This paper explores the integration of data within digital twin-driven multiscale manufacturing systems, examining the core characteristics of data flows in digital twin (DT) environments tailored to manufacturing. In DT frameworks, data are inherently bidirectional, automated, and real-time, which are critical for maintaining the operational integrity of interconnected manufacturing subsystems. Different scales (from machine tool focus to supply chains) and timelines (from operations events to long term planning) make manufacturing system operation complex. This in turn means data integration across these scales and timelines is inherently complex. This study focuses on the dynamics of data flows in DT-driven manufacturing systems that support both forward and backward communication across DT modules and the central DT platform. The overall DT data scheme manages the supervision and cataloging of actions, which includes technical data related to machinery, processes, resources, and rules, alongside performance metrics across various scales and levels over time. A case study of a DT-driven manufacturing unit illustrates the data flow and interdependency in DT data framework. It highlights how data integration across multiple manufacturing stages can improve operational efficiency, fault diagnosis, and resource optimisation. This study lays the groundwork for the implementation of DT in complex, multiscale manufacturing systems by providing an extendible structured framework.

Supply chain integration (SCI) has been considered an antecedent of sustainability performance (SP) by some studies; however, empirical findings on the nexus between SCI and SP in the existing literature are inconsistent. The study aims to provide an extensive literature review on the SCI–SP relationship. We propose a conceptual research framework to investigate the SCI–SP relationship with consideration of the effects of contextual moderators. A meta-analysis is adopted to analyse the sample of 60 selected empirical papers focusing on this relationship. The results provide evidence of a positive relationship between SCI and SP, which is affected by the two types of moderating variables: operationalisation of SP construct and control variables (industry sector, economic development, and the country's logistics capabilities). We find that SCI has the greatest impact on economic SP and the lowest impact on social SP. The SCI–SP relationship is more robust in the service industry than in the manufacturing industry. When a country's logistics capabilities increase, SCI's influence on SP becomes weaker. The results of this study are drawn from extant empirical research, and thus the validity and reliability of these findings rely on the validity and reliability of the original studies. This study is the first meta-analysis to examine the vital relationship between SCI and SP and adopted a country's logistics capabilities as a moderator. The calligraphy on Xuan paper written by Cao Hongxun, who was a scholar at the end of the Qing Dynasty, was comprehensively characterized using various analytical techniques in order to provide support for further conservation. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy was used to identify the type of oil in the stains. The color difference, acidity, microstructure and elemental composition of the paper areas with and without the oil stains were analyzed and characterized using colorimetry, pH measurements, and scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectrometry (SEM-EDS), respectively. Paper fibers were observed using SEM and an optical microscope after dying with Herzberg stain. The results demonstrate that the stain in this paper artifact is mineral oil and the paper was produced using softwood, paper mulberry and herb fibers. A large color difference, lower pH and changes in the carbon ratio were present in the oil stains. However, the stains did not affect the elemental composition of the paper. Overall, this study provides evidence for further conservation treatment, such as selecting proper paper and cleaning reagents for the stains. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Chemodynamic therapy (CDT) generating hydroxyl radicals (•OH) by utilizing metal ions reacting with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a highly encouraging strategy for cancer treatment. However, highly expressed GSH in tumor cells severely limits the efficacy of CDT, and CDT alone is also not sufficient to produce excellent antitumor efficiency. Herein, a dual GSH depletion nanosystem (MnO2@PDA@PEG@DOX) was designed and synthesized to achieve synergistic cancer treatment under ultrasound (US) irritation. To achieve an acidic response, dopamine (DA) was loaded onto manganese dioxide, and the water solubility and stability were greatly improved after PEG modification; finally, the loading of doxorubicin (DOX) achieved the combinational therapy. When the nanoparticles arrived at the tumor site, the acidic and high expression of GSH in the tumor microenvironment prompted the degrading of the nanosystem, followed by the release of MnO2 and DOX. The released MnO2 can react with intracellular GSH to produce Mn2+, which realizes chemodynamic therapy by catalyzing H2O2 to generate highly toxic hydroxyl radicals (•OH) at the tumor site; also, the depletion of GSH will significantly promote the level of •OH, improving the efficiency of CDT simultaneously. Moreover, the release of DOX could be boosted by US irradiation, thus enhancing the effect of chemotherapy on DOX and achieving sonodynamic therapy (SDT). Therefore, strategies to enhance CDT efficiency by dual GSH depletion and combining chemotherapy and sonodynamic therapy modalities can provide more ideas and approaches for combination therapy in cancer treatment. The durability of wooden heritage objects and sites can be affected by external environmental factors, leading to decay, cracking, and other forms of deterioration, which might ultimately result in significant and irreversible loss. In this study, a FEVE resin was modified with Ag2O/OH-MWCNTS (MA), denoted as MAF, where three concentrations were prepared using in situ precipitation, and the resulting composite adhesive was characterized by a high viscosity and effective bacteriostatic properties, demonstrating a better viscosity and thermal stability, as well as antibacterial properties, than pure FEVE resin. The results show that MAF adhesives present good thermal stability, as evidenced by a lower mass loss rate following treatment at 800 °C compared to the pure FEVE resin. At a consistent shear rate, the viscosity of MAF demonstrates a notable increase with the proportion of MA, which is better than that of FEVE. This suggests that the nano-Ag2O particles in MA act as physical crosslinking agents in FEVE, improving the viscosity of the composite adhesive MAF. The adhesion strength between MAF and wood exhibits a similar trend, with wooden samples showing higher shear strengths as the proportion of MA increases in comparison to FEVE. Simultaneously, the antibacterial effects of the MAF adhesive exceeded 1 mm for Trichoderma, Aspergillus niger, and white rot fungi. The antibacterial activity of the MAF adhesive exhibited a direct correlation with the concentration of Ag2O/OH-MWCNTS, with the most pronounced inhibitory effect observed on Trichoderma. The MAF adhesive demonstrates promising prospects as an adhesive for wooden heritage artifacts, offering a novel approach for the rapid, environmentally friendly, and efficient development of composite adhesives with superior adhesive properties. The research on the genetic predisposition of key quality traits of fruit in jujube hybrid populations is a fundamental and crucial aspect in the field of jujube genetic breeding. In this study, the jujube hybridization experiments were conducted with the same female parent and different male parents since 2015, and a total of 238 strains were created in two F1 hybrid populations. The genetic variation of fruit external traits and intrinsic quality was analyzed and compared after the hybrid offspring results were stable in 2022. This study can provide a theoretical basis for selecting hybrid-breeding parents, predicting offspring traits, and innovating excellent germplasm resources by investigating the impact of different male parental configurations on the genetic variation of fruit traits in jujube hybrid offspring and identifying superior germplasm resources. The results showed that the inheritance of fruit shape, fruit size, and fruit-intrinsic nutrition-quality traits were quantitative traits controlled by multiple genes, and the offspring populations conformed to normal distribution or partial normal distribution. The six traits of fruit shape in offspring populations exhibited a segregation from their parents. The coefficients of variation of fruit size and intrinsic nutrition quality values ranged from 6.94% to 35.34%. Five intrinsic nutrition-quality traits exhibited significant separation at the super-parental level. This result indicated a rich genetic diversity in offspring traits in two hybrids offsprings. The fruit shape, fruit size, and titratable acidity of jujube hybrid offspring were mainly influenced by the male parent. It was found that the correlation between the single-fruit weight, length, and diameter, as well as the correlation between the fruit length and fruit transverse diameter, was very stable and significantly positive through the correlation analysis. More attention should be paid to fruit length when studying fruit shape, as a significant correlation was found between fruit length and fruit shape index. Finally, 10 superior hybrids were founded and selected as breeding materials for further breeding. Therefore, this study provides a theoretical basis for the early selection of hybrid breeding and the development and application of jujube germplasm resources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
