Abstract

Given the low plugging success rate of existing plugging agents in oilfield applications, this study proposed a new selective plugging agent system (SA-1-S) with a high plugging efficiency, which dissolves in oil and releases oil flow channels under formation temperature conditions. Being insoluble in water and acid, it blocks water flow channels. In particular, at ambient temperature of 25 °C and reservoir temperature of 65 °C, the dissolution rate of SA-1-S particles in formation crude oil, kerosene, and diesel oil exceeded 96%, being suitable for formations at temperatures below 120 °C∼130 °C. The proposed agent's plugging rate exceeded 90% on cores and 80% under reverse kerosene action; this rate dropped under forward scouring by 2.01 ∼ 3.21%. The selective water plugging agent proposed in this paper has application prospects in improving the oil recovery in high water-bearing oil wells. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

37. Relay-Assisted Partial Packet Recovery with IDMA Method in CDMA Wireless Network

Abstract

Automatic Repeat Request (ARQ) is an effective technique for reliable transmission of packets in wireless networks. In ARQ, however, only a few erroneous bits in a packet will cause the entire packet to be discarded at the receiver. In this case, it's wasteful to retransmit the correct bit in the received packet. The partial packet recovery only retransmits the unreliable decoded bits in order to increase the throughput of network. In addition, the cooperative transmission based on Interleave-division multiple-access (IDMA) can obtain diversity gains with multiple relays with different locations for multiple sources simultaneously. By exploring the diversity from the channel between relay and destination, we propose a relay-assisted partial packet recovery in CDMA wireless network to improve the performance of throughput. In the proposed scheme, asynchronous IDMA iterative chip-by-chip multiuser detection is utilized as a method of multiple partial recovery, which can be a complementarity in a current CDMA network. The confidence values' concept is applied to detect unreliable decoded bits. According to the result of unreliable decoded bits' position, we use a recursive algorithm based on cost evaluation to decide a feedback strategy. Then the feedback request with minimum cost can be obtained. The simulation results show that the performance of throughput can be significantly improved with our scheme, compared with traditional ARQ scheme. The upper bound with our scheme is provided in our simulation. Moreover, we show how relays' location affects the performance.

Abstract

Continuous nanofiber yarns were prepared using the electro-blown and hanging yarn process. Unlike typical electrospinning devices, this method uniquely controls the spinning process to induce the hanging phenomenon, and the resulting hanging yarn is twisted to form nanofiber yarns. A polyvinylidene fluoride nanofiber yarn was successfully prepared using the electro-blown and hanging yarn process. Scanning electron microscopy observations confirmed that the nanofibers prepared by this method exhibited good orientation within the yarn. The results indicate that the conductivity of the polymer solution and the applied voltage are crucial for inducing the hanging yarn process, ensuring stable continuous spinning. A possible mechanism is proposed, suggesting that adjusting the solution's conductivity and controlling the spinning voltage can utilize defects in the yarn-hanging process during spinning to prepare nanofiber yarns. 47. Global-feature of autoimmune glomerulonephritis using proteomic analysis of laser capture microdissected glomeruli

Abstract

Background IgA nephropathy (IgAN), (LN), membranous nephropathy (MN), and minimal change nephropathy (MCN) are all belonged to autoimmune glomerulonephritis. This study aimed to identify the specific proteomic characteristics of the four GNs diseases in order to provide frameworks for developing the appropriate drug for patients diagnosed with GNs disease. Methods Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) was utilized to investigate proteomic features of glomerular tissues obtained by laser capture microdissection (LCM). 8 normal control cases, 11 IgAN cases, 19 LN cases, 5 MN cases, and 3 MCN cases in this study were selected for bioinformatics analyses. Results The shared overlapping proteins among the top 100 DEPs of each GNs type were mostly downregulated, in which only FLII was significantly downregulated in the four GNs diseases. A2M was significantly upregulated in MN, IgAN, and LN subgroups. The pathway of complement and coagulation cascades was notably activated with NES value ranging 2.77 to 3.39 among MCN, MN, IgAN, and LN diseases, but the pattern of protein expression level were significantly different. In LN patients, the increased activity of complement and coagulation cascades was contributed by the high expression of multiple complements (C1QB, C3, C4A, C4B, C6, C8B, C8G, C9). Meanwhile, both C1QC and C4B were remarkably upregulated in MN patients. On the contrary, complement-regulating proteins (CD59) was substantially decreased in MCN and IgAN subgroup. ConclusionsThe integrative proteomics analysis of the four GNs diseases provide insights into unique characteristics of GNs diseases and further serve as frameworks for precision medicine diagnosis and provide novel targets for drug development.
