Recent years, multi-drug resistant bacteria (MDRs) and lung cancer cells are threatening to human worldwide due to failure of sufficient drugs. It was suggested that the new sources needed to discover new varieties of drugs, antibiotics and other format to eradicate these infections. As like, the medicinal plant of Morinda citrifolia (M. citrifolia) was used in this study to inhibit both the bacterial infection and cancer cells. First, the LC-MS measurement was evidently reported the available essential oils from medicinal plant of M. citrifolia. It has excellent anti-bacterial properties against P. mirabilis, E. coli, P. aeruginosa and S. aureus with 24, 22, 26 and 18 zone of inhibition respectively by agar well diffusion. Subsequently, the liquid interference assay was exhibited 97 %, 96 %, 94 % and 90 % inhibition at 1000 µg/mL concentration for all the tested pathogens. In addition, M. citrifolia EOs have excellent anti-bacterial activity, and it arrested the bacterial growth completely at 1000 µg/mL concentration for 24 h after compared with other time intervals. Subsequently, the intracellular membranes and more death cells with condensed chromosome like structure were effectively observed by confocal laser scanning electron microscope. Then, invitro cytotoxicity result of M. citrifolia EOs treated A549 lung cancer cells was clearly observed. The cytotoxicity result confirmed that the 500 µg/mL of M. citrifolia EOs against A549 lung cancer cells as fixed as IC50 dose. Hence, current study conclude, M. citrifolia is the excellent medicinal plant to inactivate bacterial growth and cancer cells efficiently.

In the present study, the phytochemicals and anti-oxidant ability rich marine mangrove plant Rhizophora mucronata (R. mucronata) was evaluated. The UV-bio spectrometer result of O.D value of phenolic content was shown 0.986 as well as flavonoid content were shown 0.994 at 100 µg/mL concentration. The high yields of phenol and flavonoid contents were observed compared with standard gallic acid and rutin. Concisely, the more phenols and flavonoids and some bioactive derivatives were clearly exhibited by LC-MS scanning report. In addition, the anti-oxidant activity result shown with 85 % and DPPH scavenging assay result shown 66% in crude extract of R. mucronata were observed and it was very higher than the rate of standard gallic acid and ascorbic acid. Further, the liquid–liquid extraction of available bioactive compounds were purified and shown excellent anti-bacterial activity against multi drug resistant bacteria. The anti-microbial activity result indicated that the 250 µg/mL of R. mucronata extract was shown 24 and 26 mm zone of inhibition against K. pneumoniae and A. baumannii. Then, the concentration dependent inhibition of R. mucronata extract was shown against both the tested pathogens and 250 µg/m concentrations was fixed as a minimum inhibition concentration range. Finally, the induction of outer cellular layer morphology effect and damaged size and shapes of the R. mucronata extract was shown against K. pneumoniae and A. baumannii. Altogether, the present study results were deliberately recommended that the R. mucronata extract as potential anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial agent. Hence, the natural marine mangrove plant R. mucronata is the safe, eco-friendly, low cost source for discovery of potential drug against various infections.

This article describes an affordable method for the synthesis of MnMoO4 nanoflowers through the microwave synthesis approach. By manipulating the reaction parameters like solvent, pH, microwave power, and irradiation duration along this pathway, various nanostructures can be acquired. The synthesized nanoflowers were analyzed by using a powder X-ray diffractometer (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV–DRS) to determine their crystalline nature, morphological and functional group, and optical properties, respectively. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was performed for the examination of elemental composition and chemical states by qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the investigations demonstrated that the MnMoO4 nanostructures with good crystallinity and distinct shape were formed successfully. The synthesized MnMoO4 nanoflowers were tested for their efficiency as a photocatalyst in the degradation studies of methylene blue (MB) as model organic contaminants in an aqueous medium under visible light, which showed their photocatalytic activity with a degradation of 85%. Through the band position calculations using the electronegative value of MnMoO4, the photocatalytic mechanism of the nanostructures was proposed. The results indicated that the effective charge separation, and transfer mechanisms, in addition to the flower-like shape, were responsible for the photocatalytic performance. The stability of the recovered photocatalyst was examined through its recyclability in the degradation of MB. Leveraging MnMoO4’s photocatalytic properties, future studies may focus on scaling up these processes for practical and large-scale environmental remediation.

The modern nanomedicine incorporates the multimodal treatments into a single formulation, offering innovative cancer therapy options. Nanosheets function as carriers, altering the solubility, biodistribution, and effectiveness of medicinal compounds, resulting in more efficient cancer treatments and reduced side effects. The non‐toxic nature of fluorinated graphene oxide (FGO) nanosheets and their potential applications in medication delivery, medical diagnostics, and biomedicine distinguish them from others. Leveraging the unique properties of Lissachatina fulica snail mucus (LfSM), FGO nanosheets were developed to reveal the novel characteristics. Consequently, LfSM was utilized to create non‐toxic, environmentally friendly, and long‐lasting FGO nanosheets. Ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) spectroscopy revealed a prominent absorbance peak at 235 nm. The characterization of the synthesized FGO nanosheets involved X‐ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR‐TEM), and atomic force microscopy (AFM) analyses. The antimicrobial activity data demonstrated a broad spectrum of antibacterial effects against Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The cytotoxicity efficacy of LfSM‐FGO nanosheets against pancreatic cancer cell line (PANC1) showed promising results at low concentrations. Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have attracted renewed research interest as a potential low-cost substitute for conventional silicon photovoltaics. This work aims to improve the photovoltaic performance of the DSSCs by incorporating multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) into the BaTiO3 photoelectrode. The pure BaTiO3 and BaTiO3/MWCNT nanocomposites were sensitized with N719 dye and fabricated into solar cell devices for testing. The structural characterization confirmed the successful formation of the nanocomposite with an optimal dispersion at 6% of MWCNT incorporation, beyond which agglomeration effects manifested. The optical analysis verified the modulation of defect states and bandgap engineering induced by the MWCNT network. The morphological studies revealed irregular nanoparticle clusters with embedded nanotubes. Solar cell testing under AM1.5G-simulated sunlight demonstrated a peak power conversion efficiency of 4.044% for 6% of MWCNT doping, constituting a 6-fold increment versus pure BaTiO3 (0.693%). It originated from the simultaneous enhancements in the open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current enabled by the favorable band structure alterations and percolation-assisted charge transport. However, further increasing MWCNT content deteriorated the device metrics, owing to emerging limitations like trapping. The rational integration of multi-walled carbon nanotubes with lead-free ferroelectric metal oxides can contribute to the development of emerging organic-inorganic hybrid solar platforms.
