Significant global warming occured in the twentieth century and especially in the most recent decades. Climate change is a complex phenomenon accompanied by a wide variety of effects. Rapid alternation, between severe heat wave/drought and abundant rainfall/flooding is more and more obvious. The article presents the annual and vegetation season meteorological conditions changes at Kaunas(Lithuania), Horki (Belarus), Sisak (Croatia)and Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) between 1996-2016. According to the aridity index, based on temperature and rainfall as weather parameters, this study analyzed the climate dryness risk. This study demonstrates how climate change affects traditional temperature and aridity zones. The movement of temperature and aridity zones could trigger ecosystem migration and land use change. However, the evidence and velocity of ecosystem migration and adaptation in response to the shifting of temperature and aridity zones require more Research.

To goal of investigation was to determine yield of silage maize at different drainpipe spacing-15 m, 20 m, 25 m and 30 m. Investigations were conducted in year 2015 at experimental amelioration site in the continental part of Croatia. The yield of silage corn ranged from 36.56 t/ha, achieved on variant of drainpipe spacing from 30 m up to the highest yield, achieved on variant of drainpipe spacing from 15 m.

Peroxide values of raw and roasted tigernut oils extracted by petroleum ether and n-hexane solvents changed between 0.83 and 0.91 meqO(2)/100g to 1.57 and 1.63 meqO(2)/100g, respectively. While oleic acid contents of raw tigernut oils extracted by petroleum ether and n-hexane are determined as 66.83 and 67.47%, oleic acid contents of roasted tigernut oils extracted by petroleum ether and n-hexane were determined as 67.08 and 68.16%, respectively. The highest delta-tocopherol content was found in raw tigernut oil extracted by petroleum ether (54.91 mg/100g), while the lowest level is determined in roasted tigernut oil by n-hexane (50.77 mg/100g). The goal of three-year investigations was to determine the influence of precipitation upon the drainage discharge in two different climatic regions (Croatia and Lithuania) at two different pipe drainage spacing in each region (first region with 15 m and 20 m drainage spacing and second region with 12 m and 24 m drainage spacing), to calculate the soil water balance according Thornthwaite's method and compare the measured drainage discharge and the calculated surplus of water in soil. Investigations were carried out at the experimental amelioration sites in the central Sava River Valley (Croatia) on hydroameliorated Gleyic Podzoluvisol soil and in Middle part of Lithuania on hydroameliorated Hypogleyic Luvisol soil in the period 2009-2011. The research results showed that the drainage discharge and its duration depended on the amount and distribution of the precipitation during the study period. There isn't difference in the total drainage discharge between the tested drainpipe spacing in each investigation year, but there are differences in the duration of the drainage discharge both on an annual scale and depending on drainpipe spacing. In each year, the duration of drainage discharge was smaller at the 12-15 m drainpipe spacing than at the 18-20 m drainpipe spacing. The calculated surplus of water followed the monthly amounts of precipitation, but in all years was higher than the drainage discharge. The 12 to 15 m pipe spacing is more efficient from draining the surplus water from drained soils, since the surplus of water from soil is drained in a shorter period of time and better water-air relationship in soil are created faster, which is a prerequisite for timely application of agricultural management practices on hydroameliorated arable areas.
