2. Learning Effective Representations for Person-Job Fit by Feature Fusion

Abstract

Person-job fit is to match candidates and job posts on online recruitment platforms using machine learning algorithms. The effectiveness of matching algorithms heavily depends on the learned representations for the candidates and job posts. In this paper, we propose to learn comprehensive and effective representations of the candidates and job posts via feature fusion. First, in addition to applying deep learning models for processing the free text in resumes and job posts, which is adopted by existing methods, we extract semantic entities from the whole resume (and job post) and then learn features for them. By fusing the features from the free text and the entities, we get a comprehensive representation for the information explicitly stated in the resume and job post. Second, however, some information of a candidate or a job may not be explicitly captured in the resume or job post. Nonetheless, the historical applications including accepted and rejected cases can reveal some implicit intentions of the candidates or recruiters. Therefore, we propose to learn the representations of implicit intentions by processing the historical applications using LSTM. Last, by fusing the representations for the explicit and implicit intentions, we get a more comprehensive and effective representation for person-job fit. Experiments over 10 months real data show that our solution outperforms existing methods with a large margin. Ablation studies confirm the contribution of each component of the fused representation. Abstract

We have uncovered that the non-equilibrium network dynamics and global properties are determined by two essential features: the potential landscape and the flux landscape. We have found that the funneled potential landscape is crucial for the stability of the states on the cell cycle, however, the stabilities of the oscillation states cannot guarantee the stable directional flows. We have uncovered that the funneled flux landscape is important for the emergence and maintenance of the stable limit cycle oscillation flow. This work will allow us to identify the key factors and structure elements of the networks in determining the stability, speed and robustness of the fission yeast cell cycle oscillations. We see that the nonequilibriumness characterized by the degree of detailed balance breaking from the energy pump quantified by the flux is the cause of the energy dissipation for initiating and sustaining the replications essential for the origin and evolution of life. Abstract

Anthropogenic activities lead to the increase of atmospheric nitrogen and sulfur deposition and many adverse ecological effects. Quantitative input of atmospheric nitrogen and sulfur deposition can provide reference for nutrient management of nitrogen and sulfur in farmland. In recent years, the national air cleaning action has had a great impact on the emission of atmospheric active nitrogen and sulfur, but there are few studies on the comprehensive deposition of nitrogen and sulfur in the agricultural area of North China. In this study, the concentrations of atmospheric NH3, NO2 and SO2 were collected in the agricultural area of northern Henan Province, and the seasonal variation of concentrations of PNO3-, PNH4+ and PSO42- in atmospheric PM2.5 was studied, and the dry deposition of atmospheric nitrogen and sulfur was quantified. Atmospheric rainfall was collected to obtain atmospheric wet deposition of nitrogen and sulfur. The results showed that the average concentrations of NH3, NO2 and SO2 are 13.9 µg/m³, 10.38 μg/m³ and 4.1 μg/m³, respectively. The concentration of PM2.5 in the atmosphere is 61.3~110.8 µg /m³, which is higher in autumn and winter, and lower in summer. The proportion of total inorganic ions of PNO3-, PNH4+ and PSO42- to PM2.5 in four seasons were 15.0%, 37.0%, 29.8% and 37.0%, respectively. PNO3- has the largest proportion in PM2.5 in autumn and winter. The annual wet deposition of nitrate nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen and sulfur were 11.5, 8.07 and 14.36 kg/hm², respectively. The annual dry deposition of nitrogen and sulfur was 21.39 kg/hm² and 6.15 kg / hm², respectively. The annual atmospheric sulfur deposition was lower than the nutrient absorption of wheat and maize, which indicated that applying sulfur fertilizer might increase crop yield. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The formation of C(sp3)-centered radicals via the electro--induced homolysis of 4-alkyl-1,4-dihydropyridines (alkyl-DHPs) is reported. The resulting alkyl radicals reacted with 4-hydroxyquinazolines or quinones to afford 2-alkyldihydroquinazolinones or alkylated quinones. A broad range of alkyl DHPs could be used as versatile radical precursors under electrolysis conditions. This alterative strategy provided a simple and effective pathway for the construction of C(sp2)–C(sp3) and C(sp3)–C(sp3) bonds under mild conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Alkylated heteroarenes are widely found in bioactive molecules and pharmaceuticals. Therefore, there is great interest in developing a chemoselective alkylation of heteroarenes under mild conditions, particularly during a late-stage functionalization step for the purpose of rapid derivatization. Herein, we introduce an efficient visible-light-promoted C–H alkylation of nitrogen-containing heteroarenes by using C4-alkyl 1,4-dihydropyridines (DHPs) as radical precursors at ambient temperatures. A broad scope of heteroarenes, such as 4-hydroxyquinazoline and its derivatives, including those bearing electron-donating or electron-withdrawing groups, can be successfully alkylated in good yields by using various C4-alkyl DHPs. Abstract

Electro-induced reduction of redox active esters and N-phthalimidoyl oxalates derived from naturally abundant carboxylic acids and alcohols provides a sustainable and inexpensive approach to radical formation via undivided electrochemical cells. The resulting radicals are trapped by an electron-poor olefin or hydrogen atom source to furnish the Giese reaction or reductive decarboxylation products, respectively. A broad range of carboxylic acid (1°, 2°, and 3°) and alcohol (2° and 3°) derivatives are applicable in this catalyst-free reaction, which tolerated a diverse range of functional groups.
