Abstract

Composite Si@SiOxC anodes with high specific capacity are considered the most promising alternatives to graphite in industrial lithium-ion batteries. However, their cycling stability remains a limiting factor, which originates from the severe volume deformation of silicon-derived species. In this work, the cyclabilities of composite anodes are improved by unshackling the highly reversible lithium storage capabilities from the redundancy capacity of the anode materials. A selective LiF-induced lithiation strategy is proposed based on exploiting interface separation energy differences between LiF and the active materials. An interesting preferential redeposition of LiF is observed at the Si@SiOxparticles, which differentiates the otherwise similar lithiation potentials of LiCxand Li15Si4, thereby enabling lithium storage in graphite that was previously underused. The resulting full cell exhibits better rate and cycling performances without sacrificing specific capacity. In an ultra-high area capacity full cell (4.9 mA h cm−2), the capacity retention increases markedly from 66.1% to 94.2% after 300 cycles. The selective lithiation strategy developed herein is feasible for practical industrial applications, and importantly, it requires no changes to the existing mature lithium-ion battery manufacturing process. This study offers a new approach for the development of silicon/graphite composite anodes with long cycling lifetimes.

34. Characteristics of headache during and/or after coronary intervention: A prospective observational study.

Abstract

Introduction: Headache during and/or after coronary intervention is common but has received little attention from cardiologists and neurologists. The purpose of this study was to investigate the incidence, risk factors, and possible mechanism of coronary intervention-related headache.Methods: Using a prospective observational design, we identified consecutive patients with coronary intervention from May 2020 to August 2020. Patients were followed up with questionnaires immediately after coronary intervention and 24 h, 72 h, 1 week and 2 weeks after the intervention.Results: In total, 94 patients were enrolled, and 71 patients ultimately completed the 2-week follow-up. Among 71 patients, headache developed during and/or after coronary intervention in 18 (25.4%) patients. Two different types of headache related to coronary intervention were observed: One during and another after coronary intervention. Headache characteristics are described in detail. A history of previous headache was an independent risk factor for coronary intervention-related headache (p < 0.01).Conclusions: Coronary intervention-related headache has an incidence of 25.4%, and previous headache history was an independent risk factor. Moreover, considering that there are no relevant diagnostic criteria, it is suggested that the definition of coronary intervention-related headache should be established in the International Classification of Headache Disorders. 43. Influence of HNO3 on Particle Size of AlOOH Sol Prepared by Sol-Gel Method.

Abstract

To obtain an alumina filter membrane with a controllable pore size, A100H sol was prepared by the sol-gel method with aluminum isopropoxide used as the raw material and HNO3 as the peptizer. The influence of the amount of HNO3 on the particle size distribution of AlOOH colloidal particles was studied through nano-particle size analysis and Zeta potential measurement. The results show that when the ratio of HNO3 to aluminum isopropoxide R(n(HNO3) : n(Al(C3H7O3)3)) is in the range of 0.2 to 0.7, the average particle size of the colloidal particles increases with the increase of R, from 66.69 ran (R = 0.2) to 138. 80 ran (R = 0.7). The full width at half maxima (FWHM) of the particle size distribution of the colloidal particles increased from 144.62 nm to 261.14 nm. The reason for the increase of the particle size of AlOOH sol isn't the agglomeration of particles, but the increase of the hydrolysis reaction constant of aluminum isopropoxide, which increases the total amount of the intermediate products per unit volume involved in the polycondensation reaction, thereby promoting the growth of AlOOH colloidal particles. 44. An in-situgenerated composite solid-state electrolyte towards high-voltage lithium metal batteries

Abstract

The solid-state electrolyte (SSE) has promising applications in next-generation lithium (Li) metal batteries (LMBs) because of its significantly enhanced safety and more compatible interface characteristics than flammable traditional liquid electrolytes. However, only a few attempts have achieved high-performance high-voltage LMBs, which is attributed to the fact that both high ionic conductivity and good compatibility with electrodes can hardly be achieved simultaneously. Herein, a composite solid-state electrolyte (CSE) based on star-shaped siloxane-based polymer electrolyte coupled with Li6.75La3Zr1.75Ta0.25O12(LLZTO) ceramic fillers is designed and prepared through a facile in-situpolymerization method. The obtained CSE exhibits high ionic conductivity (i.e., 1.68 × 10−4S cm−1at a temperature of 60 °C), superior anodic stability, and high Li-ion transference number (i.e., 0.53) because of the multifunctional synergistic effect of the polymer electrolyte with LLZTO ceramic fillers. Moreover, the as-developed CSE shows excellent compatibility with Li anodes. As a result, the as-developed CSE enables the development of long-life 4.4-V-class solid-state LMBs with a LiCoO2cathode, with 79.7% capacity retention and 99.74% average Coulombic efficiency after 500 cycles at a 0.5 C rate. Postmortem analysis of cycled batteries confirms that such superior battery performance can be mainly ascribed to the formation of a compatible electrode/electrolyte interface. Furthermore, excellent safety features can be observed in LiCoO2/Li pouch batteries. This work provides an important guide for the rational design of SSEs for high-voltage LMBs.
