Abstract

In recent years, the jet formation region in active galaxies has been imaged through mm-VLBI in few ideal targets, first and foremost M87. An important leap forward for understanding jet launching could be made by identifying a larger number of suitable objects, characterized by different accretion modes and jet powers. In this article, we present 1 cm and 7 mm VLBI data of a sample of 16 poorly explored radio galaxies, comprising both High-Excitation (HEG) and Low-Excitation Galaxies (LEG) and spanning a large range in radio power. The combination of the sources vicinity (z<0.1) with a large black hole mass ($\log{M_{\rm BH}}$>8.5) results in a high spatial resolution in units of Schwarzschild radii ($<10^3-10^4$ $R_{\rm S}$), necessary for probing the region where the jet is initially accelerated and collimated. We aim at identifying the best candidates for follow-up observations with current and future VLBI facilities. The observations were performed with the High Sensitivity Array, including Effelsberg and the phased-VLA, which has allowed us to characterize the sub-parsec properties of these faint jets and to estimate their core brightness temperature and orientation. The number of sources imaged on scales $\lesssim 10^3$ $R_{\rm S}$ is more than doubled by our study. All targets were detected at both frequencies, and several present two-sided jet structures. Several LEG jets show hints of limb-brightening. The core brightness temperatures are generally below the equipartition value, indicating that equipartition has not yet been reached and/or that the emission is de-boosted. Among LEG, we identify 3C31, 3C66B, and 3C465 as the most promising, combining a relatively high flux density (>50 mJy) with superb spatial resolution (<500 $R_{\rm S}$) at 7 mm. 2. Isolation and Screening of Aspergillus niger and Bacillus coagulans as Potential Candidates for Amylase and Glucose Isomerase Production

Abstract

There is an increasing demand for high fructose corn syrup as an alternative to glucose especially for use by people with diabetes due to its low glycemic index. The high cost of this product coupled with its high demand has attracted the attention of many researchers to search for an alternative and sustainable production route. Therefore, the focus of this work was isolating and screening Aspergillus niger and Bacillus coagulans as possible producers of amylase and glucose isomerase respectively, which are needed to produce high fructose corn syrup. Nine (9) samples of loamy soil were taken from three (3) separate locations (BG = Botanical Garden, RD = Refuse Dumpsite, FB = Flower Bed) to isolate the bacterium and fungus. Based on the lacto-phenol cotton blue stain preparation under a microscope, colonies that were thought to be Aspergillus niger colonies were observed and further identified. Cultural, microscopic, and biochemical characteristics were used to confirm the identification of colonies that were thought to be Bacillus coagulans. The probable isolates of Aspergillus niger and Bacillus coagulans were then screened for amylase and glucose isomerase production respectively. Out of the total of nine (9) soil samples analysed, 5 (55.6 %) were positive for Aspergillus niger. A higher isolation rate of Aspergillus niger, 2 (66.7 %) was recorded in soil samples from botanical garden (BG) and flower bed (FB). The lowest isolation rate, 1 (33.3 %) was observed in soil obtained from the refuse dump. Out of all the isolates screened for their potential to produce amylase, the isolate from the botanical garden showed the highest zone of starch hydrolysis (28 mm), and the isolate from the flower bed showed the least zone of hydrolysis of starch (13 mm). On the other hand, out of the nine (9) soil samples analysed, 6 (66.7 %) were positive for Bacillus coagulans and the highest occurrence of Bacillus coagulans, 3 (100 %) was recorded with soil from botanical garden (BG1), while the least occurrence, 1 (33.3 %) was observed in soil from flower bed (FB2). The probable isolates of Bacillus coagulans screened for glucose isomerase production revealed that all the six (6) isolates produced glucose isomerase, with isolate from refuse dump (RD2) producing the highest concentration of glucose isomerase (4.7014 g/L).

Abstract

The dynamic of relativistic jets in the inner parsec regions is deeply affected by the nature of the magnetic fields. The level of magnetization of the plasma, as well as the geometry of these fields on compact scales, have not yet been fully constrained. In this paper we employ multi-frequency and multi-epoch very long baseline interferometry observations of the nearby radio galaxy NGC 315. We aim to derive insights into the magnetic field properties on sub-parsec and parsec scales by examining observational signatures such as the spectral index, synchrotron turnover frequency, and brightness temperature profiles. This analysis is performed by considering the properties of the jet acceleration and collimation zone, which can be probed thanks to the source vicinity, as well as the inner part of the jet conical region. We observe remarkably steep values for the spectral index on sub-parsec scales ($\alpha \sim -2$, $S_\nu \propto \nu^\alpha$) which flatten around $\alpha \sim -0.8$ on parsec scales. We suggest that the observed steep values may result from particles being accelerated via diffusive shock acceleration mechanisms in magnetized plasma and subsequently experiencing cooling through synchrotron losses. The brightness temperature of the 43 GHz cores indicates a dominance of the magnetic energy at the jet base, while the cores at progressively lower frequencies reveal a gradual transition towards equipartition. Based on the spectral index and brightness temperature along the incoming jet, and by employing theoretical models, we derive that the magnetic field strength has a close-to-linear dependence with distance going from parsec scales up to the jet apex. Abstract

Immunisation is a high priority for improving health outcomes. Yet, in many low-income and middle-income countries, achieving coverage targets independently is hindered by lack of domestic resources and reliance on partners support. Both the 2001 Abuja Declaration and 2016 Addis Declaration were key political commitments to improving immunisation coverage; however, many signatories have yet to meet international targets. Despite signing the Global Vaccine Action Plan and Addis Declaration, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) was unable to fully disburse its portion of allocated funds to cover vaccines without support from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and the World Bank between 2017 and 2019. Additionally, during the same time, vaccine coverage outcomes indicated negative trends, with over 750 000 children considered zero-dose in 2018. In 2019, a primary focus of the then newly elected Presidents agenda was universal healthcare. In collaboration with development partners and stakeholders, the first Presidential Forum was held as a public commitment to increasing childhood immunisation and ensuring the country remains polio-free. This article seeks to highlight the key outcomes of the Forum such as the signing of the Kinshasa Declaration, which formally set targets and specified national, provincial and community-level commitments to vaccination and polio eradication. As of 2023, three Forums have been conducted to reiterate political commitment to routine immunisation in the DRC. This type of high-level commitment could serve as a template for other countries struggling to have high engagement as targets for polio eradication and strengthened routine immunisation are set for 2025-2030.

Abstract

Hygiene practices in food processing plants are important determinants of food quality and safety. Poor hygiene practices may result in the contamination of foods and food products with pathogens, which means a serious risk to public health. This study was aimed at isolating and determining the antibacterial susceptibility profile of Listeria spp. and Staphylococcus aureus from smoked fish sold within Ahmadu Bello University Main Campus. A total of twenty-five (25) smoked fish samples were collected. Fifteen (15) samples, five each from Community market, Akenzua market and ICSA Ramat market were processed and inoculated on Mannitol Salt Agar for the isolation of Staphylococcus aureus. The remaining ten (10) samples were processed using stomacher and on Listeria Selective Agar (Oxford formulation) for the isolation of Listeria spp. The isolates were characterized based on their colonial morphology, Gram’s and biochemical reactions. In addition, agglutination test was carried out to further identify Listeria spp. Antibacterial susceptibility patterns of the isolates was determined using disc diffusion method. Staphylococcus aureus was isolated from all the 15 samples analyzed, giving an occurrence of 100%. However, only one Listeria spp. (Listeria ivanovii) was isolated from the 10 samples analyzed, with a 10% occurrence. All the S. aureus isolates were susceptible to most of the antibiotics, but four were resistant to rocephin and eight to ampiclox. The Listeria ivanovii isolate was also resistant to most of the antibiotics and susceptible to only two. The Multiple Antibiotics Resistance Index (MARI) of S. aureus isolates ranges from 0.2 to 0.4 while it was 0.75 for the Listeria ivanovii isolate. The study demonstrated that smoked fish sold in Ahmadu Bello University Main Campus were found to be contaminated and its consumption is potentially regarded as a health hazard, as such measures should be adopted to control it.

Abstract

Milk is a nutritive food that serves as an excellent growth medium for wide variety of microbes. This study was conducted to determine the occurrence of Staphylococcus aureus in powdered milk sold in Samaru market, Zaria, and their antibiotic susceptibility patterns. Fifty (50) powdered milk samples were collected from different shop vendors. The samples were used for isolation of Staphylococcus aureus by cultural method. Staphylococcal count was determined and the colonies observed were identified based on colonial morphology, microscopic and biochemical characterization. The antibiogram of the isolates were also determined using Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method. The highest Staphylococcal mean count of 1.47x104 CFU/g was observed in powdered milk samples displayed outside the shop in sacks and the lowest count of 1.22x104 CFU/g was observed for samples displayed inside the shop in sacks. Fifteen (15) samples were positive for Staphylococcus aureus giving a percentage occurrence of 30%, with samples displayed outside the shop in sacks having the highest occurrence (42.9%) while the least (16.67%) occurrence was observed in those displayed inside the shop in sacks. The antibiogram revealed a high susceptibility to Ciprofloxacin (100%), Gentamicin (93.33%), Erythromycin and Chloramphenicol (73.33%). While other isolates showed high resistance to Norfloxacin (66.67%) and Ampicillin-cloxacillin (26.67%). Five (5) isolates were resistant to multiple antibiotics with multiple antibiotic resistance index (MARI) ranging from 0.3-0.4. The study revealed high occurrence of Staphylococcus aureus in powdered milk and its resistance to commonly used antibiotics possess a public health risk to consumers of these products

Abstract

This study characterized multi-drug resistant M. tuberculosis phenotypically by LJ-proportion method and genotypically by Geno Type MTBDR plus LPA. Out of the forty M. tuberculosis isolates tested, two (5.0%) were found to be multi-drug resistant by LJ proportion method and one (2.5%) was MDR by LPA. None was found to be mono-resistant to any of the drugs by LJ however, one isolate was mono resistant to RIF and one was mono resistant to INH by LPA. Comparison of Geno Type MTBDRplus LPA and phenotypic LJ-proportion methods showed that one isolate was mono resistant to RIF and one was mono resistant to INH by LPA, one and two MDR-TB isolates respectively were characterized by genotypic and phenotypic methods. The remaining isolates were found to be pan susceptible by both methods. One isolate was characterized as MDR with bands at rpoβ MUT2A region and ihnA MUT2 corresponding to H526Y and A16G mutations respectively. Rifampicin mono resistance with band at rpoβ MUT3 corresponding to S531L was found in one isolate. Also, isoniazid mono resistance was observed in one isolate with ihnA MUT2 band corresponding to A16G mutation. This study has shown an overall high prevalence of MDR-TB in the study area which needs to be urgently addressed. Laboratory facilities for rapid drug resistance detection are needed across the country for early and accurate diagnosis of TB and drug resistant cases. This remains an important step in managing TB drug resistance in Nigeria.

Abstract

Here, we present an EfficientNet-B0-based model to directly predict multiple properties of lithium manganese nickel oxides (LMNO) using their crystal structure images. The model is supposed to predict the energy above the convex hull, bandgap energy, crystal systems, and crystal space groups of LMNOs. In the last layer of the model, a linear function is used to predict the bandgap energy and energy above the convex hull, while a SoftMax function is used to classify the crystal systems and crystal space groups. In the test set, the percentages of coefficient of determination (R2) scores are 97.73% and 96.50% for the bandgap energy and energy above the convex hull predictions, respectively, while the percentages of accuracy are 99.45% and 99.27% for the crystal system and crystal space group classifications, respectively. The class saliency maps explain that the model pays more attention to the shape of the crystal lattices and gradients around the lattice region occupied by the larger ions. This work provides new insight into using an intelligent model to directly relate the crystal structures of LMNO materials with their properties.

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Low immunization coverage rates in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have been reflective of challenges with vaccine access, support and delivery in the country. Motivated by measles and vaccine-derived polio virus (VDPV) outbreaks in 2016-17 and low vaccination rates, the provinces of Haut Lomami and Tanganyika were identified as pilot locations for an innovative approach focused on establishing a consortium of partners supporting local government. This approach was formalized through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Provincial governments in 2018. A third province, Lualaba, established an MoU in 2021. MOU IMPLEMENTATION: These MoUs were 5-year partnerships designed to aid provinces in meeting four key objectives: 80 % immunization coverage, management/elimination of polio/cVDPV outbreaks, improvement of vaccine accessibility, and transfer of immunization service management to provincial leadership. OUTCOMES: During the MoU period, Haut-Lomami saw an increase in full immunization coverage, from 35.7 % (MICS 2018) to 88.9 % (VCS 2021-22), the highest in country. A sharp drop in percentage of zero-dose children was observed in the 3 provinces, confirming improved access to immunization services. Tanganyika saw initial improvement in full immunization coverage, followed by a drop in the VCS 2021-22 due to COVID-19 and healthcare worker strikes. Coverage improved in Tanganyika in the 2023 VCS. The 3 provinces increased their financial contributions to routine immunization and are now the top contributing provinces. While no cVDPV cases were recorded in 2020 and 2021, cVDPV1 and cVDPV2 outbreaks are afflicting the 3 provinces since 2022. CONCLUSIONS: Ultimately, the provincial MoUs were successful in bolstering provincial autonomy and capacity building with the biggest success being a drop in zero-dose children. While not all objectives have been met, the MoU approach served as an innovative program for key aspects of strengthening routine immunization in the DRC.

12. Isolation and Screening of Bacillus subtilis from Soil for Amylase Production

Abstract

This study was aimed at isolating Bacillus subtilis from soil and screening the isolates for amylase production. A total of fifteen (15) soil samples, five each from botanical garden, refuse dump sites and flower beds were collected and subjected to cultural isolation followed by biochemical and microgen identification. The isolates of B. subtilis were then screened for amylase production using starch agar plate method. Nine (9) isolates were confirmed to be Bacillus subtilis with percentage occurrence of 80% from refuse dump sites and botanical garden and 20% from flower bed. All the B. subtilis isolates demonstrated amylase production ability with isolate RD4 from refuse dump sites having the highest diameter of zone of starch hydrolysis (29mm). Bacillus subtilis can readily be isolated from various soil types with frequency of 80% in soils from garden and refuse dumps and 20% from flower bed. All the B. subtilis isolates demonstrated the potential for amylase production. This preliminary study could provide information on the isolation of B. subtilis from various soil types for the production of amylase.

Abstract

Aims. Hot accretion flows are thought to be able to power the relativistic jets observed in Active Galactic Nuclei. They can present themselves as SANE (Standard And Normal Evolution) disks or MAD (Magnetically Arrested Disks), two states implying profound differences in the physical properties of the disks themselves and of the outflows they produce. Methods. In this paper we use a multi-frequency and multi-epoch data set to study the giant radio galaxy NGC 315, with the goal to explore the properties of its accretion disk and sub-parsec jet. We analyze the source maps with a pixel-based analysis and we use theoretical models to link the observational properties of the jet to the physical state of the accretion disk. Results. We propose that the bulk flow in NGC 315 accelerates on sub-pc scales, concurrently with the parabolic expansion. We show that this fast acceleration can be theoretically reconciled with a magnetically driven acceleration. Along the acceleration and collimation zone, we observe an unexpected spectral behavior, with very steep spectral index values $\alpha \sim -1.5$ ($S_\nu \propto \nu^\alpha$) between 22 GHz and 43 GHz. Based on the properties of this region, we predict the black hole of NGC 315 to be fast rotating and the magnetic flux threading the accretion disk to be in excellent agreement with that expected in the case of a MAD. Using a new formalism based on the core-shift effect, we model the magnetic field downstream a quasi-parabolic accelerating jet and we reconstruct it up to the event horizon radius. In the MAD scenario, we compare it with the expected magnetic saturation strengths in the disk, finding a good agreement., Comment: 12 pages plus appendix, 8 figures. Accepted for publication in A&A

Abstract

Numerous studies have investigated the advantages of using composite laminates made of both metals and fibers, which include being able to sustain heavier loads, having better resistance to impacts, and being more durable, while also being lightweight. In this particular study, we utilized the hand lay-up method to create composite laminates consisting of three layers of aluminum alloy and 60 layers of fiber. We tested three different types of aluminum alloy (Al-2024, Al-5052, and Al-7075) and two types of fiber (kevlar and carbon), which were divided into three categories: kevlar fibers, TiC nanoparticle-impregnated kevlar fibers and carbon fibers. We then combined each type of fiber with each type of aluminum alloy to make nine distinct composite laminates. To determine the mechanical properties of the laminates, we used a rule-of-mixture formula. Our research revealed that kevlar fibers had a more significant impact on increasing the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the composite laminates than carbon fibers. However, carbon fibers have a greater effect on the modulus of elasticity of the composite. Among all types of aluminum, Al-2024 provides the highest mechanical properties for composite laminates. However, impregnating kevlar fibers with TiC nanoparticles did not enhance the anti-ballistic performance of composite laminates. Consequently, composite laminate that consists of Al-2024 and carbon fibers exhibits the best mechanical properties and anti-ballistic performance, making them the ideal choice for anti-ballistic applications.

Abstract

Aims. The collimation of relativistic jets in galaxies is a poorly understood process. Detailed radio studies of the jet collimation region have been performed so far in few individual objects, providing important constraints for jet formation models. However, the extent of the collimation zone as well as the nature of the external medium possibly confining the jet are still debated. Methods. In this article we present a multi-frequency and multi-scale analysis of the radio galaxy NGC 315, including the use of mm-VLBI data up to 86 GHz, aimed at revealing the evolution of the jet collimation profile. We then consider results from the literature to compare the jet expansion profile in a sample of 27 low-redshift sources, mainly comprising radio galaxies and BL Lacs, classified based on the accretion properties as low-excitation (LEG) and high-excitation (HEG) galaxies. Results.The jet collimation in NGC 315 is completed on sub-parsec scales. A transition from a parabolic to conical jet shape is detected at $z_{t}=0.58\pm0.28$ parsecs or ${\sim}5\times 10^3$ Schwarzschild radii ($R_{S}$) from the central engine, a distance which is much smaller than the Bondi radius, $r_{B}{\sim}92$ $\rm pc$, estimated based on X-ray data. The jet in this and in few other LEGs in our sample may be initially confined by a thick disk extending out to ${\sim}10^3$-$10^4$ $R_{S}$. A comparison between the mass-scaled jet expansion profiles of all sources indicates that jets in HEGs are surrounded by thicker disk-launched sheaths and collimate on larger scales with respect to jets in LEGs. These results suggest that disk winds play an important role in the jet collimation mechanism, particularly in high-luminosity sources. 19. Taxonomic revision of the southern African species of the genus Cynoglossum L. (Boraginaceae)

Abstract

The aim of the study is to provide a revision of the genus Cynoglossum in southern Africa. The genus is taxonomically problematic within the family Boraginaceae, due to the morphological similarities it shares with other closely related genera in the family. Cynoglossum plants are low-growing biennial, perennial, or rarely annual herbs which are recognizable by their hairy stems and leaves, the latter are usually basal and long petiolate. Based on the latest checklist, a total of eight species of this genus are listed for the study region: C. alticola, C. amabile, C. austroafricanum, C. geometricum, C. hispidum, C. lanceolatum, C. obtusicalyx (endemic to South Africa), and C. spelaeum. The occurrence of C. amabile in the region, however, requires further investigation since the only existing specimen was collected within a protected area in the KwaZulu-Natal province. Two specimens collected in the Doornpoort area in Pretoria, Gauteng province, assigned to this species appear to have been misidentified. Diagnostic characters are described, correct nomenclature, synonyms, typification, distribution maps, as well as the key for identifying the studied species, are provided.

Abstract

The current climate crisis has emphasised the need to achieve global net-zero by 2050, with countries being urged to set considerable emission reduction targets by 2030. Exploitation of a fermentative process that uses a thermophilic chassis can represent a way to manufacture chemicals and fuels through more environmentally friendly routes with a net reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. In this study, the industrially relevant thermophile Parageobacillus thermoglucosidasius NCIMB 11955 was engineered to produce 3-hydroxybutanone (acetoin) and 2,3-butanediol (2,3-BDO), organic compounds with commercial applications. Using heterologous acetolactate synthase (ALS) and acetolactate decarboxylase (ALD) enzymes, a functional 2,3-BDO biosynthetic pathway was constructed. The formation of by-products was minimized by the deletion of competing pathways surrounding the pyruvate node. Redox imbalance was addressed through autonomous overexpression of the butanediol dehydrogenase and by investigating appropriate aeration levels. Through this, we were able to produce 2,3-BDO as the predominant fermentation metabolite, with up to 6.6 g/L 2,3-BDO (0.33 g/g glucose) representing 66% of the theoretical maximum at 50°C. In addition, the identification and subsequent deletion of a previously unreported thermophilic acetoin degradation gene (acoB1) resulted in enhanced acetoin production under aerobic conditions, producing 7.6 g/L (0.38 g/g glucose) representing 78% of the theoretical maximum. Furthermore, through the generation of a ΔacoB1 mutant and by testing the effect of glucose concentration on 2,3-BDO production, we were able to produce 15.6 g/L of 2,3-BDO in media supplemented with 5% glucose, the highest titre of 2,3-BDO produced in Parageobacillus and Geobacillus species to date.

Abstract

Abstract The COVID‐19 pandemic forced medical schools to rapidly transform their curricula using online learning approaches. At our institution, the preclinical Practice of Medicine (POM) course was transitioned to large‐group, synchronous, video‐conference sessions. The aim of this study is to assess whether there were differences in learner engagement, as evidenced by student question‐asking behaviors between in‐person and videoconferenced sessions in one preclinical medical student course. In Spring, 2020, large‐group didactic sessions in POM were converted to video‐conference sessions. During these sessions, student microphones were muted, and video capabilities were turned off. Students submitted typed questions via a Q&A box, which was monitored by a senior student teaching assistant. We compared student question asking behavior in recorded video‐conference course sessions from POM in Spring, 2020 to matched, recorded, in‐person sessions from the same course in Spring, 2019. We found that, on average, the instructors answered a greater number of student questions and spent a greater percentage of time on Q&A in the online sessions compared with the in‐person sessions. We also found that students asked a greater number of higher complexity questions in the online version of the course compared with the in‐person course. The video‐conference learning environment can promote higher student engagement when compared with the in‐person learning environment, as measured by student question‐asking behavior. Developing an understanding of the specific elements of the online learning environment that foster student engagement has important implications for instructional design in both the online and in‐person setting.

39. Production of Cellulase by Trichoderma viride via Submerged Fermentation using Corncob as Substrate

Abstract

Cellulolytic enzymes are commonly used in lignocellulosic biomass conversion, textile, and paper and pulp industries. However, the high cost of cellulase and the high demand has led to increase researches to explore agro-residues for cost-effective production. This study was aimed at isolating Trichoderma viride from decaying wood and soil, and testing the isolates for cellulase production via submerged fermentation using corncob as substrate. Twenty-one (21) soil samples were collected from three different locations (botanical garden, refuse dump site and decaying wood) and used in the study. Colonies suspected to be Trichoderma viride were identified by microscopy of lactophenol cotton blue-stained preparation and slide culture technique, respectively. Isolates confirmed to be Trichoderma viride were then screened for cellulase production on a mineral salt medium containing carboxymethyl cellulose as an inducer. The isolates were further tested for cellulase production using corncob as the substrate via submerged fermentation. Out of the 21 samples analysed, 4 (19%) were positive for Trichoderma viride based on cultural and microscopic characteristics. The highest occurrence of Trichoderma viride (57%) was recorded from decaying wood samples, while no occurrence (0%) was observed from the botanical garden and refuse dumpsite soils. All four isolates obtained produced cellulase, with T. viride DW6 having the highest zone of cellulose hydrolysis (61.5 ± 2.12 mm) and T. viride DW1 having the least (58.5 ± 2.12 mm). The highest enzyme activity was recorded from T. viride DW4 (3.41 ± 0.46 U/ml) and the lowest from T. viride DW1 (1.77 ± 0.52 U/ml) using corncob as substrate. Trichoderma viride is abundantly present in decaying wood, and such isolates have high cellulase-producing ability, as wood material is rich in cellulose. This preliminary study provides information on the isolation of T. viride from decaying wood and their potential for cellulase production using corncob as substrate.

Abstract

As a result of government regulations regarding the learning process using the hybrid learning method, which originally only used online learning methods in tertiary institutions. The purpose of this study was to find out the implementation of the hybrid learning model for midwifery student learning independence at AKBID Tahirah Al Baeti Bulukumba. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach by using percentages for data analysis, the sampling technique is purposive sampling with a total of 45 respondents. The data collection used was a questionnaire in the form of questions using a Likert scale. The research results of the hybrid learning model are classified as very good, as evidenced by the results of the questionnaire distributed to 45 respondents at intervals of 75% - 100%, namely 85%.
