The title molecule, C21H20N2O2, exists in the solid state in the `extended' form. The crystal packing consists of ribbons of molecules extending parallel to c and associated via N—H...O and weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds. C—H...π interactions are also present.

The title compound, C21H21N3O2, adopts a J-shaped conformation which appears to be at least partially directed by a weak intramolecular C—H...N hydrogen bond. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H...O hydrogen bonds into R22(8) and R22(14) cyclic dimers, which form a chain running parallel to the b axis.

In the title compound, C10H9N5, the phenyl ring is twisted with respect to the pyrazole ring, forming a dihedral angle of 24.00 (6)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H...N hydrogen bonds into chains running parallel to [010] containing alternating R22(6) and R22(12) rings. Further interactions are found in the crystal, viz. N—H...π(phenyl) interactions and weak face-to-face π–π stacking interactions [centroid–centroid distance = 3.8890 (6) Å] between the centroids of the pyrazole and phenyl rings are observed.

The title compound, C15H13N5, crystallizes with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The molecular conformations are stabilized by C—H...N contacts forming S(6) ring motifs. In the crystal, pairs of molecules are connected into R22(12) dimers by N—H...N hydrogen bonds. C—H...π interactions and π–π stacking interactions [centroid–centroid distances = 3.6085 (8), 3.6657 (8), 3.4745 (8) and 3.5059 (8) Å] also also observed.

In the title compound, C13H12N4S, an amino N atom is connected to a 1,3-benzothiazole fused-ring system and a dimethyl-substituted pyrimidine ring, these components being aligned [interplanar dihedral angle = 1.9 (1)°]. The secondary amino N atom forms an intermolecular N—H...N hydrogen bond to an N atom of the fused ring of an adjacent molecule, generating a centrosymmetric cyclic hydrogen-bonded dimer [graph set R22(8)].

In the title compound, C8H9N4S−·C2H3O2−, the cation is essentially planar (r.m.s deviation = 0.037 Å) with the guanidine unit bent out of the plane of the fused-ring system by 4.6 (3)°. In the asymmetric unit, the cations and anions are linked into R22(8) motifs. In the crystal, further N—H...O and N—H...N hydrogen bonds link the components into a two-dimensional network.

The five-membered ring of the title compound, C17H15ClN2O, is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.008 Å), and its phenyl subsitutent is aligned at 34.9 (1)° with respect to this ring. The angle at the methylene C atom is opened to 116.4 (2)°. In the crystal, adjacent molecules are linked by an N—H...O hydrogen bond, generating a linear chain along the a axis.

2-Guanidinobenzimidazole condenses with benzaldehyde in the presence of hydrochloric acid to form 2-amino-3,4-dihydro-4-phenyl-1,3,5-triazino[1,2-a]benzimidazole, which was isolated as its hydrochloride, C15H14N5+·Cl−. The positive charge of the cation is formally placed on the double-bonded N atom of the dihydrotriazine ring. The six-membered dihydrotriazine that is fused with the benzimidazole ring system is relatively flat (r.m.s. deviation = 0.106 Å), with the methine C atom deviating most [0.164 (1) Å] from the mean-square plane. The phenyl ring connected to the methine C atom is disordered over two positions in a 0.558 (1):0.442 (1) ratio; the two orientations are aligned at 85.1 (1) and 89.6 (1)° with respect to the dihydrotriazine ring. In the crystal, adjacent cations and anions are linked by N—H...N and N—H...Cl hydrogen bonds, generating a double chain running along the b axis.

In the title comound, C8H8N4S, one of the two independent molecules is essentially planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.025 Å), while the other is slightly buckled (r.m.s. deviation = 0.131 Å) with the guanidine unit bent out of the plane of the fused-ring system by 16.8 (1)°. In the crystal, intermolecular N—H...N hydrogen bonds between the two independent molecules give rise to a hydrogen-bonded dimer. Addtional weak intermolecular N—H...N hydrogen bonds connect these dimers into chains along [010]. An intramolecular N—H...N hydrogen bond is also observed in each independent molecule.

In the title molecule, C14H15NO3, the ring system is essentially planar, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.003 Å. The atoms of the ethane-1,2-diol group were refined as disordered over two sets of sites in a ratio of 0.815 (3):0.185 (3). The molecular conformation is stabilized in part by an intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bond, which forms an S(6) ring. In the crystal, molecules are connected by N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional network parallel to (100). The network also features weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds. Weak C—H...π interactions also observed.

In the title compound, C21H21BrClNO4, the dihydropyridine ring adopts a flattened boat conformation. The 3-bromo-5-chloro-2-hydroxyphenyl ring forms a dihedral angles of 84.44 (7)° with the dihydropyridine mean plane. The molecular conformation is stabilized by an intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bond, with an S(8) ring motif. In the crystal, O—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules, forming a three-dimensional network.
