Scelolabes, historically is a monotypic genus of Ocydromiinae (Hybotidae) that for a long time was not studied due to the absence of the type of the type species (Scelolabes bivittatus Philippi), which is probably lost or destroyed. In this context, we propose an updated diagnosis and redescription of the genus, based on specimens identified by experts and in agreement with the original description of Philippi (1865), as well as illustrating male and female terminalia for the first time. This serves as an aid to discuss and corroborate the status of Scelolabes in the Neotropical region as a genus distinct from Hoplopeza. In addition, two new species are described, and an identification key and a distribution map are provided to all the Neotropical species of the genus.

O projeto de extensão intitulado “Finanças Pessoais Hoje e Sempre!” representou uma importante iniciativa favorecedora de uma maior capacidade dos indivíduos em administrar suas finanças de maneira consciente e eficiente. A proposta teve como objetivo estimular o aprofundamento de conhecimentos e habilidades relacionados ao tema, propiciando que os participantes realizassem reflexões sobre melhores formas de uso do dinheiro e estratégias para administrar suas finanças de maneira assertiva. Para isso, foram realizadas diversas ações que incluíram eventos abertos ao público, no formato de aulas presenciais na instituição, ou remotas, transmitidas pelo YouTube, além da publicação de materiais, como panfletos impressos ou postagens em mídias sociais, em especial no Instagram. Minicursos, palestras, oficinas (ou workshops) e entrevistas abarcaram temas gerais, como hábitos favoráveis a uma vida financeira de sucesso, e assuntos mais específicos, como empreendedorismo feminino. Os resultados dessas ações foram considerados positivos, pois os feedbacks dos participantes revelaram satisfação com os temas trabalhados, com a qualidade do conteúdo envolvido e a influência disso em suas atitudes relacionadas às decisões envolvendo o uso do dinheiro. Dessa forma, acredita-se que as habilidades e conhecimentos adquiridos pelo público participante no decorrer da execução do projeto contribuíram significativamente para a melhoria de suas vidas pessoais e profissionais.

Este estudo teve como objetivo compreender o sentido da memória percebidos pelas mulheres idosas e as relações que as orientam para a vivência da sua sexualidade no processo de envelhecimento humano. O método utilizado foi através de uma pesquisa qualitativa, descritiva, fundamentada na História Oral de Vida, com cinco mulheres idosas, participantes de grupo de convivência, no interior da Bahia. As experiências foram coletadas por meio de entrevista semiestruturada gravadas e transcritas, analisadas através da análise de conteúdo. Os resultados obtidos expuseram o papel social em função do gênero que conduz as mulheres idosas a autorresponsabilização por vivenciar sua sexualidade acompanhada de sentimentos, desafios, imposições morais apreendidas em meios socioculturais, provenientes de uma socialização com significativas interferências patriarcais, e forte influência religiosa. Destarte, pode-se concluir os sentidos atribuídos à sexualidade que estiveram associados ao ato sexual, às relações interpessoais e familiares, às experiências ambíguas nas diferentes fases da vida e com a forte influência das construções sociais.

O presente trabalho se debruça sobre o direito fundamental ao meio ambiente, mormente acerca da responsabilidade administrativa ambiental do Estado que acarreta na sanção de multa, num estudo sobre a (im)possibilidade de inscrição do ente público em dívida ativa, e a extinção do crédito pela confusão, partindo da metodologia dedutiva, à luz da jurisprudência dos Tribunais Superiores e dos principais posicionamentos doutrinários, primeiramente abrangendo uma análise nacional da matéria. No âmbito estadual, explora a competência da Fundação Estadual do Meio Ambiente na fiscalização e aplicação de infrações ambientais, bem como a possibilidade de aplicação de multa ao Estado do Rio Grande do Sul e posterior inscrição em dívida ativa do ente público. Concluiu-se pela impossibilidade de imposição da sanção de multa à pessoa jurídica de direito público quando da caracterização do instituto civil da confusão, tendo em vista o credor e devedor se confundirem na mesma pessoa jurídica, excluindo-se o crédito não tributário.

Chvalaea australis sp. nov. is described and illustrated, representing the first species of Chvalaea Papp & Földvári, 2002 from the Australasian Region. A discussion of the geographic distribution and the possible relationship among the species of the genus is provided.

Blow flies (Calliphoridae) are used in forensic entomology studies, because their life cycle help to determine the minimum post-mortem interval (PMImin). Paralucilia fulvinota (Bigot, 1877) is a forensic indicator and is reported from human corpses in the Amazonian region. Our objectives were to describe the development time of P. fulvinota under natural conditions at Ducke Reserve (Amazonas), provide the accumulated degree-days (ADD) and accumulated degree-hour (ADH), body length and mass of larvae, and the sex ratio of adults. Pregnant females were sampled on a swine carcass. From hatched eggs, we reared stock colonies and observed the immature development under uncontrolled conditions of temperature (24.5 ± 1.3 ºC), rainfall (188 ± 11.5 mm³) and humidity (84 ± 3.9%). Development time was 11 days. Adult sex ratio was 0.86. Larvae gained mass at constant rates through the instars but grew less in length from the second to the third instar. Accordingly, P. fulvinota grows more in mass than in length when in larval stage. The period from first stadium to adults lasted 159.5 degree-days and 3828 degree-hours. Our results may be helpful in providing a more accurate estimate of PMImin on corpses encountered in forested areas of the Amazon region.

This paper provided a list of all new Brazilian Hexapoda species described in 2020. Furthermore, based on the information extracted by this list, we tackled additional questions regarding the taxa, the specialists involved in the species descriptions as well as the journals in which those papers have been published. We recorded a total of 680 new Brazilian species of Hexapoda described in 2020, classified in 245 genera, 112 families and 18 orders. These 680 species were published in a total of 2019 articles comprising 423 different authors residing in 27 countries. Only 30% of these authors are women, which demonstrates an inequality regarding sexes. In relation to the number of authors by species, the majority of the new species had two authors and the maximum of authors by species was five. We also found inequalities in the production of described species regarding the regions of Brazil, with Southeast and South leading. The top 10 institutions regarding productions of new species have four in the Southeast, two at South and with one at North Region being the outlier of this pattern. Out of the total 219 published articles, Zootaxa dominated with 322 described species in 95 articles. The average impact factor was of 1.4 with only seven articles being published in Impact Factors above 3, indicating a hardship on publishing taxonomic articles in high-impact journals. The highlight of this paper is that it is unprecedent, as no annual record of Hexapoda species described was ever made in previous years to Brazil.

RESUMO Estudo com objetivo de compreender a percepção da equipe da Estratégia Saúde da Família sobre o cuidado a usuários de drogas. Trata-se de estudo fenomenológico na abordagem de Maurice Merleau-Ponty, realizado com nove profissionais de uma Unidade de Saúde da Família no interior da Bahia, Brasil, no período de janeiro a março de 2012, por meio da entrevista aberta relacionada com a leitura de Desenhos-Estória com Tema produzidos pelos próprios participantes. A compreensão das descrições ocorreu mediante a técnica Analítica da Ambiguidade, que originou dois eixos temáticos: a crença na existência de um espaço de inserção próprio do usuário de drogas; e a crença de que o usuário está fora da sociedade. Assim, olhar o usuário como quem olha de fora, sem se entrelaçar com ele, contribui para a segregação e a exclusão social, o que requer dos profissionais a suspensão de teses que sustentam no campo do uso de drogas e a ressignificação da forma como veem e cuidam do usuário de drogas e sua família.

ABSTRACT Objective To understand how Undergraduate Nursing Students signify the university context. Method A qualitative research, of a phenomenological nature, based on the ontology of Maurice Merleau-Ponty, with the participation of 41 undergraduate nursing students from a public university in the interior of Bahia, Brazil. Data were collected from February to April 2019, using four wheels of Community Therapy, whose produced material was submitted to the Analytical of Ambiguity technique. Results From the analysis of the experiential descriptions, two categories emerged that reveal the significance attributed by students to their experiences in the university context: the university that generates suffering and the university that provides growth. Final considerations Undergraduate Nursing students signify the university context as an ambiguous experience, at the same time that the university is seen as generating suffering, it is also seen as capable of providing intellectual, sociocultural, affective and political growth.

Although Pantophthalmidae is widely distributed in Brazil, in some regions, such as the Amazon basin, there is a dearth of studies on the family. In this work, we record the occurrence of Pantophthalmus chuni (Enderlein, 1912) and Pantophthalmus comptus Enderlein, 1912 for the state of Roraima for the first time. In addition, we provide distribution maps and photographs of the species.

Abstract Objective : To identify the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that predispose the elderly to falls and to discuss the consequences of these events in their lives. Method : A descriptive, exploratory study with a qualitative approach was carried out in a city in the southwest region of Bahia, Brazil. The target audience was composed of elderly people living in the area covered by the Family Health Strategy of this city. Data collection took place from April to June 2018 through a semi-structured, scripted interview. The content analysis technique proposed by Laurence Bardin was used to analyze and organize the information. Results : From the analysis of the interviews the main factors that predisposed the elderly to falls emerged, and these were methodologically divided into intrinsic and extrinsic. There were also post-fall events, such as the fear of falling again and the need to inhabit the same place where the fall occurred, as this is a domestic environment which, for social reasons, cannot be modified as recommended by preventive educational actions. Conclusion : The results show that falls among these elderly people occurred in the domestic environment due to structural (extrinsic) issues, and are less influenced by health problems (intrinsic). It can therefore be concluded that the need to inhabit the same place where the fall occurred, without it being modified, generates a fear of falling again, limiting independence and reducing functional capacity, and making effective intersectoral actions essential.

ABSTRACT: The objective of this work was to conduct a temporal evaluation of incidence of rot base and sanitary severity, and to relate the impact on the seed pathology of common bean cultivars. In the 2015-2016 harvest, in the city of Ipameri, Goiás, ten cultivars of common bean were evaluated (BRS Estilo©, BRS Pérola©, IPR Tangará©, IPR Tuiuiú©, IPR Uirapuru©, IAC Milênio©, Imperador©, IAC F3 R2©, IAC OTG© and IPR Campos Gerais©) and distributed into five blocks, totaling 40 experimental units. The incidence of wilt and base rot and sanitary severity were analyzed by taking ten random samples per block at 21, 28, 56, 63 and 69 days after planting. At the end of 120 days, a total of 20 plants were harvested per cultivar, and 250 seeds were harvested for application of the Blotter Test method. From 21 to 69 days after planting, the cultivars BRS Pérola© and IPR Campos Gerais© deserve to be highlighted for presenting the lowest incidence of wilt in the reproductive and vegetative cycles. The cultivar BRS Pérola© showed the lowest incidence of wilt and sanitary severity. In the analysis of harvested seeds, the cultivar BRS Pérola© presented high physiological quality for all evaluated parameters. On the other hand, Cramberry (OTG)© showed low physiological potential in germination and vigor tests.

Resumo OBJETIVO desvelar a percepção de estudantes da educação básica sobre drogas. MÉTODOS Estudo fenomenológico fundamentado em Maurice Merleau-Ponty, realizado com 14 estudantes em escola do interior da Bahia, Brasil, por meio do Grupo Focal, entre abril e junho de 2013, os relatos foram analisados com base na Analítica da Ambiguidade. RESULTADOS Foram apresentados em três categorias: senso comum e conhecimento científico ocupam locus opostos; droga vicia; o bem e o mal das drogas lícitas e ilícitas. CONCLUSÕES a percepção dos estudantes sobre as drogas entrelaçada ao conhecimento científico e, ao mesmo tempo colocando-a no centro do fenômeno, separando as lícitas como boas e ilícitas como más, aponta para a necessidade de medidas socioeducativas, entre educadores, estudantes e familiares, que visem descentralizar o lugar da droga no contexto em que o fenômeno acontece para que compreendamos a complexidade envolvida no tema.

Objetivo: refletir sobre as etapas do Processo de Enfermagem junto às fases do processo interpessoal da teoria de Travelbee, no cuidado de enfermagem a ser prestado às crianças com idade escolar internadas em clínica pediátrica. Método: trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, descritivo e de natureza reflexiva, que aborda as etapas do Processo de Enfermagem e as fases da teoria da Relação Interpessoal de Travelbee, como estratégias para organizar o cuidado e possibilitar a relação interpessoal entre a enfermeira e a criança escolar internada em clínica pediátrica. Resultado: acredita-se que a organização do cuidado à criança pode ocorrer a partir das etapas do Processo de Enfermagem e das fases da teoria de Travelbee, a saber: Histórico – Fases de Pré-Interação, Identidades Emergentes e Empatia; Diagnósticos – Fase de Empatia; Planejamento – Fase de Simpatia; Intervenção – Fase de Simpatia; Avaliação – Fase de Rapport. Conclusão: compreende-se que aprofundar o estudo sobre a teoria de Joyce Travelbee e com base no Processo de Enfermagem trouxe à luz a possibilidade do cuidar compartilhado entre enfermeira-criança, no qual a criança encontra espaço para expressar a sua singularidade e ser sujeito ativo durante sua experiência de hospitalização.

Objetivo: Este estudo tem como objetivo, relatar a experiência vivenciada por discentes do 6º período do curso de Bacharelado em Enfermagem da Universidade do Estado Bahia, campus XII, em uma instituição de longa permanência para idosos no sudoeste da Bahia. Método: Trata-se de um relato de experiência fundamentado durante as práticas do componente curricular Enfermagem em Atenção à Terceira Idade no ano de 2013. Resultados: O indivíduo que envelhece necessita de cuidados diferenciados de uma pessoa jovem, o que demanda atenção das pessoas que estão incumbidas de prestar este tipo de assistência. Conclusão: O envelhecimento traz para o indivíduo a experiência de todo o processo de construção da vida. A família que muitas vezes é a principal responsável em prestar os cuidados aos seus idosos, opta por inseri-los em instituições de longa permanência.

The perception of family caregivers of people with Alzheimer's disease on the family support for the received care, under the light of the phenomenology of Maurice Merleau-Ponty, it was revealed by responses to semi-structured interviews and by depositions in the focus group meetings with ten of them, members of a Mutual Help Group, carried out from September 2009 to June 2010. The study suggests a new understanding of family support to the care, which opens the possibility of transcendence from the caregiver into another self.

Objetivo: refletir acerca do significado do cuidado para cuidadores familiares de idosos com base nas conotações dos afetos, presente na obra de Baruch Spinoza, que impulsiona à liberdade ou à servidão nessa relação interpessoal. Síntese de conteúdo: o ato de cuidar dos cuidadores familiares de pessoas idosas, apesar de constituirse parte da essência natural e cultural do ser humano, desvela outros significados atribuídos a essa experiência; aponta irrefletidamente sentimentos que emanam dessa atividade diária e ininterrupta, e expressa a vivência dos aspectos de liberdade e servidão a partir do diálogo com os afetos produzidos por Baruch Spinoza. Esse desvelo se dá a partir do encontro entre o cuidador familiar e a pessoa idosa, tornando-se servil à medida que é projetado pelas condutas sociais, e livre quando busca o caminho do autoconhecimento. Conclusões: quando o cuidado desenvolvido possui influência externa, os cuidadores familiares tendem ao afeto paixão-tristeza que causa ideias inadequadas, diminui sua potência de agir, tornando-o desanimado, servo e prisioneiro das condutas morais da sociedade. O afeto ação-alegria produz ideias adequadas, favorece a potência de ação do trabalho criativo e desperta o sentimento de gratidão pela reciprocidade do cuidado. O desejo possibilita a libertação ao permitir uma condução racional das atitudes que promovem a potência de ação presente na essência humana. Compreender esse dilema possibilita formular atitudes que impulsionem os afetos ações e refreiem os afetos paixões, regulando -os e conduzindo-os à liberdade.

Backgound and Objectives: Considering the use of active surveillance assists in infection identification and the need for studies that use Surgical Risk Index (SRI) for assessment of Surgical Site Infection (SSI) in cesareans, this study aims to determine the incidence of SSI and analyze the applicability of SRI in the prediction of SSI in women in the postpartum period after being submitted to a cesarean section at a university hospital between April 2012 and March of 2013. Methods: Prospective cohort study. Information notifying SSI by active surveillance was collected daily from the medical records. After hospital discharge, the mothers were contacted through telephone calls to identify infection criteria within 30 days after the cesarean. Descriptive and comparative analyses were performed. The chi-square test was used to compare groups. Results: 737 cesareans were performed. Telephone contact was achieved with 507 (68.8%) women up to 30 days postpartum, with loss of follow-up of 230 cases (31.2%). The medical consultation in the post-partum period occurred with 188 (37.08%) women, with whom telephone contact was obtained, on average, 17.28 days (SD=8.39) after delivery. It was verified that 21 patients met the criteria for SSI, with a 4.14% rate. A total of 12 cases (57.1%) were classified as superficial SSI, 5 (23.8%) as deep and 4 (19.1%) as infection of organs and cavities. The SRI and its risk variables were not associated with SSI in patients submitted to cesarean sections. Conclusion: The SRI and the risk variables included in this index were not associated to SSI in patients submitted to cesarean sections. OBJECTIVE: to describe the perception of lecturers and undergraduate nursing students regarding the dialogic experience in the informal spaces and its relationship with training in health.METHOD: experiential descriptions were collected in the context of a public university in the non-metropolitan region of the state of Bahia, Brazil, using open interviews. These descriptions were analyzed according to the principles of the phenomenology of Maurice Merleau-Ponty.RESULTS: it was revealed that the informal spaces contribute significantly to the construction of knowledge and professional training strengthening teaching and promoting the re-signification of the subjects' experience.CONCLUSION: it is evidenced that the dialogic experience has relevancy for rethinking the teaching-learning process in the university, such that the informal spaces should be included and valued as producers of meanings for the personal and academic life of lecturers and students, with the ability to re-signify existence.

The incidence of severe ischemic heart disease caused by coronary obstruction has progressively increased. Alternative forms of treatment have been studied in an attempt to regenerate myocardial tissue, induce angiogenesis, and improve clinical conditions. In this context, cell therapy has emerged as a promising alternative using cells with regenerative potential, focusing on the release of paracrine and autocrine factors that contribute to cell survival, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling. Evidence of the safety, feasibility, and potential effectiveness of cell therapy has emerged from several clinical trials using different lineages of adult stem cells. The clinical benefit, however, is not yet well established. In this review, we discuss the therapeutic potential of cell therapy in terms of regenerative and angiogenic capacity after myocardial ischemia. In addition, we addressed nonpharmacological interventions that may influence this therapeutic practice, such as diet and physical training. This review brings together current data on pharmacological and nonpharmacological approaches to improve cell homing and cardiac repair.

The study aims to describe the perception of seniors on the exercise of citizenship in the light of the thought of Maurice Merleau-Ponty, based on the notion of the sexed body and the other's body. Discloses was from the participation of 13 elderly, members of acquaintance groups in the city of Jequié/BA, which produced experiential descriptions in three focus group meetings, during the month of April in 2012. Such descriptions were submitted to ambiguity analytics, a technique that consists in suspending the theories and notice the ambiguities inherent in them. From this analysis, two categories have emerged: being an elderly citizen in the expression of the sexed body and being an elderly citizen in the expression of the other's body. The reflections have shown that the inclusion of elderly women in acquaintance groups and their desire to exercise citizenship occur, primarily, by the need to be accepted in society and recognized as subjects of law.
