Bu çalışma dikalsiyum fosfat (DCP) ve monokalsiyum fosfatın (MCP) broylerde linear regresyon metoduyla presekal fosfor sindirile bilirliğini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Denemede toplam 360 adet bir günlük yaşta erkek broyler civciv (Ross 308) 21 günlük yaşa kadar standart ticari broyler başlangıç yemi (Metabolize olabilir enerji 3000 kcal/kg, ham protein %22, Ca %0,9 P %0,6) ile beslenmiştir. Broylerler 21 günlük yaşta her biri 6 tekerrürden oluşan ve her tekerrürde 12 civciv bulunan 5 deneme grubuna ayrılmıştır. Fosfor sindirile bilirliği belirlenecek DCP ve MCP bazal rasyona P düzeyini %0,075 ve %0,15 düzeylerinde artıracak oranda ilave edilmiştir. Markır olarak titanyum dioksit %0,5 düzeyinde kullanılmıştır. Denemenin 28. gününde fosfor sindirile bilirliğini belirlemek için bütün hayvanlardan ileum içeriği toplanmıştır. Linear regresyon metoduyla DCP ve MCP’nin presekal fosfor sindirile bilirlikleri sırasıyla %76,60 ve %85,83 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bu çalışma sonucunda broyler rasyonları formüle edilirken rasyon maliyetini ve çevre kirliliğini artırmadan, optimum fosfor düzeylerinin ayarlanması için fosfor kaynaklarının sindirile bilirliklerinin bilinmesinin önemi vurgulanmıştır., The aim of this study was to determine the prececal phosphorus (P) digestibility of dicalcium phosphate (DCP) and monocalcium phosphate (MCP) for broiler using the linear regression method. A total of 360-d-old male Ross 308 broilers were raised until 20 days of age with a standard commercial starter diet (metabolizable energy, 3000 kcal/kg, crude protein, 22%, Ca 0.9%, P 0.6%). On 21 days of age all birds were weighed and assigned to 5 experimental treatment groups with 6 replicate cages each consisted of 12 birds. Each P source was included at two levels (to achieve increments of 0.075% and 0.15%) to the basal diet. Titanium dioxide was included at 0.5% in all diets as indigestible marker. On day 28, all birds were sacrificed and ileal digesta were collected. The prececal P digestibility of DCP and MCP were calculated by the linear regression to be 76.60% and 85.83%, respectively. The present results suggest that the P digestibility of the P sources should be considered when formulating broiler diets to achieve optimum dietary P concentrations without increasing diet cost and environmental pollution from P excretion.

The aim of this study was conducted to determine the effects of sepiolite usage on pellet production parameters and pellet quality characteristics for dairy cattle concentrate feed under regular industrial conditions. In the experiment, 14 mt pellet feeds for control and two treatment groups with 7 batch each were produced in a commercial feed factory. Each batch was 2 mt. Control group feed produced contained 87.37% dry matter, 18.06% crude protein, 6.95% crude fibre and 5.34% ether extract. For the treatment groups, 1% and 1.5% sepiolite (Exal T) were used as top dressed in the mixer. Pelleting disc having 6.5 mm hole diameter was used in the factory. Layer hybrids are more superior in the egg yield than pure breeds. But this superiority causes some problems in the bones during the production period. There are a lot of differences among genotypes in the production period that have been examined extensively, however, the differences throughout incubation period aren’t known yet. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the differences in femur properties of pure breed and layer hybrid embryos during the incubation period. A total of 354 fresh hatching eggs were used from one hybrid (Lohman White) and two pure breeds (Denizli & Gerze). The eggs were incubated. Hatching eggs from each genotype at the beginning of embryonic days (E) 19 and E21 were examined. At these embryonic ages, 12 eggs were selected from each genotype. The eggs were opened and embryos were sacrificed by cervical dislocation. Both femurs were dissected from each embryo and then structure, mineral composition and mechanical properties of femur were determined. The genotype affected the length, width and Zn level in the femur of embryos. Weight, length, width, load of yield and ultimate, ash and all examined minerals increased with embryonic development. These results showed that some femur properties of embryos were influenced by the genotype and layer hybrid embryos are beginning to be advantageous in terms of Zn level in the femur at E21. This study leads to better understanding femur development during the incubation period in layer hybrid and pure breeds.
