Collaborative Networked Organizations (CNOs) are increasingly common in current dynamic markets. The participants in a CNO try to achieve a common goal while acting on market opportunities. Information technology (IT) facilitates collaboration between participants within a CNO. In this paper, we show how CNOs cope with network-dynamics related to their IT-needs. Two sub-characteristics of network dynamics, respectively many-to-many relations and interaction patterns, will be investigated. In the end, we are trying to answer the question regarding what IT-needs CNOs have, to cope with CNO-dynamism. Based on a literature review we developed a framework on CNO-dynamism and executed a multi-case study within four CNOs. We conclude that all framework components are recognized within the CNOs. CNOs appeared to mainly cope with dynamics by using collaborative platforms, task management systems, and conference facilities.

Over the years, the importance and role of Big Data have grown considerably. Accountants’ work requires sound judgement and decision making, which makes their activities less conducive to automation. Nonetheless, it is useful for accountants to be at ease with the use of data analysis, especially when data are unstructured and relevant to decision making. This study aimed to visualize the research panorama on the theme “Big Data and accounting” to appreciate the current state of knowledge in this field. Bibliometric analysis was used to study literature on the topic of Big Data and accounting. The data were collected using the Scopus database to ascertain the authors, countries, keywords and journals that have contributed the most to this body of knowledge. VOSviewer software was used for data visualization. Through a visual analysis, the results reveal the current state of knowledge on the theme of Big Data and accounting, with significant implications for future works in this field. The findings also highlight the potential opportunities for future studies on this topic and on peripheral themes, El papel y la importancia del Big Data han aumentado considerablemente en los últimos años. El trabajo de los contables quiere juicios sensatos y capacidad de tomar decisiones, lo que hace sus actividades menos propicias a la automatización. Aun así, es útil para los contables entender los análisis de datos, especialmente cuando la información no está estructurada y es relevante para la toma de decisiones. El propósito de este estudio es visualizar el panorama de la investigación sobre el tema del “Big Data y la contabilidad” para apreciar el estado actual del conocimiento sobre este campo. Se han empleado análisis bibliométricos para estudiar la literatura sobre Big Data y contabilidad. Los datos han sido recogidos usando la base de datos Scopus para identificar los autores, países, palabras claves y publicaciones que más han contribuido al conjunto de conocimientos. Se ha usado el software VOSviewer para la visualización de la información. A través de un análisis visual, los resultados revelan el estado actual del conocimiento sobre el tema de Big Data y contabilidad, con implicaciones significativas para futuros trabajos en este campo. Los resultados también señalan las oportunidades potenciales para futuros estudios sobre este campo y temas periféricos.

International audience; The United Nations included sustainable cities and communities in its 2030 SDGs. Cities and, on a smaller scale, neighborhoods, building managers and firms are now adopting technologies and information systems to help achieve the energy, economic, social and environmental transition. This volume gathers contributions on the key organizational success factors for this transition.To do so, it analyzes the role of information systems, use of data, and technological assistance solutions from multiple perspectives. The goal is to develop a framework that can successfully apply information systems to organizational and environmental issues for smart cities and smart buildings. Accordingly, the book addresses living-lab experiment evaluation techniques, and provides critical analyses of the role of the environment, context and users’ behavioral responses.
