ObjectiveTo analyze the research status of forensic medicine in China from 2010 to 2019, obtain the development trend of forensic medicine and explore the hotspots and research frontiers.MethodsThe forensic medical academic papers published on China National Knowledge Infrastructure （CNKI） database from 2010 to 2019 were collected. CiteSpace 5.7.R1, an information visualization analysis software, was used to analyze publication organizations, authors, keywords, and other elements.ResultsThe majority of the research institutions were universities, provincial and ministerial scientific research and forensic institutions. Forensic pathology was still an important branch of forensic medicine and a popular research direction. The “polymorphism” and “Y chromosome” had been the research hotspots in recent years. “Medical damage” and “standard” were the most novel studies.ConclusionIn order to provide scientific basis and research direction for forensic research, this paper analyzes the cooperation network, research hotspots and research innovation in forensic research.

Objective To investigate the clinical symptoms and molecular biological characteristics in a family with oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy (OPMD). Methods Clinical data of the family members were collected. Genomic DNA were isolated from peripheral blood of 6 family members including the probands for polymerase chain reaction (PCR). TA cloning followed by Sanger DNA sequencing was conducted for detecting PABPN1 gene mutations. Results The first symptom of the 4 family members in OPMD pedigree was ptosis at 50⁃years⁃old. The clinical symptoms of pharyngeal muscles involved in gradually dysphagia. Genetic testing found: the proband (Ⅱ3), the second sister of the proband (Ⅱ2), the fourth brother of the proband (Ⅱ4), and the fifth sister of the proband (Ⅱ5) had abnormal amplification of (GCN) repeat, (GCN)10/(GCN)13 in exon 1 of PABPN1 gene, which was identified in 4 members of the family who conducted the genetic testing. There was a dominant inheritance pattern in the lineage. The final diagnosis was OPMD, and the family was diagnosed as OPMD. Conclusions Clinical symptoms play a decisive role in the detection of the disease, thus genetic testing is the ctritical factor to the diagnosis and prevention of oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy, which provides necessary information for choosing treatments and genetic counseling.

Objective To investigate the role of inhibitor of DNA binding-2 (ID2) in pulmonary vasculature formation in early lung development. Methods CRISPR/Cas9 system was used to edit ID2 in human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) to construct ID2 knockout strains, hESCs and ID2 knockout strains were further differentiated into endothelial cells(ECs) or lung bud organoids (LBOs).Quantitative PCR was used to detect ID2, CD31, NKX2.1 and other genes expression during differentiation, flow cytometry was performed to analyze the differentiation efficiency, Western blot was applied to check ID2, CD31 and PAX9 protein expression, 3D co-culture of ECs and LBOs was performed to compare the effect of LBOs derived from different hESCs on the tubular formation of ECs. Results ID2 promoted cells to enter the mesoderm stage during the differentiation of hESCs into ECs, but ID2 deletion led to the formation of a large number of ECs with tubular defects. ID2 promoted the differentiation of hESCs into LBOs.In the 3D co-culture system, LBOs could promote ECs tube-forming ability, while the deficiency of ID2 weakened this promotion. Conclusions In early stage of pulmonary tissue development, ID2 affects the differenti- ation and function of ECs and LBOs, loss of ID2 in lung bud reduces the angiogenesis of surrounded ECs.

Objective To analyze the forensic science-related literature included in the Web of Science database in the recent decade through bibliometric methods, to provide reference for relevant research. Methods Literatures were searched in 3 ways：Subject search, Journal search and Institution search. The annual distribution, national （regional） distribution, institution distribution, journal distribution and the research hotspots of the related literatures were analyzed through Thomson Data Analyzer （TDA）, Ucinet, VOSviewer, and so on. Results A total of 49 469 related literatures were included in the recent decade. The number of literatures continued to climb year by year. The top 15 countries （regions） accounted for 78.52% of the total number of published literatures, and China ranked 5th, but ranked 12th in terms of the proportion of high-cited papers; Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia, etc. had high comprehensive influence. The number of countries （regions） that cooperated with China were 129, including the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. The Institute of Forensic Science of Saint Mary’s University, University of Sydney and Netherlands Forensic Institute had high comprehensive influence, and the related literatures were published on 6 357 journals. According to high-frequency co-occurrence network and high-cited papers, brain injury, health policy, assessment scales and models and medical imaging were selected as research hotspots. Conclusion The total number of literatures in forensic science included in international SCI increased significantly, and the influence of China’s achievements needs to be greatly enhanced; the research institutions were scattered, and China’s research power needs to be continuously condensed; the research hotspots in international fields are extensive, and the international participation of China in top level research needs to be strengthened

Fully epitaxial Co2MnSi (CMS)/MgO/CMS magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) with various values of Mn composition α in Co2MnαSi electrodes were fabricated and the influence of α on the tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) characteristics of these MTJs was investigated. MTJs with Mn-rich CMS electrodes showed TMR ratios, up to 1135% at 4.2 K and 236% at room temperature for α=1.29, exceeding those of MTJs with CMS electrodes having an almost stoichiometric composition. A possible origin of the higher TMR ratios for α beyond 1.0 is a decreased density of gap states existing around the Fermi level in the half-metal gap caused by the suppression of CoMn antisites, where a Mn site is replaced by a Co atom, for Mn-rich CMS electrodes. In view of problems of low production efficiency and bad products quality existed in manual control used by silica production system of one company, the paper proposed a reform scheme of automatic control system of silica reactor based on S7-200 PLC. It analyzed technology process of silica production system and introduced design of hardware and software of the reformed automatic control system in details. The actual application showed that the reformed automatic control system realizes automatic control for flow of acid, alkali and water, automatic control for solution temperature and solution pH value, which improves products quality and production efficiency.

Titanium nitride (TIN) hard protective films were fabricated on AISI52100 bearing steel surface employing plasma immersion ion implantation and deposition (PIIID) technique. The TiN films were characterized using a variety of test methods. Atomic force microscope (AFM) revealed that the titanium nitride film has extremely smooth surface, very high uniformity and efficiency of space filling over large areas. X-ray diffraction (XRD) result indicated that (200) crystal face of titanium nitride phase is the preferred orientation and three kinds of titanium components exist in the surface modified layer. Tailor fitting analysis of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) combined with Ar ion etching proved that Ti2p(1/2) and Ti2p(3/2) have two peaks in the titanium nitride film layer, respectively. It is shown that different chemical state exists in titanium compound. N(1s) bond energy of XPS has also three fitting peaks at 396.51, 397. 22 and 399.01 eV, corresponding to the nitrogen atom in TiNxOy, TiN and N--N, respectively. Combined with the XPS Tailor fitting analysis results of O(1s) bond energy, it was shown that there is a large amount of titanium nitride phase in addition to a small amount of simple substance nitrogen and oxide of titanium in the surface layer. The whole film system is made up of TiN, TiO2, N--N and Ti--O--N compound.

Aim: To evaluate the level of sperm chromosome aberrations in male patients with hepatitis B, and to directly detect whether there are HBV DNA integrations in sperm chromosomes of hepatitis B patients., Methods: Sperm chromosomes of 14 tested subjects (5 healthy controls, 9 patients with HBV infection, including 1 with acute hepatitis B, 2 with chronic active hepatitis B, 4 with chronic persistent hepatitis B, 2 chronic HBsAg carriers with no clinical symptoms) were prepared using interspecific in vitro fertilization between zona-free golden hamster ova and human spermatozoa, and the frequencies of aberration spermatozoa were compared between subjects of HBV infection and controls. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) to sperm chromosome spreads was carried out with biotin-labeled full length HBV DNA probe to detect the specific HBV DNA sequences in the sperm chromosomes., Results: The total frequency of sperm chromosome aberrations in HBV infection group (14.8 %, 33/223) was significantly higher than that in the control group (4.3 %, 5/116). Moreover, the sperm chromosomes in HBV infection patients commonly presented stickiness, clumping, failure to staining, etc, which would affect the analysis of sperm chromosomes. Specific fluorescent signal spots for HBV DNA were seen in sperm chromosomes of one patient with chronic persistent hepatitis. In 9 (9/42) sperm chromosome complements containing fluorescent signal spots, one presented 5 obvious FISH spots, others presented 2 to 4 signals. There was significant difference of fluorescence intensity among the signal spots. The distribution of signal sites among chromosomes was random., Conclusion: HBV infection can bring about mutagenic effects on sperm chromosomes. Integrations of viral DNA into sperm chromosomes which are multisites and nonspecific, can further increase the instability of sperm chromosomes. This study suggested that HBV infection can create extensively hereditary effects by alteration genetic constituent and/or induction chromosome aberrations, as well as the possibility of vertical transmission of HBV via the germ line to the next generation.
