The interaction between deuterons ($d$-$d$) is pivotal for comprehending the characteristics of certain light nuclei through the perspective of the deuteron cluster and achieving precise reproduction of $d$-$d$ fusion cross sections. In this work, we construct a new set of $d$-$d$ interactions by fitting the phase shifts using potentials parameterized in a Woods-Saxon shape. Then, the correlation functions are calculated with the obtained potential and compared with the recent measurements by the STAR collaboration. We find that the $d$-$d$ phase shifts and the correlation functions are internally consistent, confirming the feasibility of determining the $d$-$d$ interaction by the correlation functions. In addition, our fitted $d$-$d$ interactions validate the existence of bound states in the $^1S_0$ channel, which, along with the repulsive interaction in $^5S_2$, leads to the observed suppression in the measured correlation function. Unsupervised Change Detection (UCD) in multimodal Remote Sensing (RS) images remains a difficult challenge due to the inherent spatio-temporal complexity within data, and the heterogeneity arising from different imaging sensors. Inspired by recent advancements in Visual Foundation Models (VFMs) and Contrastive Learning (CL) methodologies, this research aims to develop CL methodologies to translate implicit knowledge in VFM into change representations, thus eliminating the need for explicit supervision. To this end, we introduce a Semantic-to-Change (S2C) learning framework for UCD in both homogeneous and multimodal RS images. Differently from existing CL methodologies that typically focus on learning multi-temporal similarities, we introduce a novel triplet learning strategy that explicitly models temporal differences, which are crucial to the CD task. Furthermore, random spatial and spectral perturbations are introduced during the training to enhance robustness to temporal noise. In addition, a grid sparsity regularization is defined to suppress insignificant changes, and an IoU-matching algorithm is developed to refine the CD results. Experiments on four benchmark CD datasets demonstrate that the proposed S2C learning framework achieves significant improvements in accuracy, surpassing current state-of-the-art by over 31\%, 9\%, 23\%, and 15\%, respectively. It also demonstrates robustness and sample efficiency, suitable for training and adaptation of various Visual Foundation Models (VFMs) or backbone neural networks. The hadronic molecular picture of the observed exotic states has inspired numerous investigations into few-body systems. Recently, the lattice effective field theory studied the effect of a three-body interaction on the binding energy of the $DD^{*}K$ system, revealing an intriguing phenomenon in the binding energy. This work uses the Gaussian expansion method to explore the underlying physics. Our results show that as the repulsive three-body interaction strengthens, the spatial size of the $DD^{(*)}K$ bound state gradually increases. Further enhancement of the three-body interaction causes the $DD^{(*)}K$ three-body bound state to break into a $D^{(*)}K$ two-body bound state, accompanied by a distant $D$ meson. The identical nature of the two $D$ mesons leads to the fact that the $DDK$ system consistently resembles an isosceles triangle-shaped spatial configuration., Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures

Wide-field surveys have markedly enhanced the discovery and study of solar system objects (SSOs). The 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST) represents the foremost facility dedicated to optical time-domain surveys in the northern hemisphere. To fully exploit WFST's capabilities for SSO detection, we have developed a heliocentric-orbiting objects processing system (HOPS) tailored for identifying these objects. This system integrates HelioLinC3D, an algorithm well suited for the WFST survey cadence, characterized by revisiting the same sky field twice on the majority of nights. In this paper, we outline the architecture and processing flow of our SSO processing system. The application of the system to the WFST pilot survey data collected between March and May 2024 demonstrates exceptional performance in terms of both temporal efficiency and completeness. A total of 658,489 observations encompassing 38,520 known asteroids have been documented, and 241 newly discovered asteroids have been assigned provisional designations. In particular, 27% of these new discoveries were achieved using merely two observations per night on three nights. Understanding nuclear structure, reactions, and the properties of neutron stars from \textit{ab initio} calculations from the nucleon degrees of freedom has always been a primary goal of nuclear physics, in which the microscopic nuclear force serves as the fundamental input. So far, the Weinberg chiral nuclear force, first proposed by the Nobel laureate Weinberg, has become the \textit{de facto} standard input for nuclear \textit{ab initio} studies. However, compared to their non-relativistic counterparts, relativistic \textit{ab initio} calculations, which describe better nuclear observables, have only begun. The lack of modern relativistic nucleon-nucleon interactions is an important issue restricting their development. In this work, we briefly review the development and status of the Weinberg chiral nuclear force, as well as its limitations. We further present a concise introduction to the relativistic chiral nuclear force, show its description of the scattering phase shifts and observables such as differential cross sections, and demonstrate its unique features. Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST), with a powerful sky survey capability in the northern hemisphere, will play an important role in asteroid searching and monitoring. However, WFST is not a telescope dedicated to near-Earth asteroids (NEOs) searching. In order to improve the efficiency of finding NEOs on the premise of meeting the needs of other scientific research, we ran mock observations for WFST to study its search capability for NEOs. The NEO population model, the WFST detection model and site conditions are taken into account in our simulations. Based on the original scheduling scheme, we present two new schemes. Compared to the original scheme, the optimized scheme can improve the search capability of known and unknown NEOs by 100\% and 50\%. We also emphasized the importance of trailing loss and proposed an improved effective field of view model. In addition, it is predicted that adopting the clear-day ratio of 0.7 and the optimized scheme, during one year of regular survey, for NEOs with absolute magnitude from 17 to 25, WFST can provide tracklets for about 1800 NEOs if their orbits are known, and in the case of blind search, more than 600 NEOs can be found by WFST. In this paper, we will characterize the structure of the negative part of the Zariski decomposition of $K_{\mathcal{F}}+D$ for a foliated surface $(X,\mathcal{F})$ associated with a $\mathbb{Q}$-divisor $D$ whenever $K_{\mathcal{F}}+D$ is pseudoeffective. As applications, we will study the effective behavior of the multiple linear system $|m(K_{\mathcal{F}}+D)|$ for any sufficiently divisible integer $m>0$.

Enhancing the external validity of trial results is essential for their applicability to real-world populations. However, violations of the positivity assumption can limit both the generalizability and transportability of findings. To address positivity violations in estimating the average treatment effect for a target population, we propose a framework that integrates characterizing the underrepresented group and performing sensitivity analysis for inference in the original target population. Our approach helps identify limitations in trial sampling and improves the robustness of trial findings for real-world populations. We apply this approach to extend findings from phase IV trials of treatments for opioid use disorder to a real-world population based on the 2021 Treatment Episode Data Set.

Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are usually classified into long/short categories according to their durations, but controversy still exists in this aspect. Here we re-examine the long/short classification of GRBs and further compare the cosmological distribution and evolution of each potential subclass. A large number of $Swift/BAT$ GRBs are analyzed in this study. The Gaussian mixture model is used to fit the duration distribution as well as the joint distribution of duration and hardness ratio, and the Akaike and Bayesian information criteria are adopted to assess the goodness of fit. It is found that three Gaussian components can better fit both the univariate and bivariate distributions, indicating that there are three subclasses in the $Swift/BAT$ GRBs, namely short, intermediate, and long subclasses. The non-parametric Efron-Petrosian and Lynden-Bell's $c^{-}$ methods are used to derive the luminosity function and formation rate from the truncated data of bursts with known redshift in each subclass. It is found that the luminosity distributions and birth rates of the three subclasses are different, further supporting the existence of the intermediate subclass in the $Swift/BAT$ GRBs., Comment: 11 pages, 3 figures, 2 tables

We perform a comprehensive bottom-up study of all the simplest lepton models based on non-holomorphic $A_{5}$ modular flavor symmetry, in which neutrinos are assumed to be Majorana particles and their masses are generated by the Weinberg operator or the type I seesaw mechanism. In the case that the generalized CP (gCP) symmetry is not considered, we find that 21 Weinberg operator models and 174 seesaw models can accommodate the experimental data in lepton sector, and all of them depend on six dimensionless free parameters and two overall scales. If gCP symmetry compatible with $A_{5}$ modular symmetry is imposed, one more free parameter would be reduced. Then only 4 of the 21 Weinberg operator models and 100 of the 174 seesaw models agree with the experimental data on lepton masses and mixing parameters. We explore the potential of conducting an experiment on the Chinese Space Station (CSS) to constrain beyond-the-standard-model (BSM) long-range spin- and velocity-dependent interactions, which are mediated by the exchange of an ultralight $\left(m_{z^{\prime}}<10^{-10}\text{eV}\right)$ or massless intermediate vector boson. We demonstrate that the proposed experiment on the CSS offers several advantages compared to ground-based experiments. The high speed can enhance the sensitivity to velocity-dependent interactions. The periodicity allows efficient extraction of signals from background noises, thereby strengthening the experiment's accuracy. Combining these advantages, one can improve the existing bounds on such interactions by up to five orders of magnitude. With advancements in sensor technology, we anticipate a further enhancement of four orders of magnitude, resulting in a total potential improvement of up to nine orders of magnitude., Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures; comments welcome

Delamination strength of REBCO is very important for its applications in large magnet projects. This work presented the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) investigation of the microstructures of the REBCO coated conductor to understand its delamination property. REBCO tape has successfully used in ultra-high field magnets. Mechanically, it is very strong in its length direction but is prone to delamination in the thickness direction. In an epoxy impregnated REBCO magnet, thermal strain alone could delaminate the conductor. Even for dry wound REBCO coil, a conductor with very low delamination strength is still a concern. Therefore, it is important to characterize the delamination strength of the conductor. In the past decade, significant progresses have been made in the characterization of REBCO delamination strength. Among several developed characterization methods, the 90 degree peel test is simple to setup and seems to offer reproducible results. Therefore, this test could be used as a reliable method to characterize the relative delamination strength of REBCO tapes for quality control purposes. This paper presents our development of 90 degree peel test method for quality assurance test of the 40 T all-superconducting magnet project at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. We investigated the factors that influence the test results, such as thickness and RRR of the copper layer. We found that peel strength increases with decreasing Cu thickness. We also found that peel strength is positively correlated with RRR of the copper. Despite these effects, 90 degree peel test is still a valuable quality assurance tool to evaluate delamination strength for large volume of tapes with the same copper thickness., Comment: ASC 2024 conference, Salt Lake City UT, Sept. 2-6, 2024

Residual resistance ratio (RRR) of Cu stabilizer in REBCO coated conductor is an important design parameter for REBCO magnets. In this work, we measured RRR of electroplated Cu stabilizer in commercial REBCO tapes. Over 130 samples were measured for the quality assurance programs of REBCO magnet projects at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, USA (NHMFL). The average RRR value was above 50. In order to investigate the factors that influence RRR, several samples were analyzed by using scanning electron microscopy, secondary ion mass spectroscopy, and inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy. We found that, in our samples, RRR was strongly correlated with the grain size. We demonstrated that RRR was primarily determined by grain boundary resistivity. Lower RRR was also strongly correlated with higher concentration of chlorine impurity. This is explained by that higher chlorine impurity hindered the grain growth in the room temperature self annealing process resulting smaller grain. Smaller grain resulted in lower RRR. In addition, thermal annealing significantly enhanced RRR. An activation energy of 0.4 eV was obtained from the annealing experiment which corresponds to the activation of Cu grain growth., Comment: 18 pages

REBCO coated conductor is a high temperature superconductor that has a wide range of applications, one of which is the current leads of magnet systems. In the design of current leads, it is crucial to minimize their thermal conduction while maintain stable electrical conduction. Therefore, thermal conductivity of various REBCO tapes need to be characterized and analyzed. In this research, we measured thermal conductivity of REBCO tapes in the longitudinal direction from 4.2 to 200 K. Samples with Cu, Ag and Ag-3at%Au stabilizers of various thicknesses were measured. The electrical conductivity of these stabilizers was also characterized by residual resistance ratio (RRR) measurements and correlated with the thermal conductivity results. We showed that in samples with 10 micron or less Cu stabilizer, thermal conduction is dominated by that of the Cu which has much higher thermal conductivity than the Hastelloy substrate and the superconductor layer. In addition, the sample with 3 micron Ag-3at%Au stabilizer has significantly lower thermal conductivity than that with 3 micron silver stabilizer. Altered and gangue quartz in hydrothermal veins from the Kubi Gold deposit in Dunkwa on Offin in the central region of Ghana are investigated for possible Au-associated indicator minerals and to provide the understanding and increase the knowledge of the mineral hosting and alteration processes in quartz. X-ray diffraction, air annealing furnace, differential scanning calorimetry, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy have been applied on different quartz types outcropping from surface and bedrocks at the Kubi Gold Mining to reveal the material properties at different temperatures. From the diffraction results of the fresh and annealed quartz samples, we find that the samples contain indicator and the impurity minerals iron disulfide, biotite, titanium oxide, and magnetite. These minerals, under oxidation process between 574-1400 {\deg}C temperatures experienced hematite alterations and a transformation from {\alpha}-quartz to \b{eta}-quartz and further to cristobalite as observed from the calorimetry scans for hydrothermally exposed materials. The energy dispersive spectroscopy revealed elemental components of Fe, S, Mg, K, Al, Ti, Na, Si, O, and Ca contained in the samples, and these are attributed to the impurity phase minerals observed in the diffraction. The findings also suggest that during the hydrothermal flow regime, impurity minerals and metals can be trapped by voids and faults. Under favorable temperature conditions, the trapped minerals can be altered to change color at different depositional stages by oxidation and reduction processes leading to hematite alteration which is a useful indicator mineral in mineral exploration., Comment: 25 pages, 8 figures

In the formalism of the non-supersymmetric modular invariance approach to the flavour problem the elements of the Yukawa coupling and fermion mass matrices are expressed in terms of polyharmonic Maa{\ss} modular forms of level $N$ in addition to the standard modula forms of the same level and a small number of constant parameters. Non-trivial polyharmonic Maa{\ss} forms exist for zero, negative and positive integer modular weights. Employing the finite modula group $S_4$ as a flavour symmetry group and assuming that the three left-handed lepton doublets furnish a triplet irreducible representation of $S_4$, we construct all possible 7- and 8-parameter lepton flavour models in which the neutrino masses are generated either by the Weinberg effective operator or by the type I seesaw mechanism. We identify the phenomenologically viable models and obtain predictions for each of these models for the neutrino mass ordering, the absolute neutrino mass scale, the Dirac and Majorana CP-violation phases and, correspondingly, for the sum of neutrino masses and the neutrinoless double beta decay effective Majorana mass. We comment on how these models can be tested and conclude that they are all falsifiable. This paper presents an approach to improve text embedding models through contrastive fine-tuning on small datasets augmented with expert scores. It focuses on enhancing semantic textual similarity tasks and addressing text retrieval problems. The proposed method uses soft labels derived from expert-augmented scores to fine-tune embedding models, preserving their versatility and ensuring retrieval capability is improved. The paper evaluates the method using a Q\&A dataset from an online shopping website and eight expert models. Results show improved performance over a benchmark model across multiple metrics on various retrieval tasks from the massive text embedding benchmark (MTEB). The method is cost-effective and practical for real-world applications, especially when labeled data is scarce.

Low-rank approximation is a fundamental technique in modern data analysis, widely utilized across various fields such as signal processing, machine learning, and natural language processing. Despite its ubiquity, the mechanics of low-rank approximation and its application in adaptation can sometimes be obscure, leaving practitioners and researchers with questions about its true capabilities and limitations. This paper seeks to clarify low-rank approximation and adaptation by offering a comprehensive guide that reveals their inner workings and explains their utility in a clear and accessible way. Our focus here is to develop a solid intuition for how low-rank approximation and adaptation operate, and why they are so effective. We begin with basic concepts and gradually build up to the mathematical underpinnings, ensuring that readers of all backgrounds can gain a deeper understanding of low-rank approximation and adaptation. We strive to strike a balance between informal explanations and rigorous mathematics, ensuring that both newcomers and experienced experts can benefit from this survey. Additionally, we introduce new low-rank decomposition and adaptation algorithms that have not yet been explored in the field, hoping that future researchers will investigate their potential applicability.

Approximate message passing (AMP) algorithms are iterative methods for signal recovery in noisy linear systems. In some scenarios, AMP algorithms need to operate within a distributed network. To address this challenge, the distributed extensions of AMP (D-AMP, FD-AMP) and orthogonal/vector AMP (D-OAMP/D-VAMP) were proposed, but they still inherit the limitations of centralized algorithms. In this letter, we propose distributed memory AMP (D-MAMP) to overcome the IID matrix limitation of D-AMP/FD-AMP, as well as the high complexity and heavy communication cost of D-OAMP/D-VAMP. We introduce a matrix-by-vector variant of MAMP tailored for distributed computing. Leveraging this variant, D-MAMP enables each node to execute computations utilizing locally available observation vectors and transform matrices. Meanwhile, global summations of locally updated results are conducted through message interaction among nodes. Motivated by the recent progress in developing high-precision relativistic chiral nucleon-nucleon interactions, we study the antinucleon-nucleon interaction in a hybrid approach where the real part of the potential is constructed in the leading-order covariant chiral effective field theory, and the imaginary part is described following the procedure adopted in the heavy baryon chiral effective field theory. The phase shifts and inelasticities with $J\leq 1$ are obtained and compared to those calculated in the next-to-leading order heavy baryon chiral effective field theory. For most partial waves, the descriptions of phase shifts and inelasticities in the hybrid approach are comparable to those in the next-to-leading order heavy baryon chiral effective field theory, confirming the relatively faster convergence of the relativistic approach observed in the nucleon-nucleon sector. In addition, we search for bound states/resonances near the $\bar{N}N$ threshold and find several structures that can be associated with those states recently observed by the BESIII Collaboration.

We perform a comprehensive analysis of the minimal eclectic flavor group $Q_{8}\rtimes S_3$ which is isomorphic to $GL(2,3)$, and all its irreducible representations are induced from the irreducible representations of $Q_{8}$ and $S_{3}$. The consistency conditions between EFG and generalized CP (gCP) symmetry are revisited, and we find the gCP symmetry compatible with the minimal EFG $Q_{8}\rtimes S_3$. The most general forms of K\"ahler potential and superpotential based on $Q_{8}\rtimes S_3$ are discussed, and the corresponding fermion mass matrices are presented. A concrete lepton model invariant under $Q_{8}\rtimes S_3$ and gCP is constructed, in which the experimental data of all six lepton masses and six mixing parameters can be successfully described through seven real input parameters. The model predicts a vanishing effective mass $m_{\beta\beta}$ in neutrinoless double beta decay., Comment: 39 pages, 1 figures

Chiral trajectories of dynamically generated resonances are intimately connected to the SU(3) breaking pattern and their nature. From an analysis of a recent LQCD simulation on the $\pi\Sigma-\bar{K}N$ scattering for $I=0$ and the study of the quark mass dependence of the octet baryon masses, we determine for the first time unambiguously the trajectories of the two poles associated to the $\Lambda(1405)$ towards the symmetric point over the $\mathrm{Tr}[M]=C$ trajectory accurately. At $m_\pi\simeq 200$ MeV, our results are consistent with the lattice simulations, and the extrapolations to the physical point, based on the NLO chiral Lagrangians, agree well with existing experimental analyses. We predict qualitatively similar trajectories at LO and up to NLO, consistent with the LO interaction's dominance. At the SU(3) symmetric point up to NLO in this trajectory, the lower pole is located at $E^{(1)}=1583(5)(1)$ MeV, being dominantly a SU(3) singlet, while the higher pole belongs to the octet representation with a mass of $E^{(8)}=1585(8)(2)$ MeV. We also make predictions on the evolution of the two poles over the $m_s=m_{s,\mathrm{phy}}$ trajectory. There have been extended and heated discussions on the nature of the two exotic states, $Z_c(3900)$ and $Z_{cs}(3985)$, particularly whether they are resonances or virtual states. We demonstrate for the first time that the femtoscopic technique can be used to unambiguously distinguish between such two scenarios. More concretely, we show that the $D^0D^{*-}$/$D^0D_s^{*-}$ correlation functions are significantly different in the high-momentum region, especially in small collision systems of the order of 1 fm, as produced in pp collisions at the LHC, which can unambiguously tell whether $Z_c(3900)$/$Z_{cs}(3985)$ is a resonant or a virtual state. For the $Z_{cs}(3985)$, the $D^0D_s^{*-}$ results at zero momentum are significantly different in the two scenarios. In the past two decades, a plethora of hadronic states beyond the conventional quark model of $q\bar{q}$ mesons and $qqq$ baryons have been observed experimentally, which motivated extensive studies to understand their nature and the non-perturbative strong interaction. Since most of these exotic states are near the mass thresholds of a pair of conventional hadrons, the prevailing picture is that they are primarily hadronic molecules. In principle, one can verify the molecular nature of these states by thoroughly comparing their masses, decay widths, and production rates in a particular picture with experimental data. However, this is difficult or impossible. First, quantum mechanics allows for the mixing of configurations allowed by symmetries and quantum numbers. Second, data are relatively scarce because of their small production rates and the many difficulties in the experimental measurements. As a result, other alternatives need to be explored. This review summarizes three such approaches that can help disentangle the nature of the many exotic hadrons discovered. In the first approach, based on the molecular interpretations for some exotic states, we study the likely existence of multiplets of hadronic molecules related by various symmetries, such as isospin symmetry, SU(3)-flavor symmetry, heavy quark spin/flavor symmetry, and heavy antiquark diquark symmetry. In the second approach, starting from some hadronic molecular candidates, one can derive the underlying hadron-hadron interactions. With these interactions, one can study related three-body systems and check whether three-body bound states/resonances exist. In the third approach, one can turn to the femtoscopy technique to derive the hadron-hadron interactions, hence inaccessible. The flavor structure of quarks and leptons and quark-lepton unification are studied in the framework of Pati-Salam models with $A_4$ modular symmetry. The three generations of the left-handed and right-handed fermions are assigned to be triplet or singlets of $A_4$. The light neutrino masses are generated through the type-I seesaw mechanism. We perform a systematic classification of Pati-Salam models according to the transformations of matter fields under the $A_4$ modular symmetry, and the general form of the fermion mass matrix is given. We present four phenomenologically viable benchmark models which provide excellent descriptions of masses and flavor mixing of quarks and leptons, including neutrinos. In such models we find that the normal ordered neutrino mass spectrum is preferred over the inverted case, with neutrinoless double beta decay predicted to be too small to be observed by the next generation of experiments., Comment: 33 pages, 10 figures

Two-pole structures refer to the fact that two dynamically generated states are located close to each other between two coupled channels and have a mass difference smaller than the sum of their widths. Thus, the two poles overlap in the invariant mass distribution of their decay products, creating the impression that only one state exists. This phenomenon was first noticed for the $\Lambda(1405)$ and the $K_1(1270)$, and then for several other states. This report explicitly shows how the two-pole structures emerge from the underlying universal chiral dynamics describing the coupled-channel interactions between a heavy matter particle and a pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone boson. Nuclear saturation is a crucial feature in nuclear physics that plays a fundamental role in understanding various nuclear phenomena, ranging from properties of finite nuclei to those of neutron stars. However, a proper description of nuclear saturation is highly nontrivial in modern nonrelativistic~\textit{ab initio}~studies because of the elusive three-body forces. In this letter, we calculate the equation of state for nuclear matter in the relativistic Brueckner-Hartree-Fock (RBHF) framework with the leading order covariant chiral nuclear force. We show that a simultaneous description of the nucleon-nucleon scattering data and the saturation of the symmetric nuclear matter can be achieved. In this regard, the relativistic effects nicely explain the saturation of nuclear matter. As a result, the present study based on the covariant chiral nuclear force shows that in the RBHF framework, one can achieve saturation with a leading order covariant chiral nuclear force with only two-body forces, in contrast to the vast majorities of studies in the non-relativistic framework, where the next-to-next-to-leading order two-body and three-body chiral forces are needed. Assuming that $D_{s0}^{*}(2317)$ is a $DK$ molecular state with a binding energy of 45 MeV, we investigate the existence of four-hadron molecules, $DDKK$ and $D\Bar{D}K\Bar{K}$, with the Gaussian expansion method. Their binding energies are $138\sim155$ MeV and $123\sim163$ MeV below the mass thresholds of $DDKK$ and $D\Bar{D}K\Bar{K}$. The $D\Bar{D}K\Bar{K}$ state has a decay width of $36\sim54$ MeV due to the complex $K\Bar{K}$ interaction. Further theoretical studies of and experimental searches for such four-hadron molecules can help deepen the understanding of the nonperturbative strong interaction in a nontrivial way., Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures

Traditional executable delivery models pose challenges for IoT devices with limited storage, necessitating the download of complete executables and dependencies. Network solutions like NFS, designed for data files, encounter high IO overhead for irregular access patterns. This paper introduces SYSFLOW, a lightweight network-based executable delivery system for IoT. SYSFLOW delivers on-demand, redirecting local disk IO to the server through optimized network IO. To optimize cache hit rates, SYSFLOW employs server-side action-based prefetching, reducing latency by 45.1% to 75.8% compared to native Linux filesystems on SD cards. In wired environments, SYSFLOW's latency is up to 67.7% lower than NFS. In wireless scenarios, SYSFLOW performs 22.9% worse than Linux, comparable with Linux and outperforming NFS by up to 60.7%. While SYSFLOW's power consumption may be 6.7% higher than NFS, it offers energy savings due to lower processing time.

Motivated by the recent lattice QCD study of the $DD^*$ interaction at unphysical quark masses, we perform a theoretical study of the $DD^*$ interaction in covariant chiral effective field theory (ChEFT). In particular, we calculate the relevant leading-order two-pion exchange contributions. The results compare favorably with the lattice QCD results, supporting the conclusion that the intermediate-range $DD^*$ interaction is dominated by two-pion exchanges and the one-pion exchange contribution is absent. At a quantitative level, the covariant ChPT results agree better with the lattice QCD results than their non-relativistic counterparts, showing the relevance of relativistic corrections in the charm sector., Comment: 12 pages, 7 figures

We have investigated the modular binary octahedral group $2O$ as a flavor symmetry to explain the structure of Standard Model. The vector-valued modular forms in all irreducible representations of this group are constructed. We have classified all possible fermion masses models based on the modular binary octahedral group $2O$. A comprehensive numerical analysis is performed, and we present some benchmark quark/lepton masses models in well agreement with the experimental data. Notably we find a minimal modular invariant model for leptons and quarks, which is able to explain simultaneously the masses and mixing parameters of both quarks and leptons in terms of 14 real free parameters including the modulus $\tau$. Over the past few decades, significant progress has been made in quantum information technology, from theoretical studies to experimental demonstrations. Revolutionary quantum applications are now in the limelight, showcasing the advantages of quantum information technology and becoming a research hotspot in academia and industry. To enable quantum applications to have a more profound impact and wider application, the interconnection of multiple quantum nodes through quantum channels becomes essential. Building an entanglement-assisted quantum network, capable of realizing quantum information transmission between these quantum nodes, is the primary goal. However, entanglement-assisted quantum networks are governed by the unique laws of quantum mechanics, such as the superposition principle, the no-cloning theorem, and quantum entanglement, setting them apart from classical networks. Consequently, fundamental efforts are required to establish entanglement-assisted quantum networks. While some insightful surveys have paved the way for entanglement-assisted quantum networks, most of these studies focus on enabling technologies and quantum applications, neglecting critical network issues. In response, this paper presents a comprehensive survey of entanglement-assisted quantum networks. Alongside reviewing fundamental mechanics and enabling technologies, the paper provides a detailed overview of the network structure, working principles, and development stages, highlighting the differences from classical networks. Additionally, the challenges of building wide-area entanglement-assisted quantum networks are addressed. In the past two decades, one of the most puzzling phenomena discovered in hadron physics is that a nominal hadronic state can actually correspond to two poles on the complex energy plane. This phenomenon was first noticed for the $\Lambda(1405)$, then for $K_1(1270)$, and to a lesser extent for $D_0^*(2300)$. In this Letter, we show explicitly how the two-pole structures emerge from the underlying universal chiral dynamics describing the coupled-channel interactions between heavy matter particles and pseudo Nambu-Goldstone bosons. In particular, the fact that two poles appear in between the two dominant coupled channels can be attributed to the particular form of the leading order chiral potentials of the Weinberg-Tomozawa form. Their lineshapes overlap with each other because the degeneracy of the two coupled channels is only broken by explicit chiral symmetry breaking of higher order. We predict that for light-quark~(pion) masses heavier than their physical values (e.g., about 200 MeV in the $\Lambda(1405)$ case studied), the lower pole becomes a virtual state, which can be easily verified by future lattice QCD simulations. Furthermore, we anticipate similar two-pole structures in other systems, such as the isopin $1/2$ $\bar{K}\Sigma_c-\pi\Xi'_c$ coupled channel, which await for experimental discoveries., Comment: to appear in PRD as a letter

The spins of the pentaquark states $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$ play a decisive role in unraveling their nature, but remain undetermined experimentally. Assuming that they are $\Sigma_c\bar{D}^{*}$ bound states, we demonstrate how one can determine their spins by measuring the $\Sigma_c^+\bar{D}^{(*)0}$ correlation functions. We show that one can use the $\Sigma_c^+\bar{D}^0$ correlation function to fix the size of the Gaussian source and then determine the strength of the $\Sigma_c^+\bar{D}^{*0}$ interaction of spin $1/2$ and $3/2$ and therefore the spins of the $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$ states. Fast scanning-speed and low-power-consumption are becoming progressively more and more important in realizing high-performance chiplet optical phased arrays (OPAs). Here, we establish an integrated OPA based on thin-film lithium niobate-on-insulator (LNOI) platform to access these outstanding performances. Significantly, a lithium niobate (LN) OPA chip is implemented by 32/48 channels LN waveguides enabled by electro-optic modulations, which showcases the low power consumption (1.11nJ/{\pi}}) and fast operation speed (14.4 ns) promising the advantage of the LNOI platform for integrated OPAs. As results, we experimentally achieved a beam steering with a 62.2{\deg}*8.8{\deg} field of view (FOV) and a beam divergence of 2.4{\deg}*1.2{\deg}. Moreover, by employing sparse aperiodic arrays in waveguides design we obtained a significant reduction of lateral divergence to 0.33{\deg} for the radiation beam. The K\"ahler potentials of modular symmetry models receive unsuppressed contributions which may be controlled by a flavor symmetry, where the combination of the two symmetry types is referred to as eclectic flavor symmetry. After briefly reviewing the consistency conditions of eclectic flavor symmetry models, including with generalised (g)CP, we perform a comprehensive bottom-up study of eclectic flavor symmetry models based on $\Omega(1)\cong \Delta(27)\rtimes T^\prime$, consisting of the flavor symmetry $\Delta(27)$ in a semi-direct product with the modular symmetry $T^\prime$. The modular transformations of different $\Delta(27)$ multiplets are given by solving the consistency condition. The eight nontrivial singlets of $\Delta(27)$ are related by $T'$ modular symmetry, and they have to be present or absent simultaneously in any $\Omega(1)$ model. The most general forms of the superpotential and K\"ahler potential invariant under $\Omega(1)$ are discussed, and the corresponding fermion mass matrices are presented. Based on the eclectic flavor group $\Omega(1)$, two concrete lepton models which can successfully describe the experimental data of lepton masses and mixing parameters are constructed. For the two models without gCP, all six mixing parameters vary in small regions. A nearly maximal atmospheric mixing angle $\theta_{23}$ and Dirac CP phase $\delta_{CP}$ are obtained in the first model. After considering the compatible gCP symmetry and the assumption of $\Re \tau=0$ in the first model, the $\mu-\tau$ reflection symmetry is preserved in the charged lepton diagonal basis. As a consequence, the atmospheric mixing angle and Dirac CP phase are predicted to be maximal, and two Majorana CP phases are predicted to be $\pi$., Comment: 47 pages, 2 figures

The proposed method in this paper proposes an end-to-end unsupervised semantic segmentation architecture DMSA based on four loss functions. The framework uses Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling (ASPP) module to enhance feature extraction. At the same time, a dynamic dilation strategy is designed to better capture multi-scale context information. Secondly, a Pixel-Adaptive Refinement (PAR) module is introduced, which can adaptively refine the initial pseudo labels after feature fusion to obtain high quality pseudo labels. Experiments show that the proposed DSMA framework is superior to the existing methods on the saliency dataset. On the COCO 80 dataset, the MIoU is improved by 2.0, and the accuracy is improved by 5.39. On the Pascal VOC 2012 Augmented dataset, the MIoU is improved by 4.9, and the accuracy is improved by 3.4. The sole aim of this book is to give a self-contained introduction to concepts and mathematical tools in Bayesian matrix decomposition in order to seamlessly introduce matrix decomposition techniques and their applications in subsequent sections. However, we clearly realize our inability to cover all the useful and interesting results concerning Bayesian matrix decomposition and given the paucity of scope to present this discussion, e.g., the separated analysis of variational inference for conducting the optimization. We refer the reader to literature in the field of Bayesian analysis for a more detailed introduction to the related fields. This book is primarily a summary of purpose, significance of important Bayesian matrix decomposition methods, e.g., real-valued decomposition, nonnegative matrix factorization, Bayesian interpolative decomposition, and the origin and complexity of the methods which shed light on their applications. The mathematical prerequisite is a first course in statistics and linear algebra. Other than this modest background, the development is self-contained, with rigorous proof provided throughout.

Large high field superconducting magnets often requires high current superconducting cables. In order to develop these cables, a facility capable of providing high magnetic field with large sampling area as well as electrical current of tens of kA is essential. A superconducting transformer is an energy-efficient and low-cost way to provide large current to superconducting cables. Previously, we co-developed a superconducting transformer and successfully tested it to a maximum output current of 45 kA in zero magnetic field. In this work, this superconducting transformer is installed to the 12 T split solenoid magnet at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL). We calibrated it by using this facility to measure critical current of a NbTi Rutherford cable as a function of magnetic field up to 10 T, and compare the results with those available in the literature. In addition, a strand extracted from the NbTi cable is tested for critical current. The critical current of the extracted strand is scaled and compared with critical current of the cable. The accuracy of the critical current measurement using this superconducting transformer is discussed in detail. This work concludes the commissioning of this superconducting transformer which combined with the 12 T split magnet will provide unique cable testing capability for future cable development for the NHMFL and its users., Comment: 11 pages, 9 figures

The High-Luminosity LHC Accelerator Upgrade Project (AUP) in the U.S. will construct quadrupole magnets to be delivered to CERN. An initial 3 tons, over 600 km total length of conductor was procured under the LHC Accelerator R&D Program (LARP) for this project. Programs for quality control(QC) at the supplier and quality verification (QV) at the laboratories were solidified into components of the overall quality plan for strand procurement under AUP. Measurements of the critical current (Ic) and residual resistance ratio (RRR), and related probes and techniques, are central to the quality plan. Described below is the verification testing that has taken place at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL). Testing challenges are presented by the high sensitivity of these wires. Advances on no-insulation REBCO coil technology has made understanding and controlling contact resistivity increasingly im-portant. Praffin (wax) impregnation is a process that has been used for improving mechanical stability of insulated and no-insulation REBCO coils. Wax impregnation is beneficial in both no-insulation coils and insulated coils with additional copper sta-bilizer or multiple conductors. In the latter scenario, contact re-sistance between conductor and additional stabilizer is also im-portant. It is crucial to understand the effects of wax impregna-tion on contact resistivity (Rct). We designed and built an appa-ratus to use short REBCO samples which simulates the behavior of Rct in a pancake coil during the wax impregnation process. Rct was measured at 77 K before and after the wax impregnation. In addition, a single pancake coil was wound to test the effect of wax impregnation. This coil simulates the NHMFL 32 T magnet Coil A in winding stresses. Rct was measured at 77 K and 4.2 K before and after wax impregnation. We found that wax impregnation does not significantly change contact resistivity. This means that wax impregnation can be used in coils without compromising the current sharing ability between turns. Critical current (Ic) of REBCO tapes is strongly aniso-tropic with respect to the orientation of the magnetic field. Usually, Ic is at maximum when the ab-plane of the REBCO crystal is parallel to the magnetic field. In commercial REBCO tapes, it is commonly assumed that the ab-plane is coincide with the tape plane. While in fact, the ab-plane is near but slightly tilted from the tape plane in the transverse direction. To accurately measure Ic as a function of the field angle {\theta} , which is defined as the angle between ab-plane and the magnetic field direction, and to design and fabricate REBCO mag-net coils based on the measured Ic(angle), it is important to measure the tilt angle. In this work, we used x-ray diffraction (XRD) to measure the tilt angles at room temperature for a large number of REBCO conductors made by SuperPower Inc. Transmission electron mi-croscopy (TEM) was also used to investigate the origin of this tilt.
