Health education is part of the professional activities of healthcare. Health education at the tertiary level differs from health education at the primary and secondary levels. Chronic patients - children and their parents/caregivers are a susceptible population and require even more careful treatment. A comprehensive approach is necessary, which is directed towards the entire family. The acquisition of knowledge must be systematic, pre-planned and also verified. It is appropriate to involve other professionals in the treatment, such as a: psychologist, social worker, community nurse, teachers in school, or educators in a childcare institution.

Zdravstvena vzgoja je del poklicnih aktivnosti zdravstvene nege. Zdravstvena vzgoja na terciarni ravni se razlikuje od zdravstvene vzgoje na primarni in sekundarni ravni. Kronični bolniki – otroci in njihovi starši/skrbniki so izjemno občutljiv del prebivalstva, zato potrebujejo skrbno obravnavo. Nujna je celostna obravnava, ki je usmerjena v celotno družino. Pridobivanje znanja mora biti sistematično, načrtovano vnaprej in tudi preverjano. V obravnavo vključimo tudi druge strokovnjake, npr. psihologa, socialnega delavca, patronažno medicinsko sestro, učitelje v šoli ali vzgojitelje v vzgojno-varstvenem zavodu.

Introduction: The purpose of the research was to analyze the treatment of children during the SARS CoV-2 epidemic in the red zone of of the Pediatric Clinic in Ljubljana. Methods: A quantitative, non-experimental type of research was used. All hospitalized children from October to March 2022 were included. Data were obtained using the Clinical information system. results: 203 children, (113 (55.7%) boys and 90 (44.3%) girls) were included. The majority were aged 6–12 years 58 (26.1%). Most SARS-CoV-2 positive children (93,6%) were hospitalized in the red zone of Admission and Triage Department red zone and 10 (6.4%) in the another departments. The majority were hematological oncology patients (22.7%), and the leastowest number of children was in the field of allergology, rheumatology and clinical immunology 3%. Thirty-nine (19.2%) children received Sotrovimab, 24 (11.8%) Regencov and Remdesevir 12 (5.90%). Discusion: During the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic, work at the Pediatric Clinic has fully adapted to ensure safe management of children despite the reduced scope of work. Treatment of children with cancer, newborns, and other children with serious acute or chronically ill children from all over Slovenia were treated without interruption in the red zone of the Pediatric clinic in Ljubljana.

Metode: Uporabili smo kvantitativno, neeksperimentalno metodo raziskave. Vključili smo vse hospitalizirane otroke od oktobra do marca 2022. Podatke smo pridobili iz informacijskega sistema Clinical. rezultati: Analizirali smo 203 otroke (113 (55,7 %) fantov in 90 (44,3 %) deklet). Največ je bilo šolskih otrok 58 (26,1 %), starih 6–12 let. Večina SARS-Cov-2 pozitivnih otrok (93,6 %) je bila sprejeta v rdečo cono, 10 (6,4 %) pa na druge oddelke v kliniki. Največ je bilo hematoonkoloških bolnikov (22,7 %), najmanj pa otrok z boleznimi s področja alergologije, revmatologije in klinične imunologije (3 %). Sotrovimab je prejelo 39 otrok (19,20 %), Regencov 24 (11,8 %) in Remdesevir 12 (5,90 %) otrok. Zaključek: Med epidemijo SARS-CoV-2 smo na Pediatrični kliniki delo v celoti prilagodili, da bi bolnim otrokom zagotovili varno obravnavo tudi ob omejenem obsegu dela. V rdeči coni Pediatrične klinike je nemoteno potekalo zdravljenje otrok z rakom, novorojenčkov ter drugih težje kronično ali akutno bolnih otrok iz vse Slovenije z okužbo s SARS-Cov-2.

V zadnjih letih opažamo porast alergijskih bolezni, kar je ver-jetno posledica spremenjenega načina življenja in sprememb naravnega okolja. Po evropskih podatkih ima alergijsko bolezen že več kot 30 % ljudi. Največkrat se težave začnejo v zgodnjem otroštvu in v mladosti. Z leti se večina alergijskih bolezni ublaži ali celo izgine, nekatere pa lahko trajajo tudi do poznih let ali celo vse življenje. Kažejo se kot alergijski rinitis, astma, alergijski konjunktivitis, koprivnica, alergija na strup (pik) žuželk ter kot preobčutljivost na zdravila in hrano. Lahko se odrazijo tudi kot nevarna sistemska alergijska reakcija, tj. anafilaksija. Hkrati s pogostostjo alergij se uspešno razvija tudi klinična alergologija z modernimi metodami diagnosticiranja in zdravljenja. V obeh segmentih ima medicinska sestra (MS) pomembno vlogo v multidisciplinarnem timu. Aktivno je udeležena tako pri diagnosticiranju kot tudi zdravljenju alergij, v zadnjem času tudi na področju raziskovanja in uvajanja novosti pri obvladovanju alergijskih bolezni. Vlogo MS v alergologiji odraža kompleksnost oskrbe bolnika z alergijo, saj vključuje izvrševanje diagnostičnih postopkov in zdravljenja po naročilu zdravnika, zdravstvenovzgojno delo ter skrb za bolnika s kroničnimi alergijskimi težavami (rinitis, atopijski dermatitis) in akutnimi alergijskimi dogodki (anafilaksija).

In the last few years, there has been a significant increase in allergic conditions, probably due to changes in lifestyle and the natural environment. According to European data, over 30% of the population has allergies. These symptoms usually begin in early childhood and adolescence. Over the years, most allergies are alleviated or even disappear, but others last throughout adulthood or are lifelong. Allergy symptoms and signs present as allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis, asthma, urticaria, allergy to insect venom (bites) and food allergies and drug hypersensitivity. In addition, they can occur as severe systemic allergic reactions – anaphylaxis. Together with the increased frequency of allergies, clinical allergology has also successfully developed. Modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods are available. In both segments, the nurse plays a significant role as a member of a multidisciplinary team. The nurse is actively involved in allergy diagnostics and treatment, and recently in research and the implementation of innovations in the management of allergic disease. Nursing roles within allergology reflect the complex care of patients with allergic conditions. They include performing assigned diagnostic procedures and treatment, ordered by the doctor, patient health education, care of patients with chronic allergic conditions (rhinitis, atopic dermatitis) and acute difficulties (anaphylaxis).
