- Abstract
The objective of this study was to produce organic fodder based on corn and Yorimón beanas an alternative to conventional fodders in the Lagunera Region. The experiment was conducted in the spring-summer cycle from April to August 2017. In each useful plot, three cornplantsand three Yorimón beanplants were harvested, which were finely chopped and mixed to form a balanced compound of which one kilogramwas used for bromatological analyses. A randomizedblock design with four repetitions was used. In the CPof organic and inorganic fodders, no significant differences were observed (p>0.05) and the values found were within the optimal values for cows in production. CP correlated positively with TDNand NEL(p<0.01). The quality of the fodder combined between corn and Yorimón beanshowed that it is an alternative to conventional fodders, El objetivo de este estudio fue producir forraje orgánico a base de maíz y frijol Yorimón como alternativa a los forrajes convencionales en la Región Lagunera.

- Abstract
Sunflower hybrids that have oil with high oleic acid content (Olisun 1, Olisun 2, Sabritas 1, Hybrid 1, Hybrid 2 and Hybrid 3) were evaluated in the environments of Venecia, Durango and Durango, Durango in the 2010 Spring-Summer cycle, and in Venecia, Durango in the 2011 Spring-Summer cycle, under a randomized complete block design with four replicates. Analysis of stability parameters revealed significant differences (p<0.05) among hybrids for oleic acid content. For grain yield, hybrid 1 was superior (p<0.05) to the other hybrids evaluated. The Eberhart and Russell model for the variables oleic acid and yield classified the hybrids as stable, with the exception of the hybrid Sabritas 1 that had significant deviation of the regression that classified it as inconsistent.

- Abstract
The work was carried out in two stages. In the first, the crosses were formed in the Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro Unidad Laguna experimental field (UAAAN-UL), and in the second the evaluation was carried out in the UAAAN-UL experimental field in the spring and summer agricultural cyles, and in the Niagara ejido, in the municipality of Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, in the spring. The genetic material was 17 inbred lines, four from UAAAN-UL, two from INIFAP and 11 from CIMMYT. The objective was to estimate the general combining ability (GCA) and the specific combining ability (SCA) of the lines, and to quantify the genetic effects and heterosis of the crosses. For GCA, the male lines that stood out were LAN-388P, LB-32 and LB-40, and the female lines were CML-319, CML-318 and CML-278; for SCA, the highest values were obtained by the crosses LAN-123xCML-278 (3.28 t ha-1), LAN-123xCML-318 (1.9 t ha-1), LB-40xCML-319 (1.7 t ha-1) and LAN-388PxCML-264 (1.52 t ha-1), while the best grain yield was obtained by the crosses LB-40xCML-319 (14.49 t ha-1), LB-32xCML-319 (14.17 t ha-1), LAN-388PxCML-264 (13.68 t ha-1), LAN-123xCML-278 (13.55 t ha-1) and LAN-388PxCML-278 (13.44 t ha-1). The dominance variance exceeded the additive variance in grain yield (GY) and in the main yield components.

- Abstract
The objective of this study was to determine the combining ability, heterosis, and best single crosses of corn. In 2006, 144 single-crosses were formed by the inter-crossing of 24 inbred lines. Of these, 12 lines were used as females and 12 as males. The lines were evaluated using a random block design with two replications, in the S-S cycle in 2007 in Torreon, Coahuila, and in the El Niagara Ejido in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The variables evaluated were grain yield, its components and male plants flowering. Analyses were performed using the North Carolina II genetic mating design. Male progenitors L-AN 447 y LB-40 and female progenitors CML-313 y CML-278 formed hybrids with greater grain yield, with lines L-AN 44, CML-264 (males), CML-313, CML-273 and CML-321 (females) displaying the highest GCA effects. The highest specific combining ability for grain yield was observed in crosses L-AN 360PV x CML-311, LB-40 x BANDA, L-AN 447 x CML-278, LB-39 x CML-314, CML-319 x CML-273 and CML-264 x CML-321, while crosses L-AN 360 PV x CML-311 and LB-40 x BANDA had a heterosis of 21 %., El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la aptitud combinatoria, la heterosis e identificar las mejores cruzas simples de maíz.

- Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the general combining ability (GCA) of 24 lines and the specific combining ability (SCA) of the obtained crosses. The study took place in two stages: 1) the formation of the crosses in the experimental field of the Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro-Unidad Laguna (UAAAN-UL) and 2) the evaluation of the crosses in two localities with three environments in 2007, in the experimental field of the UAAAN-UL during the Spring and Summer, and in the communal land of El Niagara, municipality of Aguascalientes, in the Spring. The genetic material used consisted of 24 inbred lines, seven from the UAAAN-UL programme, three from the INIFAP and 14 from the CIMMYT. The crosses were evaluated in a random block experimental design with two replicates per locality. The genetic analysis followed the North Carolina mating design ll of Comstock & Robinson. The results indicated that the male parents L-AN 447 (1408 kg ha-1), CML-264 (247 kg ha-1) and L-AN-388P (222 kg ha-1) recorded the greatest effects of GCA, whereas for the SCA, the greatest effects were observed in the crosses L-AN360PVxCML-311 (3,456 kg ha-1), LB-39xCML-314 (2,395 kg ha-1) and L-AN447xCML-278 (2,270 kg ha-1). The additive variance for yield was 0.04, exceeding the non-additive variance of 0.014. The heritability in a broad sense was 4 % and in a narrow sense it was 3 %, with a degree of dominance of 0.83. The chili pepper is a very important plant used worldwide as a vegetable, as a spice, and as an external medicine. In this work, eight different varieties of Capsicum annuum L. have been characterized by their capsaicinoids content. The chili pepper fruits were cultivated in the Comarca Lagunera region in North of Mexico. The qualitative and quantitative determination of the major and minor capsaicinoids; alkaloids responsible for the pungency level, has been performed by a validated chromatographic procedure (HPLC-DAD) after a preliminary drying step and an opportune extraction procedure. Concentrations of total capsaicinoids varied from a not detectable value for Bell pepper to 31.84 mg
g-1 dried weight for Chiltepín. Samples were obtained from plants grown in experimental field and in greenhouse without temperature control, in order to evaluate temperature effect. Analysis of the two principal capsaicinoids in fruits showed that the amount of dihydrocapsaicin was always higher than capsaicin. In addition, our results showed that the content of total capsaicinoids for the varieties Serrano, Puya, Ancho, Guajillo and Bell pepper were increased with high temperature, while the content of total capsaicinoids and Scoville heat units (SHU) for the varieties De árbol and Jalapeño decreased. However, the pungency values found in this study were higher for all varieties analyzed than in other studies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published
