Today, the extended transport infrastructure along with the communications and information technologies are to a large extent the generator of integration processes all over Europe. Novelties in this area have brought about important changes in the production conditions, distribution and consumption, which exert influence on the changing of economic structure, including similar changes in social, cultural and political relations. In the future, the social and economic development of Slovenia will depend on proportionate development of regions and on the embodiment of Slovenia in a wider European space. The transport infrastructure of Slovenia, along with its transport system, should be integrated in the European transport system in such a way that the developmental interest of Slovenia is fully highlighted and included to an optimum extent in the course of Slovenia's integration to the EU.

Aktualna događanja na svjetskom i europskom pomorskom tržištu ograničavaju razvojne mogućnosti sjevernojadranskih luka. Sjevernojadranski prometni pravac s lukama Trstom, Koprom i Rijekom kao početno završnim postajama svoju razvojnu koncepciju i strategiju može temeljiti kompatibilnim uklapanjem u promjene u kopnenom zaleđu i na pomorskom tržištu Mediterana i to na način da se razvija feeder sustav i da se optimiziraju svi oblici pomorskog putničkog prometa. Luke Rijeka, Koper i Trst mogu se optimalno uklopiti u suvremene procese svjetske i europske prometne scene kao luke male ili srednje veličine u sustavu luka Mediterana., Modern changes on the World and Mediterranean seaborne trade market are somewhat limiting the development potential of Northern Adriatic ports. The basis for the future strategic development of the Northern Adriatic maritime trade route along with its ports of Trieste, Koper and Rijeka as starting /ending points can be a concept of the compatible reaction to the changes in the Mediterranean by way of developing feeder service short maritime distance lines towards the Middle East and by way of optimising of all of the maritime passenger transport. The ports of Rijeka , Koper and Trieste can optimally be a part of the modern World and Europe transportation scene as small or middle size Mediterranean hub ports.

U ovoj su raspravi sustavno i pregledno, etimološki i semantički obrazloženi pojmovi: transport, promet, komunikacije, konvencionalni, kombinirani i multimodalni transport, tehnika prometa, tehnologija prometa, organizacija prometa, ekonomika prometa, pravo prometa, te važnije vrste prometa (i transporta). Zatim su definirane prometne znanosti i prometne aktivnosti, logističke znanosti i prometnologističke znanosti, logističke aktivnosti i prometno/ogističke aktivnosti, ali sve to u kaleidoskopu interdisciplinarnosti i multidisciplinamosti. Nakon sažeto obrazloženih najvažnijih vrsta logistike, kao što su: primama, sekundama, tercijarna, kvartama, kvintama, mega, makro, mikro i metalogistika, proizvodna, trgovinska, prometna, špediterska, skladišna, osigurateljna, ,zdravstvena, socijalna, obrazovna, kulturološka, sportska, komunalna, stambena i vojna logistika, te ekonomska, financijska, pravna, tehnička, tehnološka logistika, marketing-logistika, menedžment-logistika(. . .), posebna se pozornost posvetila kompatibilnosti i komplementarnosti prometnih znanosti i prometnih aktivnosti i logističkih znanosti i logističkih aktivnosti, a u okviru ovih drugih i logističkoprometnih znanosti i logističkoprometnih aktivnosti. Takve spoznaje predstavljaju kvalitetnu osnovu za suvremeni pristup razradbi problematike interdisciplinamog i multidisciplinamog obrazovanja i znanstvenog usavršavanja prometnih i prometnologističkih menadžera i drugih prometnih i prometnologističkih kadrova (tj. eksperata) na svim razinama, te analizu bitnih problema i iznalaženju primjerenih rješenja afirmacije prometnih znanosti i logističkih znanosti u kaleidoskopu kompatibilnosti i komplementarnosti.

The trends in the development of the maritime traffic show us that the need for bigger container shipments is increasing steadily. At present there are quite a few big container ports being constructed in the Mediterranean which are bound to come in handy for the container ships of the last generation. Thus the Mediterranean will not remain merely a transit sea, but will become interesting for those ships too, which have only passed through it on their way to the west-European ports.

Fluid cargo is unavoidable support of a road traffic and industry. As the Republic of Croatia does not possess sufficient sources of oil it is necessary to import them. Development of specialized terminals for those kinds of cargo shortened the time of tankers staying in ports and in many ways prevented the possibilities of catastrophe. But, since the need for those kinds of cargo is greater, and because of the development of tourism and workers protection in their working places, and because of the rising interest for ecology, planning and projecting of off shore terminals can be emphasized as an essential progress. To observe all important elements for choosing of type and for installation of terminals, as well as to define predispositions of the Republic of Croatia for usage of off shore terminals are the basic aims of this study.

Shipping is largely a free market, leaving a considerable scope for ship owners to set their operating policy. This includes the level of expenditure on safety, pollution prevention, maintenance costs and degree of compliance with international standards. This is possible because of the approach and attention of the different bodies in change of ensuring or monitoring compliance. Safe, efficient and pollution free transport can only be achieved if all sectors contribute equally, a ship construction and maintenance, but also the equipment, manning, competence of management and operations. Enforcement is necessary to safeguard standards and fair competition and strict application is crucial to avoid penalizing the high owner standard. This paper deals with the safety and environmental standards improvement in shipping, at the same time making ship operations economically more attractive.

The increase of their share in the structure of sea transported cargo, and waste that ends up in the sea, as well as developing of common awareness about the dangers threatening our environment by all kinds of industrial pollution, have led to great changes. This has also resulted in a number of requirements that had to be fulfilled by the ports and by the ships. The specialization of terminals by equipping them with modern and specialized equipment and the forming of completely different technological process of cargo handling attempt to realize a higher level of operating safety and to achieve the best possible economic results. The pollution control management as a comparatively recent science offers basic guidelines for the behavior of those whose activities can influence the reduction and control of releasing the harmful substances into the environment. The analysis of costs and benefits of pollution control shows the advantages of production planning, which means the use of inorganic substances and waste disposal.

Troškovi goriva čine značajni dio pogonskih troškova broda i to je najveća pojedinačna stavka tipične veličine od 40% ukupnih pogonskih troškova. Kada se također uzme u obzir priroda nepostojanosti tržišta i današnji problemi zaštite okoliša, onda ne začuđuje što tema ovog rada i dalje pobuđuje zanimanje. Utjecaj nadolazeće kontrole emisije SOx utjecati će na tržište, što će se sažeto prikazati. Oni koji upravljaju brodovima ili koji su pratili novine na tržištu, također trebaju znati da je industrija goriva otkrila novu tvar u tragu nazvanu polipropilen. Industrija goriva odredila je znatne resurse za istraživanje problema. Istraživanja su u tijeku i koristi se mogućnost da se aktualni podaci predoče u ovom radu.

Položaj Hrvatske ima značajne prednosti u odnosu na njenu prometni i geostratešku lokaciju unutarCentralne Europe. Hrvatska je smještene na granici glavnih prometnih tokova, što je jedan od značajnih prednostizemlje.Izgradnja prometne infrastrukture visoke razine usluge je ekstremno važan tehnološki, ekonomski i ekološki zadatak. i od temeljnih je preduvjeta za uspješnu integraciju Hrvatske u razvijenu Europu visokih standarda u svim područjima života.Izrađeni su prijedlozi glavnih prometnih koridora u Hrvatskoj. To će omogućiti optimalno šovezivanje i integraciju u europske prometne koridore.

Razvojem novih tehnika i iznalaženjem tehnologija u pomorskoj industriji, prisutna je i već danas jako aktualizirana činjenica, da se na sve više brodova različitih namjena ugrađuju sustavi električne propulzije. Elektropropulzija otvara niz novih mogućnosti, a naročito u pogledu sigurnosti broda i smanjenog utjecaja onečišćenja okoliša. Složenost sustava zahtjeva šira znanja za osmišljavanje broda s električnom propulzijom. Usavršavanjem električnih i elektroničkih komponenti, poboljšanjem stupnja djelovanja i povećanjem korisnog prostora broda, stvoreni su uvjeti za daljnju primjenu električne propulzije. S obzirom da se ne mogu više tražiti rješenja u tehnologiji ne vodeći računa o ekologiji, ekološki faktori će imati presudni utjecaj na izbor rješenja i u budućnosti.
