Focal mechanism solutions of the January 22, 2020 Akhisar-Manisa (Mw 5.5) earthquake and its aftershocks were obtained by using moment tensor inversion in order to make a seismotectonic interpretation for the study area. Total of 35 focal mechanism including the main shock have been obtained by using ISOLA algorithm. The results indicated that the majority of the focal mechanism solutions are normal faulting and normal faulting with strike slip component and some are strike slip faulting with normal faulting component. The results are compatible with the tectonics of the region. Focal depths of the analysed earthquakes are ranging between 4 and 15 km. The stress inversion of the studied earthquakes show that the present-day stress field is characterized by pure extensional regime (R’=0.75) and the study area is opening NE-SW. The horizontal direction of extension at N21o E. Axis orientations are found as 74o /111o, 16o/291o and 0o/201o (dip/azimuth direction) for σ_1, σ_2, and σ_3, respectively. According to these stress distributions, the fault planes on which earthquakes occur indicate extensional tectonic crustal deformation., Bu çalışmada, 22 Ocak 2020 Akhisar-Manisa (Mw 5.5) depremi ve artçılarının odak mekanizması çözümleri dalga şekli ters çözümü ile elde edilmiş ve buna göre sismotektonik yorum yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla, ana şok ve 35 artçı depremin odak mekanizması çözümleri ISOLA algoritması ile elde edilmiştir. Depremlerin odak mekanizması çözümlerinin çoğunluğu, bölgenin genişleme tektoniği ile uyumlu olup, normal faylanma ve az miktarda doğrultu atım bileşeni olan normal faylanma veya normal faylanma bileşeni olan doğrultu atımlı faylanma özelliğine sahiptir. Analizi yapılan depremlerin odak derinlikleri 4-15 km arasında değişmektedir. Gerilme tensörü ters çözümüne göre; bölge açılma rejiminin (R’=0.75) etkisi altındadır ve KD-BG yönünde açılmaktadır. Açılma hızı 1.3 mm/yıl olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bölgede minimum basınç ekseni (σ3), K21oD olarak yönlenmiştir. Asal gerilme eksenlerinin bölgedeki konumları sırasıyla σ_1, σ_2, ve σ_3 olmak üzere 74o /111o, 16o/291o ve 0o/201o (eğim/azimut) olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bu stres dağılımlarına göre depremlerin üzerlerinde meydana geldiği fay düzlemleri, gerilmeli tektonik kabuk deformasyonunu işaret etmektedir.

On December 10, 2016; two terror originated attackshit Istanbul, Besiktas at sequential time intervals of 45 seconds shaking thebuildings, damaged surrounding structures and caused loss of lives. The firstblast was hit with a bomb loaded vehicle under sail in the eastern exit of theVodafone Park stadium. The second attack was occurred after 45 seconds in the westernexit of the stadium. These blasts produced seismic signals which were recordedby two broadband instruments ISK and KAVV that are operated by KandilliObservatory and Earthquake Research Institute Regional Earthquake-TsunamiMonitoring Center (KOERI-RETMC). These explosions were audible up to severalkilometers including significant acoustic energy at frequencies higher than 20Hz. The blasts were analyzed in frequency and time domain to illustrate theattack’s frequency characteristics and its amplitudes. The first attack’s (carloaded) record in station KAVV's N-S component shows the fundamental peakfrequency in 17 Hz at 0.2th second, 12 Hz at station ISKrespectively depicting single massive event and energy discharge as well. Forthe second attack which was a suicide bomber, the results of Short Time FourierTransform analysis indicate that the energy releases focused both at higherfrequencies and involving infrasound at < 20 Hz. Due to amount of bomb, thesecond blast corresponds to energy discharge at low amplitudes in comparisonwith the first blast. In addition to that it was detected from the energyestimation that the explosion for the first attack is equivalent to 225.6 kgTNT.

Earthquake magnitude is one of the most importantparameters which is a measure directly related to the energy releasedcharacterizing an earthquake. Several magnitude scales (local magnitude, (ML), body-wave magnitude, (mb), surface-wave magnitude,(MS), moment magnitude, (Mw)) are used for definingthe size of an earthquake. ML,mb and MS being based on amplitudemeasurements of specific types of seismic waves, in specified frequency ranges,sometimes recorded with a specific instrument. Because of different waves havebeen using to estimate the earthquake’s magnitude at different distances, theymay significantly differ between each other. However, Mw is based on seismic moment, which is a physicalquantity proportional to the energy released by the seismic source, hence itdoes not saturate even for very large earthquakes, so it has betterrepresentation for earthquake magnitude. In this study, we calculated seismicmoment values and Mwmagnitudes for 70 earthquakes (3.4 < M < 5.4) by using P-wave spectrum. ML magnitudes were taken fromKandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute (KOERI) catalogues. Thenwe obtained an empirical relationship as Mw=0.7018ML+1.1715by using regression analysis between Mwand ML., Deprembüyüklüğü, bir depremi karakterize eden ve enerji ile doğrudan ilişkili olan enönemli parametrelerden biridir. Bir deprem büyüklüğünü tanımlamak için çeşitlibüyüklük ölçekleri (yerel büyüklük, (ML),cisim dalga büyüklüğü, (mb),yüzey dalgası büyüklüğü, (MS),moment büyüklüğü (Mw))kullanılmıştır. ML, mb ve MS belirli frekans aralıklarındaki belirli sismikdalgaların genlik ölçümlerine dayandığı için bu büyüklükler birbirlerindenönemli ölçüde farklılık gösterebilmektedirler. Bununla birlikte Mw, sismik momenti temelaldığı için gerek büyük, gerekse de küçük depremlerde daha doğru ve tutarlı birdeğer vermektedir. Bu çalışmada, Marmara Bölgesinde meydana gelen 70 depremiçin (3.4 < M < 5.4), P dalgası genlik spektrumu kullanılarak sismikmoment değerleri ve Mwbüyüklükleri hesaplanmıştır. Daha sonra Kandilli Rasathanesi ve DepremAraştırma Enstitüsü (KRDAE) kataloglarından alınan ML değerleri ile regresyon analizini yapılarak, MarmaraBölgesi için Mw = 0.7018ML + 1.1715 deneysel bağıntısı elde edilmiştir.

It would be a usefulstudy to investigate the potential area of betting for the region within thespatial data when it is thought to open a new betting shop. In Geographical Information System (GIS) which is considered much more criteriafor spatial analysis is called as multi criteria decision analysis. In multicriteria decision analysis, the assets of obtained numeric and spatial datafrom surveys or expert opinions have a crucial importance. In this study, Izmittowncenter was selected for the study area. It was determined six criterionsand carried out site selection analysis to found betting shop for most suitablearea., Bir bölgede yeni bir spor bahis bayi açılmasıdüşünüldüğünde öncelikle o bölgedeki spor bahis oynanma potansiyelinin mekansalveriyle birlikte araştırılması faydalı bir çalışma olacaktır. Müşteripotansiyelinin yüksek olduğu bölge veya bölgelerin belirlenmesinde tek kriteryerine birçok kriterin aynı anda incelenmesi elde edilecek sonucun doğruluğunuartırır. Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri (CBS)’nde birden fazla kriterin göz önünealındığı mekansal analizler çok kriterli karar analizi olarakadlandırılmaktadır. Çok kriterli karar analizinde, anket ya da uzman görüşündenelde edilen sayısal ve mekansal verilerin varlığı kritik önem taşır. Buçalışmada İzmit ilçe merkezi çalışma alanı olarak seçilmiştir. Seçilen altıölçüte göre yeni açılacak bir spor bahis bayi için en uygun yer seçim analiziyapılmıştır.

Mühendislik sismolojisi çalışmalarında kullanılan mikrotremor yöntemi, özellikle mikro bölgeleme çalışmalarındaki faydaları, diğer jeofizik veya jeolojik metotlara göre daha kolay ve maliyetsiz uygulanabilirliği, elde edilen sonuçların güvenilirliği yöntemi son yıllarda yaygın kılmaktadır. Veri toplanmasında gerekli titizlik ve veri işlem aşamalarında gerekli hassasiyet takip edildiği müddetçe sağlıklı zemin hakim frekans değerleri saptanabilmektedir. Bu çerçeve temel alınarak gerçekleştirilen bu çalışma, TÜBİTAK Kocaeli- Gölcük- Değirmendere beldesi kentsel afet risk yönetimine dair tehlike analizinin saptanması projesi kapsamında Kocaeli ilinin Gölcük ilçesi Değirmendere beldesinde 43 noktada tek istasyon mikrotremor ölçümleri gerçekleştirilmesi ile oluşmaktadır. Bu bağlamda belirlenen noktalarda bölge için zemin hakim frekansları ve buna bağlı parametreler saptanmıştır Bölge için yeni bir hız derinlik fonksiyonu elde edilmiştir. Bu sayede zemin hakim frekansına bağlı olarak hesaplanan yeni derinlikler üstel bir fonksiyon ile ilişkilendirilmiş ve bölge için dinamik yükler altında kent için büyük tehlike arz edebilecek sediman kalınlıklarının belirlenmesi hedeflenmiştir ve yaklaşış 800 m'ye kadar sediman kalınlıkları tespit edilmiştir. In recent years, the microtremor method that use in engineering seismology, particularly in benefits of micro-zoning. Its more practicality and its less-cost provide an advantage comparing the other geophysical and geological methods. During recording and analyzing the data carefully, the H/V ratio peak frequency provides a good and reliable estimation of the ground resonance frequency. Based on this frame, it was carried out 43 one-station tremor measurement points as a part of the TUBITAK project named `Determining the risk analysis and management of urban disaster areas of Kocaeli- Gölcük- Değirmendere town`. In this regard, it was calculated the resonance frequencies and other related parameters for the measurement points. It was obtained a velocity-depth function for the study area. Calculated resonant frequencies and iteratively obtained shear wave velocities were used to determining a best-fitting function for our empiric depth-frequency relation. By this means it was calculated up to 800 m the sediment thickness for the study area which would pose a danger to the area and crucial local site effects under dynamic load. 82
