We report observations of reconnection exhausts in the Heliospheric Current Sheet (HCS) during Parker Solar Probe Encounters 08 and 07, at 16 R s and 20 R s , respectively. Heliospheric current sheet (HCS) reconnection accelerated protons to almost twice the solar wind speed and increased the proton core energy by a factor of ∼3, due to the Alfvén speed being comparable to the solar wind flow speed at these near-Sun distances. Furthermore, protons were energized to super-thermal energies. During E08, energized protons were found to have leaked out of the exhaust along separatrix field lines, appearing as field-aligned energetic proton beams in a broad region outside the HCS. Concurrent dropouts of strahl electrons, indicating disconnection from the Sun, provide further evidence for the HCS being the source of the beams. Around the HCS in E07, there were also proton beams but without electron strahl dropouts, indicating that their origin was not the local HCS reconnection exhaust.

We describe an accurate and scalable method for face clustering. A group of faces is classified based on their prospective identities. The task is presented as a link prediction problem, where two faces are linked if they have the same identity. The fundamental premise is that the local context in the feature space surrounding an instance (facial) contains crucial knowledge about the interconnectedness of this occurrence with its neighbors. The key contribution of this work is at the beginning the face is detected using the computer vision-based detection algorithm and extracted the features using VGG16 the pre-trained model. By applying the Euclidian distance algorithm, the similarity score of the face is obtained. Finally, similar faces are clustered using unsupervised learning algorithms such as K-means and Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise(DBSCAN). Furthermore, these two clusters are compared and DBSCAN gives a better silhouette score for DBSCAN than the K-means score. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Cyberbullying is a major social problem that has been affecting people across the globe. With the rise of social media platforms, cyberbullying has become even more prevalent, making it necessary to develop tools that can effectivelydetect cyberbullying and prevent its negative impact on individuals and society. Cyberbullying victims are known to become dangerously afraid as a result, and they may even have suicide or violent retaliation ideas. They experience anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Because it occurs, "behind the scenes" and "24/7" cyberbullying is worse than physical bullying. Bullying tweets or comments persist for a long time and continue to affect the victim's mental health negatively. It resembles ragging in many ways, with the exception that it takes place in front of thousands of shared friends and that the wounds endure as long as the online messages do. The humiliating and upsetting text causes the victims unimaginable amounts of embarrassment. The effects are significant and even worse. Nine out of ten times, or in the majority of cases, teenage victims do not tell their guardians or parents out of embarrassment and go into despair or,in the worst circumstances, commit suicide. To precisely identify cyberbullying in tweets, we have applied several machines learning techniques, including multinomial NB, SVM, logistic regression, decision tree classifier, and SGD classifier. By utilizing these algorithms, we have been able to identify cyberbullying with a high degree of accuracy, allowing us to stop it in its tracks and lessen its damaging effects. Furthermore, we have also developed a web application that allows users to check whether a tweet is cyberbullying or not and it also tells which category the tweet falls under like religion, gender, ethnicity, and age. The web application provides a simple and user-friendly interface thatallows users to easily check whether their tweets are considered cyberbullying or not. Overall, this research paper presents a comprehensive approach to detecting cyberbullying on Twitter using machine learning techniques. Our results demonstrate the effectiveness of these techniques in detecting cyberbullying and highlight the potential of these techniques for preventing the negative impact of cyberbullying on individuals and society. - Abstract
BACKGROUND: Among patients having noncardiac surgery, perioperative hemodynamic abnormalities are associated with vascular complications. Uncertainty remains about what intraoperative blood pressure to target and how to manage long-term antihypertensive medications perioperatively. OBJECTIVE: To compare the effects of a hypotension-avoidance and a hypertension-avoidance strategy on major vascular complications after noncardiac surgery. DESIGN: Partial factorial randomized trial of 2 perioperative blood pressure management strategies (reported here) and tranexamic acid versus placebo. (ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT03505723). SETTING: 110 hospitals in 22 countries. PATIENTS: 7490 patients having noncardiac surgery who were at risk for vascular complications and were receiving 1 or more long-term antihypertensive medications. INTERVENTION: In the hypotension-avoidance strategy group, the intraoperative mean arterial pressure target was 80 mm Hg or greater; before and for 2 days after surgery, renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system inhibitors were withheld and the other long-term antihypertensive medications were administered only for systolic blood pressures 130 mm Hg or greater, following an algorithm. In the hypertension-avoidance strategy group, the intraoperative mean arterial pressure target was 60 mm Hg or greater; all antihypertensive medications were continued before and after surgery. MEASUREMENTS: The primary outcome was a composite of vascular death and nonfatal myocardial injury after noncardiac surgery, stroke, and cardiac arrest at 30 days. Outcome adjudicators were masked to treatment assignment. RESULTS: The primary outcome occurred in 520 of 3742 patients (13.9%) in the hypotension-avoidance group and in 524 of 3748 patients (14.0%) in the hypertension-avoidance group (hazard ratio, 0.99 [95% CI, 0.88 to 1.12]; P = 0.92). - Abstract
This workshop summary on natural language processing (NLP) markers for psychosis and other psychiatric disorders presents some of the clinical and research issues that NLP markers might address and some of the activities needed to move in that direction. We propose that the optimal development of NLP markers would occur in the context of research efforts to map out the underlying mechanisms of psychosis and other disorders. In this workshop, we identified some of the challenges to be addressed in developing and implementing NLP markers-based Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSSs) in psychiatric practice, especially with respect to psychosis. Of note, a CDSS is meant to enhance decision-making by clinicians by providing additional relevant information primarily through software (although CDSSs are not without risks). In psychiatry, a field that relies on subjective clinical ratings that condense rich temporal behavioral information, the inclusion of computational quantitative NLP markers can plausibly lead to operationalized decision models in place of idiosyncratic ones, although ethical issues must always be paramount., Ethics & Philosophy of Technology

Objectives: To measure the Peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR)of healthy school children and to find out the correlation between PEFR values and anthropometric parameters, to create a nomogram of PEFR for children and formulate a regression formula for PEFR. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on children between the age group of 8 years and 12years attending medical college hospital at Puducherry. After collecting baseline data, PEFR was measured using a mini Wright peak flow meter. The highest of three measurements were recorded for analysis. Results: Of the 1500 students screened, 1000 were included in the study. Out of which 655 were boys and 345 were girls. Significant linear correlation was seen in PEFR with height, weight, BMI and BSA (r = 0.991, r = 0.983, r = 0.775 & r = 0.987 respectively, p < 0.001). Nomograms were plotted based on the observed values of PEFR in the study population. Prediction equations were derived for PEFR for the following variants like age, height, weight, BMI, BSA, male and female are as follows PEFR = (AgeX25.667)-18.326, PEFR = (HtX4.104)-324.420, PEFR = (WtX6.883)+13.070, PEFR = (BMIX42.585)-496.875, PEFR = (BSAX287.029)-80.705, PEFR = (HtX4.094)-322.930 & PEFR = (HtX4.121)-326.935 respectively Conclusions: Significant correlation was noted between PEFR and anthropometric parameters like height, weight and BMI and BSA. e covered by this study are 800–4000 km s−1 and 0.001–0.1, respectively, and the observed heating ranges from a few hundred electronvolts to several kiloelectronvolts. We find that the temperature change in the reconnection exhaust relative to the inflow, Δ Te , is correlated with the inflow Alfvén speed, VAx,in , based on the reconnecting magnetic field and the inflow plasma density. Furthermore, Δ Te is linearly proportional to the inflowing magnetic energy per particle, m i V Ax , in 2 , and the best fit to the data produces the empirical relation Δ Te = 0.020 m i V Ax , in 2 , i.e., the electron temperature increase is on average ∼2% of the inflowing magnetic energy per particle. This magnetotail study extends a previous magnetopause reconnection study by two orders of magnitude in both magnetic energy and electron β, to a regime that is comparable to the solar corona. The validity of the empirical relation over such a large combined magnetopause–magnetotail plasma parameter range of VA ∼ 10–4000 km s−1 and βe ∼ 0.001–10 suggests that one can predict the magnitude of the bulk electron heating by reconnection in a variety of contexts from the simple knowledge of a single parameter: the Alfvén speed of the ambient plasma. The Lord has given life to other coughs called maya ganmam to remove the tools that are painful. The two types of yoga, the pure state of the original yoga, and the sukhumustate, are the means of forgetting oneself. It is summarized in the study that those who reach the lord and constantly worship him will attain one or the other stage of liberation.

Context: Zinc is a micronutrient which is required as a coenzyme for the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins. Zinc deficiency is more common in pregnancy especially in developing countries like India. Prevalence studies on zinc levels in pregnant women in south Indian population are scanty and needs to be evaluated. Aims: The aim of this study is to assess the serum zinc levels during pregnancy and its association with their dietary intake and demographic characteristics. Settings and Design: This cross sectional study was conducted in a tertiary care hospital in rural area of Chengalpettu District, Tamil Nadu. Materials and Methods: A total of 54 healthy pregnant women were included in the study population. Detailed obstetric history was obtained by using a proforma. Serum zinc levels was estimated by colorimetric method and their average daily dietary intake in terms of zinc was assessed by using a weekly standardized food frequency questionnaire. Statistical Analysis used: Statistical analysis was performed by using SPSS software. Results: Mean serum zinc levels were 112.35±121.21 mg/dL. Almost 37% of the study participants had zinc deficiency ( range of 0-2mg/day against the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) of 20mg/day which was 12.5% of the RDA. Conclusions: High prevalence of zinc deficiency is due to deficient dietary intake of zinc. Persons on vegetarian diet are more prone for zinc deficiency. Larger studies are required to understand the magnitude of zinc deficiency during pregnancy in India. Keywords: Zinc deficiency, Pregnancy, Dietary intake.

- Abstract
DIII-D physics research addresses critical challenges for the operation of ITER and the next generation of fusion energy devices. This is done through a focus on innovations to provide solutions for high performance long pulse operation, coupled with fundamental plasma physics understanding and model validation, to drive scenario development by integrating high performance core and boundary plasmas. Substantial increases in off-axis current drive efficiency from an innovative top launch system for EC power, and in pressure broadening for Alfven eigenmode control from a co-/counter-I p steerable off-axis neutral beam, all improve the prospects for optimization of future long pulse/steady state high performance tokamak operation. Fundamental studies into the modes that drive the evolution of the pedestal pressure profile and electron vs ion heat flux validate predictive models of pedestal recovery after ELMs. Understanding the physics mechanisms of ELM control and density pumpout by 3D magnetic perturbation fields leads to confident predictions for ITER and future devices. Validated modeling of high-Z shattered pellet injection for disruption mitigation, runaway electron dissipation, and techniques for disruption prediction and avoidance including machine learning, give confidence in handling disruptivity for future devices. For the non-nuclear phase of ITER, two actuators are identified to lower the L-H threshold power in hydrogen plasmas. With this physics understanding and suite of capabilities, a high poloidal beta optimized-core scenario with an internal transport barrier that projects nearly to Q = 10 in ITER at ∼8 MA was coupled to a detached divertor, and a near super H-mode optimized-pedestal scenario with co-I p beam injection was coupled to a radiative divertor. The hybrid core scenario was achieved directly, without the need for anomalous current diffusion, using off-axis current drive actuators. Also, a controller to assess proximity to stability limit

- Abstract
DIII-D physics research addresses critical challenges for the operation of ITER and the next generation of fusion energy devices. This is done through a focus on innovations to provide solutions for high performance long pulse operation, coupled with fundamental plasma physics understanding and model validation, to drive scenario development by integrating high performance core and boundary plasmas. Substantial increases in off-axis current drive efficiency from an innovative top launch system for EC power, and in pressure broadening for Alfven eigenmode control from a co-/counter-I (p) steerable off-axis neutral beam, all improve the prospects for optimization of future long pulse/steady state high performance tokamak operation. Fundamental studies into the modes that drive the evolution of the pedestal pressure profile and electron vs ion heat flux validate predictive models of pedestal recovery after ELMs. Understanding the physics mechanisms of ELM control and density pumpout by 3D magnetic perturbation fields leads to confident predictions for ITER and future devices. Validated modeling of high-Z shattered pellet injection for disruption mitigation, runaway electron dissipation, and techniques for disruption prediction and avoidance including machine learning, give confidence in handling disruptivity for future devices. For the non-nuclear phase of ITER, two actuators are identified to lower the L-H threshold power in hydrogen plasmas. With this physics understanding and suite of capabilities, a high poloidal beta optimized-core scenario with an internal transport barrier that projects nearly to Q = 10 in ITER at similar to 8 MA was coupled to a detached divertor, and a near super H-mode optimized-pedestal scenario with co-I (p) beam injection was coupled to a radiative divertor. - Abstract
DIII-D physics research addresses critical challenges for the operation of ITER and the next generation of fusion energy devices. This is done through a focus on innovations to provide solutions for high performance long pulse operation, coupled with fundamental plasma physics understanding and model validation, to drive scenario development by integrating high performance core and boundary plasmas. Substantial increases in off-axis current drive efficiency from an innovative top launch system for EC power, and in pressure broadening for Alfven eigenmode control from a co-/counter-I p steerable off-axis neutral beam, all improve the prospects for optimization of future long pulse/steady state high performance tokamak operation. Fundamental studies into the modes that drive the evolution of the pedestal pressure profile and electron vs ion heat flux validate predictive models of pedestal recovery after ELMs. Understanding the physics mechanisms of ELM control and density pumpout by 3D magnetic perturbation fields leads to confident predictions for ITER and future devices. Validated modeling of high-Z shattered pellet injection for disruption mitigation, runaway electron dissipation, and techniques for disruption prediction and avoidance including machine learning, give confidence in handling disruptivity for future devices. For the non-nuclear phase of ITER, two actuators are identified to lower the L-H threshold power in hydrogen plasmas. With this physics understanding and suite of capabilities, a high poloidal beta optimized-core scenario with an internal transport barrier that projects nearly to Q = 10 in ITER at ∼8 MA was coupled to a detached divertor, and a near super H-mode optimized-pedestal scenario with co-I p beam injection was coupled to a radiative divertor. Textile substrates incorporated with antimicrobial agents offer a great advantage in treating chronic wounds infected with microbes. In this work, a simple one-step process is proposed to develop cellulosic nonwoven incorporated with silver nanoparticles using wet laying technique. In order to improve the dispersion of the fibers during wet laying and better binding of silver nanoparticles, the fibers were cationized using CHPTAC. The decrease in absorbance value of the drain at 470 nm confirms binding of nanosilver to the fiber. A maximum zone of inhibition of 18 mm and 19 mm was obtained for cationized web. We estimated excess mortality in Medicare recipients with probable and confirmed Covid-19 infections in the general community and amongst residents of long-term care (LTC) facilities. We considered 28,389,098 Medicare and dual-eligible recipients from one year before February 29, 2020 through September 30, 2020, with mortality followed through November 30th, 2020. Probable and confirmed Covid-19 diagnoses, presumably mostly symptomatic, were determined from ICD-10 codes. We developed a Risk Stratification Index (RSI) mortality model which was applied prospectively to establish baseline mortality risk. Excess deaths attributable to Covid-19 were estimated by comparing actual-to-expected deaths based on historical comparisons and in closely matched cohorts with and without Covid-19. 677,100 (2.4%) beneficiaries had confirmed Covid-19 and 2,917,604 (10.3%) had probable Covid-19. 472,329 confirmed cases were community living and 204,771 were in LTC. Mortality following a probable or confirmed diagnosis in the community increased from an expected incidence of about 4% to actual incidence of 7.5%. In long-term care facilities, the corresponding increase was from 20.3% to 24.6%. The absolute increase was therefore similar at 3-4% in the community and in LTC residents. The percentage increase was far greater in the community (89%) than among patients in chronic care facilities (21%) who had higher baseline risk. The LTC population without probable or confirmed Covid-19 diagnoses experienced 38,932 excess deaths (35%) compared to historical estimates. Limitations in access to Covid-19 testing and disease under-reporting in LTC patients probably were important factors, although social isolation and disruption in usual care presumably also contributed. Remarkably, there were 31,360 fewer deaths than expected in community dwellers without probable or confirmed Covid-19 diagnoses, representing a 6% reduction. Disruptions to the healthcare system and avoided medical care were thus apparently offset by other factors, representing overall benefit. The Covid-19 pandemic had marked effects on mortality, but the effects were highly context-dependent.

Power Electronic components and the converters are the mainstays of DC distribution. An Energy Storage System (ESS) is also required to keep the voltage on the DC bus stable. The intermittent power received from renewables has to lifted and stored in ESS. Therfore, a Parallel switch Boost Converter (PBC) is designed for 400 W. The converter is designed for closed loop and the performance of the converters is analysed in terms of output voltage ripple, input current ripple and efficiency. It is also validated that the efficiency of the converter is 2% greater than the conventional Boost Converter (BC). Moreover, the voltage and current ripple of PBC is also lesser by 50%. Scopus

Introduction: Ultrasound has become a valuable bedside diagnostic tool, however its utility in evaluation of dyspnea in general ward is not known. The aim of present study is to evaluate the same. Methodology: Prospective,observational study with purposive sampling of consecutive patients admitted in the Pulmonology ward within 8 hours of admission. Focused sonography according to predefined protocol was done and findings recorded. Sonography was performed in patient’s bedside by Pulmonology resident trained in routine use of sonography for 2yrs. Any change in management following ultrasound which may include further investigation or consultation from other department or change in treatment is considered positive result. Results: Total of 60 consecutive patients were screened and enrolled in the study, 37 males and 23 females. Average age of patients was 50yrs. Lung ultrasound detected new findings in 14 (23%) patients and resulted in change in management of 3(5%) patients. Diaphragm USG detected abnormality in 23(38%) patients and resulted in change in management in 5(8%) patients. ECHO found abnormality in 11(18%) patients and resulted in change in management in 7(11) patients. DVT screen was positive in 1 patient and did result in change in management in the same patient. Conclusion: Bedside ultrasonography performed by a non-radiology resident can pick up new findings missed by clinical examinations. This may result in better patient care and outcomes. Hence wherever feasible focused ultrasound should be used in routine patient management even in general medical ward settings.

Indigenous technical knowledge (ITK) is the actual knowledge of a given population that reflects the experiences based on tradition and includes more recent experiences with modern technologies. Traditionally, farmers have used traditional knowledge to understand weather and climate patterns in order to make decisions about crop and irrigation cycles. This knowledge has been gained through many decades of experience and has been passed on from previous generations. The present study was undertaken with the objective of collection and documenting the indigenous technical knowledge of farmers regarding rainfall prediction based on abiotic and biotic factors which is being practiced generation after generation. Here in this paper an effort has been made to collect the abiotic and biotic factors predicting rainfall, as a part of ICAR sponsored NASF ad-hoc research project entitled “Developing climate resilient adaptive strategies for empowerment of farmers” which has been implemented in University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad from 2019 to 2022. Various indigenous technical knowledge are collected by analyzing the journals and newsletters, deep interaction with the farmers of study area, contacting the local resource persons and documenting oral histories without scientific validation. The study found that traditional methods of rainfall forecasting can be utilized for the purpose of short-term and long-term seasonal rainfall predictions by local communities. All available abiotic and biotic indigenous rainfall forecasting techniques may serve as alternative to modern technologies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
