Intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) is related to the occurrence and development of a variety of tumors. However, the role of ICAM-1 in the regulation of growth, metastasis, and clinical prognosis of the specific molecular subtypes of breast cancer, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), remains to be elucidated. This study explored the role of ICAM-1 in breast cancer and its triple-negative subtypes by systematic bioinformatics methods. The results showed that the expression of ICAM-1 in breast cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in normal tissues, especially in TNBC subtypes. In breast cancer, ICAM-1 mainly activates pathways related to apoptosis and epithelial–mesenchymal transition, while its overexpression in TNBC is associated with inflammatory response, apoptosis, and other processes. TNBC patients displaying higher ICAM-1 expression demonstrate enhanced responses to immunotherapy. High ICAM-1 expression is sensitive to drugs targeting tumor cell proliferation, apoptosis, and angiogenesis. In conclusion, breast cancer is characterized by significantly high expression of ICAM-1, with TNBC subtypes expressing ICAM-1 at much higher levels than other subtypes. The diagnosis, prognosis, development, distant metastases, and immunotherapy of TNBC are correlated with high expression of ICAM-1. This research provides available data for the further study of the diagnosis and treatment of TNBC.

The Tibetan Plateau (TP) has been the focus of numerous studies examining the energy and water cycle variations, but there is still a lack of long-term, quantitative precise assessments of evapotranspiration. This research first provided two sets of long-term comprehensive observational datasets, and an advanced monitoring technique to measure soil moisture, which can improve the estimation accuracy of evapotranspiration. Subsequently, using microwave data, the Surface Energy Balance System model and Machine Learning methods, it calculated a complete set of long-term evapotranspiration data. At the same time, based on reasonable assumptions, it also estimated the total evaporation from plateau lakes. These findings contribute significantly to the understanding of the relationship between the Asian monsoon, the TP’s physical characteristics, and its atmosphere, thereby improving predictions of water resource variability in the TP. The climate of the Tibetan Plateau (TP) has experienced substantial changes in recent decades as a result of the location's susceptibility to global climate change. The changes observed across the TP are closely associated with regional land–atmosphere interactions. Current models and satellites struggle to accurately depict the interactions; therefore, critical field observations on land–atmosphere interactions outlined here provide necessary independent validation data and fine-scale process insights for constraining reanalysis products, remote sensing retrievals, and land surface model parameterizations. Scientific data sharing is crucial for the TP since in situ observations are rarely available under these harsh conditions. However, field observations are currently dispersed among individuals or groups and have not yet been integrated for comprehensive analysis. This has prevented a better understanding of the interactions, the unprecedented changes they generate, and the substantial ecological and environmental consequences they bring about. In this study, we collaborated with different agencies and organizations to present a comprehensive dataset for hourly measurements of surface energy balance components, soil hydrothermal properties, and near-surface micrometeorological conditions spanning up to 17 years (2005–2021). This dataset, derived from 12 field stations covering a variety of typical TP landscapes, provides the most extensive in situ observation data available for studying land–atmosphere interactions on the TP to date in terms of both spatial coverage and duration. Three categories of observations are provided in this dataset: meteorological gradient data (met), soil hydrothermal data (soil), and turbulent flux data (flux). To assure data quality, a set of rigorous data-processing and quality control procedures are implemented for all observation elements (e.g., wind speed and direction at different height) in this dataset. The operational workflow and procedures are individually tailored to the varied types of elements at each station, including automated error screening, manual inspection, diagnostic checking, adjustments, and quality flagging. The hourly raw data series; the quality-assured data; and supplementary information, including data integrity and the percentage of correct data on a monthly scale, are provided via the National Tibetan Plateau Data Center (10.11888/Atmos.tpdc.300977, Ma et al., 2023a). With the greatest number of stations covered, the fullest collection of meteorological elements, and the longest duration of observations and recordings to date, this dataset is the most extensive hourly land–atmosphere interaction observation dataset for the TP. It will serve as the benchmark for evaluating and refining land surface models, reanalysis products, and remote sensing retrievals, as well as for characterizing fine-scale land–atmosphere interaction processes of the TP and underlying influence mechanisms. While urbanization's strong effect on local precipitation has been widely documented, knowledge of how urbanization affects isotopic composition in precipitation is still lacking. In the present study, deuterium-excess (d- excess) served to quantify the contribution of recycled vapor to precipitation in Chengdu city (China) and a nearby rural area. Precipitation from the urban and rural areas showed no significant difference in S[sup 18]O values (p > 0.05). The rural area had significantly higher d-excess (24.29 ± 7.39%o) than the urban (12.71 ± 4.88%o) through the seasons due to higher evapotranspiration flux in the rural area. In summer, however, urban precipitation amount was higher than that of the rural area. Based on d-excess model, the average ratio of recycled vapor was 8.2% in Chengdu, which was lower than in the rural area (36.1%). This highlights the effect of urbanization in decreasing the proportion of vapor from local evapotranspiration contributing to precipitation but blocked much advected moisture. This also implied that precipitation taken in cities were used to represent upwind advected vapor or used as referenced isotopic records for paleoclimate reconstruction based on tree rings or stalagmites sampled in rural area may be erroneous as the effect of urbanization on precipitation vapor.
