This article substantiates the criteria for placing a current transformer in the stator wedges and obtaining an output voltage that can be used to control and regulate the reactive power of asynchronous motors. As a result of the passage of current through the stator windings in a sensitive element located in the wedges, an output signal is obtained; this output signal is generated in the form of voltage due to magnetic currents that determine the reactive power of an asynchronous motor. The use of this signal in monitoring and regulating reactive power leads to increased accuracy, saving energy and resources. Research has shown that the output voltage of the current converter is linearly related to the change in the stator current of an asynchronous motor, and the results obtained in practice are adequate to theoretical calculations.
