- Abstract
In this third part of the atlas of alien plants of Madrid, the orders Ranunculales, Proteales, Buxales, Saxifragales, Vitales, Zygophyllales, Fabales and Rosales have been included. Taxa introduced outside urban areas, naturalised or not, and those naturalised in urban areas are considered. Ninety taxa with certain or probable presence are analysed, and 22 others of doubtful presence or status are discussed. Of the taxa analysed, 82 are alien in Madrid (48 naturalised and 34 without evidence of being so, although 7 of them naturalised in nearby localities) and 8 in nearby localities (7 naturalised and 1 without evidence of being so). Half of the species are rare, and another 20% are scarce. Three species are abundant, with expanding populations, Gleditsia triacanthos, Robinia pseudoacacia and Ulmus pumila, the latter with invasive behaviour. Four cultivated archaeophytes, Vitis vinifera, Medicago sativa, Prunus amygdalus and Ficus carica, are widely naturalized, although without an expansive tendency. Four other species appear scattered, without being abundant but seem to be expanding: Papaver somniferum subsp. somniferum, Berberis aquifolium, Spartium junceum and Prunus cerasifera var. atropurpurea. Another 16 species appear scattered throughout the region, occasionally naturalized, but with no apparent expansive trend., En esta tercera parte del atlas de flora alóctona de Madrid, se incluyen los órdenes Ranunculales, Proteales, Buxales, Saxifragales, Vitales, Zygophyllales, Fabales y Rosales. - Abstract
This graduation thesis starts from the topic of collective living as a common thread from the beginning to the end. This motivation arises from the knowledge of the lack of affordable housing in the Vallvidrera neighborhood in Barcelona, and from the detection of opportunity in a particular building: Casa Buenos Aires. The aim of the thesis is to generate an own methodology based on a theoretical basis that can serve as a model for implementation in future projects with similar characteristics. Firstly, this theoretical basis has been developed on the history of collective living and its components, starting from different bibliographical and architectural references, both contemporary and historical. In the second part of the thesis, the methodology based on the theoretical base already elaborated is developed. This section is of great relevance since it is where the author contributes with her own point of view, generating graphic documentation to accompany the ideas presented. Finally, the thesis ends with a section of conclusions, where the author gives her own opinion and assessment and shows her personal position regarding the topic of the analysis.

Aim: The opinion of hemodialysis patients, professionals and family members is rarely considered in the design of a hemodialysis unit.Purpose: To know and compare the opinion and preferences of patients, family members and professionals regarding the design of a dialysis unit and the potential activities they believe should be carried out during the session in order to provide architects with real information for the construction of a dialysis center.Patients and Methods: Anonymous and voluntary survey in electronic format addressed to patients, relatives and professionals belonging to the 18 hemodialysis centers of the renal foundation and to ALCER and its different delegations, in relation to leisure activities to be carried out in the dialysis center and preferred design of the treatment room. The results obtained between the patient-family group and the professionals were compared. Results: We received 331 responses, of which 215 were from patients and family members (65%) and 116 (35%) from professionals. The most represented category among professionals was nursing (53%), followed by assistants (24%) and physicians (12.9%). A higher proportion of patients (66%) preferred rooms in groups of 10– 12 patients as opposed to professionals who preferred open-plan rooms (p< 0.001). The options that showed the most differences between patients and professionals were chatting with colleagues and intimacy (options most voted by patients/families), versus performing group activities and visibility (professionals). Conclusion: The professionals' view of patients' needs does not always coincide with the patients' perception. The inclusion of the perspective of people with kidney disease continues to be a pending issue in which we must improve both patient organizations and professionals, and the opinion of professionals and patients must be included in the design of a dialysis unit and the activities to be developed in it.Plain Language Summary: People with kidney disease on hemodialysis spend 4 hours of their lives three times a week in hemodialysis units. Although the new concept of 21st century medicine gives special prominence to the opinion of patients and family members, the reality is that this is rarely considered when establishing the requirements that a dialysis center should meet. The aim of this study is to know and compare the opinion and preferences of patients, family members and professionals regarding the design of a dialysis unit and the potential activities they believe should be carried out during the session in order to provide architects with real information for the construction of a dialysis center. This is the first survey in Spain that attempts to approach both the opinions of the patients and the professionals working in the units. The professionals' view of patients' needs does not always coincide with the patients' perception. The inclusion of the perspective of people with kidney disease continues to be a pending issue in which should be improve both patient organizations and professionals, and the opinion of professionals and patients should be included in the design of a dialysis unit and the activities to be developed in it. Background: The impact of the pediatric inflammatory multisystem syndrome temporally associated with SARS‐CoV‐2 (PIMS‐TS) in low‐ and middle‐income countries remains poorly understood. Our aim was to understand the characteristics and outcomes of PIMS‐TS in Argentina. Methods: This observational, prospective, and retrospective multicenter study enrolled patients younger than 18 years‐old manifesting PIMS‐TS, Kawasaki disease (KD) or Kawasaki shock syndrome (KSS) between March 2020 and May 2021. Patients were followed‐up until hospital discharge or death (one case). The primary outcome was pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) admission. Multiple logistic regression was used to identify variables predicting PICU admission. Results: Eighty‐one percent, 82%, and 14% of the 176 enrolled patients fulfilled the suspect case criteria for PIMS‐TS, KD, and KSS, respectively. Temporal association with SARS‐CoV‐2 was confirmed in 85% of the patients and 38% were admitted to the PICU. The more common clinical manifestations were fever, abdominal pain, rash, and conjunctival injection. Lymphopenia was more common among PICU‐admitted patients (87% vs. 51%, p < 0.0001), who also showed a lower platelet count and higher plasmatic levels of inflammatory and cardiac markers. Mitral valve insufficiency, left ventricular wall motion alterations, pericardial effusion, and coronary artery alterations were observed in 30%, 30%, 19.8%, and 18.6% of the patients, respectively. Days to initiation of treatment, rash, lymphopenia, and low platelet count were significant independent contributions to PICU admission. Conclusion: Rates of severe outcomes of PIMS‐TS in the present study agreed with those observed in high‐income countries. Together with other published studies, this work helps clinicians to better understand this novel clinical entity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract

[EN] Objective: Our aim was to review the efficacy of cognitive interventions in people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or Alzheimer disease (AD) through information and communications technologies (ICTs) implementation. Method: A Searching is performed in specialized databases PsycInfo and Medline Advanced 1966. The selected studies were conducted with elderly participants diagnosed with MCI or AD, and implemented cognitive stimulation, rehabilitation or training by ICTs, either alone or combined with other intervention strategies. Additionally, they must examine the intervention effectiveness. Computer or computerized, cognitive training, rehabilitation or stimulation, and mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer, were the searching terms employed. Results: A total of 25 articles were identified and 13 of them were selected after inclusion/exclusion criteria were assessed. High heterogeneity were observed across studies. Most of them reported positive effects of cognitive training programs using ICTs. Conclusions: Available research is limited and hardly comparable. Studies of cognitive training more standardized and uniform are needed, in terms of domains worked and features of training sessions. There are not enough studies that monitor the maintenance of the observed gains and discuss its generalization and transfer.
