Law 13.709/18, General Law for the Protection of Personal Data (LGPD), applies to the processing of personal data. In this context, this study aims to propose the adequacy of Empresa Alfa, with regard to the processing of personal data, in order to ensure protection, security and Compliance in accordance with the LGPD, in addition to expanding the look at Corporate Governance, under a holistic view, thus contributing to the company's modernity, integrity, security, innovation, speed, transparency, assertiveness and global positioning. The challenge of reconciling agile innovation with the growing need for companies to have solid governance, risk elimination and security processes is a big challenge, as the absence of such expedients increases problems for the company, such as financial ones. (fines, lawsuits), image (leakage), continuity (data loss), among others. For a company to grow with corporate resilience, it needs a strong governance, security, risk and compliance structure.

Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of osteosarcopenia and the association of osteosarcopenia with trabecular bone score (TBS) in a group of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DMG) compared with a paired control group (CG). Materials and methods: Cross-sectional study with men and women ≥ 50 years recruited by convenience. Patients in both groups answered questionnaires and underwent evaluation of bone mineral density (BMD), handgrip strength (HGS), and TBS. The T2DMG also underwent a gait speed (GS) test. Sarcopenia was defined as low lean mass plus low HGS or GS according to the Foundation for the National Institute of Health Sarcopenia Project, and osteosarcopenia was deemed present when sarcopenia was associated with osteopenia, osteoporosis, or low-energy trauma fractures. Results: The T2DMG (n = 177) and CG (n = 146) had, respectively, mean ages of 65.1 ± 8.2 years and 68.8 ± 11.0 years and 114 (64.4%) and 80 (54.7%) women. T2DMG versus the CG had higher rates of osteosarcopenia (11.9% versus 2.14%, respectively, p = 0.010), sarcopenia (12.9% versus 5.4%, respectively, p < 0.030), and fractures (29.9% versus 18.5%, respectively, p = 0.019), and lower HGS values (24.4 ± 10.3 kg versus 30.9 ± 9.15 kg, respectively, p < 0.001), but comparable BMD values. Mean TBS values were 1.272 ± 0.11 and 1.320 ± 0.12, respectively (p = 0.001). On multivariate analysis, age, greater waist circumference, fractures, and osteoporosis increased the risk of degraded TBS. Osteosarcopenia was associated with diabetes complications (p = 0.03), calcium and vitamin D supplementation (p = 0.01), and all components of osteosarcopenia diagnosis (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Compared with the CG, the T2DMG had a higher prevalence of osteosarcopenia, sarcopenia, and fractures and lower bone quality assessed by TBS.

Background. The aim of this study was to compare the prevalence of low muscle mass and sarcopenia in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) versus paired controls (control group, CG) and the association between sarcopenia and chronic diabetes complications. Methods. Men and women ≥50 years with T2DM (T2DM group, T2DMG) were recruited during routine outpatient visits. Total body densitometry and handgrip strength (HGS) were evaluated in the T2DMG and CG, while the T2DMG was also evaluated for the physical performance using the gait speed (GS) test. Sarcopenia was diagnosed according to the criteria of the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health Sarcopenia Project (FNIH). Results. The study included 177 individuals in the T2DMG and 146 in the CG. The mean HGS value was lower in the T2DMG (24.4 ± 10.3 kg) compared with the CG (30.9 ± 9.15 kg), p < 0.001 , with low HGS in 46 (25.9%) and 10 (9%) in the T2DMG and CG, respectively ( p < 0.001 ). The prevalence of sarcopenia defined according to the FNIH criteria was higher in the T2DMG 23 (12.9%) compared with the CG 8 (5.4%), p < 0.03 . The presence of albuminuria increased the odds of sarcopenia (odds ratio (OR) 2.84, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.07–7.68, p = 0.04 ) and osteoporosis (OR 3.38, 95% CI 1.12–9.89, p = 0.03 ), even in patients with mild to moderate nephropathy. The body composition analysis showed increased odds of sarcopenia with increased percentage of total fat (%TF) in women (OR 1.18, 95% CI, 1.03–1.43, p = 0.03 ) and men (OR 1.31, 95% CI, 1.10–1.75, p = 0.01 ). Conclusion. Patients with T2DM presenting with albuminuria, osteoporosis, and increased %TF were more likely to have sarcopenia. This finding emphasizes the need for patients with T2DM to be evaluated for sarcopenia to allow for early implementation of measures to prevent or treat this disorder.

Aims To evaluate whether there is a difference between the effects of dapagliflozin and gliclazide modified release (MR) on glycaemic variability (GV) and glycaemic control, as assessed by continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), in individuals with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes. Materials and methods This randomized, open-label, active-controlled study was conducted in individuals with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes who were drug-naive or on steady-dose metformin monotherapy. Participants were treated once daily with 10 mg dapagliflozin or 120 mg gliclazide MR. CGM and GV index calculations were performed at baseline and after 12 weeks. Results In total, 97 participants (age 57.9 ± 8.7 years, 50.5% men, baseline glycated haemoglobin 63 ± 9.8 mmol/mol [7.9 ± 0.9%]) were randomized, and 94 completed the 12-week protocol. Intention-to-treat (ITT) and per-protocol (PP) analyses showed that the reduction in GV, as measured by the mean amplitude of glycaemic excursions, was superior in the dapagliflozin group versus the gliclazide MR group (-0.9 mmol/L [95% CI -1.5, -0.4] vs -0.2 mmol/L [95% CI -0.6, 0.3]; P = 0.030 [ITT]). The reductions in GV estimated by the coefficient of variation and SD were greater in the dapagliflozin group. Moreover, dapagliflozin increased the glucose time in range (TIR; 3.9-10 mmol/L) by 24.9% (95% CI 18.6, 31.2) vs. 17.4% (95% CI 11.6, 23.3) in the gliclazide MR group (P = 0.089 [ITT]; P = 0.041 [PP]). Conclusions Dapagliflozin improved GV and increased TIR more efficiently than gliclazide MR in individuals with type 2 diabetes over 12 weeks, as demonstrated by CGM.

The Court of Justice of Pernambuco (TJPE), since 2001, has maintained quotas in its public examinations to absorb and enhance the workforce of people with disabilities, and currently has 179 civil servants with some type of disability in its workforce. in different activities and sectors of the organization, throughout the State of Pernambuco. For a full professional performance, access to technological tools should serve all servers without distinction. The lack of adaptation of ICT services to TJPE servers with disabilities can lead to discouragement of its use, preventing the individual from exercising all their work potential by not fully taking advantage of the available technological tools. Within this context, the objective of the present work was to carry out a bibliographical survey on labor inclusion and the use of technological tools by the TJPE servers with disabilities, in order to seek solutions for an inclusive and accessible ICT service management. The documental research used the guidelines of the Prisma methodology, seeking historical legal understanding of labor inclusion, ICT practices for accessibility and experiences lived in the TJPE. This preliminary survey aims, in the future, to prepare a Booklet of Good Practices for the Management of ICT Services at the TJPE, for people with visual impairments. The results obtained showed that, although there is a movement to adapt technological tools to visually impaired servers at TJPE, there is still a need for a more effective and efficient management policy for the full labor utilization of these servers. La falta de adecuación de los servicios TIC a los servidores TJPE con discapacidad puede llevar a desalentar su uso, impidiendo que el individuo ejerza todo su potencial laboral al no aprovechar al máximo las herramientas tecnológicas disponibles. En este contexto, el objetivo del presente trabajo fue realizar una encuesta bibliográfica sobre la inclusión laboral y el uso de herramientas tecnológicas por parte de los servidores de TJPE con discapacidad, con el fin de buscar soluciones para una gestión de servicios TIC inclusiva y accesible. La investigación documental utilizó los lineamientos de la metodología Prisma, buscando la comprensión jurídica histórica de la inclusión laboral, las prácticas de las TIC para la accesibilidad y las experiencias vividas en el TJPE. Esta encuesta preliminar tiene como objetivo, en el futuro, la elaboración de un Folleto de Buenas Prácticas para la Gestión de los Servicios TIC en el TJPE, para personas con discapacidad visual. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que, si bien existe un movimiento para adaptar las herramientas tecnológicas a los servidores con discapacidad visual en TJPE, aún existe la necesidad de una política de gestión más efectiva y eficiente para la plena utilización laboral de estos servidores. Dentro desse contexto, o objetivo do presente trabalho foi realizar um levantamento bibliográfico sobre a inclusão laboral e o uso de ferramentas tecnológicas pelos servidores com deficiência do TJPE, com a finalidade de buscar soluções para uma gestão de serviços de TIC inclusiva e acessível. A pesquisa documental utilizou as diretrizes da metodologia Prisma, buscando entendimento legal histórico da inclusão laboral, as práticas de TIC para acessibilidade e as experiências vivenciadas no TJPE. OBJECTIVES: To compare three-dimensional (3D) skeletal and dentoalveolar effects of the Herbst and Pendulum appliances followed by fixed orthodontic treatment in growing patients. SETTING AND SAMPLE POPULATION: A sample of 35 adolescents with cone-beam computed tomography scans obtained prior to Herbst and Pendulum treatment (T1) and immediately after fixed appliance treatment (T2). MATERIALS AND METHODS: Patients with Class II malocclusion was assessed retrospectively and divided into two treatment groups: Herbst group (n = 17, age: 12.0 ± 1.6 years) and Pendulum group (n = 18, age: 12.1 ± 1.5 years), with a mean treatment duration of 2.8 ± 0.8 years and 2.5 ± 0.7 years, respectively. Aims: This study aims to evaluate whether there is a difference between the effects of dapagliflozin and gliclazide MR (modified release) on glycemic variability (GV) and control, as assessed by continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), in individuals with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes (T2DM). Methods: An open-label, randomized study was conducted in uncontrolled T2DM individuals drug naïve or on steady-dose metformin monotherapy which were treated with 10 mg dapagliflozin once daily or 60 to 120 mg of gliclazide MR once daily. CGM and GV indices calculation were performed at baseline and after 12 weeks. Results: In total, 97 patients (age: 57.9 ± 8.7 years, male sex: 50.5%, baseline glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c): 7.9 ± 0.9) were randomized and 94 completed the 12-week protocol. Per protocol analysis demonstrated that the reduction of GV, as measured by the mean amplitude of glycemic excursions (MAGE), was superior in the dapagliflozin versus gliclazide MR group (-17.8 ± 33.3 vs. -3.3 ± 42.9 mg/dL, mean ± SD, p= 0.037). The improvement of GV, as measured by the coefficient of variation (CV) and the standard deviation (SD) was also superior in the dapagliflozin group (p=0.021 and 0.024, respectively). Moreover, dapagliflozin increased the time in range (TIR, between 70-180 mg/dL) by 28.6 ± 24.4% vs.19.8 ± 33.1 % (p=0.041). The intention-to-treat (ITT) analysis was also performed and did not alter the significance of the results. Conclusions: Dapagliflozin reduced glycemic variability and increased the TIR more efficiently than gliclazide MR in individuals with T2DM after 12 weeks of treatment as demonstrated by continuous glucose monitoring evaluation. In this study, we investigated children’s perceptions of their learning experiences in early childhood education and care using data from two different settings: Brazil and Finland. We adopted a qualitative and cross-national research design. Photographs were used to gather children’s representations of their learning places and spaces and also later to elicit reflections during group interviews. This process of using photographs allowed us to elicit children’s perceptions about their learning. The analysis consisted of content categorization of the photographs, content analysis of the interviews, and juxtaposition of materials in a comparative framework. The children represented and conceived their learning experience in four categories of school spaces: objects, actions, significant others, and cultural practices. By analyzing each of these categories, we identify five core elements of children’s perceptions about their learning: relevance of peer interactions; recognition of learning through play; children’s acknowledgment of their own competence for learning; school spaces as places for learning actions; and present time as the timeframe for learning. Practical implications of these findings are discussed, including the importance and relevance of considering children’s perceptions. Objective The purpose of this study is to describe the methodological innovations of a web-based system for storage, integration and computation of biomedical data, using a training imaging dataset to remotely compute a deep neural network classifier of temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA). Methods This study imaging dataset consisted of three-dimensional (3D) surface meshes of mandibular condyles constructed from cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans. The training dataset consisted of 259 condyles, 105 from control subjects and 154 from patients with diagnosis of TMJ OA. For the image analysis classification, 34 right and left condyles from 17 patients (39.9 ± 11.7 years), who experienced signs and symptoms of the disease for less than 5 years, were included as the testing dataset. For the integrative statistical model of clinical, biological and imaging markers, the sample consisted of the same 17 test OA subjects and 17 age and sex matched control subjects (39.4 ± 15.4 years), who did not show any sign or symptom of OA. For these 34 subjects, a standardized clinical questionnaire, blood and saliva samples were also collected. The technological methodologies in this study include a deep neural network classifier of 3D condylar morphology (ShapeVariationAnalyzer, SVA), and a flexible web-based system for data storage, computation and integration (DSCI) of high dimensional imaging, clinical, and biological data. Results The DSCI system trained and tested the neural network, indicating 5 stages of structural degenerative changes in condylar morphology in the TMJ with 91% close agreement between the clinician consensus and the SVA classifier. The DSCI remotely ran with a novel application of a statistical analysis, the Multivariate Functional Shape Data Analysis, that computed high dimensional correlations between shape 3D coordinates, clinical pain levels and levels of biological markers, and then graphically displayed the computation results. Conclusions The findings of this study demonstrate a comprehensive phenotypic characterization of TMJ health and disease at clinical, imaging and biological levels, using novel flexible and versatile open-source tools for a web-based system that provides advanced shape statistical analysis and a neural network based classification of temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis.

INTRODUCTION: The aims of this study were to evaluate, using 3-dimensional superimposition techniques, the skeletal changes in Class II subjects with different vertical facial patterns treated with the Herbst appliance and to compare these skeletal changes to those of Class II controls treated with elastics. METHODS: Sixteen Herbst patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into 2 equal groups based on vertical facial pattern as determined by the Frankfort mandibular plane angle (brachyfacial, ≤22°; mesofacial, 23°−29°) and had cone-beam computed tomographs taken before treatment, 8 weeks after Herbst appliance removal, and after subsequent fixed appliance treatment. Eleven Class II control patients treated with fixed appliances and elastics had cone-beam computed tomographs taken before and after treatment. Three-dimensional models were generated from the cone-beam computed tomography images, registered on the anterior cranial bases, and analyzed using color maps and point-to-point measurements. RESULTS: There were minimal differences in treatment response between the 2 Herbst groups across all skeletal parameters measured. The Herbst subjects showed a greater inferior displacement of anterior nasal spine compared with the Class II controls (Herbst brachyfacial, −1.44 mm; Herbst mesofacial,−1.95 mm) with other maxillary changes being clinically insignifi-cant. The Herbst subjects showed greater inferior displacement of B-point compared with the Class II controls (Herbst brachyfacial, −2.59 mm; Herbst mesofacial, −2.75 mm). There were no statistically significant differences in mean linear mandibular measurements. All groups showed a trend toward posterior displacement of the condyles and glenoid fossae from the start to the end of treatment, with no significant differences across the 3 groups. There were minimal differences in the changes in gonial angle and Frankfort mandibular plane angle across all groups. CONCLUSION: Approximately 2 years after Herbst treatment, the Herbst subjects with different vertical facial patterns showed similar patterns of skeletal change compared with the Class II controls treated with elastics. Background: As the world population ages, patients older than 80 years, known as very elderly, are more frequently found. There are no studies in this age group aimed at analyzing the multidisciplinary intervention in the treatment of systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) and some comorbidities. Objectives: To assess the effect of a multidisciplinary approach in very elderly hypertensives cared for at a specialized service. Methods: Longitudinal retrospective cohort study in a multidisciplinary service specialized in the SAH treatment in the Brazilian West-Central region. Patients aged 80 years and older by June 2015 were included. Data from the first (V1) and last visit (Vf) were assessed. Anthropometric variables, blood pressure (BP), renal function, pharmacological treatment, lifestyle, comorbidities and cardiovascular events were studied, comparing data from V1 and Vf. Background The knowledge of the presence and evolution of cardiovascular risk factors in young people may significantly contribute to actions to modify the natural history of these risks and prevent the onset of cardiovascular disease. Objectives To assess the presence and evolution of cardiovascular risk factors in health professionals over a 20-year period. Methods A group of individuals was evaluated when they first started graduate programs in medicine, nursing, nutrition, dentistry, and pharmacy, and 20 years later. Data obtained in the two phases were compared. Questionnaires about hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, family history of early-onset cardiovascular disease, smoking, alcohol consumption, and sedentary lifestyle were administered. O mecanismo que desencadeia o processo de movimentação geralmente ocorre em períodos de chuvas intensas, principalmente nas encostas com pouca cobertura vegetal ou naquelas que sofreram mudanças recentes na topografia, geralmente pela execução de cortes. Neste trabalho foram realizadas análises de estabilidade da um trecho da encosta da BR-376, que liga as cidades de Curitiba a Joinville no km 55+800 do oleoduto OSPAR da Transpetro. Em 1995, cortes executados para duplicação da rodovia provocaram instabilidade em certa área da encosta. Em janeiro de 1997, durante um período de fortes chuvas, um novo escorregamento da porção inferior do talude provocou a ruptura do muro existente e uma série de escorregamentos sucessivos, que chegaram a atingir a faixa dos oleodutos. Diante desse cenário, utilizou-se primeiramente o programa de elementos finitos PLAXIS para as análises de estabilidade e posteriormente, a fim de comparação, o programa Slope/W e Sigma/W. Para as análises no PLAXIS foi utilizado o hardening soil model para o solo, com os parâmetros sendo determinados através de ensaios triaxiais com amostras obtidas de dois blocos de solo coletados das encosta. Os efeitos da movimentação da encosta no oleoduto OSPAR foram analisados por programa 3D de elementos finitos, dando-se ênfase às tensões e deformações para se a fim de verificar a integridade do duto. In densely populated urban areas, landslides generally cause large economic, social and environmental damages as well as, quite frequently, the loss of human lives. The main triggering factor for soil slope failures is the occurrence of heavy rainfalls and the most affected slopes are those with little vegetal covering or that had suffered recent changes in topography, generally due to the execution of cuts and excavations. In this work, stability analyses of a soil slope located at km 55+800 of the Transpetro’s OSPAR oil pipeline were carried out In 1995, the works for the duplication of the BR-376 highway, connecting the cities of Curitiba and Joinville, caused some instability in certain area of the soil slope. Later, in January 1997, during a period of heavy rainfall, a new landslide near the slope toe provoked the failure of the existing retaining wall and triggered a series of successive slides that reached the protected area were the oil pipeline was buried. In order to better understand the mechanics involved in this process, numerical analyses were carried out using the computational programs Slope/W, Sigma/W and Plaxis v.8. The soil behavior was simulated considering the hard soil model, whose constitutive parameters were estimated from triaxial tests. The influence of soil movements on the OSPAR oil pipeline were investigated through a 3D finite element analysis, with emphasis on stress and strain distributions in order to check the pile line structural integrity.

INTRODUÇÃO: Pacientes hipertensos podem apresentar comprometimento da qualidade de vida (QV) e da qualidade de vida relacionada à saúde (QVRS), tanto pela hipertensão arterial (HA), quanto pelos eventuais efeitos adversos do tratamento. Exercícios físicos, aeróbios e resistidos, melhoram a performance cardiorrespiratória e neuromuscular, mas há poucas evidências sobre seus efeitos na QV, QVRS e capacidade funcional (CF) em mulheres hipertensas. OBJETIVO: Avaliar e comparar os efeitos dos treinamentos aeróbio e resistido sobre a QV, QVRS e a capacidade funcional em hipertensas. MÉTODOS: Ensaio clínico randomizado, cego, com total de 18 sessões de exercícios. Foram incluídas mulheres hipertensas sob tratamento medicamentoso, não participantes de programas de exercícios, com 50 anos de idade ou mais, que não apresentaram arritmias e/ou alterações isquêmicas em teste ergométrico (protocolo de Bruce). A amostra foi randomizada como segue: grupo aeróbio (GA) (n = 21) e grupo resistido (GR) (n = 20). Intensidade GA: leve a moderada (Escala de Borg adaptada); GR: até 50-65% de 1 RM. Duas séries com 12 a 15 repetições. Antes e após a intervenção foram aplicados os questionários WHOQOL-bref (QV) e SF-36 (QVRS) e realizado o teste de caminhada de 6 minutos (TC6`) para avaliar a CF. Estatística: testes Shapiro-Wilk, t de Student, Fisher, U de Mann-Whitney e Wilcoxon. Nível de significância: p < 0,05. RESULTADOS: Os grupos eram inicialmente homogêneos nos aspectos clínicos, antropométricos, funcionais e sociodemográficos (p > 0,05). Após a intervenção houve melhora significativa em todos os domínios do WHOQOL-bref no GA e no GR houve melhora no domínio aspectos físicos. No SF-36, constatou-se melhora significativa em sete de oito domínios tanto no GA quanto no GR. Capacidade funcional: verificou-se melhora nos dois grupos (p < 0,001). CONCLUSÃO: Os dois tipos de treinamento melhoraram a QV e a CF e, dependendo dos objetivos estabelecidos, ambos podem ser eficazes. Después de la intervención hubo mejora significativa en todos los dominios de WHOQOL-bref en el GA y en el GR hubo mejora en el dominio aspectos físicos. En el SF-36, se constató mejora significativa en siete de ocho dominios tanto en el GA como en el GR. Capacidad funcional: se verificó mejora en los dos grupos (p < 0,001). CONCLUSIÓN: Los dos tipos de entrenamiento mejoraron la QV y la CF y, dependiendo de los objetivos establecidos, ambos pueden ser eficaces.
