation of statistical data and create profiles from each area of ​​action of the sports physiotherapist. Conclusion Physiotherapy is a profession in charge of many sports processes that must be monitored and generate data that allow processes to be standardized, create specific monitoring profiles to facilitate decision-making from the biomedical team and research in high-performance sports merging practice with the scientific evidence., RESUMEN Introducción El concepto de monitorización y periodización es un visión que se ha desarrollado en la última década, donde se busca que se pueda tener un control de la carga interna y externa en los deportistas de distintas disciplinas deportivas producidas por el proceso de interacción con variables de prescripción de ejercicio que causan modificaciones a nivel fisiológico, bioquímico, biomecanico, muscular, neuromuscular ocasionando la tensión en los subsistemas del movimiento corporal humano generando adaptaciones especificas ante una carga determinada la cual puede ser medida mediante el uso de tecnología especifica o test indirectos Metodología Revisión de la literatura con la combinación de palabras clave como Monitoring, Performance, sports training load, Periodization en bases de datos como Pubmed, Ebsco, Medline, Scopus, Science Direct Resultados se pudo identificar 65 artículos que referencian la existencia de herramientas tecnológicas para realizar un proceso de monitorización y periodización desde la rehabilitación , prevención, control de carga, recuperación y readaptación deportiva que permiten la generación de datos estadísticos y crear perfiles desde cada área de actuación del fisioterapeuta deportivo. Conclusión la fisioterapia es una profesión encargada de muchos procesos deportivos que deben ser monitorizados y generen datos que permitan estandarizar procesos, crear perfiles de seguimiento específicos para facilitar la toma de decisiones desde el equipo biomédico e investigaciones en el deporte de alto rendimiento fusionando la practica con la evidencia científica.
