Kearifan lokal, demikian juga tradisi, adalah produk hasil budaya. Oleh sebab itu, sebagaimana halnya budaya, kearifan lokal dapat dibagi menjadi dua: pertama, kearifan lokal yang bersifat kebendaan (material, tangible), dan kedua, kearifan lokal bukan benda (intangible). Lingkup kearifan lokal kebendaan bisa diurai lagi menjadi komponen yang lebih spesifik, seperti kearifan dalam penggunaan material, penciptaan perabotan-peralatan utilitas, arsitektur dan artefak lainnya, hingga kreasi bentuk, ornamentasi atau ragam hias. Dalam hal penggunaan material dan peralatan, banyak kearifan kita temui dalam penggunaan, pengolahan, dan pengelolaan sumber daya alam sebagai bahan baku pembuatan artefak, makanan, maupun obat-obatan tradisional. Adapun kearifan lokal bukan benda, adalah semua aktivitas manusia yang berupa cara/pandangan hidup, adat istiadat, maupun tingkah laku manusia sehari hari. Kedua jenis kearifan lokal ini dilahirkan, dibentuk. dan dikembangkan oleh budaya. Setiap masyarakat lokal tertentu akan menciptakan kearifan lokal tertentu yang dipengaruhi oleh budaya, kondisi geografis setempat, dan beberapa faktor eksternal (Joedawinata, 2005).

The quality of human resources (SDM), among others, determined by the quality and level of education. The quality of education is low causing low quality of human resources; the higher the education level, the higher the quality of human resources that will affect the way of thinking, reasoning, insight, breadth and depth of knowledge. The professionalism of teachers in improving the quality of human resources will be reflected in the implementation of the tasks that are marked with expertise both in material and methods. With his expertise, a teacher is able to demonstrate its independence, both personal as well as professional stakeholders. In addition to their expertise, professional figure teacher demonstrated through its responsibility in implementing all professional dedication should be able to assume and carry out the responsibility as a teacher to the students, parents, community, nation state, and religion. Abstrak Kualitas sumber daya manusia (SDM) antara lain ditentukan oleh mutu dan tingkat pendidikan. Kualitas pendidikan yang rendah menyebabkan kualitas SDM rendah; makin tinggi tingkat pendidikan maka makin tinggi pula kualitas SDM yang akan berpengaruh terhadap cara pikir, nalar, wawasan, keluasan dan kedalaman pengetahuan. Profesionalisme guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas SDM akan tercermin pada pelaksanaan tugas-tugas yang ditandai dengan keahlian baik dalam materi maupun metode. Dengan keahliannya itu, seorang guru mampu menunjukkan otonominya, baik pribadi maupun sebagai pemangku profesinya. Di samping dengan keahliannya, sosok profesional guru ditunjukkan melalui tanggung jawabnya dalam melaksanakan seluruh pengabdiannya profesional hendaknya mampu memikul dan melaksanakan tanggung jawab sebagai guru kepada peserta didik, orang tua, masyarakat, bangsa negara, dan agamanya. Background Decellularized extracellular matrix has been suggested as a scaffold for heart valve tissue engineering or direct implantation. However, cell removal impairs the physical properties of the valve structure and exposes bare collagen fibers that are highly thrombogenic. Matrix/polymer hybrid valves with improved biological and mechanical characteristics may be advantageous. Methods Porcine aortic valves were decellularized enzymatically and impregnated with biodegradable poly(hydroxybutyrate) by a stepwise solvent exchange process. Biocompatibility was tested in vitro using cell proliferation and coagulation assays. Proinflammatory activity was assessed in vivo by implantation of matrix/polymer patches in the rabbit aorta. Biomechanic valve properties and fluid dynamics were tested in a pressure/flow-controlled pulse duplicating system. Matrix/polymer hybrid valves were implanted in pulmonary and aortic position in sheep. Results Biocompatibility assays indicated that human blood vessel cells survive and proliferate on matrix/polymer hybrid tissue. In vitro activation of cellular and plasmatic coagulation cascades was lower than with uncoated control tissue. After implantation in the rabbit aorta, matrix/polymer hybrid patches healed well, with complete endothelialization, mild leukocyte infiltration, and less calcification than control tissue. Matrix/polymer hybrid tissue had superior tensile strength and suture retention strength, and hybrid valves showed good fluid dynamic performance. The two valves in aortic position performed well, with complete endothelialization and limited inflammatory cell invasion after 12 weeks. Of the two valves in pulmonary position, one failed. Conclusions Matrix/polymer hybrid tissue valves have good biological and biomechanic characteristics and may provide superior replacement valves.

The power of the high-velocity waterjets has been utilized for intentional disintegration of material particles, namely minerals. Firstly, the garnet particles were tested and studied being used usually as the most common abrasive additives for waterjets improving their cutting abilities. Later on, other mineral particles have been investigated because there are some practical applications of them. Primarily, the product generated inside the mixing chamber and the focusing tube has been studied. Subsequently, the special colliding chamber has been designed and produced enabling the collision of the two opposite moving waterjets containing material particles. This device was named “Water Jet Driven Particle Collider”, shortly WJDPC. The product created in the collision of the opposite moving particle containing waterjets has particle sizes covering partially both the nano-scale and the micro-scale. The investigation of parameters influencing the amount of particles with sizes in respective dimension scales is the topic of the contribution. Some samples of special materials were studied and tested. The discussion of the results of the computational modeling of the suction process and its influence on the final product is included. All results are discussed regarding their application in practice and further development of special routings for material particle preparation.Copyright © 2009 by ASME

The concrete samples with various erosion states were disintegrated inside the overpressure vessel using high-velocity water jet. Their erosion states were prepared by application of several laboratory techniques simulating the concrete aging under the natural conditions due to the real applications in practice. The influence of the erosion state on the disintegration rate was tested and the surface topography was studied both prior the application of water jet and post it. The water jet was applied in the overpressure vessel used for simulation of pressures equivalent to the submersion to several depths under the water level. Usual experimental scale responsive to the national practical application range was from the depth of submersion close to the water level up to the depth about 100 meters with the 20 meters step. Nevertheless, the data were obtained for overpressures equivalent to the submersion levels up to 140 meters enlarging so the range of results useful for regression analysis of the physical trend. Several samples were tested even in overpressures simulating depth of submersion equal to 160 meters and more. Few samples of special decorative concretes were also studied and special techniques of their working up were prepared and tested. The concept of habits as a major component of occupational behavior, initially proposed by early occupational therapy writers, is reintroduced in this paper. Using systems theory and the model of occupation, a conceptualization of habit structure is described. Habit function and dysfunction can then be defined in terms of whether or not existing habit patterns are meeting the needs of the individual's volition subsystem and the demands of the environment. Case examples are used to demonstrate this schema for classifying function and dysfunction. Finally, principles of habit formation and change, for clinical intervention, are presented.
