Psoriasis is a disease caused by genetics and immune system dysfunction, affecting the skin and joints. Toll-like receptors (TLRs) play an important role in triggering the innate immune response and controlling adaptive immunity. The role of TLR2 in the progression of psoriasis is not well understood.

ObjectiveTo analyze the status of depression with somatization symptoms among college students during the pandemic of COVID-19， and to screen the influencing factors.MethodsFrom 12 to 19 March 2020， all the 2019 freshmen in Communication University of China， Nanjing completed a web-based survey， in which all the students were assessed by Psychological Questionnaires for Emergent Events of Public Health （PQEEPH）， somatization subscale of Symptom Checklist 90 （SCL-90）， Self-rating Depression Scale （SDS） and self-designed general demographic questionnaire， then the collected data were processed by univariate and multivariate Logistic regression.ResultsA total of 3 406 valid questionnaires were collected， with an effective recovery rate of 93.0%. The detection rate of depression symptoms and depression with somatization symptoms were 55.7% （1 898/3 406） and 4.9% （93/1 898）， respectively. Background: Skincare and makeup "pilling" is an unsightly and undesirable phenomenon whereby skincare such as moisturizers or foundation ball up to form flakes on the skin. To date, the causes of skincare product pilling have not been studied. This study aimed to examine the relationship between skin physiology and pilling potential of sunscreen and foundation (the two products most reported by consumers to cause pilling). This study also examined the effects of product application methods on pilling. Materials and methods: 528 female volunteers from Guangzhou, China, aged between 20 and 49 years, underwent various clinical skin assessments, followed by three steps of product layering. Pilling was assessed after each product application step. Results: 217 volunteers (41%) experienced pilling. The majority of pilling (n = 655 events) occurred following sunscreen application, while only a few pilling events (n = 35) occurred with foundation. Foundation improved pilling caused by sunscreen in 98.9% of cases. Volunteers experiencing pilling with both sunscreen and foundation had significantly lower facial skin hydration and oiliness, higher pH, and smoother skin texture (P < 0.05). Two application methods, rubbing of products in circular and linear motions, yielded the highest numbers of pilling events. Conclusion: This study has provided the first insights into the causes of pilling. Sunscreen is a promoter of pilling, while foundation may resolve sunscreen‐induced pilling in many cases. Skin physiology, particularly drier, smoother skin with higher pH, and product application methods are likely contributing factors to this undesirable phenomenon. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted to ascertain the prevalence of anemia, iron deficiency (ID), and iron deficiency anemia (IDA) among Chinese pregnant women. A total of 722 articles on maternal anemia during pregnancy published between January 2010 and December 2020 were compiled, and a systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted on 57 eligible studies including 1,376,204 pregnant women to ascertain the prevalence of anemia and the prevalence in different subgroups. The results showed that the prevalence of anemia, ID, and IDA among pregnant women in China were 30.7% (95% CI: 26.6%, 34.7%), 45.6% (95% CI: 37.0%, 54.2%), and 17.3% (95% CI: 13.9%, 20.7%), respectively. All prevalence increased with the progression of the pregnancy. There were sizable regional variations in the prevalence of anemia, ID, and IDA. Generally, lower prevalence was observed in the economically more advanced eastern region of the country, while the prevalence of ID was higher in the eastern region than that in the western region. The prevalence of anemia and IDA in rural areas was higher than that in urban areas, but ID prevalence was higher in urban areas. In conclusion, the regional differences and urban–rural disparities in the prevalence of anemia indicate the need for more context-specific interventions to prevent and treat anemia. It was found that dietary factors were one of the major causes of anemia, and iron-containing supplements and nutrition counseling could be effective interventions to reduce the prevalence of anemia, ID, and IDA among Chinese pregnant women. Introduction: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a disease frequently occurring in children. The immune response is characterized by T-helper (Th)-2-dependent inflammation. Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) is an autoimmune disease that destroys pancreatic islet beta cells. In contrast, it is mainly mediated by a Th-1-dependent response. An inverted association has been hypothesized between T1DM and AD since Th1 and Th2 responses are mutually inhibitory. Methods: Data was retrieved from a nationwide healthcare database in Taiwan. A logistic regression model was used to evaluate the association of T1DM in patients with AD within a year. A Cox proportional hazards analysis was used to evaluate the subsequent risk of developing T1DM 1 year after AD diagnosis. Results: We identified 396,461 patients with AD and 1,585,844 age- and sex-matched controls. During the first year of follow-up, after adjusting variates, the association between T1DM and AD showed no statistical differences (odds ratio: 1.40; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.83–2.38, p = 0.207). After excluding those T1DM cases within 1 year of AD diagnosis and those with a follow-up duration of less than 1 year, AD did not significantly increase the risk of T1DM (hazard ratio [HR]: 1.02; 95% CI, 0.83–1.25, p = 0.843). Conclusions: Our study revealed that there was no significant association between AD and T1DM in the first year after AD diagnosis, and there was no increased risk of T1DM in AD patients in the average 5-year follow-up in our study. With the adjustment of urban spatial planning and industrial layout, the requirements for the service functions of suburban railway are correspondingly increased, however, the traditional functions of the existing railway are difficult to meet the requirements of the situation. Therefore, we should deeply mine its diversified functions and find a reasonable way to achieve them and improve the comprehensive benefits of the project. Based on the spatial distribution, hub introduction, network connection of the existing railway, it is proposed that the functions include traffic reinforcement function, guidance function and city publicity function. The realization of transportation functions can be divided into two modes: direct purchase of services and technical transformation and reuse, which need to be promoted by both local government and railway administration. The realization of development function requires the establishment of a two-way interactive mechanism between the reconstruction of existing railways and land planning. Urban publicity function is realized through integration and interaction of static urban resources and dynamic urban trains.
