In this study we identified leader mindfulness as a characteristic relevant to facilitating employee voice behavior, and examined leader–member exchange (LMX) as a mediator of this relationship. Via a field study of supervisor–subordinate dyads (197 subordinates and 62 supervisors) in a large retailing company in East China, we revealed a partial mediation model in which leader mindfulness was positively related to employee voice behavior both directly and indirectly through LMX. Our findings suggest that attention should be paid to mindfulness in organizations, and leaders should aim to develop highquality LMX relationships with their subordinates.

Background While a growing number of studies focus on men who have sex with men (MSM), they typically ignore the heterogeneity of gender minorities within the MSM population. The recognition of new sub-groups among gender minorities (i.e., transgender and gender non-conforming), who also identify as MSM, play a considerable role in new HIV infections in China. Information on the psychosocial factors and HIV-related sexual behaviors require further consideration to understand the prevalence of HIV infection among MSM within these gender minority sub-groups. Methods From September 2017 to January 2018, MSM without HIV were recruited in Wuhan, Nanchang, and Changsha cities in China. Participants were asked to fill out a structured self-administered questionnaire to assess depression, perceived social support, resilience, identity concealment, and HIV-related risky sexual behaviors. Results A total of 715 MSM completed the structured questionnaire, the number of MSM identifying as gender minorities were 63 and accounted for 8.8% of the population. Compared to the cisgender MSM population, transgender MSM were more likely to have a one-night stand/occasional partner (AOR = 3.49, 95% CI =1.02–11.98), to have sex after drug use in the past 6 months (AOR = 2.57, 95%CI =1.05–6.29), and to have reported a significantly lower likelihood of identity concealment (mean difference = − 3.30, 95%CI = -5.86, − 0.74, P = 0.01). Conclusions The findings highlight the significance of providing targeted interventions for different gender minorities within the MSM population. Research is required to further understand the relationship between gender identity, mental health, and HIV-related sexual behaviors.

NixMn3−xO4 and NixMn3−xO4/T (T represents tourmaline) catalysts with a double-layer hollow structure were prepared by a rigid template method for low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3 (NH3-SCR). The catalytic activity and SO2 tolerance performance of NixMn3−xO4 catalyst were enhanced by the addition of 2 wt% tourmaline. The results showed the addition of tourmaline could affect the growth, shell thickness and redox property of the NixMn3−xO4 catalysts. The relative contents of Mn4+ and surface chemical oxygen were also increased by the addition of tourmaline, which were beneficial for improving the SCR activity, the catalyst showed 100% NO conversion in a low-temperature range of 125–240 °C. The mechanism of SCR reaction and SO2 tolerance were analyzed by In-situ DRIFTS. The SCR reaction process mostly follows Langmuir–Hinshelwood (L–H) mechanisms. The primary NOx adsorption materials on NixMn3−xO4/T catalyst were nitrate bidentate and bridge nitrate, which was not affected by SO2, and it had excellent SO2 tolerance at 150 ℃.

We proposed a theoretical model explaining why workplace fun might enhance the proactive behavior of employee voice, and explored the mediating role of psychological safety in this relationship. Data were collected from a sample of 223 part-time students at three universities located in China, who were taking a Master of Business Administration course. The results of structural equation modeling show that workplace fun had a direct, significantly positive relationship with employee voice behavior, and that there was also an indirect effect through the mediator of psychological safety. These findings shed light on the ways in which workplace fun helps to increase employee voice behavior. Managers of organizations should consider ways to create a work environment that is fun to promote employees' psychological safety and voice behavior. Limitations and directions for future research are discussed.

Background: Despite the relationship between Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and depressive symptoms, which has been well conducted in general populations, little is known about homosexual and bisexual populations, especially female sexual minorities in China. This study aims to investigate the prevalence of ACEs and depressive symptoms and to analyze the relationship between them among female sexual minorities in China.Methods: The eligible participants were aged 16 years or older who report their sexual orientation as homosexual or bisexual. The data was collected through anonymous questionnaires under the help of Lespark in Bejing from July 18 to December 29, 2018. Univariate analysis and multiple linear regression analyses were performed to explore the relationship between ACEs and depressive symptoms among female sexual minorities. All statistical analyses were conducted by the software of SPSS 22.0.Results: Among 301 female sexual minorities,51.5% reported at least one ACE, in which emotional neglect (22.6%) and emotional abuse (22.3%) were common ACEs. 24.6% reported that they had suffered only one type of ACE, and 10% have suffered four or more ACEs. As for depressive symptoms of female sexual minorities, the detection rate was 56.1%. The multiple linear regression analyses showed that abuse (β=2.95, p＜0.05) and neglect (β=3.21,p＜0.05) were positively correlated with depressive symptoms and female sexual minorities with three (β=4.11, p＜0.05) or more (β=6.02, p＜0.001) ACEs suffered from more depressive symptoms than others. Conclusion: Both ACEs and depressive symptoms were at high prevalence among female sexual minorities in China. ACEs were associated with depressive symptoms, especially childhood abuse and neglect experiences that have a significant effect on female sexual minorities’ mental health.

We examined the impact of social media use on employee innovative performance, and the psychological mechanism underlying this relationship. Our hypothesis was that social media use would have a positive influence on employee innovative performance and that work engagement would act as a mediator in this relationship. We employed structural equation modeling to investigate this mediating role with 298 employees of a large enterprise in China. Results of a time-lagged survey showed that both social media use and work engagement were significantly correlated with innovative performance, and work engagement partially mediated the social media use–innovative performance relationship. These findings shed light on how social media use affects employee innovative performance. Theoretical and practical implications and directions for future research are discussed.

Objective To develop a team approach to applying the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health Rehabilitation Set (ICF-RS) in clinical evaluation. Design A Delphi study. Subjects Experts from rehabilitation institutions in China including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Methods A 2-round Delphi survey and expert panel discussion were used to generate the team approach. Firstly, the candidate types of professionals for team rating were chosen through expert panel discussion. A carefully selected group of participants was then asked to score the suitability of physicians, nurses, or other candidate therapists for each category's rating, applying the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health Rehabilitation Set in clinical evaluation. After initial assignment of category to types of professionals, a second round Delphi survey was conducted to quantify the professionals' agreement with the category assignments and generate a final team evaluation approach. Results Thirty of the category assignments achieved consensus. The final team evaluation approach assigned 6 categories to physicians to evaluate, 7 categories to nurses, 9 categories to physiotherapists, and 8 to occupational therapists. Conclusion Such a team evaluation approach could facilitate implementation of the ICF-RS in clinical settings and provide a more convenient assessment tool for professionals.

To address the problems of high reconstruction error and long training time when using Stack Nonsymmetric Deep Autoencoder (SNDAE) feature extraction technology for intrusion detection, Adam Nonsymmetric Deep Autoencoder (ANDAE) is proposed based on SNDAE. The Adam optimization algorithm is used to update network parameters during training so that the loss function can quickly converge to the ideal value. Under the premise of not affecting the effect of feature extraction, the network structure is simplified, and the training time of the network is reduced to realize the efficient extraction of the rapid growth of high-dimension and nonlinear network traffic features. For the low-dimensional prominent features extracted by ANDAE, Random Forest is used for classification to detect intrusion action, and a network intrusion detection model based on ANDAE feature extraction is implemented. The experimental results on the NSL-KDD and the CIC-IDS2017 datasets show that, compared to the SNDAE-based intrusion detection model, the ANDAE model has an average increase of 6.78% in accuracy, an average of 13.06% in recall, and an average of 14.9% in F1 scores. Feature extraction time is reduced by 23.1% on average. Thus, the ANDAE model is an intrusion detection solution, which can simultaneously improve detection accuracy and time efficiency.

However, while research focuses on the prevalence of MSM, it ignores the diversity of gender minorities within the MSM population. Furthermore, information on the mental health and HIV-related risky sexual behavior also requires consideration to understand the prevalence and new rates of infection both of MSM and within these gender minority sub-groups. Methods From September 2017 to December 2017, MSM were recruited in Wuhan, Nanchang, and Changsha cities in China. Participants were asked to fill out a structured self-designed questionnaire to assess depression, perceived social support, resilience, identify concealment, and HIV-related risky sexual behaviors. Results A total of 715 MSM completed the structured questionnaire, the number of gender minorities identifying as MSM were 63 and accounted for 8.8% of the population. Compared with the cisgender MSM population, transgender MSM had a significantly lower likelihood of identity concealment (P = 0.016, 95%CI = 0.16, 5.79), were more likely to have one-night stand/occasional partner in the past six months (AOR = 3.90, 95% CI = 1.17–13.03), have sex after drug use (AOR = 2.84, 95%CI = 1.18–6.79), and engage in commercial sexual behavior in the past six months (AOR = 6.09, 95%CI = 1.003–36.94). In terms of gender non-conforming MSM, the differences were not significant for mental health and HIV-related risky sexual behaviors in comparison to the cisgender MSM population. Conclusions It is critical to create targeted interventions tailored towards the different gender minority identities among the MSM population. Further research is necessary to understand the relationship between gender identity, mental health, and HIV-related risky sexual behaviors.

Myopia is the most common optical disorder in the world, and wavelength defocus induced ametropia and myopia have attracted great attention. The objective was to identify and quantify scleral proteins involved in the response to the wavelength defocus. Guinea pigs were randomly divided into 3 groups that received different lighting conditions for 8 weeks: white light, short wavelength light, and long wavelength light. Refraction and axial length were measured, Hematoxylin-Eosin staining and transmission electron microscope were adopted to observe the scleral structure, and scleral proteome was also detected to analyze protein abundance by employing TMT labeling method. After light stimulation, the long- and short -wavelength light induced myopic and hyperopic effect on the guinea pig's eye and induced distinct protein signature, respectively. 186 dyregulated proteins between the short- and long-wavelength group were identified, which were mainly located in extracellular region and involved in metabolic process. We also found that 5 proteins in the guinea pigs scleras in response to wavelength defocus were also human myopic candidate targets, suggesting functional overlap between dyregulated proteins in scleral upon exposure to wavelength defocus and genes causing myopia in humans. Significance Wavelength defocus induces refractive errors and leads to myopia or hyperopia. However, sclera proteomics respond to wavelength defocus is lacking, which is crucial to understanding how wavelength defocus influences refractive development and induces myopia. In this proteome analysis, we identified unique protein signatures response to wavelength defocus in sclera of guinea pigs, identified potential mechanisms contributing to myopia formation, and found that several human myopia-related genes may involve in response to wavelength defocus. The results of this study provide a foundation to understand the mechanisms of myopia and wavelength defocus induced ametropia.

Neutrophils, immune cells crucial for protecting against invading pathogens, are important in sepsis. Neutrophil migration is regulated by chemokine receptors and their cognate ligands. Our previous study investigated the effect of n‑butanol extract from Folium isatidis on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‑induced septic shock. The present study stimulated neutrophils with LPS to explore the influence of LPS on cell. Neutrophils were then pretreated with n‑butanol extract from Folium isatidis followed by LPS to examine the effect of this extract on neutrophil chemotaxis. The results showed that LPS decreased the expression levels of CXC‑chemokine receptor (CXCR)1, CXCR2 and L‑selectin (CD62L), and increased the expression of interleukin‑8 (IL‑8) by neutrophils. The addition of n‑butanol extract from Folium isatidis inhibited this LPS‑induced downregulation of CXCR1, CXCR2 and CD62L, and decreased the expression of IL‑8 on neutrophils. In addition, n‑butanol extract promoted myeloperoxidase activity in neutrophils. Taken together, LPS downregulated the expression of chemokine receptors, leading to the failure of neutrophils to migrate to sites of infection. The addition of n‑butanol extract, which promoted the ability of neutrophils to migrate, is a natural product and potential therapeutic agent with which to target neutrophil chemotaxis during LPS stimulation.

In the title molecule, atoms in the acylthiourea moiety are able to form a plane due to the intramolecular hydrogen-bond N1–H1–O1, and makes a dihedral angle of 3.0° with the benzene ring, while the acylthiourea makes a dihedral angle of 7.6° with the pyrazole ring. The preliminary biological test shows that the title compound has some acaricidal activity. Glycogen storage disease type‑Ia (GSD‑Ia) is a rare autosomal recessive disease caused by a mutation in the gene encoding glucose‑6‑phosphate‑α (G6PC). The present study reported the case of a 3‑month‑old female Chinese patient with GSD‑Ia born to consanguineous parents. The aim of the present study was to identify the precise mutation of the G6PC gene associated with this family and to describe the phenotypic characteristics of the patient. A comprehensive examination was performed on the patient, including physical examination, vein blood gas analysis, abdominal sonography and biochemical analyses. In addition, gene sequencing was performed on the coding region of the G6PC gene to identify the mutation. The patient was diagnosed with GSD‑Ia and a G6PC missense mutation of c.518T>C (p.L173P) located in a highly conserved area was identified. The mutation is in a non‑helical region of the protein, which previous studies have suggested should result in a lesser effect on G6PC enzymatic activity and milder phenotypic characteristics compared with mutations located in helical regions. However, the severity of the disease phenotype in the subject of the present study was inconsistent with that predicted from her genotype. The patient suffered from serious hypoglycemia, lactic acidosis, increased triglycerides, hepatic dysfunction, clear hepatomegaly and nephromegaly. The incidence of the p.L173P mutation may be relatively high in the Chinese population. Knowledge of the various phenotypic presentations of the p.L173P mutation may beneficial for future investigations.

A competitive time-resolved fluoroimmunoassay (TR-FIA) was developed for the determination of diethylstilbestrol (DES) residues in chicken liver. Prior to analysis, the residues were extracted from chicken liver with acetonitrile. The assay could be used in a quantitative or qualitative mode. The limit of detection (LOD) was determined to be 0.05 ngg(-1), and the limit of quantification (LOQ) was less than 0.18 ngg(-1). The intraassay variations were less than 10%, and the interassay variations were from 9.8 to 12.7%. The mean recoveries established at six concentration levels varied from 84.3 to 109.6%, and the coefficients of variation were from 8.3 to 12.4%. The results obtained by the TR-FIA and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) showed a good correlation. The established TR-FIA was validated for the determination of incurred chicken liver and was confirmed by liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). This proposed technique could be applied to routine residue analysis.

To evaluate the relationship between human papilloma virus (HPV) infection and the occurrence, recurrence and malignant transformation of nasal inverted papilloma (NIP).With comprehensive retrieval of related literature that had been published in databases included Pubmed (1990--2011), Cochrane Library, CNKI (1979-2011), VIP (1989-2011), CBM (1990-2011) and WANFANG Meta-analysis software Rev-Man 5.0 was used to analyze the raw data and to calculate the value of combined odd ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI).According to Meta-analysis, the occurrence group between HPV and NIP, the OR was 34.44 and 95% CI was 12.96-91.56; the recurrence group, the OR was 3.66 and 95% CI was 1.77-7.56, to the high-risk HPV, the OR was 1.94 and 95% CI was 0.30-12.58; the malignant transformation group, the OR was 1.79 and 95% CI was 0.94-3.40 to the high-risk HPV, the OR was 49.35 and 95% (CI was 0.45-11.23.HPV may play an important role in the occurrence and recurrence of NIP and high-risk HPV was closely related to the progress of NIP.

Terbium(III)-doped mesoporous silicas were synthesized, and the states of terbium ions in the silica frameworks were investigated. The mesopores were preserved upon doping at terbium ion molar concentrations relative to (Si+Tb) up to 15 mol %, indicating the interaction of terbium ions with Si–O bonds. Significant morphological changes of the particles were observed with increasing the doping concentration. The shapes of the photoluminescence spectra due to the transitions of 5D4 → 7F6 and 5D4 → 7F5 were indicative of the presence of terbium ions in the silica matrix, and the quantum efficiency (2.1–2.8%) and lifetime (1.6–1.9 ms) decreased with increasing the doping concentration up to 15 mol %. Therefore, the terbium ions are considered to be located inside the amorphous silica frameworks, where they electrostatically interact with the O atoms of silanol and siloxane groups.
