To assess first-year secondary-school students' knowledge and performance of basic life support (BLS) 6 months after training given by their regular teachers during school hours.Sixty-two teachers were trained in BLS instruction. They then instructed 1043 students. The students' knowledge increased significantly from mean (SD) scores of 4.42 (1.64) to 7.28 (1.85) (P.001) and was maintained at 6 months (mean score, 5.15 [3.16]; P.001). Se impartieron cursos de SVB según las recomendaciones del European Resuscitation Council a los profesores y estos a sus alumnos. Los exámenes teóricos y prácticos fueron realizados por los profesores.. Se formaron 62 profesores que instruyeron a 1.043 alumnos. Hubo un aumento significativo de los conocimientos teóricos [de 4,42 (DE 1,64) a 7,28 (1,85), p0,001] aunque descendió a los seis meses [5,15 (3,16), p0,001]. Las habilidades prácticas también se mantuvieron a los seis meses, aunque con mayor dificultad las relacionadas con la vía aérea.La formación en SVB de escolares de primero de la ESO realizada por sus propios profesores en horario modificó la actitud de los escolares ante una posible parada cardiaca y logró un aprendizaje de las técnicas que desciende a los 6 meses.

Tercer Objetivo: Evaluación de la actividad dopaminérgica de las tetrahidro-3-benzazepinas y las tetrahidroisoquinolinas sintetizadas en el primer objetivo. La actividad dopaminérgica está asociada a la presencia de grupos hidroxilos libres en el anillo A. Por este motivo para llevar a cabo el análisis de la actividad es precisa la o-desmetilación de estas moléculas siendo necesario realizar una previa optimización de las condiciones de reacción de desprotección de los grupos metoxilo. Una vez obtenidas las moléculas con los grupos metoxilos desprotegidos como hidroxilos en el anillo A, se ha procedido a la evaluación de su actividad frente a receptores dopaminérgicos. El estudio se ha abordado mediante ensayos de competición, en los cuales se han usado radioligandos específicos para cada una de las familias de receptores dopaminérgicos ([3H]-SCH 23390 para D1 y [3H]-racloprida o [3H]-espiperona para D2). Las tetrahidro-3-benzazepinas (THBs) son una clase de compuestos heterocíclicos que se caracterizan por la presencia en su estructura de un anillo bencénico condensado con un anillo de azepina. La importancia de estos compuestos se debe a la presencia de una subestructura de fenetilamina, que está presente en un gran número de compuestos naturales con propiedades biológicas y farmacológicas interesantes. Este hecho estructural lo comparten con los alcaloides isoquinolínicos de los que se ha postulado que proceden biogenéticamente. La Transposición de Stevens es una reacción con una elevada regio- y estereoselectividad, además permite emplear condiciones suaves de reacción que la hace compatible con la presencia de distintos grupos funcionales. Por todo ello y por los buenos rendimientos que se obtienen ha sido la reacción elegida para sintetizar las THBs objeto de este trabajo. El trabajo de investigación se ha desarrollado de acuerdo con tres objetivos. Primer Objetivo: Síntesis de una amplia variedad de tetrahidro-3-benzazepinas 1,2-disustituidas mediante el empleo de la transposición de Stevens sobre sales de tetrahidroisoquinolinio con un sustituyente CH2Z sobre el átomo de nitrógeno. Las THBs sintetizadas se han modificado en el carbono C-1 con grupos atractores y dadores de electrones, mientras que la sustitución en el carbono C-2 ha sido de grupos atractores de electrones. Además, se han sintetizado THBs con un átomo de Cl en el anillo A. Segundo Objetivo: Síntesis de tetrahidro-3-benzazepinas con conformación restringida análogas del SCH 39166. La metodología que se ha empleado es la formación del anillo C en la etapa final de la ruta sintética mediante el empleo de la ciclación intramolecular de Friedel-Crafts (alquilación o acilación).

Comunicación a congreso The muscles of the mantle in bivalves attach to the shell valves and retract the mantle edges. Among them, the adductors are particularly important for the survival of the animal. Most studies have addressed the type and morphology of the muscular fibers and filaments, and a few have focused on the attachment of these muscles to the shell. However, the mechanism of transport through the muscle to the myostracum was never addressed. The goal of this research is to describe ultrastructure and the transport of material across the adductor muscle-myostracum attachment in Ostrea stentina and Anomia ephippium. The adductor muscles in both species are composed of “smooth” and “striated” muscles. The outer epithelium of the mantle continues across the adductor muscle area and their cells contain many vesicles. Bundles of filaments connect the muscular cells with the extrapallial space through hemidesmosomes. The extrapallial space (ca.100-150 nm thick) is filled with organic secretions from the vesicles of the mantle cells. Additional bundles of microfilaments of collagen fibers cross the extrapallial sheet, from the hemidesmosomes to inside the myostracum, where they form a network. EDX analysis shows the presence of calcium inside vesicles from the mantle cells, the extrapallial sheet and the myostracum network. The presence of a layer of cells between the muscular cells and the shell was confirmed the existence of this cell layer, which is the continuation of the outer mantle epithelium across the adductor muscle. The extrapallial space is replenished with secretions of the mantle cells and collagen fibers, seemingly originated in the hemidesmosomes. The presence of calcium inside some vesicles suggests that part of the calcium is transported thereby. De tal manera que se han diseñado sistemas de liberación controlada de fármacos para mejorar la efectividad clínica del medicamento (nanotransportadores) y su biocompatibilidad. De acuerdo con esto, las moléculas sintetizadas en los objetivos 1 y 2 pueden ser empleadas como fármacos y formar parte de sistemas de detección o reconocimiento biológico (biosensores). Para todo ello, es necesario la incorporación de los activos a nanopartículas así como la integración a medios materiales (superficies metálicas) para generar biosensores in vitro. Con todo ello, se plantea el tercer objetivo de esta tesis: Objetivo 3: Integración en superficies o nanopartículas de las moléculas de interés sintetizadas en los objetivos previos. Con objeto de estudiar cómo modifican las superficies estos compuestos, se incorporan las moléculas sintetizadas en el objetivo 1 a superficies de silicio mediante reacción de hidrosililación o reacción click con las condiciones optimizadas en el laboratorio. Por otro lado, se unen las moléculas preparadas en el objetivo 2 a nanopartículas, optimizándose las condiciones de reacción para lograr el máximo porcentaje de unión posible. Así como se estudian qué factores influyen en este porcentaje (solventes, catalizador, longitud de la cadena alquílica incorporada, …). Fecha de lectura de Tesis Doctoral: 29 noviembre 2019 La mayoría de los productos farmacéuticos aprobados por la FDA presentan en su estructura átomos de nitrógeno. De hecho, más de la mitad de ellos incluyen un heterociclo de nitrógeno. Entre los heterociclos de nitrógeno más frecuentes en fármacos se encuentran las isoquinolinas y las tetrahidro-3-benzazepinas. Ambos núcleos son muy interesantes desde el punto de vista químico médico debido a que presentan la subestructura de fenetilamina, que es común en la naturaleza y en gran cantidad de fármacos. Diferentes actividades biológicas y farmacológicas se han asociado a estos compuestos. En base a esto se plantean dos objetivos sintéticos: Objetivo 1: Síntesis de dos 1-aril tetrahidro-3-benzazepinas 1,2-disustituidas empleando como estrategia sintética la Transposición de Stevens sobre sales de tetrahidroisoquinolinio. Objetivo 2: Síntesis de nor-tetrahidroisoquinolinas y nor-tetrahidrobenzazepinas 1-sustituidas con diferentes modificaciones en el fenilo de la posición 1. Las nor-tetrahidroisoquinolinas se preparan mediante ciclación de Bischler-Napieralski y posterior reducción con hidruro; las nor-tetrahidrobenzazepinas se obtienen tras la ciclación intramolecular de los aminoalcoholes obtenidos previamente vía apertura de époxidos. La presencia del grupo –NH en estas moléculas permite su alquilación posterior para dar lugar a nuevos derivados que pueden ser utilizados como adsorbatos. En los últimos años, se ha llevado a cabo la incorporación de compuestos con actividad biológica en medios materiales (superficies metálicas, nanopartículas, …) lo que ha supuesto un avance en la detección y reconocimiento biológico, actuando estos sistemas como biosensores in vitro. Además, la aplicabilidad de estos compuestos como fármacos requiere un compromiso entre su papel terapéutico y los efectos secundarios que produce.

The 3-Benzazepines are an important class of compounds in drug discovery due to their biological activity such as analgesic, antihypertensive or anticancer properties as well as dopaminergic or antidopaminergic activity. In particular, the tetrahydro-1H-[3]- benzazepine is a common skeleton in a number of natural and pharmaceutical products. As consequence of the interesting biological properties, derivatives of the tetrahydro-1H-[3]-benzazepines, especially the 1-aryl substituted have been synthesized by different routes and evaluated their pharmacologic activity. [1,2] The stereoselective synthetic approaches of tetrahydro-1H-[3]-benzazepine have focused on ring enlargements, as the Stevens rearrangement (SR) which is a good regio- and diastereoselective synthetic methodology. In my research group, the reaction conditions to synthesize tetrahydro-1H-[3]-benzazepines 1,2-disubstituted by via SR from tetrahydroisoquinolinium salts conveniently functionalized have been optimized. [3,4] This methodology allowed us to obtain a wide variety of tetrahydro-1H-[3]- benzazepines 1,2-disubstituted with different substituents at A-ring (Cl, OMe) and the C-1 (-C6H4X, X = H, OMe, Cl, NO2, NMe2, NH2, SMe) and C-2 (Electron-withdrawing groups) positions. The demethylation of the synthesized tetrahydroisoquinolines and tetrahydro-1H-[3]-benzazepines 1,2-disubstituted, lead us to get catechol structure, an important requirement for their dopaminergic activity. The 1-aryl tetrahydroisoquinolines have attracted great attention in medicinal chemistry due to their biological activity. These compounds present antitumor, anti-HIV and antibacterial activities. Several analogues of 1-aryl tetrahydroisoquinoline are used for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson´s and Alzheimer´s diseases since also act as dopaminergic antagonists and N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor antagonist. [1] The 1-substituted tetrahydro-3-benzazepines have also been studied for their affinity to the Phencylclidine binding site of the NMDA receptor as well as for their affinity to the dopaminergic receptors. [2] In the last years, various methods have been carried out to satisfy the demand of novel tetrahydroisoquinolines and tetrahydro-3-benzazepines. We have synthesized nor-1-aryl tetrahydroisoquinolines with different substituents in the aryl group of C-1 (H, NMe2, SMe, NO2, NH2). In addition to this, we have performed the synthesis of nor-tetrahydro-3-benzazepinas by different routes, obtaining the best results via opening of epoxides by arylphenethylamines and subsequent cyclization. The nor-tetrahydroisoquinolines and nor-tetrahydro-3-benzazepines have been derivatized to obtain appropiate adsorbates which can be attached to nanoparticles. Here we describe the first seedless synthesis of vinyl-terminated Au nanotriangular prisms (AuNTPs) and nanooctahedra (AuNOC) in aqueous media. This synthesis is performed by chemical reduction of chloroauric acid (HAuCl4) with 3-butenoic acid (3BA) in the presence of benzyldimethylammonium chloride (BDAC). The principal novelties of the presented method are the use of a mixture of 3BA and BDAC, the synthesis of gold prisms and octahedra with controllable size, and the presence of terminal double bonds on the metal surface. Initially this method produces a mixture of triangular gold nanoprisms and octahedra; however, both morphologies are successfully separated by surfactant micelle induced depletion interaction, reaching percentages up to ∼90%. Moreover, the alkene moieties present on the gold surface are exploited for the fabrication of hybrid core@shell particles. Gold octahedra and triangular prisms are easily encapsulated by free radical polymerization of N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM). Finally, in order to obtain a gold core with the most number of tips, AuNTP@pNIPAM microgels were subjected to gold core overgrowth, thus resulting in star-shaped nanoparticles (AuSTs@pNIPAM). We use 4-amino-benzenethiol as the model analyte for SERS investigations. As expected, gold cores with tips and high curvature sites produced the highest plasmonic responses.

The discovery of the tetrahydro-1H-[3]-benzazepine SCH23390 [1], represented one of the most important advances in the study of dopaminergic receptors due to their behavior as a selective D1 receptor antagonist. The high affinity and selectivity of this tetrahydro-1H-[3]-benzazepine has led to the search for new structures because of their potential dopaminergic activity, especially 1-aryl-substituted tetrahydro-1H-[3]-benzazepines. Furthermore, their precursors, the tetrahydroisoquinolines 1-substituted have shown to have activity for D1 and D2 dopaminergic receptors.[2] We have carried out the synthesis of tetrahydro-1H-[3]-benzazepines 1,2-di-substituted by Stevens rearrangement (SR) on tetrahydroisoquinolinium salts. Stevens rearrangement is an efficient regio- and diastereoselective synthetic methodology. [3a,b] As part of our studies, we have performed the synthesis of benzazepines with modifications at the C-1 and C-2 positions with chlorine and hydroxyl groups at A-ring which is an important factor to modulate affinity at dopaminergic receptors. Nanostructured thin films and subsequent biofunctionalization of silicon substrates are essential for the development of biosensors devices. The formation of organic monolayers on silicon substrates via Si-C bound allows specific interactions with biomolecules and presents several advantages like greater detection sensitivity and stability against hydrolytic cleavage.1 In this sense, to control the orientation and spacing between grafted functional moieties on the surface, tripodal oligo (p-phenylene)s have become ideal anisotropic adsorbates due to their shape-persistent and selfstanding characteristics.2 On the other hand, biomolecules such as tehtahydro[3]benzazepines are well-known to contain in their structure a phenetylamine skeleton, which is also present in dopaminergic receptors and drugs, therefore these molecules have a remarkable interest in medicinal chemistry. Here we report the synthesis and characterization of several tetrahydro[3]benzazepines and tripod-shaped oligo(p-phenylene)s which were suitably functionalized for its subsequent adsorption on silicon surfaces by hydrosilylation and/or CuAAc click reaction. X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) analysis were also carried out to reveal the presence of the grafted molecules on the different Si surfaces. El Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas (MCERL) se ha convertido en un elemento articulador de las políticas de enseñanza, aprendizaje y evaluación de lenguas en el entorno europeo. En él, se describen los niveles de competencia que se estando utilizando para valorar el conocimiento que un usuario tiene de cualquier lengua. Este estudio analiza cuál es el nivel de adecuación a los niveles de competencia del MCERL y sus escalas de descriptores de tres libros de texto habitualmente utilizados en el primer curso de Educación Secundaria., The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) has become the tool that gives sense to all the European policies that have to do with language teaching, learning and evaluation. The CEFR includes a detailed description of the levels of competence that show what a language user can do with the languages he knows or uses.
