This paper focuses on the importance of publishing research in indexed journals and the challenges encountered because of predatory publishers. This emphasizes the significance of qualitative health research and the use of evidence-based research approaches. The process of selecting indexed journals for publication is discussed, highlighting the benefits of credibility and recognition. The prevalence and detrimental consequences of predatory journals have been addressed, emphasizing the need for awareness and caution. The situation of scientific publication around the world is examined, noting the high presence of predatory journals and their impact on researchers' reputation and academic progress. Recommendations are provided to identify and avoid predatory journals as well as the need for increased education and accountability in the research community.

Seven hundred and twenty four fish specimens were captured from March to September 2016. The materials used in the current study were cast nets, hand nets. Eight cyprinid fish species were studied for their length-weight relationships. Parameter b in the LWR was 3.03, 3.06, 3.02, 2.29, 2.82, 3.43, 2.73 and 2.47 for Schizothorax plagiostomus, Schizothorax esocinus, Racoma labiata, Tor putitora, Barilius vagra, Garra gotyla, Puntius ticto and Arassius auratus respectively. Current study is the first attempt on the LWRs of cyprinid species, provide a baseline approach for conservation and /management of local fish fauna of economic importance. Resumo Um total de 724 espécimes de peixes foi capturado de março a setembro de 2016. Os materiais usados no presente estudo foram redes de lançamento, redes de mão. Oito espécies de peixes ciprinídeos foram estudadas quanto às suas relações peso/comprimento. O parâmetro b no LWR foi 3,03, 3,06, 3,02, 2,29, 2,82, 3,43, 2,73 e 2,47 para Schizothorax plagiostomus, Schizothorax esocinus, Racoma labiata, Tor putitora, Barilius vagra, Garra gotyla, Puntius ticto e Arassius auratus respectivamente. O estudo atual é a primeira tentativa sobre os LWRs de espécies de ciprinídeos, fornecendo uma abordagem de base para a conservação e o manejo da ictiofauna local de importância econômica.

Background: Physiotherapy is the desired therapeutic intervention for the recovery of fractures and discomfort associated with bones. In certain cases the patient may suffer from extreme pain because of sudden jerks or injuries. The goal of this review was to map out the available literature on virtual reality in distal radius fracture rehabilitation across physiotherapy disciplines. Methods: An extensive and systematic search of the following databases was undertaken- Embase, Cochrane Library, PEDro, and CINAHL. The MeSH search items used were articles with “artificial intelligence, “machine learning” “virtual reality” “physiotherapy”. Articles were identified if they described an intervention which is considered within the scope of a physiotherapist and targeted those with DRF. Results: Total 35 were initially procured from which 26 articles were included, out of which 13 were observational, 6 Randomized Control Trials, 2 qualitative, 2 surveys and 3 systematic reviews. Only 9 studies focused explicitly on physiotherapy interventions. Conclusion: The results of there view indicate that there is insufficient evidence to direct physical therapists in the treatment of individual with distal radius fracture using artificial intelligence.

Background: Variation in flexibility can put an unusual amount of annoyance on the framework of the musculoskeletal system. The hamstring muscles are restricted when they are short, which can interfere with everyday activities and is usually a cause for concern. The flexibility of the hamstrings increases as the suboccipital muscles' tone deteriorates,, which are is single neuronal pathway that goes through the dura mater and connects them and which is called as the superficial back line (SBL). Hence as an intervention suboccipital muscle inhibition technique and cranial cervical technique is less time and energy consuming with efficient amount of results. Aim and Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of suboccipital muscle inhibition technique verses cranial cervical technique for increasing hamstring flexibility. Methods: Here we will evaluate hamstring tightness and impact of suboccipital muscle inhibition technique verses cranial cervical technique as an intervention with duration of 2 weeks. As an outcome measure Sit and reach test is given to desired population .This study will be conducted in Ravi Nair Physiotherapy College, Sawangi, Meghe, Wardha. The duration of study will be two week. The study design is pre and post interventional study. Results: The data will be analysed using Student paired t test. Conclusion: The expected outcome includes detection of hamstring tightness and improvement in hamstring tightness using sit and reach test. Data analysis will be done using students paired t test and conclusion of the study will be published after the results are analysed.

Infantile haemangioma is a condition seen in premature babies, it develops as a birth mark that grows in size commonly seen on back, chest, scalp, the swelling is characterised by bleeding or oozing. In such patients primary concern is any ill effects due to medical condition and secondary concern is cosmetic. A 9 month old baby brought to the hospital with complaints of swelling on the back with oozing. The patient was given IV propranolol for 1 year. And wound care was taught along with ergonomic education for ADLS. The study suggests that the use of IV propranolol shows significant reduction in the swelling and oozing from the swelling.

Cybersickness continues to become a negative consequence that degrades the interface for users of virtual worlds created for Virtual Reality (VR) users. There are various abnormalities that might cause quantifiable changes in body awareness when donning an Head Mounted Display (HMD) in a Virtual Environment (VE). VR headsets do provide VE that matches the actual world and allows users to have a range of experiences. Motion sickness and simulation sickness performance gives self-report assessments of cybersickness with VEs. In this study a simulator sickness questionnaire is being used to measure the aftereffects of the virtual environment. This research aims to answer if Immersive VR induce cybersickness and impact equilibrium coordination. The present research is formed as a cross-sectional observational analysis. According to the selection criteria, a total of 40 subjects would be recruited from AVBRH, Sawangi Meghe for the research. With intervention being used the experiment lasted 6 months. Simulator sickness questionnaire is used to evaluate the after-effects of a virtual environment. It holds a single period for measuring motion sickness and evaluation of equilibrium tests were done twice at exit and after 10 mins. Virtual reality being used in video games is still in its development. Integrating gameplay action into the VR experience will necessitate a significant amount of study and development. The study has evaluated if Immersive VR induce cybersickness and impact equilibrium coordination. To measure cybersickness, numerous scales have been developed. The essence of cybersickness has been revealed owing to work on motion sickness in a simulated system.

Sacralization is an embryo congenital defect in which the fifth lumbar vertebra is fused to the sacrum in various degrees. The prevalence of sacralization is 7.5 percent. Sacralization can be unilateral or bilateral. This disorder arises due to irregularities in the lumbosacral spine segmentation during development. Transverse process of the L5 on one side or both sides is wider than usual and fuses into the sacrum or ilium or both in the sacralization of the fifth lumbar vertebra. Low back pain is the most common symptom in most of the population throughout their lifetime. As low back pain is a leading cause of disability, interfering with quality of life and job outcomes our goal is to assess the association between sacralisation and low back pain. Purpose: To study the relationship between sacralization and low back pain. Because the role of sacralization throughout causing LBP is still controversial. This is the observational study which includes 55 participants who have low back ache. The participants are between the ages 60 to 70 years. The intensity of pain was assessed through NPRS. To assess the relationship between Sacralization and low back pain, all the participants were sent for Xray and the presence of Sacralization was assessed by X-ray. We found that there was a significant relationship between sacralization and low back pain. The patients with sacralization show the high intensity of low back pain. We concluded that Sacralization affects the lumbosacral spine in different ways and result in pain in lower back. And there is significant association of sacralization with low back ache.

To compare the effect of Land based exercises and Pool based exercises for shoulder strength to reduce shoulder pain in competitive swimmers using Shoulder Pain Disability Index (SPADI) score, Hand-Held dynamometer (HHD), Randomized Clinical trial.29 competitive swimmers with age group between 8 to 18 years were evaluated for shoulder pain using Shoulder Pain Disability Index Score [SPADI] and shoulder strength was evaluated using Hand Held Dynamometer [HHD] before and after the study. Then all the subjects were divided into 2 groups, for Group A Pool based exercises were given and for Group B Land based exercises were given. Statistically there is significant difference in values of outcome measures after the study in both groups but there is more significant difference in Group A than Group B. Pool based exercises showed more significant effect on shoulder pain than land based exercises in swimmer’s shoulder.

Breast cancer is most common cancer in females. Modified radical mastectomy is operation in female which affects social life and physical life. There is also slightly moderate in quality of life in female undergone modified radical mastectomy. The aim of the study was to find “Evaluation of Posture and Quality Of Life in Females undergone Modified Radical Mastectomy’’ This study was carried out in Physiotherapy OPD, Ravi Nair Physiotherapy College and AVBRH, Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha. The objectives included to evaluate posture in female’s undergone Modified radical mastectomy and to evaluate Quality of life. The present study titled “Evaluation of Posture and Quality of Life in females undergone Modified Radical Mastectomy” which comprised of 35 females. The present study showed that slight changes in posture in females undergone modified radical mastectomy and moderately hampered in social domain of quality of life. From the present study we concluded that there is slight changes in posture in female patients undergone MRM and there is good quality of life in physical , psychological , environment domain and moderate quality of life in social domain. This study will helps in evaluating posture and QOL after Modified radical mastectomy. Hence after every modified radical mastectomy conditions, therapists always follow ergonomics to prevent bad posture and improve quality of life. Hence, the evaluation of posture and QOL should be include in all assessment proformas related MRM conditions.

Virtual reality is a novel approach for distracting and alleviating anxiety, pain, and other complications during medical procedures, and it can be more effective than conventional methods. In virtual reality, the patient is completely immersed in the virtual environment, which is used to make patients feel more comfortable and can provide a positive prognosis. The data were searched by using the Boolean operator "AND" between the search phrases "Virtual reality," and "Pediatrics" and the relevant literature was extracted. The inclusion criteria were the free full text, randomized controlled trials, studies between 2016 and 2022 and pediatric patients. This systematic review was conducted to compare randomized controlled trials of virtual reality applications in pediatric patients in different clinical settings. Of the included 15 randomized controlled trials, 12 studies were on pain and anxiety, two on brain injury and cerebral palsy, and one on awareness among asthmatic patients. This review concluded that virtual reality exposure has a beneficial effect on pediatric patients in reducing pain and anxiety, improving muscle strength and dexterity, and awareness among asthmatic patients.

Distal radial fractures (DRF) are often encountered in upper limb fractures globally, and their associated complications affect the functional independence of the individual following the injury. The potential of gamification in applied rehabilitation is expanding its horizons in the rehabilitation of conditions ranging from neuromotor deficits to cognitive impairments. However, the synthesis of the literature is aimed at analyzing and summarizing the evolution of gamification in DRF rehabilitation. A comprehensive search and extraction of relevant literature were conducted and reviewed for the applicability of population analysis, interventional methodology, comparative factors, outcome measures, and the type of study. Thirteen studies were included and evaluated, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs), literature reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and bibliometric analyses. The conclusions demonstrated an improvement with gamification and addressed it as an effective rehabilitation method. Based on the analysis of the data that was extracted, the conclusion supports the use of gamification in the rehabilitation of DRF and looks into how it can help improve the person's functional capacity.

Bone is highly susceptible to cancer metastasis, and both tumour and bone cells enable tumour invasion through a “vicious cycle” of biochemical signalling. Tumor metastasis into bone also alters biophysical cues to both tumour and bone cells, which are highly sensitive to their mechanical environment. However, the mechanobiological feedback between these cells that perpetuates this cycle has not been studied. Here, we develop highly novel in vitro and computational models to provide an advanced understanding of how tumor growth is regulated by the synergistic influence of tumour-bone cell signaling and mechanobiological cues. In particular, we develop the first multicellular healthy and metastatic bone models, which can account for physiological mechanical signals within a custom bioreactor. These models successfully recapitulated mineralization, mechanobiological responses, osteolysis and metastatic activity. Ultimately we demonstrate that mechanical stimulus provided protective effects against tumor-induced osteolysis, confirming the importance of mechanobiological factors in bone metastasis development.

The studies on bibliometric analyses of case reports usually give valuable information regarding various aspects of case reports but lack investigation analysing these publications. This is the first-ever study to examine the bibliometric articles on case reports; hence, it is hypothesized to provide a valuable contribution to this gap. PubMed and SCOPUS databases were searched, and a total of 119 articles were obtained, but only five were analyzed matching the inclusion criteria. The keywords involved in the search were "Bibliometrics", "analysis", "case reports", "case series", and "articles" whereas, the time range in which the case reports were searched for was between 2011-2021. Common parameters from these five articles were employed for bibliometric analysis, which included publication year, publication type, the number of case reports per article, theme or subject of the article, citation, and impact factor (IF). Out of the five articles identified, four were published in 2021. One out of five was a case report, and the rest were review-type of articles. The overall citation number of these articles was less than 10, and the IF of these articles was between 0-0.007. The number of citations of the articles was in a period of one to two years or less than one year. A comprehensive overview of the parametrises, as well as the recent trends that are being used to conduct bibliometric analysis on case reports was acquired.

Introduction Gamification is a novel interventional approach to functional recovery and rehabilitation. A significant impact has been observed with the application of gamification on non-traumatic conditions and chronic neurological and musculoskeletal illnesses; however, the implication of gamification on the functional recovery of patients with distal radius fractures (DRF) is yet to be explored. Methodology This pilot study included 20 post-DRF patients aged 18-65 years with unilateral DRF, managed with closed reduction and K-wire internal fixation. The patients were assigned to group A (gamification) and group B (conventional rehabilitation) in a 1:1 ratio. Group A patients played Racket: NX game, Until you fall game, and Holofit game on Oculus Quest head-mounted display (HMD) (Oculus, USA), while group B patients received a conventional rehabilitation program. Both groups underwent a rehabilitation program for 60 min/day, five days a week, for four weeks. The visual analogue scale (VAS), universal goniometer, Jamar dynamometer, and Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand (DASH) questionnaire were used as outcome measures at baseline, at the end of the second week, and at the end of treatment. Results There were significant improvements in pain, range of motion (ROM), grip strength, and functional independence in both groups. However, improvements in hand function and functional independence were significantly greater in the gamification group than in the conventional physiotherapy rehabilitation group. Conclusion The study concluded that gamification appears to have a significant impact on post-DRF rehabilitation in terms of pain, ROM, grip strength, and functional independence. Further research with larger sample sizes is required to confirm the preliminary findings.

Breast cancer is the most common disease in females and the major cause of mortality and morbidity. In reality, 1.67 million new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed around the world, with 458,000 deaths per year. Approximately 89 percent of breast cancer survivors live for a minimum of five years after treatment, but adverse effects can last for months or years after surgery. The most common side effects of the upper limb are pain and joint dysfunction, which is described as having a prevalence range of 12 percent to 51 percent for pain and 1.5 percent to 50 percent for joint dysfunction.(1) The mainstay in primary breast cancer care is surgery.(2) To assess the impact of an early recovery program on shoulder mobility, functional ability, postoperative complications such as seroma, hematoma, and wound infection in patients who had undergone a modified radical mastectomy (MRM)and to assess the impact of variables in clinical practice (e.g., age, education, BMI, previous shoulder problems, number of dissected axillary lymph nodes and metastatic lymph nodes, use of postoperative radiotherapy (RT) and chemotherapy on shoulder mobility, functional ability, and lymphedema development), and lymphedema.(3) Any of these symptoms can result in permanent arm dysfunction. Shoulder exercises are widely prescribed to minimize the impairment of mobility and strength as well as to prevent lymphedema. A variety in clinical services has been established which help mostly in improvement of shoulder range of motion while also reducing the risk of secondary lymphedema. This is the case of a 32-year-old female, resident of Dastur Nagar, Amravati. Housewife by occupation. She has swelling in her right breast so she visited a private hospital in Amravati. There she detected a lump in her right breast and the doctor recommended further treatment to visit AVBRH Hospital, Sawangi Meghe, and Wardha. She underwent a modified radical mastectomy. Patients that have had a mastectomy are always at the possibility of experiencing shoulder pain and adhesive capsulitis and require preventative measures.

Adenomyosis is an important gynecological condition. It is considered a benign uterine disorder that shows a pathological demonstration of the endometrial gland and stroma in the uterine myometrium. A 42 years old female patient presented with excessive bleeding during menses and irregular menstrual cycle with dysmenorrhea, for 7-8 months. The patient complains of pain for 7-8 months in the lower abdomen region, in the iliac fossa on both left and right side, and is insidious in onset. The patient went to a private hospital where she got diagnosed with adenomyosis and suggest removal of the uterus. The investigation was done which includes CBC, KFT, LFT, and USG abdomen and pelvis which reviled that patient is having Adenomyosis. Vaginal hysterectomy is the least invasive type of hysterectomy, which is having lesser costs and risks which can also be done in women having uterus weighing more than 280g. For managing postoperative complication of hysterectomy various physiotherapy intervention could be given which includes pelvic strengthening exercises, core strengthening, breathing exercises, and yoga poses. The study concluded that hysterectomy may result in post-surgical manifestations which can be effectively managed by early physiotherapy intervention which impacts on quality of life of the patient.

The education system in the health care profession is evolving with an increase in knowledge and tremendous advances in technology as per the emerging needs of society. The trend in Physiotherapy education should also change as our knowledge base changes and as the needs, or the perceived needs, of patients, medical practitioners, clinician physiotherapists, and society change. This change occurs through planning and accepting the concept of the dynamic nature of the curriculum. Competence-based education (CBE) is pertinent to this shift and is widely implemented in various universities and institutions overseas. Physiotherapy professional helps to restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. The development of competent health care professionals is the need of an hour, to achieve this curriculum should be well structured with the attainment of the desired competency as the final goal. Competence-based education encompasses identification of competency, components of competency, teaching-learning methods, vigorous assessment tools, and proper planning for implementation by the institution. Comprehensive examination, functional impairments, disability evaluation, and functional diagnosis are the basic required competencies in Physiotherapy Undergraduate. Thus the objective of this review is to provide a brief idea about its significance in physiotherapy schools and currently how the implementation is under process at Physiotherapy Institutions under Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (DMIMS) an autonomous institute in Maharashtra, India.

Now a day’s abnormal uterine bleeding in premenopausal women is the most common indication of hysterectomy which usually results from myomas and adenomyosis. In this case study, a 38-year-old female, with a complaint of abnormally heavy bleeding with menstrual cycle irregularity and discomfort for 15 days each month with dysmenorrhoea. She was diagnosed for large fibroid deposition at the posterior wall of the uterus and extroverted in the position. So, she was prescribed for vaginal Hysterectomy by a gynecologist further investigation, she underwent a vaginal hysterectomy, post-operatively patient was complaining about lower abdominal pain and difficulty in bed mobility activities. There was weakness in pelvic floor muscles after the surgery, due to which she had worried about overweight, physical health, and her quality of life. So she approached the physiotherapist, where she had trained for pelvic floor muscle training two-three sessions per day for two weeks with abdominal, back, and hip strengthening exercises with a home exercise program. VAS scale, Oxford grading system, PFIQ, QOL questionnaire was taken as outcome measure prior and after the intervention. The present case report emphasizes the effect of the combination of different exercises for pelvic floor muscles encasing the comprehensive rehabilitation plan including a home exercise regimen allowing the patient to recover early and return to daily activities.

PIVD is the protrusion from the nucleus pulposus through the rent within the annulus fibrosis. L4-L5, L5-S1 discs are most commonly affected in 95 percent of lumbar disc herniation. As we grow older the discs which are present in our vertebral column, become less flexible and begin to harden, making it more susceptible to tears. The herniated disc may be caused by a single undue strain or injury. However, as disc degeneration progresses with age, a few people may suffer herniated discs from more minor activities or twists. The patient was a 38-year-old female who presented with a complaint of pain in the neck & back which was 8 on Vas, pain in both limbs ( upper & lower) which was 7 on Vas, Numbness present in Upper limb fingers, Stiffness in all joints along with pedal edema. The patient also had a varicose vein on both lower limbs grade 3. She was admitted to the hospital because she was not able to even get up from the bed due to pain. She was working in a mess for 8 years the work included prolonged standing, bending down, lifting heavy weights, and sitting on the floor for a long period. Due to pain, she was not able to continue her work. Ayurvedic treatment along with physiotherapy treatment was going on. The patient had the same complaints before 12 months she was relieved by physiotherapy. The patient had three laser sessions done for a varicose vein but was not relieved before 1 year. According to the clinical presentation and Radiological findings the patient was diagnosed with PIVD. This case study shows that regular exercise, traction, back strengthening exercise, use of modalities such as IFT, and following proper ergonomics would reduce the symptoms associated with PIVD and varicose veins

Selective neck dissection (SND) is a surgical procedure developed to remove cervical lymph nodes at the risk of invasion metastasis. It is distinguished from radical neck dissections wherein there is the retention of one or more groups of lymph nodes. In this case, a 45-year-old male shopkeeper diagnosed with malignancy of lower anterior alveolus from 45-36 region (stage IVA –T4a N2Cm0) underwent SND, segmental mandibulectomy, and reconstruction with pectoralis major myocutaneous flap (PMMC flap) on the left side. On assessment, before the SND, Scapular mal positioning, inferior medial border prominence, coracoid pain, and dyskinesia of scapular movement (SICK) were identified. The patient was referred for physiotherapy with the complaint of inability to maintain saturation, difficulty in decannulation, and shoulder dysfunction on postoperative day 3 (POD-3). Chest physiotherapy comprising of breathing and suctioning techniques aided early decannulation. Furthermore, a prompt shoulder rehabilitation program for six months had a positive impact on the overall functioning and quality of life of the patient.

The Biceps Brachia is an anterior arm muscle consisting of two heads that bridge the shoulder girdle to the forearm. The distal biceps tendon from both heads may converge or remain anatomically separate before attachment to the radial tuberosity. The incidence of distal biceps rupture is 1.2/100,000 per year and is mostly seen in middle-aged men. The rupture of the biceps tendon is a relatively less common lesion making this case unique. Physiotherapy rehabilitation post-surgery is found to be effective; it includes management of pain, increase range of motion exercises, strengthening exercises, muscle energy technique, cardiovascular fitness, all these together helps to improve patient outcomes. A case of the 40-year-old female is presented in this case report who underwent traumatic glass-cut injury in proximal forearm resulting in distal bicep-tendon repair with ulnar artery injury and ulnar nerve neuropathy. After surgical reconstruction patient presented with pain in the shoulder, elbow, and wrist, reduced range of motion, strength, and grip strength leading to difficulty in performing activities of daily living. Surgical history, clinical findings, outcomes, and rehabilitation are mentioned in this report. We report that there is a significant improvement in stability, range of motion, muscle strength, relief from pain, and improvement in the patient's functional level and outcomes.

Suryanamaskar or Sun Salutation is a mostly practiced Yoga pose by most yoga practitioners all around the world. It consists of synchronizing body flow movements which alternatively contracts and stretches the body musculature, with continuous alteration of the Inhalation & Exhalation. Most of the Indians or ancient Yoga practitioners as well as various health professionals always keep advising for the practice of suryanamaskar. Previous literature has shown its effects on different systems of the body. Primarily the ethical approval was taken for the study to conduct from the ethical board. The consent from the parents of the school-going children was taken. The Purpose of the Research was explained to the children as well as the parent to improve the compliance towards study results. The study is conducted with 65 samples of school-going children with 4 weeks of intervention of slow Suryanamaskar practice. The purposive sampling method has been used to sort the samples as per the requirements. The whole study was conducted between 6 months of period. The finding of this study shows the significant improvement of the mean values of the Peak Expiratory Flow Rate at the end of the study duration. This study concludes that slow Suryanamaskar has a great impact on the improvement of pulmonary functions.

COVID-19 is an acute respiratory disease associated with coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2 named coronavirus disease (COVID-19), coronavirus is interspecies, and can also be transmitted from human to human that has triggered a global pandemic over the past one year. As no particular medication is available at present as said preventive is better than cure must pursued. Many health professional like physiotherapist play a big role in understanding of COVID-19 and its precautionary steps to stop the spread of corona virus. Because a strong immunity will protect us, but prevention and recovery is an important way to cope up with the dangerous situation of COVID -19 diseases. And in rural area there is lack of hospital facilities so the need for the awareness, precautionary measures and rehabilitation is essential measures to spread of corona virus in community. Physiotherapist plays a primary rolls in awareness about precautionary and safety measures also physiotherapeutic care during acute and post Covid situation. Physiotherapist plays internal roll in community rehabilitation through home workouts, training for physical fitness by exercise, yoga and respiratory care exercises to increase strength and reduce disability. During this pandemic physiotherapist work on digital platform through telehealth, virtual group rehabilitation methods which work on health rehabilitation with also proper ergonomic training during work from home to reduce work hazards and improve productivity.
