We prove Strichartz estimates for the Schrödinger equation in R n \mathbb {R}^n , n ≥ 3 n\geq 3 , with a Hamiltonian H = − Δ + μ H = -\Delta + \mu . The perturbation μ \mu is a compactly supported measure in R n \mathbb {R}^n with dimension α > n − ( 1 + 1 n − 1 ) \alpha > n-(1+\frac {1}{n-1}) . The main intermediate step is a local decay estimate in L 2 ( μ ) L^2(\mu ) for both the free and perturbed Schrödinger evolution.

Objectives During COVID-19 pandemic, the absence of immunity in the population left them susceptible to infection with SARS-CoV-2; healthcare workers (HCWs) being in the highest risk group. This study intends to assess and follow up the humoral immunity in HCWs vaccinated with an inactive virus vaccine (CoronaVac). Study Design This is a prospective observational study. Methods A total of 1072 HCWs were investigated for the presence of IgG antibodies to the receptor binding domain (RBD) of the S1 subunit of the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 after vaccination. Blood samples were obtained following 28 days of the first dose, 21 days of the second dose, and three months after the second dose. Detection of anti-spike antibodies was performed by the chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA) method (SARS-CoV-2 IgG II Quant, Abbott, Ireland). Results greater than or equal to the cutoff value 50.0 AU/mL were reported as positive. Aims: The aim of this study is modeled the ratios of export to imports data in Turkey by using nonparametric regression methods. Study Design: This was Spline, Bayesian Spline and Penalized Spline Regression modeling study. Place and Duration of Study: Turkish Statistical Institute. The ratios of export to import data consist of sixty-seven month periods (May 2007 to November 2012). Methodology: In this study, distribution graph of ratios of export to import between 2007 to 2012 years in Turkey is modeled using spline and Bayesian spline regression methods. The results of these regression models are compared. Then Penalized spline regression is examined with Bayesian approach and models are established for the different values of the smoothing parameter which obtained using prior distributions. Background Sjogren9s disease (SD) is a multisystemic disease mostly manifest with sicca symptoms. Lympocytic infiltration of the glandular and extra glanduler organs is the dominant pathologic feature of the disease. Multiple stimulators were accused in the pathogenesis of SD. Leptin, an endogenous peptide, involves in various metabolic processes as well as influence immune system (1). Increased serum leptin level is observed in patients with autoimmune diseases such as SD, systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis when compared to healthy controls (2). Objectives Even if serum leptin level increases in the patient with SD, there is no data about its effect on exocrine glands. We aimed to compare density of leptin in the salivary gland of SD patients with control group. Furthermore we evaluted the relation between intensity of lympocytic infiltration and density of leptin in the salivary glands of SD patients Methods We applied leptin immunostain to minor salivary glands samples of 24 SD patientss,who were fullfilled American College of Rheumatology Sjogren9s Disease Classification Criteria (ACR-SDCC) and 19 patients who undergo minor salivary gland biopsy due to clinically on suspicion of SD but not fullfilling the ACR-SDCC and had no lymphocytic focus on biopsy. Herein,leptin density in acinar and ductal structures of the salivary glands were evaluated in both groups.Moreover, minor salivary gland samples of SD patients were also assessed for relationship between focus score, disease progression (evaluated with SSDAI) and leptin immunostaining. Results Demographic features of both group were similar. Furhermore, there were no difference in leptin staining features of both group.Additionally, we found that higher focus score (>2) was associated with more diffuse leptin staining and higher SSDAI scores related with diffuse acinar staining. Conclusions Different leptin staining features in higher focus score and higher disease activity might indicate the role of leptin especially in more significant disease. Leptin may locally stimulate chemotaxis and activate infiltration of glands with inflammatory cells. To assess the diagnostic accuracy ofThis was a multicentre trial of the Society of Urologic Oncology in Turkey in conjunction with the Nuclear Medicine Department of Cerrahpasa School of Medicine, Istanbul University. Patients were accrued from eight centres. Patients with high-risk and very high-risk disease scheduled to undergo surgical treatment with extended LN dissection between July 2014 and October 2015 were included. Either MRI or CT was used for morphological imaging. PSMA PET/CT was performed and evaluated at a single centre. Sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were calculated for the detection of lymphatic metastases by PSMA PET/CT and morphological imaging. Kappa values were calculated to evaluate the correlation between the numbers of LN metastases detected by PSMA PET/CT and by histopathology.Data on 51 eligible patients are presented. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of PSMA PET in detecting LN metastases in the primary setting were 53%, 86% and 76%, and increased to 67%, 88% and 81% in the subgroup with of patients with ≥15 LN removed. Kappa values for the correlation between imaging and pathology were 0.41 for PSMA PET and 0.18 for morphological imaging.PSMA PET/CT is superior to morphological imaging for the detection of metastatic LNs in patients with primary prostate cancer. Surgical dissection remains the gold standard for precise lymphatic staging.

The current study assessed the decision-making process before surgery in prostate cancer patients. A structured telephone interview was conducted by an independent third party in 162 consecutive patients who underwent surgery for prostate cancer. Responders revealed that details regarding diagnosis and treatment alternatives were withheld from a significant number of patients. Radiation and active surveillance were presented as alternative options to surgery in 57 (39%) and 20 (14%) of responders, respectively. Twenty-six (18%) patients reported not being informed regarding potential surgical side effects. Patients were not active participants in critical aspects of decision making in 61 (42%) of the cases. Being inadequately informed and more frequent visits to the urologist appeared to make decisions more difficult. Treatment regret was reported by 23 (16%) of the patients who underwent surgery and was more common when the patient was not involved in the decision or was inadequately informed. As such, shared decision making should replace paternalism when managing patients with localized prostate cancer in urologic practice.

Chromosomal microarray analysis is the first-tier test for the evaluation of developmental disabilities and congenital anomalies. In this report, we present CMA results of 971 patient and 301 parent samples.Among 971 patient samples, 133 (13.6%) had pathogenic variants.While analyzing, an "in-house" variant database was also used besides other databases. Owing to this, we have found chance to report the most frequent benign variants in Turkish population.With the additional data we acquired in this study, we also emphasized the high potential of CMA in revealing single gene disorders and novel gene-phenotype associations as well as copy number variations.

Immense use of topographical data in spatial data visualization, business GIS (Geographic Information Systems) solutions and applications, mobile and location-based services forced the topo-data providers to create standard, up-to-date and complete data sets in a sustainable frame. Data quality has been studied and researched for more than two decades. There have been un-countable numbers of references on its semantics, its conceptual logical and representations and many applications on spatial databases and GIS. However, there is a gap between research and practice in the sense of spatial data quality which increases the costs and decreases the efficiency of data production. Spatial data quality is well-known by academia and industry but usually in different context. The research on spatial data quality stated several issues having practical use such as descriptive information, metadata, fulfillment of spatial relationships among data, integrity measures, geometric constraints etc. The industry and data producers realize them in three stages; pre-, co- and post data capturing. The pre-data capturing stage covers semantic modelling, data definition, cataloguing, modelling, data dictionary and schema creation processes. The co-data capturing stage covers general rules of spatial relationships, data and model specific rules such as topologic and model building relationships, geometric threshold, data extraction guidelines, object-object, object-belonging class, object-non-belonging class, class-class relationships to be taken into account during data capturing. And post-data capturing stage covers specified QC (quality check) benchmarks and checking compliance to general and specific rules. The vector data quality criteria are different from the views of producers and users. But these criteria are generally driven by the needs, expectations and feedbacks of the users. This paper presents a practical method which closes the gap between theory and practice. Development of spatial data quality concepts into developments and application requires existence of conceptual, logical and most importantly physical existence of data model, rules and knowledge of realization in a form of geo-spatial data. The applicable metrics and thresholds are determined on this concrete base. This study discusses application of geo-spatial data quality issues and QA (quality assurance) and QC procedures in the topographic data production. Firstly we introduce MGCP (Multinational Geospatial Co-production Program) data profile of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) DFDD (DGIWG Feature Data Dictionary), the requirements of data owner, the view of data producers for both data capturing and QC and finally QA to fulfil user needs. Then, our practical and new approach which divides the quality into three phases is introduced. Finally, implementation of our approach to accomplish metrics, measures and thresholds of quality definitions is discussed. In this paper, especially geometry and semantics quality and quality control procedures that can be performed by the producers are discussed. Some applicable best-practices that we experienced on techniques of quality control, defining regulations that define the objectives and data production procedures are given in the final remarks. These quality control procedures should include the visual checks over the source data, captured vector data and printouts, some automatic checks that can be performed by software and some semi-automatic checks by the interaction with quality control personnel. Finally, these quality control procedures should ensure the geometric, semantic, attribution and metadata quality of vector data.

The swelling of disc-shaped heterogels were studied using Fast Transient Fluorescence Technique (FTRF). Disc-shaped heterogels were prepared by combination of methyl-methacrylate (MMA) and styrene (S) with ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDM) as a crosslinker agent in the presence of 2,2 0 -azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN). Pyrene (Py) was introduced as an extrinsic floroprobe during polymerisation. Lifetimes of Py were measured during in situ swelling processes of heterogels in good solvents to determine the relation between the diffusion and solvent quality. An equation is derived for low-quenching efficiencies to interpret the behavior of lifetime of Py during swelling. Li‐ Tanaka equation was employed to determine the cooperative diffusion coefficients, Dc in heterogels, which were found to be strongly correlated with the chosen solvent and the polymeric material in the heterogel system. q 2003 Elsevier Science Ltd. A fast transient fluorescence (FTRF) technique was used to study the sol–gel transition during gelation of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDM). Pyrene (Py) was used as a fluorescence probe for the in situ polymerization experiments. Swelling of this cylindrical poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) gel in chloroform was monitored using FTRF technique. Fluorescence lifetimes of Py from its decay traces were measured and used to monitor both the gelation and swelling processes. Stern–Volmer kinetics were employed to determine the quenching rate constant before the onset of gelation. MMA consumption rate was measured during gelation process using the Stern–Volmer model. A Li–Tanaka equation was introduced to determine the cooperative diffusion coefficient Dc, which was found to be around 10−5 cm2 s−1 during the swelling of PMMA gel in chloroform. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A novel in situ steady state fluorescence experiment was performed for studying slow release processes in gels formed by free radical cross-linking copolymerization of methyl methacrylate and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate. Gels were prepared at 75 °C with pyrene (P y ) as a fluorescence probe. After drying these gels, slow release experiments were performed in various solvent with different molar-volume, V and solubility parameters, δ at room temperature by real-time monitoring of the P y fluorescence intensity. Slow release diffusion coefficients ( D ) were measured and found to be in between 0.23×10 −6 and 2.06×10 −6 cm 2 s −1 depending on the solvent used.

Objectives: Substantial portion of patients with chest pain, who arrive to the emergency department, are diagnosed as acute coronary syndrome. Early diagnosis and timely administration of trombolytic agents decrease mortality and morbidity, shorten stay period of the patients at the hospital, and affect prognosis of the disease positively. In the patients with atypical chest pain and nondiagnostic ECG's, markers which are highly sensitive and exclusive in early period are needed for early and accurate diagnosis of AMI. We compared myoglobin and troponin T with CK-MB that is used routinely in the practice to determine their early ruling out and ruling in of AMI. Materials and Methods: Sixty two patients with chest pain presenting to the emergency department were included in the study. Of the patients (n=62) 30 had diagnosis of MI. The remaining 32 patients had diagnosis of UA and nonspesific chest pain. The patients whose clinical conditions may cause false-positive results of marker assays were excluded from the study. At the 2nd, 3th, 4th, 5th, 6th and 12th hours of begining the ches pain, blood were taken for myoglobin, troponin and CK-MB analyses. Results: Sensitivities of myoglobin, troponin T, and CK-MB were 53%, 3%, and 0% respectively. At the same time their NPD's were 68 %, 52 %, and 51 % respectively. In the 5th hour after the onset of chest pain the sensitivities were 100 %, 93 %, and 76 % respectively. In the same time the NPD's were 100 %, 94 %, and 81 %. As a result, myoglobin was found out to be the most sensitive and exclusive marker in early period for diagnosis of AMI. Troponin T was determined as a later sensitive and exclusive marker in diagnosis of AMI. Conclusion: It can be concluded that additional use of CK-MB concurrent measurement of myoglobin, a cardiosensitive marker, and troponin T, a cardiospesific marker, in blood may be an appropriate strategy for early diagnosis of AMI.©2006, Fırat Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi, Amaç: Acil servise göğüs ağrısı şikayeti ile başvuran hastaların önemli bir kısmı Akut Koroner Sendrom tanısı almaktadır. Atipik göğüs ağnsı ve nondiagnostik EKG'si olan hastalarda erken AMI teşhisi için erken belirleyici ve dışlayıcı kaabiliyeti yüksek markerlere ihtiyaç vardır. Gereç ve Yöntem: AMI'ı erken tesbit edebilme ve dışlama kaabiliyetlerini belirlemek için miyoglobin ve troponin T'yi rutin olarak kullanılan CKMB ile karşılaştırdık. Çalışmaya 62 göğüs ağrılı hasta alındı. Bunların 30'u AMI tanısı konuldu. Geriye kalan 32 hasta ise UA ve diğer göğüs ağrıları tanısını aldı. Hastalar markerlerin yanlış pozitif oluşturabileceği durumlardan dışlanarak çalışmaya dahil edildiler. Tüm hastalardan ağrının 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ve 12. saatlerinde myoglobin, troponin ve CK-MB ölçümleri için kan örnekleri alındı. Bulgular: Ağrının 2. saatinde miyoglobin, CK-MB ve troponin T'nin sensitiviteleri sırasıyle %53,%3 ve %0 bulundu. Aynı saatteki negatif prediktif değerleri ise sırasıyla %68 ,%52 ve %51 bulundu. Beşinci saatteki sensitiviteleri ise sırasıyla %100, %93 ve %76 idi. Aynı saatteki NPD'leri ise sırasıyle %100 , %94 ve %81 idi. Çalışmada erken dönemde AMI'ya en duyarlı ve AMI'yı dışlama kaabiliyeti en yüksek marker olarak miyoglobin bulundu. Troponin T ise daha geç belirleyici marker olarak bulundu. Sonuç: Acil serviste AMI'ın erken teşhisinde CK-MB'ye ilaveten kardiyosensitif marker olan miyoglobin ile kardiospesifık marker olan troponin T'nin de beraber kullanımı uygun bir diyagnostik strateji olabilir.©2006, Fırat Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi

Fast transient fluorescence (FTRF) technique was employed for studying the swelling of disk shaped poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) gels which were prepared by free-radical copolymerization of methyl (methacrylate) (MMA) and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate at 80°C. The FTRF technique, which measures lifetimes, is more powerful in gel swelling experiments than the steady-state fluorescence technique where fluorescence intensity is measured. Swelling experiments were performed by using pyrene (Py) doped PMMA gels in chloroform at various temperatures. Decay curves of Py were used to monitor during in situ swelling experiments. Double exponential fits were performed to measure the long (τ2) and short (τ1) components of Py lifetimes which belong to the Py molecules inside and outside the PMMA gels. It was observed that τ2 values inside the gel decrease as swelling proceeds; however, τ1 lifetimes outside the gel stay constant during slow release. An equation is derived for low-quenching efficiencies to interpret the behavior of Py lifetimes inside the gel during swelling. The Li–Tanaka equation was used to determine the cooperative, Dc diffusion coefficients at various temperatures. It was observed that the Dc value increases as the temperature is increased. The activation energy ΔE was measured for the gel swelling process, and found to be 22 kcal mol−1.

Py lifetimes in the gel decreased as swelling proceeded, but Py lifetimes out of the gel stayed constant during the slow-release experiments. The Li-Tanaka equation was used to determine the cooperative and mutual diffusion coefficients, which were around 10 -5 and 10 7 cm 2 s 1 , respectively.

Solvent uptake and degree of swelling were found to be dependent on the solubility parameter of the solvent.

The kinetics of propylene polymerization using a prepolymerized high-active TiCl3 catalyst with an Et2AICI cocatalyst are investigated. The effect of various parameters such as AI/Ti ratio, pressure, temperature, hydrogen, and polymerization time on the rate of polymerization and yield are examined. The dependency of these parameters on the polymerization rate are studied. It is found that the variation at the rate of polymerization with the Et2AICI cocatalyst concentration complies with a Langmuir–Hinshelwood type of relationship. The overall activation energy of polymerization calculated from the Arrhenius plot was found to be 11.6 kcal/mol. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

We investigate $L^1(\R^2)\to L^\infty(\R^2)$ dispersive estimates for the Schr\"odinger operator $H=-\Delta+V$ when there are obstructions, resonances or an eigenvalue, at zero energy. In particular, we show that the existence of an s-wave resonance at zero energy does not destroy the $t^{-1}$ decay rate. We also show that if there is a p-wave resonance or an eigenvalue at zero energy then there is a time dependent operator $F_t$ satisfying $\|F_t\|_{L^1\to L^\infty} \lesssim 1$ such that $$\|e^{itH}P_{ac}-F_t\|_{L^1\to L^\infty} \lesssim |t|^{-1}, \text{for} |t|>1.$$ We also establish a weighted dispersive estimate with $t^{-1}$ decay rate in the case when there is an eigenvalue at zero energy but no resonances., Comment: 41 pages

Propylene is polymerized in a slurry over a TiCl3 · ⅓AlCl3 catalyst with a DEAC cocatalyst, approaching conditions of industrial relevance. The effects of various parameters such as temperature, pressure, cocatalyst-to-catalyst ratio, hydrogen concentration, and polymerization time are investigated with particular emphasis on the yield, tacticity, molecular weight, bulk density, and particle size of the resulting polymer. The highest yield and isotactic content are obtained at an Al/Ti ratio of 6, temperature of 70°C, and pressure of 9 kg/cm2g. The polymerization rate is found to be first order up to a monomer concentration of 2.5 mol/L. The overall activation energy of polymerization calculated from an Arrhenius plot is found to be 11.6 kcal/mol. Primer adrenal insufficiency is a rarely seen endocrine disorder. Our patient was a 28-year old primigravide woman with primary addison disease who had been receiving steroid replacement treatment for 18 years. We followed her from the first part of pregnancy to ceserean delivery with endocrinology clinic. No complications developed during and after pregnancy, Primer adrenal yetmezlik nadir görülen bir endokrinolojik hastalıktır. Çoğu idiopatiktir. Tip 1 diabetes mellitus, hipertiroidizm, hipotiroidizm, pernisiyöz anemi gibi otoimmun hastalıklarla ilişkilidir. Yirmi sekiz yaşında 18 yıldır Addison hastalığı nedeni ile tedavi gören ve gebelik istemi olan olguyu gebeliğin ilk haftalarından doğuma ve puerperal döneme kadar takip ettik. Endokrinoloji kliniği ile birlikte takip ettiğimiz hastada kortikosteroid tedavisi ile antenatal ve postnatal dönemde bir komplikasyona rastlamadık.

Aim: Our aim was to investigate the metabolic parameters and clinic symptoms of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) patients. Material and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 89 PCOS patients who were admitted to the Ege University Gynecology polyclinic between August 2007 and September 2010. Patients charecteristics, their complaints, ultrasonographic examination, biochemical and hormonal parameters were evaluated. Results: The mean age of PCOS patients and mean body mass index were 24,0±5,2 and 24,1±4,4 kg / m2 respectively. Insulin resistance was established due to Homeostatic Model Assesment HOMA index and 34% of the patients had insulin resistance (n=31). The most common complaint of patients was nonregular menstruation cycles. When we compared the non insulin resistant group with insulin resistant in terms of cholesterol, high density lipoprotein (HDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL) and triglyceride, HDL and cholesterol levels were not considered significantly high (p=0,69;p=0,14) while an increased low density lipoprotein and triglyceride levels were found to be significantly (p=0,005; p=0,01 low). Increased Thyroid stimulating hormone and prolactin hormone levels were found in 17% and 8% patients respectively. Conclusion: Polycystic ovarian syndrome may cause gynecologic complaints by the way of changing metabolic parameters. Primer adrenal yetmezlik nadir görülen bir endokrinolojik hastalıktır. Çoğu idiopatiktir. Tip 1 diabetes mellitus, hipertiroidizm, hipotiroidizm, pernisiyöz anemi gibi otoimmun hastalıklarla ilişkilidir. Yirmi sekiz yaşında 18 yıldır Addison hastalığı nedeni ile tedavi gören ve gebelik istemi olan olguyu gebeliğin ilk haftalarından doğuma ve puerperal döneme kadar takip ettik. Endokrinoloji kliniği ile birlikte takip ettiğimiz hastada kortikosteroid tedavisi ile antenatal ve postnatal dönemde bir komplikasyona rastlamadık., Primer adrenal insufficiency is a rarely seen endocrine disorder. Our patient was a 28-year old primigravide woman with primary addison disease who had been receiving steroid replacement treatment for 18 years. We followed her from the first part of pregnancy to ceserean delivery with endocrinology clinic. No complications developed during and after pregnancy

Çapan, İnci (Balikesir Author), In the present article thin films of poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) polymer labelled with anthracene (Ant-PMMA) prepared by spin coating are characterised by UV-visible spectroscopy, surface plasmon resonance (SPR), spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and their organic vapour sensing properties are investigated. Ant-PMMA films' thickness are determined by performing theoretical fitting to experimental data measured using SPR and SE. Results obtained show that the spin-cast films are of good uniformity with an average thickness of 6-8 nm. Organic vapour sensing properties are studied using SPR technique during exposures to different volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Ant-PMMA films' response to the selected VOCs has been examined in terms of solubility parameters and molar volumes of the solvents, and the films were found to be largely sensitive to benzene vapour compared to other studied analytes.

Erdoğan, Matem (Balikesir Author), Sorption process by surface plasmon resonance (SPR) was studied by exposing polymeric film made from anthracene labeled poly(methyl methacrylate) (An-PMMA) chains to various concentrations of saturated chloroform vapor. It was observed that the reflectivity changes were fast and reversible. The changes in reflectivity implied the swelling behavior of polymeric film during adsorbtion and can be explained by capturing of chloroform molecules. When clean air is introduced into gas cell similar behavior is observed but this time in the opposite direction as a result of desorption. Fick's law for diffusion was used to quantify real time SPR data for the swelling and desorption processes. It was observed that diffusion coefficients (D-s) for swelling obeyed the t(1/2) law and found to be correlated with the amount of chloroform content in the cell. Diffusion coefficients (D-d) during desorption were also measured and found to be increased as the saturated chloroform vapor content is increased in the cell.

Unfavourable effects of hypothyroidism and zinc deficiency on wound healing are well known. This experimental study was conducted on rats to evaluate the effects of hormone replacement and zinc supplement on wound healing. A total of 50 rats were divided into 5 groups of 10 rats as follows: Control group (A), a hypothyroidism group (B), a L-thyroxine receiving hypothyroidism group (C), a zinc receiving hypothyroidism group (D), and a L-thyroxine plus zinc receiving hypothyroidism group (E). In order to develop hypothyroidism, 5-propyl 2-thiouracil had been given intraperitoneally for a period of 21 days to all groups except the control group. A laparotomy with a 4 cm median incision was performed in all rats. The first half of the rats was sacrificed on the 7th day and the remaining on the 14th day. Breaking strength, hydroxyproline concentrations in the healing scar tissue and blood serum zinc levels were measured. Although both values--breaking strength and hydroxyproline levels--, compared to all others, were found to be higher in the L-thyroxine plus zinc receiving group (group E) on the 7th day, differences among the groups were not statistically significant. However, on the 14th day, these differences were found to be significant. We conclude that the hormone replacement therapy in hypothyroidism cases was beneficial with regard to wound healing and the results were more satisfactory if zinc was added to the therapy.

Malignant mixed mesodermal tumors rarely occur in extragenital sites. An 80-year-old patient presented with a malignant mixed mesodermal tumor, consisting of papillary serous adenocarcinoma and chondrosarcomatous components. The patient refused further treatment following surgery and died of disease 2.5 months later. Based on the present case and a review of the literature, primary extragenital malignant mixed mesodermal tumors prove to be rare but highly malignant neoplasms. Further data is yet to be gathered in order to determine the exact origin and behavior of these tumors.

Endüstri, Çevre ve Meslek Sağlığının incelenmesinde toplumun temel yapı taşı olan aile ve aile sağlığı meseleleri "Kuvvet Merkezi"ni meydana getirmektedir. Çünkü Ailenin: Mahremiyet, Psikolojik Danışma, Rehabilitasyon ve Meşguliyetle Tedavi, üyelerin karşılıklı yardımlaşması gibi hususlar bakımından teşhis ve tedavinin sosyal ve birleştirici faktörlerine hakim olmak özelliği vardır. Mahremiyet prensibi ihmal edildiği zaman psikiyatrik ve bedensel teşhisin tamam olması mümkün değildir. Ülkemizin devlet hastanelerinde doğrudan aileye yönelik sağlık hizmetlerini başlatması henüz beş senesini doldurmuştur. Aileyi çok derinden etkileyen sanayileşme ve kentleşme olguları, aileye verilen sağlık hizmetlerinde endüstrileşme, çevresel değişiklikler ve ileri derecede ihtisaslaşma faktörlerini göz önünde bulundurmayı zorunlu kılmaktadır. Nitekim aile hekimliği çalışmalarında öncü kuruluş niteliğinde olan T.C. S.S.Y. Bakanlığı, Numune ve Ankara Hastaneleri aynı zamanda adalt hastaların ferdi müracaatlarında da modern yaşamın gerektirdiği hızlı ve dolaysız hizmet vermek çabasındadır. Bu amaçla hasta ve müracaatçıların beklenti ve temayüllerinde ortaya çıkacak değişiklikler aile sağlığına katkıda bulunacak ekibe vaka analizlerinde sosyal faktörlerini doğru değerlendirme yükümlülüğü getirmektedir.Muayyen sosyal gruplara sağlık hizmetleri görülürken sanayileşme ve kentleşme etüdlerinin önemi artmıştır. Çalışmamızda, yukarıda sözü edilen devlet hastanelerine ek olarak Ankara Büyük Doğumevi (T.C. S.S.Y. Bakanlığı Zekai Tahir Burak Doğumevi)ʼnde de anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Böylece aileye yönelik sağlık hizmetlerinin rutin hizmetlerinden sayılan Dahiliye ilk kabul, Cerrahi Acil Müracaat ve Nüfus Planlaması ve Acil Doğum hizmetleri veren ilk başvurumu ve danışmanlık biriminde sözü edilen üç büyük ve öncü hastanenin 1991 yılının ikinci yarısındaki spesifik başvurular etüd edilmiştir. Böylece 14 yaşın üzerindeki 1500 müracaatçıya tamsayım uygulanmış yani "örneklem" diliyle ifade edilecek olursa bu deneklerin tamamının müracaatları incelenerek kendilerine 6 ana grup üzerinde 27 soruluk bir anket uygulanmıştır. Mahremiyet prensibine tamamen sadık kalınarak yapılan bu çalışmaya ek olarak soru-cevap yöntemini reddeden müracaatçılarla yapılan görüşmeler tape-recorder ile kaydedilmiş ve değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında ayrıca, söz konusu pilot faaliyetlerin personel, araç-gereç, organizasyon yönünden aile sağlığı kapsamında güncel hizmetlerin bir değerlendirmesi yapılarak, ilmi olduğu kadar aktüel bir yaklaşım izlemiştir. Böylece aile bireylerinin geliştirdiği yeni temayüller karşısında endüstri, meslek ve çevre sağlığı hizmetlerinin nerelerde yetersiz kaldığı yahut kalabileceği araştırılmıştır.

This article considers the effect of duct shape on the Nusselt number. In order to show the effects of duct shape on the Nusselt number, four illustrative examples are given: the heat transfer in a duct of rectangular cross-section, heat transfer in a duct of semicircular cross-section, the heat transfer in a duct of circular crosssection and heat transfer between two parallel plates. The method used in this paper is general and it can be applied al flows. It is not necessary to use thin plate analogy, first, the velocity distribution is obtained and then the temperature distribution is found. It is shown that the Nusselt numbers calculated for the four examples cited depend not only on duct shape but also on wall friction.

In this study, the coefficients of the p-fundamental forms of a hypersurface N imbedded in n-dimensional Riemannian space M were expressed in terms of the coefficients of first and se- cond fundamental forms. Then, by means of Cayley-Hamilton theorem, the inverse S-1 of the shape operatör S on the hypersurface N was vvritten as the combinations of the powers of S and the curvatures K n ... K p Thus the new fundamental forms and some properties of them cal- led the inverse fundamental forms, were defined and investigated. As a result of an application of the generalized divergence theorem of Gauss to the divergence relations of certain tensor fi- elds över the region R of N that can be expressed in terms of polynomials involving the new de­ fined curvatures of M an integral formula was obtained.
