One of the most important goals of foreign language teaching is to enable students to use the target language in everyday situations. Developing lexical competence in foreign language learning can play an important role in achieving this goal. The aim of the present study is to call attention to the importance of teaching collocations in foreign language education. The first part of the paper gives an overview about collocations and collocational competence. In the second part of the paper, I would like to focus on principles of phraseology and foreign language teaching methodology that can be used for teaching collocations in the classroom. The goal of this paper is to test productive collocational competence of German as a foreign language students at the University of Debrecen. The test aims to analyze compensational strategies that are used by students in their texts. In this paper, we prove that every standard Koszul (not necessarily graded) standardly stratified algebra is also Koszul. This generalizes a similar result of [3] on quasi-hereditary algebras. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
