Ankle and foot orthotics are suggested for gait rehabilitation therapy after a stroke. Clinical practice necessitates adjusting the ankle foot orthosis torque to accommodate each patient's unique stride and body function. The objective of this paper is to develop a customized, cost-effective footplate orthosis from carbon fibers, manufactured using 3D printing, for individuals with partial foot amputations. The footplate is designed for use in developing nations and aimed to be made available with a reduced lead time. The experiment work carried out in this research is used to design, analyze, and validate a prosthetic footplate. A foot of size UK 7 with a 2 mm thick model of the human foot was modeled using Unigraphics-NX. The footplate's design is being tested both conceptually and empirically. The footplate manufactured by applying load at toe and heel shows that the carbon fiber successfully restores leg length and reduces pressure on the feet's delicate distal end. In comfort, air-conditioning control over the humidity is essential in applications such as pharmaceutical industries, electronic gadgets manufacturing units, the food sector, paper industries, etc. Relative humidity of nearly 50% can effectively prevent the growth and abidance of biological pollutants. There are several methods using which dehumidification can be achieved. The most common method is subcooling air up to the condensation temperature of the moisture trapped and then cooling again, and the condensate is collected. This method is time-consuming and needs to be more effective. On the other hand, desiccants' dehumidification process is suitable for maintaining humidity in air-conditioning systems and producing dry air. Desiccants with economical materials, high moisture removal rate, low regeneration temperature, and steadiness after many years make a desiccant system more successful in its performance and cost. The effect of change in process air temperature, process air humidity ratio, and regeneration temperature on the system's performance is studied. This research focuses on the functioning of various desiccant dehumidification systems and their applications. Small-scale Darrieus wind turbines have a wide scope in areas that are isolated from the power grid for such small-scale household applications. Applications of wind turbines on house roofs are one potential way to generate electricity from wind energy harvesting in low-wind urban locations. This work studies the aerodynamic behavior of a vertical axis wind turbine based on a MATLAB programming mathematical model. The NACA0021 airfoil profile blade was used in this present research investigation. The turbine was fabricated with dimensions such as chord length, c = 95 mm, blade height, h = 600 mm, and turbine diameter, D = 600 mm. The experimental results of the turbine for air velocity from 1 to 12 ms−1 were used in this paper and compared with analytical results. It has been observed that the fixed-pitch turbine does not start by itself at a low air velocity of 1 to 5 m/s due to a minimum and negative torque. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The increased use of fossil fuels in the industry has resulted in severe environmental issues, such as ozone depletion, air pollution, and climate change, among others. Due to diverse resources, such as biomass, solar radiation, and so on, approximately half of the energy produced worldwide is discarded as heat. Utilizing this waste energy as heat reduces fuel usage, reduces carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, and improves overall system performance. The Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is the most efficient and reliable method of converting waste heat from low and medium temperatures into usable power. Exergy refers to the maximum amount of work a system can perform in any state and any environment. Engineers are employing exergy analysis to optimize every system, according to recent research. It comprises assessing and improving system performance utilizing exergy basics, equation balance, and exergy efficiencies. It also facilitates identifying critical sources of exergy loss, which may subsequently be targeted for reduction. This study provides an overview of the exergetic assessment of vapor compression refrigeration systems (VCRS) utilizing ORC. The thermodynamic, environmental, and selection features of 29 different organic fluids, as well as their selection corresponding to the heat source temperatures, are all discussed in this article. The findings of this research include a comparison of these refrigerants under various operating conditions. The primary purpose of this research is to provide a full ORC review for discarded heat retrieval from a refrigeration system, which includes benchmarks for working fluid selection and the impact of operating limits.
