Ten shrikhand samples collected from the markets of Akola and Amravati and prepared in the laboratory were stored at room temperature (30 ± 20°C) and at refrigeration temperature (5±10°C). The samples stored at room temperature were analysed daily till they got spoiled i.e. for five days, while the refrigeration samples were analysed at an interval of seven days till they got spoiled i.e. thirty five days, for the determination of content of reducing and non-reducing sugar. Fresh shrikhand was having 2.96% reducing sugar which increased to 3.39% during five days of storage and finally reached to 4.70% in 35 days of storage. There was decrease in non reducing sugar from 48.41 to 48.05 in first 5 days and thereafter to 40.80% in 35 days. Thus from the above study it was concluded that with the decrease in non-reducing sugar, there was proportionate increase in reducing sugar during storage for longer period was found. Background: Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs), particularly semaglutide, have become the leading anti-obesity drugs for adults, and a similar trend may follow in adolescents with its recent approval for this age group. However, there is a lack of comparative analysis on the weight loss effects and safety of GLP-1 RAs in obese or overweight pediatric and adolescent populations, especially those who are non-diabetic. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to provide current evidence on the efficacy and safety of GLP-1 RAs as an anti-obesity treatment in obese or overweight non-diabetic pediatric and adolescent populations., Method:  We searched electronic databases from inception until January 2024 for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that analyzed the weight loss effect of GLP-1 receptor agonists in adolescents with obesity or overweight without diabetes mellitus. Search results were screened, and eligible studies were included to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis using the Review Manager (RevMan) computer program Version 5.4.1 (The Cochrane Collaboration, 2020) with a random-effects model. The primary efficacy outcomes were changes in body weight, BMI, and BMI Z-score, while the secondary outcomes were the incidence of gastrointestinal adverse events, treatment discontinuation rate due to adverse events, and incidence of serious adverse events. The mean difference, odds ratio, and 95% confidence interval (CI) were used to present the meta-analysis results. Publication bias was visualized using a funnel plot. The quality of the studies was analyzed using Cochrane's Risk of Bias tool (RoB2)., Results: A total of seven RCTs with 576 adolescent participants were included in the analysis. GLP-1 RAs significantly achieved greater weight loss than placebo, with a mean difference of -4.98 kg (-8.49, -1.46), I² = 99%, p = 0.006. Subgroup analysis showed that semaglutide had the most pronounced anti-obesity effect (mean difference of -17.70 kg (-18.89, -16.51), p < 0.00001), compared to liraglutide (mean difference of -2.26 kg (-5.17, 0.65), I² = 99%, p = 0.13) and exenatide (mean difference of -3.17 kg (-4.45, -1.90), I² = 0%, p < 0.0001). Similar results were obtained for other efficacy parameters such as BMI and BMI z-score. However, GLP-1 RA was associated with more gastrointestinal adverse events (such as nausea and vomiting) than placebo (3.06 (2.12, 4.42), I² = 0%, p < 0.00001), with incidence comparable among all GLP-1 RAs in the subgroup analysis. In order to prepare composite restorations without the requirement for tooth preparation, the injectable composite resin technique uses a clear silicone index in a minimally invasive direct approach to imitate a diagnostic wax-up. This case report features a 34-year-old female patient having aesthetic and functional concerns, notably spacing between the teeth, insufficient tooth visibility, and diastema in the upper anterior region. Upon clinical examination, spacing and midline diastema were observed. The maxillary incisors and canines were to have composite veneers made as part of the treatment plan. A wax-up and transparent silicone index was prepared following the assessment of a try-in of the prepared mock-up. Subsequenty, for restoring the teeth, a clear silicone index was used to inject and polymerize the flowable composite. The desired outcomes included elongated teeth to enhance visibility, closure of diastemas, and reshaping of the canines. Over a 12-month follow-up period, the patient exhibited no signs of soft tissue inflammation or significant wear. The described technique is characterized by its minimal invasiveness, cost-effectiveness, and suitability for definitive and provisional restorations. Dental trauma is one of the most prevalent problems encountered in clinical practice. Traumatic injuries involving fractures of the anterior tooth are one of the most common problems among children and adolescents. Background The aim was to evaluate and compare the efficacy of TheraCal LC, mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), and Biodentine as direct pulp capping (DPC) materials in patients with pulpal exposure in the posterior teeth. Methodology A total of 54 samples were assessed for eligibility. Out of this, 12 teeth samples failed to meet the inclusion criteria. Finally, 42 teeth samples were selected which were randomly distributed into three groups (n = 14). Groups A, B, and C received the intervention of MTA, Biodentine, and TheraCal LC, respectively. The assessment was performed clinically to check for postoperative pain, tenderness, and neural sensibility, and the radiographs were used to check the presence of periodontal ligament (PDL) space widening, calcified barrier, and periapical radiolucency at the follow-up of 21 days, three months, and 12 months. The outcomes depended on the clinical and radiographic success rates recorded at 12 months of recall. Results Overall successful outcome of DPC clinically at different periods was 97.61% at three months and 88.09% at 12 months. A Chi-square test was used which showed that the difference was statistically nonsignificant. For groups A, B, and C, the success rate at follow-up came out to be 85.71%, 100%, and 78.57% at 12 months, respectively. The overall radiographic success rate of DPC at different time periods was 83.33% at three months and 88.09% at 12 months. Fluoride has performed a central role in the growth over the last fifty years. This report examines the present state of knowledge about fluoride's involvement in preventing dental caries. In recent years, our knowledge of the development of dental caries and the manner of operation of fluoride has been shifted. Dental caries is a constant procedure for enamel demineralization and remineralization, and fluoride plays an important part in this action by acting at the plaque-enamel contact. Background : Endodontic success depends on the complete cleaning and shaping of the root canal. In order to achieve this goal, debris removal is essential. Even with improvements in instrument design, apical debris extrusion continues to be a cause of periradicular inflammation. The current study aimed to compare the amount of apically extruded debris throughout the canal instrumentation with TruNatomy, ProTaper Next, 2Shape rotary systems. Methods : A total of 60 freshly extracted single‑rooted mandibular premolars were used. An access opening was made, and a working length was estimated. The samples were arbitrarily allocated into three groups i.e. Group I: TruNatomy (n = 20), Group II: ProTaper Next (n = 20), Group III: 2Shape (n = 20). During the canal instrumentation, the extruded debris were collected in preweighed Eppendorf tubes. Post-instrumentation, the tubes were placed in a hot air oven at 140°C for five hours. For calculating the dry debris weight, the tube's pre-instrumentation weight was deducted from the post-instrumentation weight. The data was analysed using one‑way analysis of variance and post hoc Tukey's test. Results : Extrusion of debris was noted in all the specimens. TruNatomy rotary system showed least debris extrusion in comparison to ProTaper Next and 2Shape (P < 0.05). However, the results were statistically non-significant between ProTaper Next and 2Shape (P > 0.05). In the field of restorative dentistry, composite resins have emerged as the most utilized materials. They revolutionized the cosmetic approach to anterior tooth treatment since their introduction to dental practice. In cases where one or more of the tooth's walls are absent, matrices are employed to assist in the creation of the proper anatomic contour and proximal contacts without the occurrence of gingival overhangs. Matrices come in a variety of designs suitable for various therapeutic conditions. Depending on the level of tooth destruction, they might range from a simple metal or plastic strip to a circumferential ring of metal surrounding the entire crown. Although the handling characteristics of modern composites have significantly improved, dentists still encounter challenges with the development of good interproximal contact and proper anatomical contour. Introduction The present study aimed to clinically compare the incidence of postoperative pain after the endodontic treatment of posterior teeth using the WaveOne Gold (WOG) and TruNatomy (Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland) filing systems. The study gives a better understanding of the association of postoperative pain and filing systems used. The patients were selected in such a manner that they have a similar diagnosis before the initiation of treatment. It also helps to understand if the postoperative pain is dependent or independent of the filing system used. Methods In the study, 32 vital teeth with irreversible pulpitis with no periapical lesion were selected for the study. The patients were divided into two groups (n=16) according to the instrumentation system used (WaveOne Gold group and TruNatomy group). The treatments were performed in a single session. The participants were asked to rate the intensity of postoperative pain on a visual analog scale (VAS) (no pain, mild pain, moderate pain, and severe pain) after 24 hours, 72 hours, and seven days; the tests of significance used are Friedman test or Mann-Whitney test. Results The incidence of postoperative pain is comparatively less in WaveOne Gold group after 24 and 72 hours compared with those in the TruNatomy group. No postoperative pain is experienced after seven days by the participants of both groups. The commercially available protein-digesting enzyme bromelain is derived from the pineapple fruit or stem. Bromelain from fruit and stems are produced in different ways and has varied enzyme compositions. "Bromelain" often refers to the "stem bromelain". Bromelain is a combination of several thiol endopeptidases and others including various protease inhibitors, glucosidase, cellulase, phosphatase, peroxidase, and escharase. Studies conducted in both the lab and on animals show that bromelain has a variety of fibrinolytic, anti-edematous, antithrombotic, and anti-inflammatory effects. The body can absorb bromelain to a significant extent without it ceasing its proteolytic activity or having any negative side effects. Numerous therapeutic advantages of bromelain include wound debridement, improved drug absorption, and the management of sinusitis, bronchitis, angina pectoris, surgical trauma, and thrombophlebitis. Resin composite pre-heating is a novel approach that might improve handling and marginal adaptation of the unset material paste in clinical application. The goal of this review article is to compile all laboratory experiments on resin composite preheating and see how it impacts the mechanical properties of the material. Objective: The objective is to evaluate the efficacy of different desensitizing agents in the reduction of postoperative sensitivity after composite restoration., Materials and Methods: Class I cavities were prepared in 39 patients by the same operator. The patients included in the study were between 20 and 45 years with vital pulp and a remaining dentin thickness of 1mm. Previously restored, nonvital and tooth with periodical changes were excluded. Patients were randomly assigned into three groups of 13 each - Group I (Control); Group II (Gluma desensitizer) and Group III (shield active desensitizer [SAD]). After the surface treatment, the teeth were restored with composite. The patients were assessed for postoperative sensitivity at 24 hours and one week with a visual analog scale (VAS)., Statistical Analysis: Data were analyzed using SPSS v23 software.
