- Abstract
Background – Acharya Vinoba Bhave Rural Hospital’s Pharmacy is a decentralized pharmacy which performs both patient oriented and product oriented approach. The medicines dispensed to the patients are selected merely on the quality of product and the manufacturer, no substandard medicines are kept in AVBRH pharmacy and the patient are treated with high quality medicines. Objectives To observe the working of decentralized pharmacy in AVBRH. To observe the working of centralized pharmacy. To observe the drug delivery system of decentralized and centralized pharmacy. To compare centralized and decentralized pharmacy. To study the benefits of centralized and decentralized pharmacy. Which pharmacy is beneficial to AVBR Hospital. Methodology The data required will be collected from the manager , pharmacy in-charge , pharmacist and associate pharmacist working at the decentralized hospital in AVBRH and other centralized hospitals and the nurses and patients of AVBRH. Material used – routine activities analysis format Place of study - AVBRH, Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha and other pharmacies outside hospital. Duration of study- 2 years Study design – observational study Data collection Primary data –4 pharmacies of AVBRH, by observing all major activities and other pharmacies Secondary data – Question based survey Expected Results – Decentralized pharmacy can be beneficial to AVBRH, as separation of services can be beneficial to both the patients and hospital Study implications – Decentralized pharmacy can be beneficial to the AVBR Hospital and the patients.
