Objectives: Parkinson disease (PD) is the third leading cause of mortality among middle‐aged and older individuals in China. This study aimed to explore the trends and distribution features of PD mortality in China from 2013 to 2021 and make predictions for the next few decades. Methods: Relevant data were obtained from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention Disease Surveillance Point system. The joinpoint regression model was used to evaluate trends. The R software was used to predict future trends. Results: Age‐standardized mortality rate (ASMR) of PD increased from 0.59 per 100,000 individuals to 1.22 per 100,000 individuals from 2013 to 2021, with an average annual percent change (AAPC) of 9.50 (95% CI: 8.24–10.78). The all‐age ASMR of PD were higher in male individuals than in female individuals, and ASMR increased with age. The number of deaths and ASMR increased gradually from west to east and from rural to urban areas. Furthermore, ASMR is expected to increase to 2.66 per 100,000 individuals by 2040. Conclusions: The heightened focus on the ASMR of PD among male individuals, urban areas, eastern China, and individuals aged ≥85 years has become a key determinant in further decreasing mortality, thereby exhibiting novel challenges to effective strategies for disease prevention and control. Recently, physical tools for remotely stimulating mechanical force‐sensitive and temperature‐sensitive proteins to regulate intracellular pathways have opened up novel and exciting avenues for basic research and clinical applications. Among the numerous modes of physical stimulation, magnetic stimulation is significantly attractive for biological applications due to the advantages of depth penetration and spatial‐temporally controlled transduction. Herein, the physicochemical parameters (e.g., shape, size, composition) that influence the magnetic properties of magnetic nanosystems as well as the characteristics of transient receptor potential vanilloid‐1 (TRPV1) and transient receptor potential vanilloid‐4 (TRPV4) channels are systematically summarized, which offer opportunities for magnetic manipulation of cell fate in a precise and effective manner. In addition, representative regulatory applications involving magnetic nanosystem‐based TRPV1 and TRPV4 channel activation are highlighted, both at the cellular level and in animal models. Furthermore, perspectives on the further development of this magnetic stimulation mode are commented on, with emphasis on scientific limitations and possible directions for exploitation. Background: Neuroinflammatory responses are closely associated with poststroke prognosis severity. This study aimed to develop a predictive model, combining inflammation-derived markers and clinical indicators, for distinguishing functional outcomes in patients with subacute ischemic stroke., Methods and Results: Based on activities of daily living assessments, ischemic stroke participants were categorized into groups with little effective (LE) recovery and obvious effective (OE) recovery. Initial biocandidates were identified by overlapping differentially expressed proteins from proteomics of clinical serum samples (5 LE, 5 OE, and 6 healthy controls) and differentially expressed genes from an RNA sequence of the ischemic cortex in middle cerebral artery occlusion mice (n=3). Multidimensional validations were conducted in ischemia-reperfusion models and a clinical cohort (15 LE, 11 OE, and 18 healthy controls). Models of robust biocandidates combined with clinical indicators were developed with machine learning in the training data set and prediction in another test data set (15 LE and 11 OE). We identified 194 differentially expressed proteins (LE versus healthy controls) and 174 differentially expressed proteins (OE versus healthy controls) in human serum, and 5121 differentially expressed genes (day 3) and 5906 differentially expressed genes (day 7) in middle cerebral artery occlusion mice cortex. Inflammation-derived biomarkers TIMP1 (tissue inhibitor metalloproteinase-1) and galactosidase-binding protein LGLAS3 (galectin-3) exhibited robust increases under ischemic injury in mice and humans. TIMP1 and LGALS3 coupled with clinical indicators (hemoglobin, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and uric acid) were developed into a combined model for differentiating functional outcome with high accuracy (area under the curve, 0.8)., Conclusions: The combined model is a valuable tool for evaluating prognostic outcomes, and the predictive factors can facilitate development of better treatment strategies.

Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological characteristics, diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis of placental chorioangioma., Methods: Twenty-five cases of placental chorioangioma were analyzed for their clinical data, histomorphology and immumohisto chemical staining. Relevant literature was reviewed., Results: The average age of the 25 patients was 29 years. Fourteen patients had full-term pregnancy, 10 had preterm labor, and 1 had intrauterine fetal death. Nineteen patients had pregnancy complications. The tumors presented as red or dusty pink nodules with clear borders. The tumor size ranged from 1 to 16 cm. Microscopically, the tumors possessed abundant capillaries or cavernous blood spaces lined by hyperplastic endothelial cells. These cells were positive for CD34 and Ki-67 index < 10%., Conclusions: Placental chorioangioma is a rare benign tumor of the placenta, and is associated with various pregnancy complications. Misdiagnosis of cell-rich type tumor should be avoided.

Objective: To analyze the clinicopathologic characteristics of atypical polypoid adenomyoma (APA) of endometrium, and investigate the special characteristics of cancerous transformation from APA., Methods: Fourteen cases of APA were collected in General Hospital of People's Liberation Army from January 2007 to March 2013. The clinical data, morphologic features, immunohistochemistry and the related literature were reviewed., Results: The median age of the 14 patients was 38 years (ranged from 23 to 72 years), only 1 patient was postmenopausal. The most common symptom was irregular vaginal bleeding (4/14), and 4 patients were identified during routine physical examination for infertility. Among 14 cases, 4 cases were diagnosed as well differentiated endometrioid adenocarcinoma originating from APA, and their median age was 35 years (ranged from 28 to 41 years); color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI) of ultrasound showed rich blood flow signal. The tumors with cancerous components were obviously larger than the usual APA (mean diameter: 4.7 versus 1.8 cm). Histologically, irregular and branched glands were embedded in fibromuscular stroma and the glandular epithelium were atypical hyperplasia in varying degrees. While carcinoma developed in the APA, the sieve, solid and papillary structures were noticeable, and necrosis were common., Conclusions: APA is a rare lesion of the uterus. Although the clinical behavior is benign in most cases, there may be possible for some cases developing carcinomas. If the APA mass is more than 4 cm in diameter, and microscopically demonstrates prominent sieve, solid, papillary structures and necrosis, the diagnosis of carcinoma developed from APA can be made. Thorough analysis should be done before the most proper therapeutic regimen is drawn up.
