Abstract

Uporaba daljinsko vodenih zrakoplovov in sistemov omogoča izdelavo podlag za kakovostno lokalno prostorsko planiranje. To pomeni, da je njihova uporaba primerna tudi za analizo arheoloških območij. S kombiniranjem zelo visokoločljivih bližnjeslikovnih aerofotografij in GNSS meritev lahko izdelamo digitalni model površja in reliefa ter barvni ortofoto. V primeru kombiniranja barvnih fotografij in infrardečih slikovnih elementov lahko izdelamo bližnji infrardeči ortofoto. Za razliko od letalskih aerofotografij lahko s pomočjo daljinsko vodenih sistemov izdelamo bližnji infrardeči ortofoto in digitalne modele višin s centimetrsko ločljivostjo. Ti izdelki so primerni za geoinformacijsko obdelavo in pridobivanje različnih indeksov pokrovnosti. Vegetacijski indeksi (kot npr. MSAVI2) nam lahko opišejo tako površje kot podzemlje območja. Fotointerpretacija izdelkov obdelave digitalnih modelov višin je bistvenega pomena pri neinvazivnih arheoloških raziskavah. Idealne podlage za arheološko interpretacijo površja so izdelki, temelječi na razpršenih virih svetlobe in v delu smo opisali nekatere od njih. Delo sloni na načrtovanju preleta na študijskem območju, izdelavi zelo visokoločljivega digitalnega modela površja, izdelavi barvnega in bližnje infrardečega ortofota ter izdelavi kartografskih podlag za arheološke namene. Rezultati so opisani kvantitativno in kvalitativno. Študija se je izvajala na območju arheološkega parka Turris Libisonis v mestu Porto Torres (Sardinija, Italija) v kontekstu praktičnega usposabljanja študenta v laboratoriju proSIT (ita. Progetto Sistemi Informativi Territoriali) Fakultete za arhitekturo in urbanizem Univerze v Sassariju. The usage of unmanned systems enables the creation of products that can contribute to better local spatial planning. This means that their usage is also suitable for the analysis of archaeological sites. By combining very high-resolution, close-range aerial photos and GNSS measurements, it is possible to produce digital surface and terrain models and orthophotos. By combining RGB photos and nearinfrared imagery, one can create a near-infrared orthophoto. In contrast with aerial imagery, unmanned aerial vehicles can produce near-infrared imagery and digital elevation models that access centimetrallevel resolutions. These products are suitable for geoinformation processing and the calculations of different indices of coverage. Vegetation indices (such as MSAVI2) can describe both the surface and the subsurface of an area of interest. Photointerpretation of data derived from digital elevation models is essential in non-invasive archaeological research. Ideal basemaps for archaeological interpretations of the surface are products based on diffused sources of light, and we have described some of them in our thesis. Our thesis is based on flight planning in the study area, the production of a very highresolution digital surface model, the production of color and near-infrared orthophotos, and the production of cartographic basemaps for archaeological purposes. The results will be described quantitatively and qualitatively. The study is carried out in the area of Turris Libisonis archaeological park in Porto Torres (Sardinia, Italy), in the context of students’ practical training in the proSIT laboratory (it. Progetto Sistemi Informativi Territoriali) of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Sassari.

10. Določitev sončnega obsevanja urbanih območij s pomočjo odprtokodnega GIS modela - aplikacija na primeru Rožne doline v Ljubljani

Abstract

The determination of solar irradiation is crucial when planning the installation of solar systems. There are different GIS models for determining solar irradiation, which differ from each other in terms of input data, hardware requirements, performance, reliability and suitability, depending on the specificity of the study area and the nature of the study. Because of their diversity, urban areas pose a greater challenge for the estimation of the potential of the received solar energy. In the article we present a methodology for determining the irradiation of roofs in urban areas using the GRASS GIS model r.sun, which executes the computation with high resolution spatial, atmospheric and meteorological data. The used input data is freely available for the entire territory of Slovenia. The proposed methodological approach was tested on the area of the town quarter Rožna dolina in Ljubljana city with the northern part of Vič. The area is very diverse according to the typology of the built objects, the land cover and altitude. differences. Določanje sončnega obsevanja je ključno za načrtovanje solarnih sistemov. Obstajajo različni GIS modeli za določitev sončnega obsevanja, ki se medsebojno razlikujejo po vhodnih podatkih, strojnih zahtevah, zanesljivosti in primernosti glede na posebnosti obravnavanega območja in narave študije. Urbana območja zaradi razgibanosti in raznolikosti predstavljajo večji izziv pri množičnem vrednotenju potenciala prejete sončne energije. V članku je predstavljena metodologija za določitev obsevanja streh urbanih območij s pomočjo GRASS GIS modela r.sun, ki ponuja izračun na podlagi visoko ločljivih prostorskih, atmosferičnih in meteoroloških podatkov. Uporabljeni vhodni podatki so prosto dostopni za celotno območje Slovenije. Predlagan metodološki pristop smo preizkusili na območju mestne četrti Rožna dolina s severnim delom Viča v Ljubljani. Območje je namreč zelo pestro po tipologiji zgrajenih objektov, pokrovnosti tal in višinskih razlikah.

Abstract

A strong windthrow affected many forests in Slovenia and northern Italy on the night of the 29th and the 30th of October, 2018. In this paper, we propose a new methodology for windthrow identification, comprising two new indexes, PCA-CI for evaluating change detection and PCA-WI for the identification of windthrows by analysing the time series of C-SAR Sentinel-1 data. The proposed methodology, unlike the previous studies on the identification of windthrows, does not subtract the values of dual and single polarised VH-VV data combinations, but proposes a new approach with a multivariate transformation of dimensionality reduction of the time series of the dual and single polarised data in two different time frames. Abstract

Strojna in programska oprema sta temeljni orodji za izvajanje različnih del na vseh področjih inženirstva. Tehnologije, ki jih lahko srečamo na trgu, danes še posebej ponujajo veliko več kot so včasih. Ko govorimo o komercialni tehnologiji GIS in inženirski strojni opremi, govorimo o zelo dragih izdelkih, ki ponujajo odličen zagon in podporo vsakemu podjetju, ki jih zna uporabljati. Poleg komercialnih izdelkov obstaja širok spekter odprtokodnih rešitev, ki ponujajo enako dobre usluge in zadostujejo strokovni uporabi. Enako kot za programska orodja velja za proste in odprtokodne operacijske sisteme primer so sistemi iz družine Linux. V diplomski nalogi smo preizkusili izvajanje prostorskih analiz v popolnoma odprtokodnem okolju, z vidika algoritemske vsebine, ki smo jo izvajali v programskem jeziku Python. Le-ta je danes standardni skriptni jezik za GIS-namene in za izdelavo vtičnikov v programih, kot so ArcGIS (ESRI, Arcpy) in QGIS. Enotnost programskega jezika ponuja povezavo med različnimi programskimi orodji, kot tudi med različnimi sistemskimi platformami. Zato je izmenjava skript in vtičnikov popolnoma skladna tudi v primeru, ko se pogovarjamo o prehodu in uporabi enake skripte med različnimi operacijskimi sistemi ali med različnimi GISorodji. Enostavnost jezika inženirjem ponuja osredotočenje na reševanje inženirskih problemov, brez prekomernega ukvarjanja s samim postopkom programiranja. Le-tega zahtevajo bolj kompleksni programski jeziki, kot sta C++ in Java. V delu smo opisali postopek od začetne namestitve operacijskega sistema Linux Mint do namestitve razvojnih okolij Python ter njihove uporabe. Izbrane skripte za izvedbo prostorskih analiz smo preizkusili v različnih operacijskih sistemih (v Linux Mint 17 Qiana ter v operacijskem sistemu Windows 8.1), rezultate pa smo ovrednotili kvalitativno in kvantitativno. Hardware and software represent basic tools for performance of various tasks in all fields of engineering. This is particularly true today, as available technologies offer considerably more than they used to in the past. The GIS technology and engineering software namely, represent particularly expensive products, which offer an excellent start-up and support for any company knowledgeable in their use. In addition to commercial products, there is also a wide spectrum of open source solutions, which offer same quality of service and meet the professional standards of use. The situation is similar when it comes to free and open source operating systems, the Linux family systems for example. Performance of spatial analysis in a fully open source system is tested in the thesis from the point of view of algorithm content, which was carried out in Python programming language. Python has become the standard scripting language for the requirements of GIS and for designing plug-ins in programmes such as ArcGIS (ESRI, Arcpy) and QGIS. Programming language uniformity provides the link among various programming tools as well as among various system platforms. The exchange of scripts and plug-ins is thus completely compatible, including in the cases of transit and use of the same script among different operating systems and among various GIS tools. The simplicity of language enables the engineers to focus on solutions of engineering tasks without having to spend too much time on the process of programming. Focus on programming is however required by more complex programming languages such as C++ and Java. The process from the initial installation the Linux Mint operating system until installation of Python development environments and their use is described in the thesis. The thesis provides tests of selected scripts for performing spatial analysis in various operating systems (in Linux Mint 17 Qiana and in Windows 8.1 operating systems) and gives qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the results.
