Currently, most tourist destinations in the world are establishing strategies to develop the culinary identity of their territories and to promote local cuisine, based on the fact that gastronomy can have a great influence on the decisions of tourists in choosing tourist destinations. Therefore, the gastronomic specificity of a destination can attract tourists interested in authenticity, specificity and new experiences from a gastronomic point of view. The gastronomic businesses are some of the most successful businesses, and this is due to a constant demand, which is based on ensuring the need for food. In Romania, the concept of local gastronomic point was recently introduced. The purpose of the local gastronomic points is the integration of gastronomy and tourism in order to support the local economy. The local gastronomic points can be seen as an invitation to discover the local products, prepared in the Romanian rural kitchens. The local gastronomic points meet the gourmets, the people interested in gastronomic experiences, eager to know and enjoy the specific dishes of the local cuisine, the traditions and customs of the locals, the culture of food preparation. The gastronomic heritage on the Romanian territory is rich and varied, and represents an element of the Romanian cultural identity. Gastronomy, as part of the national cultural profile can be an engine in the development of the local economy, through local gastronomic points, and involves the practice of gastronomic tourism. In this article, the authors aim to present the current situation of local gastronomic points in Romania and their importance in the development of gastronomic tourism.

The paper presents an analysis of investments as the safest prospect for economic growth. In Romania, investments are needed to recover the economic gaps as compared to the European Union countries, but also to reduce the differences between regions. Sustainable development of the country must solve the challenges of the transition from the industrial to the digital economy, of adapting and confronting climate change, of demographic change, to which the corrections of economic imbalances due to the consumption-based growth model must be added. Investments can be made by the business environment (large companies, consortia, multinationals) operating in Romania. Investments can also be made through projects that are funded from the European Union budget. Investment stimulates job-creating economic sectors that will generate economic growth. First of all, the investments must be financed by allocating funds through domestic possibilities, to which the attraction of foreign direct investments is added. An important role in this regard belongs to the legislative framework, which determines the removal of barriers for investment, but also to the attraction of Romania's economy which is different from one economic sector to another. In the article, the authors presented the main aspects of investments and aimed to highlight the effect of investments on the business environment.

There is an emergent trend for the protection of geographical indication (GI) of medicinal plants, herbs and teas not only in the context of intellectual property rights, but also due to multiple concerns regarding contamination from polluted air, soil and water in some source countries, climate change, quality control and traceability. The mineral content coupled with chemometrics can be used to create elemental fingerprints. Lime flower (Tilia cordata), chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), and Lady�s Bedstraw (Galium verum L.) of different provenience were used as plant material in this study. XRF spectrometry has been used for the determination of the mineral content of dry herbs. The results were compared with metal content values presented in different research papers and data bases and the elemental fingerprints of herbs were elaborated. Elemental fingerprints coupled with chemometrics can be used not only to evaluate the quality of herbs and teas, but also to authenticate the narrow-geographic origins of the plant material.

The adoption of sustainable waste management strategies is a challenge faced by most European countries, mainly due to the need to generate less waste and replace landfills with new methods of waste treatment, associated with increases in the separate collection of waste and recycling rates. This paper highlights the significance of environmental legislation regarding waste removal to protect ecosystems. The aim was to predict ecological responses to heavy metals in soil exposed to hazardous waste and to identify environmental hazards in landfills, small illegal waste dumps, and litter, in addition to identifying if heavy metal accumulation in the investigated soil samples showed a single or cumulative risk. This is an innovative method to predict the ecological risk generated by hazardous waste landfills. The assessment of ecological risks was based on the evaluation of a heavy metal soil contamination factor, pollution index of soil loadings, a geo-accumulation index for heavy metals, and potential ecological risk. The current study is also the first to attempt to identify the dimension of risk based on the type of waste deposit (landfill, small illegal waste dump, and litter) and to identify potential patterns. The geological index corresponding to cadmium Igeo(Cd) showed heavy contamination in the soil samples from the landfill and moderate contamination for those from the illegal waste dumps. These findings indicate that soil contamination is influenced by contamination time, anthropogenic processes, and a history of industrial activity, and not only by waste composition and storage. The present study shows that cadmium might be considered a latent fingerprint for waste disposal, which is correlated to the industrialization level and rehabilitation procedures.

The aim of the study was to assess the level of contamination of soil with strontium, rubidium and scandium in the solid waste deposits. The study was performed on soil samples collected from Moldova Noua, southwest of Romania, an area with historical anthropogenic history. The soil analysis was performed using X-ray fluorescence (XRF). The samples were collected from five collection points using a random pattern from around the illegal waste deposit and all analyses were performed in triplicate. To assess the influence of wastes on the soils concentration levels of strontium (Sr), rubidium (Rb) and scandium (Sc), were calculated contamination factors (CF), and pollution index (PIL) by reporting the concentration of the investigated elements of the upper earth crust concentrations and geo-accumulation index (Igeo) calculated by reporting the elements concentration values to a control sample, used as reference. The reference sample was collected from an area close to the waste deposit but located in a protected green area. The results show that from the investigated elements, scandium is the element of concern, the soil presenting a moderate contamination level with this element.

The aim of the this study is to present a combined view of bio – geo - chemistry, soil – plant interactions, mathematic models and statistic analysis, based on the correlation between the levels of soil contamination, and the remanence of polluting substances in soil and respectively in harvested fruits and vegetables. Most of the mathematical models which describe plant - soil interactions are integrated in plant growth models or climate change models. The models presented by this paper are Soil – Plant Interaction Models, Pollution Indices, The Indices for Evaluating the Adaptative Strategies of Plants and Chemo-metrical Methods, and they have the role to synthesize and evaluate the information regarding heavy metals contamination.

Georgia, the country at the intersection of Europe and Asia, is an important actor on agricultural market, both from Europe and from Asia. The climate of Georgia makes it ideal for growing cereals for animal productions. This climate and the high quality of soil have made the agriculture one of the most important Georgian sectors. The mixed team of researchers from Georgia and Romania has analysed the dynamics of livestock and animal productions in Georgia in order to highlight their future trends and the level of food security in that country.

This paper aims to identify the main causes that led to the decrease of high school graduates who continue their university studies. This approach is based on content analysis of statistical data regarding the evolution of the school population in Romanian education. Due to the analysis, the number of high school graduates declined in 2008-2012 by 14.06% while the number of tertiary graduates decreased by 41.31%. Conclusions drawn are reducing the number of high school graduates due to the country's low birth rate and poor high school graduation exam. Also, the low number of graduates with tertiary education is the result of decreasing interest of high school graduates to continue their studies.

At present, the action mentioned in CE documents for promoting the quality are considered priorities able to offer visibility and equilibrium. They are not enough also for development of the European economical competence, as they should be accompanied all the time by complementary activities concerning development of: innovation, research, education and instruction in quality management. Any type of politics that concerns the development of the European economical competence must be accompanied also by a revision of the legislative activities of institutions belonging to the countries members of the community, which must allow the permanent adjustment of legislation to the actual requests of the European Union market. The permanent changing and the necessity to assure the management of this changing based on a continuous improvement, generates the need that industry and public authority should make continuously adequate researches in the field of quality management methods, with the aim to gain and maintain the competitive advantage. Through innovation and design, one can assure the competence of an alimentary product, both of them must be taken into consideration in elaboration of politics in the field of quality and for which is necessary the development of the collaboration relations between University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine from Iasi and production unit SC AVI-TOP SA Razboieni, and another production unities with the aim to create the synergy and of some communication real channels among activities, whose results depend one of another. This way it will be possible the solving of one major problem, the rapid transfer of the results obtained as a consequence of the scientific research towards production current activities.

The aim of this study is to predict the development of market price movements using the most popular technical indicators on a new type of interpretation. Technical indicators are series of data points derived by applying a formula to the price data of a security what includes any combination of the open, high, low or close prices over a period of time. This analysis can help investors to anticipate what will happen to prices over the time. We study the evolution and prediction for company ALBALACT SA Alba Iulia, symbolized ALBZ which is in Exchange segment RASDAQ, part of BVB. We are proving that a better prediction could be done using a increasing number of indicators, or using statistical analyses of data. For that we are using an indicator named Rate-of-Change (ROC) which is a centered oscillator that fluctuates above and below zero line, completed with MVSP statistical analyze of data in order to predict the evolution of prices.
