Abstract The advent of polyadenosine diphosphate ribose polymerase inhibitors (PARPi) has brought about significant changes in the field of ovarian cancer treatment. However, in 2022, Rucaparib, Olaparib, and Niraparib, had their marketing approval revoked for third-line and subsequent therapies due to an increased potential for adverse events. Consequently, the exploration of new treatment modalities remains imperative. Recently, the integration of PARPi with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) has emerged as a potential remedy option within the context of ovarian cancer. This article offers a comprehensive examination of the mechanisms and applications of PARPi and ICIs in the treatment of ovarian cancer. It synthesizes the existing evidence supporting their combined use and discusses key considerations that merit attention in ongoing development efforts.

In order to identify the pathogen that caused rust of Bletilla striata in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and to screen resistance resources for B. striata, the rust pathogen was isolated from infected leaves of B. striata and identified using morphology and molecular methods. At the same time, the resistance of 23 B. striata from different regions was evaluated by artificial inoculation of pathogen. The results were as follows: (1) The urediopores of strain X2 isolated from diseased leaves in B. striata were golden yellow, oval, (21.43-30.95) μm × (13.10-19.05) μm. The teleutospores were golden yellow, obovate or clavate, (17.25-30) μm × (5.5-6.65) μm. (2) The length of ITS sequence of strain X2(OQ826009) was 689 bp, which were compared with other ITS sequences in the GenBank, and the similarity reached 95.86% compared with Coleosporium sp. (KY783686.1). But the phylogenetic tree showed that the sequence was clustered together with two sequences of Coleosporium bletiae (MN108161.1, OP363680.1). The strain X2 was identified as Coleosporium bletiae by combining morphology and molecular methods. (3) After 14 days of artificial inoculation with strain X2, the disease index of 23 Bletilla striata ranged from 0 to 70.7. And the resistance of strain X2 from 23 B. striata were divided into six different levels according to the disease index. Among them, one immune materials was identified for the disease index was 0. Four highly resistant materials were identified for the disease index was 1.7-4.7. Six disease-resistant materials were identified for the disease index was 5.6-9.4. Five medium-resistant materials were identified for the disease index was 12.7-18.3. Five susceptible materials were identified for the disease index was 32.0-49.1 and two highly susceptible materials were identified for the disease index was 62.2-70.7. In conclusion, five materials (one immune material and four highly resistant materials) of B. striata from different places (Honghe City in Yunnan Province, Gongcheng County and Baise City in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Zunyi City in Guizhou Province and Yichang City in Hubei Province, respectively) can be promoted directly or applied as parent materials for creating excellent germplasm to resist the rust in B. striata for they express immune or highly resistance. This study provides the basis for further research on pathogenesis and control of rust in B. striata.

[Objective] To explore how phosphorus input regulates the effects of atmospheric nitrogen deposition on soil aggregate organic carbon content and the relationship between carbon and phosphorus. [Methods] A long-term monitoring test platform for nutrient addition was established in evergreen broad-leaved forest soil for 6 years (2015—2021), including 4 treatments: Control [P0+N0, P 0 kg/(hm2·a)+N 0 kg/(hm2·a)], nitrogen addition [P0+N100, P 0 kg/(hm2·a)+N 100 kg/(hm2·a)], phosphorus input [P50+N0, P 50 kg/(hm2·a)+N 0 kg/(hm2·a)] and nitrogen and phosphorus were simultaneously input (P50+N100, P 50 kg/(hm2·a)+N 100 kg/(hm2·a)], and each treatment was repeated 3 times, and a total of 12 plots were obtained. 0—10 cm soil samples were collected from the sample site in August 2021 to determine the basic physical and chemical properties, soil particle size distribution, phosphorus components of soil aggregates of different particle sizes, and organic carbon (SOC) content. [Results] (1) Under P0 treatment, nitrogen addition significantly increased the proportion of large aggregates, decreased the clay and powder contents, and increased the SOC content in each aggregate particle size. Nitrogen addition significantly decreased and increased the content of labile phosphorus (LP) and residual phosphorus (RP) in aggregate clay and powder, respectively. (2) Under P50 treatment, nitrogen addition significantly increased the geometric mean diameter (GMD) of soil aggregates, but had no significant effects on phosphorus components and SOC contents in aggregates of different particle sizes. (3) Under P0 treatment, soil aggregate SOC was positively correlated with refractory phosphorus. There was no significant correlation between SOC of soil aggregates and functional phosphorus components under P50 treatment. It was concluded that under P0 treatment, nitrogen addition could increase soil organic carbon retention by increasing the refractory phosphorus in soil aggregate clay and powder particle size of evergreen broad-leaved forest. Under P50 treatment, the effect of nitrogen addition on organic carbon in each particle size may be regulated by biological factors and has nothing to do with the availability of phosphorus. [Conclusion] The effect of nitrogen deposition on the internal relationship of carbon and phosphorus in soil aggregates in evergreen broad-leaved forests was regulated by phosphorus. The results of this study provide data supported for forest soil carbon cycling in response to global climate change.

Heading date is one of the most important agronomic traits of rice, which critically affects rice ecogeographical adaptation, yield and quality. In this study, a late heading date 3 (lhd3) mutant was screened from the 60Co-γ irradiation mutant library. The lhd3 delayed heading date in rice under both short day and long day conditions. Map-based cloning combined with Mutmap strategy was adopted to isolate the causal LHD3 gene. The LHD3 gene encodes a DNA_J domain protein, which was ubiquitously expressed in various plant organs, and dominant expressed in stems and leaves. Subcellular localization analysis showed that LHD3 was localized to nucleus, indicating that LHD3 may interact with other elements to regulate the expression of flowering genes. The transcriptions of the heading activators Ehd1, Hd3a and RFT1 significantly decreased in the lhd3 mutant, suggesting that LHD3 may control the heading date through the Ehd1-Hd3a/RFT1 photoperiodic flowering pathway. The variation and haplotype analyses of the genomic region of LHD3 showed that there were 7 haplotypes in the LHD3 region from 4 702 accessions. The haplotypes of LHD3 can be divided into two classes: class a and class b, and the heading dates of these two classes were significantly different. Further study showed that two single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), SNP10 (G2100C) in Hap II and SNP3 (C861T) in Hap VII, may be the functional sites causing early and late heading in accessions. Nucleotide diversity analysis showed LHD3 had been selected in the indica population, rather than in the japonica population. Therefore, the present study sheds light on the regulation of LHD3 on heading date in rice and suggests that LHD3 is a novel promising new target for rice molecular design and breeding improvement.

Objective: This study aimed to improve the emulsifying and processing properties of tilapia myofibrillar protein. Methods: The tilapia muscle fibrin (TMP) was modified with galactose oligosaccharide (GOS). The effects of TMP/GOS concentrations, pH values, temperature, time and other technological conditions on the grafting degree, solubility, emulsifying activity and emulsifying stability of TMP-GOS conjugation were investigated. The preparation process of TMP-GOS conjugate was optimized using emulsion stability as response surface. The functional properties of TMP-GOS conjugation were analyzed and verified by endogenous fluorescence spectroscopy, surface hydrophobicity, Fourier infrared spectroscopy and peakering emulsion microscopy. Results: The optimal process conditions were as follows: tilapia myofibrillar protein/ galactooligosaccharides (mTMP∶mGOS=1∶1) mass concentration is 27.34 mg/mL, pH value is 11.2, temperature is 79.9 ℃, time is 4.09 h. The emulsifying stability, emulsifying activity and solubility of glycosylated TMP were (90.30±1.44) min, (4.70±0.03) m2/g and (66.09±0.52) %. Compared with before modification, they increased by 112.97%, 62.07% and 129.39% respectively. The glycosylation grafting degree of TMP was 34.17%; The protein hydrolysis degree was large, and the protein structure was expanded; The surface hydrophobicity index decreased by 55.68%. Conclusion: Galactose oligosaccharide can significantly modify the structural properties of TMP and improve the emulsification activity and the solubility of TMP.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of energy spectrum CT volume quantitative parameters in differentiating pathological types of colorectal cancer. Methods The clinical and imaging data of 66 patients (16 cases of mucinous adenocarcinoma and 50 cases of tubular adenocarcinoma) with colorectal cancer confirmed by pathology in our hospital from January 2019 to November 2021 were collected and retrospectively analyzed. The volume parameters and two-dimensional parameters of the tumor, including iodine (water) concentration, water (iodine) concentration and effective atomic number, were measured by different methods of region of interest (ROI) acquisition, and normalized iodine (water) concentration (NIC) was calculated. Student's t test or Mann-Whitney U test was used for comparison between groups, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of statistically significant parameters for pathological types of colorectal cancer. Results In terms of energy spectrum volume parameters, iodine (water) concentration, NIC and Eff-Z in arterial and venous phases were significantly different (P < 0.01). The iodine (water) concentration, NIC and Eff-Z of mucinous adenocarcinoma were lower than those of tubular adenocarcinoma. However, in the two-dimensional parameters, only iodine (water) concentration, NIC and Eff-Z in venous phase had significant differences among groups (P < 0.05). The volumetric iodine (water) concentration and NIC in mucinous adenocarcinoma were lower than corresponding two-dimensional parameters. ROC curve showed that the area under the curve of energy spectrum volume parameters was higher than that of two-dimensional parameters. Among them, arterial volume NIC had the highest diagnostic efficiency, with a sensitivity of 82.0% and specificity of 87.5%. Conclusion The quantitative parameters of CT volume of energy spectrum may have greater potential clinical value in differentiating mucinous colorectal adenocarcinoma from tubular adenocarcinoma than two-dimensional parameters.

Objective To determine the effects of improvement of G alpha q-protein carboxyl terminus imitation polypeptide (GCIP) on deoxycorticosterone acetate (DOCA)/salt-induced cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis in mice. Methods After unilateral nephrectomy, 61 male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into control group (n=10), DOCA-salt group (n=14), GCIP 0.1 mg/kg group (n=12), GCIP 0.3 mg/kg group (n=12) and GCIP 1.0 mg/kg group (n=13). Except control group, the mice in other groups were given subcutaneous injection of deoxycorticosterone acetate (100 mg/kg) every 2 d and replacement of drinking water with 1% NaCl to prepare cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis model. At the same time, the GCIP groups were given subcutaneous injection of GCIP at corresponding doses, twice a day. Their survival rate was observed every day. The blood pressure (BP) was measured by a tail-cuff blood pressure system every 4 days, and cardiac function was assessed by echocardiography. Hematoxylin-Eosin (HE) and wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) staining in heart tissue were used to evaluate cardiac hypertrophy. Sirius red staining in heart tissue was used to evaluate cardiac fibrosis. Moreover, Western blot analysis was used to detect the expression of α-SMA, p38 and ERK1/2. Results Compared with the control group, the DOCA-salt group had obviously decreased survival rate (43%), increased BP level (25.61%), decreased left ventricular systolic function, and obvious hypertrophy and fibrosis in hear tissue (P < 0.05). GCIP treatment significantly increased survival rate (35%), decreased BP (12.40%), improved left ventricular systolic function and attenuated cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis (P < 0.05). Furthermore, the expression of α-SMA and phosphorylation of p38 and ERK1/2 were increased in the heart tissue of the DOCA/salt-treated mice (P < 0.05), while GCIP treatment reversed above phenomena (P < 0.05). Conclusion GCIP can effectively inhibit DOCA/salt-induced hypertensive cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis, which is associated with its inhibition on phosphorylation of p38 and ERK1/2.

Data races have become one of the severe issues affecting the correctness of concurrent programs. Existing detection tools for data races have many false positives and false negatives. To improve the correctness, this paper proposes a context-sensitive approach to detect data races in concurrent programs. Several program analysis techniques are conducted to reduce false positives and false negatives. First, control-flow analysis is used to construct call graphs, in which escape analysis is employed to find escaped objects among threads. Second, context-sensitive alias analysis is employed to find alias objects. Finally, happens-before analysis is conducted to reduce false positives and false negatives. We develop a prototype tool ConRacer based on WALA and evaluate it on several benchmarks. We also compare ConRacer with existing static and dynamic tools. The experimental results show that ConRacer can effectively detect data races and reduce false positives and false negatives.

The solution-aging treatment parameters, including solution temperature, cooling rate and aging temperature, have significant influences on the microstructures and comprehensive mechanical properties of titanium alloy. In this work, the detailed microevolution behaviors of Ti–10V–2Fe–3Al alloy under different solution and aging conditions have been investigated through a series of heat-treatment experiments. The results of solution-treatment experiments reveal that the content of αp-phase is reduced to zero as the solution temperature is raised to a certain α → β critical transformation point. Recrystallized β-grains can be observed at the solution temperature of 820°C. In addition, the cooling way (air cooling or water cooling) has little influence on the microevolution behaviors for this alloy during the solution-treatment process. As for the solution-aging-treatment experiments, the results reveal that αs-phases are precipitated from the supersaturated β-phase, and the fraction of αs-phase increases with increasing aging temperature. However, the precipitated α-grains intend to coalesce and coarsen as the aging temperature raises above 510°C. Therefore, the advocated solution-aging-treatment program is solution treatment at 820°C with air cooling followed by aging treatment at 510°C with air cooling.

BACKGROUND The hydrocarbon generation materials in thin sections of black source rocks (such as black mudstone, oil shale), from the Chang 7 Member of the Upper Triassic Yanchang Formation in the Ordos Basin, are often partially or entirely black under the transmitted-light viewing system of a polarized optical microscope, because they are covered by black organic matter (such as oil, asphaltene) or opaque. OBJECTIVES To put forward an effective method to observe the hydrocarbon generation materials in thin sections of black source rock. METHODS A method for observation of characteristics of hydrocarbon generation materials of black source rock was proposed, using the reflected-light viewing system of a polarized optical microscope on electron probe thin sections. RESULTS The method can overcome the problem that hydrocarbon generation materials in thin section were covered by black organic matter or were opaque. The size, shape, structure, distribution of hydrocarbon generation materials and composition can be entirely and clearly observed in thin sections of black source rock. CONCLUSIONS In the long-term test, it has been proved that the method for observation of characteristics of hydrocarbon generation material in thin sections of black source rock by the reflected-light viewing system of a polarized optical microscope is simple and effective, and can be easily used in the study of hydrocarbon generation of tight oil and shale oil.

Meltwater habitats are found on glacier surfaces worldwide, but much of the current understanding of these habitats comes from clean glaciers sprinkled with cryoconite. Cryoconite is windblown dust particles covered with biological material that form small meltwater holes due to difference in the albedo of cryoconite compared to clean ice. However, no information is available on the physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of supraglacial pools on debris-covered glaciers. We measured physical and chemical variables and sampled macroinvertebrates from forty-six supraglacial pools during the summers of 2018 and 2019 on the debris-covered Hailuogou Glacier in southeastern Tibet. Our physical and chemical results indicated that the sampled supraglacial pools exhibited a greater diversity of shapes, were larger, contained larger substrate sizes, and had greater substrate diversity than cryoconite holes. The sampled supraglacial pools frequently contained Chironomidae (Diptera) and Isotomidae (Collembola), which are macroinvertebrate taxa that are uncommon in cryoconite holes. Chironomidae occurrence and abundance was not correlated with any measured environmental variable. The best predictors of Isotomidae and macroinvertebrate occurrence and abundance were conductivity, ice to water surface depth, and number of supraglacial pools within 5 m. Our results highlight the uniqueness of supraglacial pools on a debris-covered glacier in southeastern Tibet.

Objective: Camrelizumab is the first domestic PD-1inhibitor approved to be combined with chemotherapy as a first-line therapy for advanced nonsquamous non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in China. The purpose of this study was to determine whether using camrelizumab in the first-line setting is cost-effective in China when compared with traditional chemotherapy or the imported PD-1inhibitor pembrolizumab.Material and Methods: A Markov model was built to simulate 3-week patient transitions over a 30-year horizon from the perspective of the Chinese healthcare system. Health states included stable disease, first progression, second progression, and death. A direct comparison between first-line camrelizumab in combination with pemetrexed and carboplatin (CPC) and pemetrexed plus carboplatin (PC) was performed by calculating transition probabilities from the CameL trial. An indirect comparison between first-line CPC and pembrolizumab in combination with pemetrexed and platinum (PPP) was performed by calculating transition probabilities using a network meta-analysis. Costs in the Chinese setting were collected from the local public database and literatures. Sensitivity analyses explored the uncertainty around model parameters.Results: In the primary analysis, first-line CPC gained an additional 0.41 quality-adjusted life-years (QALYs) with an incremental cost of $3,486 compared with PC, resulting in an incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) of $8,378 per QALY gained. In the secondary analysis, first-line PPP yielded an additional 0.10 QALYs at an incremental cost of $6,710, resulting in an ICER of $65,563 per QALY gained.Conclusion: For Chinese patients with advanced nonsquamous NSCLC without targetable genetic aberrations, our primary analysis results supported first-line CPC as a cost-effective treatment compared with traditional PC chemotherapy. The findings of our secondary analysis suggested that first-line PPP would not be a cost-effective option compared with first-line CPC. This analysis provided strong evidence for promoting the widespread use of first-line CPC in China and, to some extent, stimulated the enthusiasm for the development of domestic cancer drugs.

Modern large-scale Hall-Héroult (H-H) aluminum electrolysis cells have super high amperage and a well-developed process technology; thus, they present great technical and economic advantages for the production of Al-based alloys. Compared with the traditional alloy production methods, H-H-based processes have a great potential in improving product quality, simplifying production process, and reducing energy consumption. In this review, the major achievements in the production of various common aluminum alloys, such as Al-RE (rare earth metals), Al-Mg, and Al-Si/Ti alloys using H-H-based processes, were summarized from the domestic and international literature. The main properties of cryolite-based electrolyte systems that determine whether the alloy production can proceed smoothly by H-H process were first discussed based on previous research results. Studies on the electrolyte structure, melting point, and conductivity of the cryolite-based electrolytes with varying compositions were described in details. For producing Al-based alloys, the conventional fluorides electrolytes can be modified by adding various oxides of alloying metals. The electrolysis mechanisms of cathode co-deposition and underpotential deposition are usually utilized with the addition of multiple metals oxides, and the electrolyte composition and processing parameters are appropriately adjusted in H-H-based processes. Moreover, the potential distribution in the interfacial reaction processes during electrolysis for the alloying process in electrolyte is proposed based on the existing electrochemical data. In addition, some industrial trials showed promising results for the future development. At present, these trials, especially for Al-Si and Al-Ti alloys, indicate that the contents of alloying elements can be stabilized within a certain range by adjusting electrolyte compositions, current density, feeding cycle, and other parameters. There are, however, problems associated with the accurate control of alloy compositions, the homogenous quality in bulk alloy products, and the electrolysis cell operation with high current efficiency. Further research is needed to address these problems.

With the increase of the thrust-weight ratio of the aero-engine, CMC-SiC composites with low density, high strength and toughness, high thermal stability, long lifetime, good ablation resistance and oxidation resistance need to be developed to meet the requirements of the complicated and aggressive environments in the aero-engine. The characteristics, fabrication methods, applications on the hot components of the abroad advanced aero-engines, the domestic research achievements and the open problems of the CMC-SiC composites were introduced. The research tendencies in the high performance fibers,parts design and fabrication, environmental barrier coatings,non-destructive testing technologies, evaluation and verification method and repairing technologies were put forward.

SiC matrix ceramic composites (CMC-SiC) are considered as the potential primary structural materials in advanced gas turbines because of their low density, good oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength. However, CMC-SiC suffers from serious degradation in the gas environments. With the protection of environmental barrier coatings (EBCs), CMC-SiC composites can be possibly applied as hot components with long lifetime in the aero-engine. The materials selection requirements, development history, preparation process, assessment technologies and characterization methods of EBCs materials system were introduced in this paper. The open problems of EBCs materials system such as high volatile rate, low operating temperature during service and low crystalline fraction, low density of the coatings during the preparation process were summarized and analyzed. The research goal and development direction in the EBCs system optimization, fabrication process development and evaluation and assessment platform were put forward.

The plasma membrane is enriched for receptors and signaling proteins that are accessible from the extracellular space for pharmacological intervention. Here we conducted a series of CRISPR screens using human cell surface proteome and integrin family libraries in multiple cancer models. Our results identified ITGAV (integrin αV) and its heterodimer partner ITGB5 (integrin β5) as the essential integrin α/β pair for cancer cell expansion. High-density CRISPR gene tiling further pinpointed the integral pocket within the β-propeller domain of ITGAV for integrin αVβ5 dimerization. Combined with in silico compound docking, we developed a CRISPR-Tiling-Instructed Computer-Aided (CRISPR-TICA) pipeline for drug discovery and identified Cpd_AV2 as a lead inhibitor targeting the β-propeller central pocket of ITGAV. Cpd_AV2 treatment led to rapid uncoupling of integrin αVβ5 and cellular apoptosis, providing a unique class of therapeutic action that eliminates the integrin signaling via heterodimer dissociation. We also foresee the CRISPR-TICA approach to be an accessible method for future drug discovery studies.

Objective To assess global, regional and national trends in the impact of floods from 1990 to 2022 and determine factors influencing flood-related deaths. Methods We used data on flood disasters from the International Disaster Database for 1990-2022 from 168 countries. We calculated the annual percentage change to estimate trends in the rates of people affected and killed by floods by study period, World Health Organization (WHO) region, country income level and flood type. We used multivariable logistic regression analysis to assess the factors associated with death from floods. Findings From 1990 to 2022, 4713 floods were recorded in 168 countries, which affected > 3.2 billion people, caused 218 353 deaths and were responsible for more than 1.3 trillion United States dollars of economic losses. The WHO Western Pacific Region had the most people affected by floods (> 2.0 billion), accounting for 63.19% (2 024 599 380/3 203 944 965) of all affected populations. The South-East Asia Region had the most deaths (71 713, 32.84%). The African and Eastern Mediterranean Regions had the highest number of people affected and killed by floods per 100 000 population in 2022. The odds of floods causing more than 50 deaths were significantly higher in low-income countries (adjusted odds ratio: 14.34; 95% confidence interval: 7.46 to 30.04) compared with high-income countries. Numbers of people affected and mortality due to floods declined over time. Conclusion Despite the decreases in populations affected and deaths, floods still have a serious impact on people and economies globally, particularly in lower-income countries. Action is needed to improve disaster risk management and flood mitigation. Methodes Nous avons exploite les donnees concernant 168 pays et reprises dans la base de donnees internationale sur les catastrophes pour la periode allant de 1990 a 2022. Nous avons ensuite calcule la variation annuelle en pourcentage afin de degager des tendances quant au nombre de personnes touchees, voire tuees par des inondations en fonction de la periode d'etude, de la region telle que definie par l'Organisation mondiale de la Sante (OMS), du niveau de revenu du pays et du type d'inondation. Enfin, nous avons employe une analyse multivariee de regression logistique pour determiner les facteurs associes aux deces en cas d'inondations. Resultats Entre 1990 et 2022, 4713 inondations ont ete recensees dans 168 pays. Elles ont touche plus de 3,2 milliards de personnes, cause 218 353 morts et entraine des pertes economiques superieures a 1,3 billion de dollars americains. La region du Pacifique occidental de l'OMS est celle ou le plus grand nombre d'habitants ont ete affectes par ces phenomenes (> 2 milliards), representant 63,19% (2 024 599 380 / 3 203 944 965) de l'ensemble des populations impactees. C'est la region d'Asie du Sud-Est qui comptait le plus grand nombre de deces (71 713, soit 32,84%). Letendue des repercussions et le taux de mortalite des inondations diminuaient au fil du temps. Conclusion Malgre une baisse du nombre de personnes touchees et tuees, les inondations continuent a avoir un impact considerable sur les populations et les economies a travers le monde, surtout dans les pays aux revenus plus faibles. Des actions sont requises pour ameliorer la gestion des risques de catastrophes et la lutte contre les inondations. Objetivo Evaluar las tendencias mundiales, regionales y nacionales del impacto de las inundaciones de 1990 a 2022 y determinar los factores que influyen en las muertes relacionadas con las inundaciones. Metodos Se utilizaron datos sobre catastrofes por inundaciones de la Base de Datos Internacional sobre catastrofes para 1990-2022 de 168 paises. Se calculo la variacion porcentual anual para estimar las tendencias de las tasas de personas afectadas y fallecidas por inundaciones segun el periodo de estudio, la region de la Organizacion Mundial de la Salud (OMS), el nivel de ingresos del pais y el tipo de inundacion. Se utilizo un analisis de regresion logistica multivariable para evaluar los factores asociados a la muerte por inundaciones. Resultados Entre 1990 y 2022, se registraron 4713 inundaciones en 168 paises, que afectaron a >3200 millones de personas, causaron 218 353 muertes y fueron responsables de mas de 1,3 billones de dolares estadounidenses de perdidas economicas. La Region del Pacifico Occidental de la OMS fue la mas afectada por las inundaciones (>2000 millones), con un 63,19% (2 024 599 380/3 203 944 965) de todas las poblaciones afectadas. La Region de Asia Sudoriental fue la que registro mas muertes (71 713, 32,84%). Las regiones de Africa y el Mediterraneo Oriental registraron el mayor numero de personas afectadas y fallecidas por inundaciones por cada 100 000 habitantes en 2022. Las probabilidades de que las inundaciones causaran mas de 50 muertes fueron significativamente mayores en los paises de ingresos bajos (razon de probabilidades ajustada: 14,34; intervalo de confianza del 95%: 7,46 a 30,04) en comparacion con los paises de ingresos altos. El numero de personas afectadas y la mortalidad por inundaciones disminuyeron con el tiempo. Conclusion A pesar de la disminucion de las poblaciones afectadas y de las muertes, las inundaciones siguen teniendo un grave impacto en las personas y las economias de todo el mundo, en especial en los paises con ingresos mas bajos.
