Apresenta-se no Artigo o resultado da Pesquisa Bibliográfica e de Campo desenvolvida durante o Curso Gestão Escolar, na Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental, do Centro de Promoção Educacional, de Apiacás-MT, a percepção das crianças, a partir dos 10 anos, sobre o que sabem dos seus direitos previstos em Lei, especialmente no ECA. Foi de suma importância a pesquisa para a Gestão Escolar rever seu Projeto Político Pedagógico, bem como a sua relação compromisso ético, cidadão com as crianças/adolescentes e seus familiares/comunidade escolar.

El trabajo de investigación tuvo como propósito establecer de qué manera la aplicación del Programa de Lectura Integral influyó en la comprensión lectora de los estudiantes en un centro preuniversitario. Se aplicó un diseño cuasiexperimental y se midió las competencias mediante la Prueba de Competencia Lectora CompLEC, en pretest y postest, a 84 estudiantes divididos en grupo control (42) y grupo experimental (42). BackgroundViscosity affects flows by increasing resistance to movement; therefore, variations in blood viscosity (BV) levels could modify the cerebral blood flow.ObjectiveThis study aimed to determine the level of correlation between BV and cerebral blood flow in people acclimated to chronic hypoxia who have high BV levels.MethodsProspective observational study was conducted among clinically healthy young adults living in the city of Cusco (3,399 m above sea level). All participants were examined at low and high shear rates (75 and 300 sec−1) to simulate the dynamic component of BV. A transcranial Doppler study of the middle cerebral artery was performed to measure systolic, diastolic, and mean flow velocities (FVs) and resistance and pulsatility indices (PIs).ResultsA total of 131 participants were included. The median viscosity levels were 5.01cP [interquartile range (IQR): 4.45–5.73cP] at 300 sec−1and 6.16 cP [IQR: 5.58-7.20 cP] at 75 sec−1, the mean FV was 57 m/s [IQR: 50–65 m/s5], and the PI was 0.91 [0.86–1.02]. BV was negatively correlated with mean FV (r: −0.17, p=0.007), while it showed no correlation with other values of blood flow, resistance, or PI.ConclusionsChanges in BV levels have a minimal impact on the mean FV but not on other parameters. This finding suggests that in young and clinically healthy individuals, there are autoregulation mechanisms that compensate for BV variations, although they are not completely understood.

Este trabalho é produto da experiência de pesquisadores/as e profissionais das áreas da Educação Física e do Serviço Social no campo do reconhecimento dos/as idosos/as como sujeitos/as de direitos e da promoção do acesso à saúde, lazer e cultura por meio da prática da dança de salão. Tem por objetivo relatar uma vivência no âmbito do Programa de Extensão Universidade da Terceira Idade (UNITERCI), especificamente no Projeto Corpo, Movimento e Qualidade de Vida na Terceira Idade, vinculado a Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA) - dando ênfase a reflexões sobre a relação entre a dança de salão e o processo de envelhecimento, e ainda, os benefícios do exercício/do movimento na dimensão biopsicossocial e no processo de ressignificação e promoção de um envelhecimento ativo e saudável. Os resultados evidenciam que a prática regular da dança de salão gera fluidez, desperta a capacidade funcional para as atividades da vida cotidiana, ativa a sensação de bem-estar, resgata lembranças de outras fases da vida, restabelece motivações para retomar e/ou continuar as atividades cotidianas diante de uma perda ou de episódios de conflito e auxilia no (re) estabelecimento da autonomia física e psíquica de mulheres e homens idosos/as. Concluiu-se que a dança de salão viabilizou possibilidades concretas para a ressignificação do processo de envelhecimento desses/as idosos/as e de suas respectivas realidades, colaborando assim, na construção de um ideário positivo/otimista da velhice em suas particularidades e em diferentes ciclos etários. La digitalización plantea una oportunidad de transformación para el sector energético, actuando como palanca de un modelo energético más sostenible y descarbonizado. La integración de tecnologías e iniciativas digitales contribuirá a que las compañías eléctricas superen los retos actuales del sector, facilitando el desarrollo de las redes inteligentes, el incremento de las renovables, la generación descentralizada y la eficiencia energética, así como cubrir las necesidades del nuevo perfil del cliente digital, que ha adquirido un papel protagonista. Para ello, las compañías están desarrollando nuevos modelos de negocio, incorporando nuevos productos y rediseñando sus estrategias competitivas. Asimismo, están inmersas en un cambio integral, el desarrollo de una cultura corporativa que permita introducir la digitalización en toda la organización. Para lograrlo, resultará imprescindible potenciar el talento interno, así como la creación de un ecosistema de innovación abierta, con empresas, universidades, etc., impulsando una educación de calidad, que permitan entender las necesidades de las personas y la sociedad en su conjunto.

El propósito de la investigación fue establecer si existía asociación entre la percepción de la calidad del servicio educativo y el nivel académico de los estudiantes de una universidad pública. La muestra no probabilística estuvo constituida por 91 estudiantes, quienes respondieron la Escala SERVPERF, diseñada para evaluar la percepción de la calidad de servicio educativo. El nivel académico se obtuvo promediando las calificaciones de las asignaturas cursadas del ciclo 2019-I. El resultado general evidenció que entre la percepción del servicio educativo no tuvo asociación directa y significativa con el nivel académico del alumnado. La explicación teórica sugiere que la varianza del nivel académico se debe a otros factores, y poco tiene que ver con la calidad percibida del servicio educativo.

Introduction: The role of primary chemotherapy in breast cancer is well established and has positively impacted the number of conservative surgeries. However, for effective locoregional control, it is necessary for complete resection of the residual tumor, with histopathological free margins. Preoperative evaluation of the residual tumor is essential. A clinical examination is impaired due to tissue alterations induced by chemotherapy, and the use of imaging methods had conflicting results. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the agreement between the ultrasound measurement and the histopathological measurement of the residual tumor in breast cancer patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted comparing the average and other measures of dispersion of the echographic and histopathological measurements of the residual tumor. Additionally, we compared the average and other measures of dispersion of the individual differences between the echographic and histopathological measurements of the residual tumor. The scenario was a quaternary hospital in Rio de Janeiro where breast cancer patients were treated. Results: The average ultrasound measurement was 18 mm (95%CI 13.75–22.25), with a median of 16. The average histopathological measurement was 16 mm (95%CI 11.62–20.38), with a median of 12. The average of the individual differences between the echographic and histopathological measurements of the residual tumor was 2 mm (95%CI 0.38–4.38), with a median of 2 mm. Conclusion: Ultrasonography is an effective tool in the preoperative evaluation of breast cancer patients undergoing primary chemotherapy.

The semicrystalline protein structure and impressive mechanical properties of major ampullate (MA) spider silk make it a promising natural alternative to polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers for carbon fiber manufacture. However, when annealed using a similar procedure to carbon fiber production, the tensile strength and Young’s modulus of MA silk decrease. Despite this, MA silk fibers annealed at 600 °C remain stronger and tougher than similarly annealed PAN but have a lower Young’s modulus. Although MA silk and PAN graphitize to similar extents, annealing disrupts the hydrogen bonding that controls crystal alignment within MA silk. Consequently, unaligned graphite crystals form in annealed MA silk, causing it to weaken, while graphite crystals in PAN maintain alignment along the fiber axis, strengthening the fibers. These shortcomings of spider silk when annealed provide insights into the selection and design of future alternative carbon fiber precursors.

The objective of this work is to present the use of video games for mobile devices applied to learning process of children at preschool level using Markov chains. In this work, study goals stated by the Mexican Ministry of Education were reviewed at the preschool level and some educators were interviewed to determine main key goals. On the other hand, the use of mobile technologies by infants is currently common in urban areas and medium to low use in rural areas. From the above, it was proposed to develop some applications that strengthen the learning of official content at the preschool level. However, an always difficult task is to determine and evaluate the level of learning in the video game a Markov chain was proposed. The main contribution of this work is the use of artificial intelligence techniques to evaluate the learning of official contents using mobile devices.

The objective of this work is the creation of tools for learning the English language using augmented reality and humanoid robots, in order to interact with people autonomously in the learning process. For this, the contents of the English language programs and programs at the higher level were reviewed, language area heads and teachers were interviewed, in order to finish cable issues in language learning. At present, having a second language in the field of education today is considered a necessity. Currently, higher level institutions use English language learning techniques based on books, flash-cards, slides, audios, videos, etc. From the above it is proposed to develop learning tools capable of interacting with users autonomously. This leads to solving major learning problems using human computer and robotic human interaction. What is presented are two tools for learning the English language, the first based on augmented reality and the second using Nao humanoid robot.

Background: Viscosity affects flows by increasing resistance to movement, therefore, blood viscosity (BV) could modify the pulsatility index (PI). Objectives: To determine the correlation between BV and PI. Design and setting: A cross-sectional study was conducted in clinically healthy young adults residing in Cusco (a city located at 3399 masl). Methods: A venous blood sample was taken to determine their BV levels, and a transcranial Doppler of right middle cerebral artery (R-MCA) was performed, with which the min, maximum and mean flow velocity (MFV), resistance and pulsatility indices (PI) were obtained. The BV levels were measured in centipoises (cP) using acone-plate viscometer at 40RPM. We present medians with interquartile ranges (IQR), the correlation was evaluated using the Spearman test. Results: 42 participants were included, 25 women (60%), the mean age was 26.2±5.5 years. The median of BV was 5.08cP [IQR: 4.55-5.77cP], the MFV was 56 m/s [IQR: 49- 61 m/s], and the PI was 0.94 [0.85-1.02]. BV was positively correlated with PI (r:0.38, p=0.045) and negatively with MFV (r: -0.37, p=0.011) Conclusions: The increase in blood viscosity has a small but significant impact on cerebral vascular resistance (PI) and its fluxes (MFV) in clinically healthy and young people. This could have a role in the pathogenesis of cerebral infarction in the elderly. The results presented here are preliminary and we intend to gather more data and increasing our number of participants.

Introduction: Metastatic involvement of axillary lymph nodes in patients with breast cancer is an important prognostic factor and it also has therapeutic implications. Nevertheless, the use of ultrasound for evaluating axillary lymph node status has been questioned. Objective: Evaluate the performance of ultrasound with core needle biopsy in the diagnosis of axillary metastasis. Patients and Method: A diagnostic validation study was performed to compare axillary ultrasound with core biopsy versus the surgical procedure. The scenario was a quaternary hospital in Rio de Janeiro where breast cancer patients were treated. The surgical procedure was the gold standard. Performance was assessed by calculating sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and estimated nodal disease burden. Result: Specificity and positive predictive values were 100% for the presence of axillary metastasis. The false negative rate was only 1.69% with a negative predictive value of 98.31% for the involvement of three or more lymph nodes. Conclusion: Axillary ultrasound with core needle biopsy shows excellent performance in assessing axillary metastatic impairment in patients with breast cancer, proving to be an effective tool in different clinical contexts.

El Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española (SIELE), cuenta con un examen de certificación que se elabora bajo un estricto procedimiento de estandarización en la realización de las tareas que componen el examen, basado en varios documentos entre los que destaca el Plan curricular del Instituto Cervantes (PCIC). Al consultar con frecuencia dicho instrumento, para verificar si el léxico es adecuado para los niveles de A1 a C1 del Marco Común Europeo de Referencia (MCER), se hace evidente una diferencia entre el léxico del español de México y España; además de que hay palabras colocadas en niveles que no corresponden y algunas más, que son fundamentales en la adquisición de nuestra lengua, que no aparecen registradas. En este artículo presento algunas de las diferencias y su propuesta de cambio o de integración del léxico del nivel A1 del PCIC, en relación con el vocabulario de la colección Dicho y Hecho. Español como lengua extranjera, del Centro de Enseñanza para Extranjeros.

La práctica pedagógica sistemática en la educación preescolar ha evidenciado un trabajo insuficiente con el contenido Personalidades Históricas al no existir una metodología que oriente al docente cómo implementarlo en el proceso educativo. Por tal motivo este trabajo tiene como objetivo proponer orientaciones metodológicas generales para dar tratamiento a este contenido en el proceso educativo de la primera infancia en las modalidades institucional y no institucional.
