Abstract

The production properties ofKs0, " andK+p interactions at 32 GeV/c are investigated using the final statistics of the experiment. We present total and semi-inclusive cross sections and aver-age multiplicities. Estimates are given of the diffractive dissociation contributions to total and differential cross sections. Thex-,pT-, and transverse mass dependence of inclusive and semi-inclusive distributions is discussed as well as properties of “prompt”Ks0's. The ratio of “prompt”K890+ (K8900) to “prompt”K0 cross sections is measured to be 1.03±0.12 (0.98±0.17). From a comparison of " production inK±p interactions at 32 GeV/c, we estimate a strange sea-quark suppression of 0.26 ±0.02. The double differential cross sections ofKs0's is studied as a function of Feynman-x andpT2, and a Triple-Regge fit performed. The data are compared in detail to versions of the Lund-model for low-pT hadronic collisions.

Abstract

Results are reported on a study of events with high-pT inK+p collisions at centre of mass energy of 11.5 GeV/c. Interesting similarities with ISR results are observed both in charge and rapidity correlations among particles with apT>1 GeV/c trigger. Properties of high-pT jet fragmentation are found to be similar to the ones observed at the ISR and ine+e- annihilation.

Abstract

Energy, charge and strangeness flow inK+p interactions at 32 and 70 GeV/c, and p+p interactions at 32 GeV/c are studied in terms of the angular variable ?=|x|/pT. The data ondQ/d? anddE/d? show only a weak indication of scale breaking between 32 and 70 GeV/c. For inclusive “non-diffractive”, inclusive “diffractive” and exclusive “non-diffractive” jets, the fraction of charge in any angular region ?O away from the central region is found to be proportional to the energy fraction in the same interval. The data ondQ/dE versus ? are compatible with some versions of dual-sheet models and agree also with the LUND Monte-Carlo model. The data are also compared with " interactions in BEBC. In exclusive channels the average ratiodQ/dS=0.78±0.04 is consistent, in the framework of fragmentation models, with a larger probability for the fragmentation of the "-valence quark than theu-valence quark in theK+-meson.

Abstract

Exogenous risk factors of cardiovascular diseases and genetic burden of psychosomatic pathologies have been studied in practically healthy students with various physiological and psychological adaptation abilities for differential analysis of the risk for development of cardiological diseases. The complex of genetic burden of psychosomatic pathologies and exogenous risk factors was significantly more frequent in practically healthy students with strong profile of adaptation mechanisms, increased circadian profile, zero type and weak persistence of fixated set.

Abstract

Circadian heart rate variations, night sleep profile and structure during ECG Holter monitoring process have been studied in practically healthy students with various adaptation potential to estimate the role of the dynamics of these parameters for evaluation of functional condition of cardiovascular system and whole organism. Statistically significant differences have been revealed for the functionally distinguished groups for the following parameters: P average/day, Circadian Index, sleep profile and sleep duration. When the mechanisms of adaptation are very strained, P average/day is high and circadian profile is strengthened, which indicates to the increase of sympathetic influence on the heart rhythm in persons who have primary high level vagotonia. With increasing of the strength of the adaptation mechanisms the sleep duration (sleep profile as well) is reducing, which may be one of the causes of asthenization.

Abstract

The interaction of carbamazepine and chlorpromazine in rabbits has been studied. The drugs were administrated as single oral doses (200 mg of each drug). The sequence of administration of the drugs was varied. It has been established that by simultaneous administration these drugs decrease absorption of each other in plasma. This may be explained by competition of the drugs to transfer from the gastrointestinal tract into plasma, as well as by the formation of complexes, more or less stable and more or less bound to gastrointestinal tissues. Carbamazepine intensifies the biotransformation of chlorpromazine, which may be caused by the ability of carbamazepine to induce microsomal liver enzymes. Chlorpromazine suppresses the biotransformation of carbamazepine, however. This may be caused by intensive capture of chlorpromazine by liver tissues and by its intensive biotransformation, which in turn is conditioned by its surface-active nature and by the increase of its metabolism with carbamazepine. Therefore the biotransformation of chlorpromazine is increased and metabolism of carbamazepine is reduced.
