This study aims to examine the impact of students' entrepreneurial self-efficacy on their opportunity recognition capability after their exposure to classroom-based entrepreneurship education, leading to the development of intention to undertake an entrepreneurial activity. A detailed questionnaire was used to collect data from 351 students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Results confirm that the student's entrepreneurial self-efficacy positively influences their intention to undertake an entrepreneurial activity directly and indirectly via their opportunity recognition capability. Also, entrepreneurship education significantly moderates the link between students' entrepreneurial self-efficacy and opportunity recognition capability. These results have practical implications for universities and policymakers, as universities that are not providing entrepreneurship education can adopt the same module of classroom education. Also, policymakers can frame policies directing institutions to start similar kinds of entrepreneurship education programs, even at the intermediate level, particularly in lower-middle-income countries.

Objectives: People who stutter (PWS) experience many problems in their lives in addition to speech fluency disorder. Meanwhile, stuttering reduces their quality of life (QoL). QoL depends on different social, economic, and cultural conditions of societies. Considering that there is no specific questionnaire to investigate the QoL in Iranian PWS; this study develops and evaluates the psychometric properties of a stuttering related QoL questionnaire (SRQoLQ). Methods: First, by interviewing 11 PWS, with the help of 10 speech-language pathologists in the stuttering field, in addition to reviewing the literature, initial items were developed and a preliminary version of the SRQoLQ was designed. The content validity of the SRQoLQ was evaluated using two qualitative and quantitative methods (determining content validity ratio and content validity index) using the opinions of 12 experts. The qualitative method was also used to determine the face validity and interviews were conducted with 10 PWS. Finally, the reliability of the SRQoLQ was investigated through internal consistency and test re-test reliability with the participation of 83 and 30 PWS, respectively. Results: Interviews with PWS and experts in addition to literature review led to the development of a questionnaire with 40 items. After determining content and face validity, the number of items in the SRQoLQ was reduced to 32. The results of calculating the Cronbach α coefficient showed the appropriate reliability of the SRQoLQ (0.96). The intraclass correlation coefficient of the SRQoLQ items in the test re-test phase ranged from 0.6 to 0.95. Moreover, the intraclass correlation coefficient value of the SRQoLQ was 0.95. Discussion: A suitable tool was developed to evaluate the QoL of PWS, and its psychometric properties were investigated. Based on the results, the SRQoLQ for PWS is a valid and reliable tool with 32 items that can be used for clinical or research purposes in the field of stuttering.

We describe a case of an immunocompetent adult male patient originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), who was referred to our unit for a several-day history of fever and a pruritic, vesicular rash. There was initial concern in the Emergency Department for Mpox (formerly known as “monkeypox”) given the current epidemiology versus other viral etiologies. Primary varicella zoster virus (pVZV) infection was ultimately diagnosed by PCR from a swabbed, unroofed lesion, and he recovered completely with supportive management and without antiviral therapy. We herein describe how common viral exanthems may best be differentiated in an emergency or outpatient setting.

Background: To examine visual outcome and vision related quality of life after Implantable Collamer Lens for Moderate to High Myopia and Myopic Astigmatism. Material and methods: A hospital-based prospective, interventional, observational study has been carried out to evaluate functional outcomes and patient satisfaction following phakic ICL implantation for the treatment of myopia and myopic astigmatism. In this study, we included 44 eyes of 26 patients, 15 females (58%) and 11 males (42%), mean age 24.56 ± 4.98 years (range: 18-35) with preoperative myopia (mean ± standard deviation [SD] refraction spherical equivalent, -11.485 ± 4.78 D). To investigate the effects of ICL implantation, we had compared between two groups: one group before surgery and another group one month after surgery. Abstract Lecithin is constituted of a glycerophospholipid mixture and is abundantly used as an emulsifying agent in various food applications including chocolate production. However, overconsumption of lecithin may create an adverse effect on human health. Thus, this study aims to replace the lecithin with plant‐based gums. Different ratios of guar and arabic gum (25%–75%) and their blend (25%–75%) were employed as partial replacement of lecithin. Milk chocolate prepared using 40% guar gum (60GGL [guar gum, lecithin]), 25% arabic gum (75AGL [arabic gum, lecithin]), and a blend of 15 arabic gum and 10 guar gum (65AGGL [arabic gum, guar gum, lecithin]) showed similar rheological behavior as compared to control chocolate (100% lecithin). The fat content of 65AGGL (37.85%) was significantly lower than that of the control sample (43.37%). Rheological behavior exhibited shear‐thinning behavior and samples (60GGL‐75GGL‐80GGL, 65AGL‐75AGL, and 65AGGL‐75AGGL) showed similar rheological properties as compared to control. Objectives: Communication disorders in children can change the parents’ lives. Some quantitative studies have investigated the effects of children’s disorders on parents’ quality of life (QoL) using questionnaires. These quantitative studies cannot comprehensively determine the extent of the impacts of such disorders in children on parents’ QoL. Quantitative studies have investigated the QoL using a few limited questions. However, qualitative studies can explore aspects of reality using a full, comprehensive, and in-depth way that may not be quantified by questionnaires. Therefore, this study qualitatively explains the effects of communication disorders in children on parents’ QoL. Methods: In this original research, 14 parents who had children with communication disorders consented to participate in semi-structured interviews. The participants were selected purposefully and the sampling was continued until the data was saturated. The interviews were transcribed and then analyzed through qualitative content analysis. Results: Qualitative content analysis of the interviews extracted five main themes, including physical effects, psychological effects, economic effects, family dynamics effects, and job-educational effects. Each of these themes consists of several subthemes. Discussion: The study revealed the depth of the negative influences of children’s communication disorders on the parents’ QoL. Screening for parental QoL and providing family support systems for parents of children with communication disorders are warranted based on these findings. Moreover, the findings of the current study can be used for the development of new instruments for measuring QoL or caregiver burden among parents of children with communication disorders.

Abstract Robotic platforms provide a stable tool with high-definition views and improved ergonomics compared to laparoscopic approaches. The aim of this retrospective study was to compare the intra- and short-term postoperative results of oncological resections performed robotically (RCR) and laparoscopically (LCR) at a single centre. Between February 2020 and October 2022, retrospective data on RCR were compared to LCR undertaken during the same period. Parameters compared include total operative time, length of stay (LOS), re-admission rates, 30-day morbidity. 100 RCR and 112 LCR satisfied inclusion criteria. There was no difference between the two group’s demographic and tumour characteristics. Overall, median operative time was shorter in LCR group [200 vs. 247.5 min, p 0.95]. With respect to perioperative outcomes, there was no difference in the overall morbidity, or mortality between RCR and LCR, in particular requirement for blood transfusion [3(3%) vs. 5(4.5%), p 0.72], prolonged ileus [9(9%) vs. 15(13.2%), p 0.38], surgical site infections [5(4%) vs. 5(4.4%), p > 0.95], anastomotic leak [7(7%) vs. 5(4.4%), p 0.55], and re-operation rate [9(9%) vs. 7(6.3%), p 0.6]. RCR had shorter LOS by one night, but this did not reach statistical significance. No difference was observed in completeness of resection but there was a statically significant increase in lymph node harvest in the robotic series. Robotic approach to oncological colorectal resections is safe, with comparable intra- and peri-operative morbidity and mortality to laparoscopic surgery.

Introduction Despite declared life-course principles in non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention and management, worldwide focus has been on older rather than younger populations. However, the burden from childhood NCDs has mounted; particularly in low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs). There is limited knowledge regarding the implementation of paediatric NCD policies and programmes in LMICs, despite their disproportionate burden of morbidity and mortality. We aimed to understand the barriers to and facilitators of paediatric NCD policy and programme implementation in LMICs.Methods We systematically searched medical databases, Web of Science and WHOLIS for studies on paediatric NCD policy and programme implementation in LMICs. Screening and quality assessment were performed independently by researchers, using consensus to resolve differences. Data extraction was conducted within the WHO health system building-blocks framework. Narrative thematic synthesis was conducted.Results 93 studies (1992–2020) were included, spanning 86 LMICs. Most were of moderate or high quality. 78% reported on paediatric NCDs outside the four major NCD categories contributing to the adult burden. Across the framework, more barriers than facilitators were identified. The most prevalently reported factors were related to health service delivery, with system fragmentation impeding the continuity of age-specific NCD care. A significant facilitator was intersectoral collaborations between health and education actors to deliver care in trusted community settings. Non-health factors were also important to paediatric NCD policies and programmes, such as community stakeholders, sociocultural support to caregivers and school disruptions.Conclusions Multiple barriers prevent the optimal implementation of paediatric NCD policies and programmes in LMIC health systems. The low sociopolitical visibility of paediatric NCDs limits their prioritisation, resulting in fragmented service delivery and constraining the integration of programmes across key sectors impacting children, including health, education and social services. Implementation research is needed to understand specific contextual solutions to improve access to paediatric NCD services in diverse LMIC settings.

Dragon fruit or pitaya is an incredible functional food that provides nutraceutical benefits owing to its prebiotic activity and has gained attention in recent years owing to its multiple therapeutic values such as anti-oxidant, anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, anti-microbial, hepatoprotective and anti-hyperlipidemic activities. It also exhibits wound healing, anti-anemic, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and microvascular protective properties. These therapeutic values have been a result of different phytoconstituents such as polyphenols, pigments, flavonoids, fatty acids, terpenoids, steroids, vitamins, sugars, minerals and dietary fibers which can be extracted from peel, seeds and flesh part. This review describes wide range of functional components that the fruit contains; their method of extraction and the therapeutic activities they offer. The anti-oxidant and anti-cancer effects of the dragon fruit are attributed to the presence of polyphenols, terpenoids, flavonoids and pigments etc. Its nutraceutical activities are facilitated by the fatty acids, vitamins and sugars; while the anti-diabetic effects are mainly due to presence of flavonoids. Further, flavonoids are also responsible for the hepato-protective and tissue repair activities. The increasing interest of researchers on this fruit may further reveal new therapeutic activities of this extraordinary fruit in coming years.

Abstract Objective Cutaneous Leishmaniasis (CL) is one of the highly prevalent endemic diseases in the Middle East. The disease is a complex skin infection imposing a heavy burden on many developing countries. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of adding oral fluconazole to topical cryotherapy on the treatment efficacy and time to achieve complete recovery of CL lesions. Method This triple-blind randomized clinical trial included 52 participants with CL. Participants were allocated to receive either weekly cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen and oral fluconazole at a dose of 6 mg/kg daily at a maximum of 400 mg for 6 weeks as the interventional arm or weekly cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen plus the placebo for the same period of 6 weeks as the control arm. Results Fifty-two eligible participants enrolled the study, with a CL lesion count of 1 to 8 (mean 1.96), and served as the interventional (n = 28) and control (n = 24) arms. The trend of the mean surface area of the lesions was significantly decreasing in both arms (P 0.05). There was no significant difference between the treatment arms in terms of the end-point recovery status (P = 0.491) or the frequency of post-treatment secretion (P = 0.437). No adverse effect was observed. Conclusion Despite a slightly higher reduction in the lesion surface in the cryotherapy and fluconazole treatment arm, the addition of fluconazole did not provide statistically significant therapeutic value to cryotherapy in the treatment of CL. However, with adjustment for the initial lesion size, the efficacy of the regimen in the interventional arm was more pronounced, though it was still insignificant.

Abstract Higher nighttime blood pressure (BP), less BP dipping, and higher BP variability have been linked with worse cognitive function in the elderly. The goal of this study is to explore whether this relationship already exists in early and middle adulthood. We further examined whether ethnic differences between African Americans and European Americans in BP parameters can explain ethnic differences in cognitive function. 24‐h ambulatory BP monitoring and cognitive function were obtained from 390 participants (average age: 37.2 years with a range of 25–50; 54.9% African Americans; 63.6% females). We observed that higher nighttime BP, decreased dipping, and higher variability were significantly associated with lower scores on the Picture Sequence Memory Test. Significant negative associations between variability and overall composite scores were also observed. No significant associations between average 24‐h or daytime BP and cognitive function were observed. Shared sanitation services continue to expand in India's growing cities, yet, these facilities are blighted by issues including lack of privacy, overflow of raw sewage, and notably, a lack of water supply. Access to water in shared toilets for menstruating women and girls to wash themselves, their reusable menstrual products, their stained clothes, and sanitation infrastructure is a critical but all too-often neglected aspect of menstrual hygiene management (MHM). Drawing on the existing literature and data from Maharashtra, this commentary article uses the example of urban India to highlight the ‘need of the hour’, the provision of water in shared sanitation facilities in the global South for MHM as and when required. Evidence-based water supply norms in shared sanitation for MHM, from menarche to the perimenopause, are key, to highlight the need for water as an ‘MHM plus’ requirement for women and girls reliant on shared facilities. Connecting shared toilets to piped water is a long-term process, but the provision of water in buckets is a start. Hygiene promotion can create awareness of the importance of water for sustainable MHM. Monitoring and evaluation can determine the impact of supplying water in shared toilets on MHM. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic potential of gastric antrum histology in children suspected of having celiac disease (CD). The present retrospective study was performed on 224 patients who were suspected of having CD and had several duodenal and one gastric antrum biopsies. They were divided into 2 groups based on the definite diagnosis of CD. The statistical analysis was performed using SPSS version 22 software. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were drown and the area under the curves (AUCs) was calculated. Article authorized by the Editor-in-Chief. Based on MARSH criteria, out of 224 patients, 124 were diagnosed as definite CD and 100 patients comprised the non-celiac group. The AUC for the mean of all pathological tests was estimated to be 0.90 (p < 0.001). The pooled AUC for the combination of 3 pathologic findings with the highest AUCs (cell, crypt, and gland size) was estimated to be 0.89 (p < 0.001). We observed that the histological changes we found in the gastric antrum were identical to those found in the duodenum of paediatric CD patients. Because providing a biopsy from the gastric antrum is easier than getting multiple biopsies from the duodenum, we suggest using the criteria mentioned in this study in other studies with larger sample sizes.

Background: Cerebral vasospasm is a reversible vessel constriction following subarachnoid hemorrhage. Immunoreactive and inflammatory mechanisms induce long-term vasoconstriction and vessel dilatation inhibition. We hypothesized that D-penicillamine depresses this process given that it reduces the concentration of free oxygen (O2) radicals. We evaluated the effects of D-penicillamine on cerebral vasospasm in rabbits induced with subarachnoid hemorrhage, achieved by autologous blood injection in the basal cistern. Materials and methods: Four experimental groups were studied: Group 1: basilar angiography, Group 2: basilar angiography + D-penicillamine, Group 3: subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), and Group 4: SAH + D-penicillamine. Vessel diameter and cerebral vasospasm were evaluated angiographically in each group. Vascular degeneration was studied by electron microscopy of the basilar artery. Free O2 radicals were investigated based on measurements of the levels of vascular superoxide dismutase and malondialdehyde. Myasthenia gravis–like side effects of D-penicillamine application were analyzed by electromyography and electron microscopy of the orbicularis oculi muscle. Results: We detected a 9.03% decrease in basilar artery constriction in Group 4 compared with Group 3. In addition, levels of free O2 radicals were reduced in Groups 2 and 4. Application of D-penicillamine resulted in the prevention of basilar artery wall degeneration, without myasthenia gravis–like side effects. Conclusion: Our study indicated that D-penicillamine application induced vasodilatation and had anti-inflammatory effects.

Background: Aggressive periodontitis is a severe form of periodontal disease characterized by rapid tissue destruction and tooth loss. The optimal treatment approach for managing this condition remains a topic of debate. Materials and Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted, involving patients diagnosed with aggressive periodontitis who received either surgical or non-surgical treatment between 2010 and 2020. Clinical and radiographic data were collected at baseline and regular intervals over a 5-year follow-up period. Surgical interventions included flap surgery, guided tissue regeneration, and bone grafting, while non-surgical treatments comprised scaling and root planning with or without adjunctive antibiotics. The primary outcomes assessed included changes in probing depth, clinical attachment level, tooth loss, and patient-reported quality of life measures. Results: A total of 120 patients were included in the study, with 60 patients in each treatment group. The surgical group demonstrated significantly greater reductions in probing depth and gains in clinical attachment level compared to the non-surgical group (P < 0.05). Tooth loss was significantly lower in the surgical group over the 5 years (P < 0.01). Patient-reported outcomes also favored the surgical group, with improved oral health-related quality of life. However, the surgical group had a higher incidence of postoperative complications. Conclusion: This study suggests that periodontal surgery yields superior long-term outcomes in the management of aggressive periodontitis compared to non-surgical treatment.

Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) and autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) are relatively common genetic conditions with considerable overlap in clinical presentation. In addition to similarities between the signs and symptoms in sickle cell nephropathy and ADPKD, more than half of SCD patients have kidney cysts. The co-occurrence of these two diseases has not been previously reported in the literature. Case diagnosis/treatment A 16-year-old Black male with SCD had bilateral kidney enlargement and multiple simple cysts on ultrasound. Although kidney cysts are significantly more common in individuals affected with SCD, genetic testing with a broad kidney gene panel was performed to explore the possible presence of another underlying genetic cause of his cysts, in addition to SCD. A dual diagnosis of SCD and ADPKD was made following the identification of two copies of the common pathogenic sickle cell HBB variant (c.20A > T, p.Glu7Val) and a pathogenic missense variant in PKD1 (c.8311G > A, p.Glu2771Lys). Conclusions SCD and ADPKD differ in pathophysiological mechanisms and treatment regimens. As such, it will be paramount for this teenager to be closely monitored for signs of diminished kidney function and to be co-managed as he transitions to adult care to ensure proper treatment and management. Early identification of individuals with both SCD and a co-occurring condition is crucial to ensuring proper clinical management. In this paper, copper-gold and copper-silver bimetallic surface nanospheres were formed using ArF excimer laser irradiation with a wavelength of 193 nm and a duration of 15 ns on thin film samples consisting of two metal layers deposited on BK7 glass. The density and shape of the structures were obtained under different irradiation conditions. The optical properties, morphology, and stability of optimal copper-gold and copper-silver structures were compared. The results show that high-density copper-gold core-shell nanospheres with high optical response and stability are produced at a fluence of 150 mJ/cm2 and 5 laser pulses. Silver-copper nanostructures showed lower density, weaker optical response, and lower stability than other nanostructures. The obtained copper-gold nanostructures are suitable for use in plasmonic applications such as biosensors and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy.

Abstract Sleep variability (e.g. intra-individual variabilities in sleep duration or sleep timing, social jetlag, and catch-up sleep) is an important factor impacting health and mortality. However, limited information is available on the distribution of these sleep parameters across the human life span. We aimed to provide distribution of sleep variability related parameters across lifespan by sex and race in a national representative sample from the U.S. population. The study included 9981 participants 6 years and older from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2011–2014, who had 4–7 days of valid 24-h accelerometer recording with at least one day obtained during weekend (Friday or Saturday night). Of the study participants, 43% showed ≥ 60 min sleep duration standard deviation (SD), 51% experienced ≥ 60 min catch-up sleep, 20% showed ≥ 60 min sleep midpoint SD, and 43% experienced ≥ 60 min social jetlag. American youth and young adults averaged greater sleep variability compared to other age groups. Non-Hispanic Blacks showed greater sleep variability in all parameters compared to other racial groups. There was a main effect of sex on sleep midpoint SD and social jetlag with males averaging slightly more than females. Our study provides important observations on sleep variability parameters of residents of the United States by using objectively measured sleep patterns and will provide unique insights for personalized advice on sleep hygiene.

Abstract Background People experiencing homelessness also experience poorer health and frequently attend acute care settings when primary health care would be better equipped to meet their needs. Existing scholarship identifies a complex mix of individual and structural‐level factors affecting primary health care engagement driving this pattern of health services utilisation. We build on this existing knowledge, by bringing the spatio‐temporal configurations of primary health care into focus. Specifically, we interrogate how space and time inflect situated practices and relations of care. Methods This study took an ethnographic approach and was conducted 2021–2022 at an inclusive health and wellness centre ("the Centre") in Southeast Queensland, Australia. The data consists of 46 interviews with 48 people with lived experience of homelessness, including participants who use the services offered at the Centre (n = 26) and participants who do not (n = 19). We also interviewed 20 clinical and non‐clinical service providers affiliated with the Centre and observed how service delivery took place. Interviews and observations were complemented by visual data, including participant‐produced photography. All data were analysed employing a narrative framework. Results We present three interrelated themes demonstrating how space and time affect care, that is ‘staying safe’, ‘feeling welcome’ and ‘being seen’. ‘Staying safe’ captures the perceptions and practices around safety, which sit in tension with making service users feel welcome. ‘Feeling welcome’ attends to the sense of being invited to use services free of judgment. ‘Being seen’ depicts capacities to see a health care provider as well as being understood in one's lived experience. Conclusion Spatio‐temporal configurations, such as attendance policies, consultation modalities and time allocated to care encounters afford differential opportunities to nurture reciprocal relations. We conclude that flexible service configurations can leverage a relational model of care. Patient or Public Contribution Service providers were consulted during the design stage of the project and had opportunities to inform data collection instruments. Two service providers contributed to the manuscript as co‐authors. People with lived experience of homelessness who use the services at the inclusive health centre contributed as research participants and provided input into the dissemination of findings. The photography they produced has been featured in an in‐person exhibition, to which some have contributed as consultants or curators. It is hoped that their insights into experiences of welcomeness, safety and being seen will inform flexible and relational primary health care design, delivery, and evaluation to better cater for people experiencing housing instability and poverty.

Abstract In recent years, the demand and market for minimally processed fruits are increasing worldwide. Fresh‐cut apples are extremely sensitive to environmental factors including oxygen, temperature, and microorganisms in resulting the browning of apples. Therefore, in this study, different concentration of blended edible‐coating solution was prepared using Aloe vera and carboxymethyl cellulose (1:1, 1:2, 2:1, 3:3, 3:2, 4:2, 2:4, 3:4, and 4:3, respectively). Lease particle size (101.74 ± 0.67 nm) of the coating solution was observed with 3% A. vera and 2% carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). Afterward, the shelf life of the apples was evaluated for 10 days at refrigeration condition. Results showed that a significant difference was found in weight loss of coated (6.42%–10.26%) and uncoated apples (8.12%–15.32%) for 2–10 days. Moreover, the titrable acidity of the cut apples increased during the storage time. Rheological data emerged that the viscosity of the coating solution decreases with the increasing temperature from 0 to 50°C. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy data confirmed the presence of hydroxyl group (–OH), C=O, C–O, and N–H banding in the A. vera, CMC, and blend‐coating solution. The blend solution indicated excellent antimicrobial efficiency. Total phenolic content of coated and uncoated apples at 0 day was 737.55 mg GAE kg−1 for uncoated and 717.88 mg GAE kg−1, respectively. Whereas, aerobic and psychrotrophic bacteria counts for edible coated apples significantly lower than control apples. For coated apples, aerobic and psychrotrophic bacteria counts were 1.59 ± 0.84 and 1.25 ± 0.49 log CFU g−1 were 4.26 ± 0.67 and 2.68 ± 0.22 log CFU g−1 at 10th day, respectively. Overall, it can be inferred that blend of A. vera and carboxymethyl cellulose could be used as a nontoxic potential anti‐browning and antimicrobial component for the enhancement of the shelf life and additional nutritional value of fresh‐cut apples.

Self-referential, meta or self-aware advertising uses irony and cynicism to overtly critique and challenge conventional advertising strategies. While increasingly multiple brands are using self-referential advertising campaigns to implement innovative advertising strategies, a limited amount of research has been conducted on the effects of self-referential advertising on consumers’ evaluative responses. This study aimed to identify a link between self-referential ads and the consumers’ sense of self-presentation, mainly the conflict between the ideal self and the real self, and how this, in turn, affects their attitude toward the brand in the subject, further affecting purchase intention and brand perception. A quantitative structured study was conducted in a group of 326 18–35-year-old people, comprising Millennial and Generation Z consumers, using voluntary sampling through links to Google Forms distributed online on various platforms. Findings showed a significant positive correlation between self-referential ads, brand perception, and consumers’ brand attitude (r = 0.777, 0.712). Besides, in the mediation analysis, each of the four regression models establishes a correlation among the three variables. However, significance is not found in the mediating role of consumers’ real selves between self-referential advertising and brand attitude, though consumption patterns mediate consumer acceptance of self-referential advertising. The findings gave product/brand managers and marketing professionals a strategic direction on the importance of using self-referential forms of advertising in congruence with the product life cycle and brand positioning. It also helps to understand the importance of consumption patterns in creating advertising appeals.
