Abstract

A system of stochastic differential equations describing diffusive phenomena, which has arbitrary friction depending on both state and distribution is investigated. The Smoluchowski-Kramers approximation is seen to describe dynamics in the small mass limit. We obtain the limiting equation and, in particular, the addition drift terms that appear in the limiting equation are expressed in terms of the solutions to the Lyapunov matrix equation and Sylvester matrix equation. Furthermore, we provide the rate of convergence and extend the system to encompass more general interactions and noise.

15. Changes in blood catecholamines during induction of general anesthesia in patients with post-induction hypotension undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy: A single-center prospective cohort study.

Abstract

Background: Post-induction hypotension (PIH) often occurs during general anesthesia induction. This study aimed to investigate blood catecholamine levels during induction of general anesthesia in patients with PIH undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods: This prospective study included 557 adult patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anesthesia. PIH was defined as a greater than 20% decrease in systolic blood pressure from the pre-induction value, a systolic arterial pressure of less than 90 mmHg, or both. Plasma concentrations of epinephrine and norepinephrine during the induction of general anesthesia were determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Multivariate logistic regression analysis evaluated the association between the clinical factors and PIH. Results: Of the 557 patients, 390 had PIH, and the remaining 167 were allocated to the non-PIH group. Changes in blood adrenaline, noradrenaline levels, or both were more pronounced in the PIH than in the non-PIH group (p<0.05). Age, body mass index, a history of hypertension, preoperative systolic blood pressure, and propofol or sufentanil dose were independent predictors of PIH. Conclusion: The changes of blood catecholamines in patients with more stable hemodynamics during the induction of general anesthesia are smaller than that in patients with post-induction hypotension. 35. "Biped" Janus Fe3O4@nSiO2@TiO2−x&mSiO2 Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery and Microwave-Triggered Drug Release.

Abstract

In this work, we constructed the "Biped" Janus Fe3O4@ n SiO2@TiO 2 − x & m SiO2 nanoparticles as drug carriers to improve the performance of microwave-controlled releasing drugs. The SEM and TEM characterization confirmed the successful synthesis of the "Biped" Janus nanoparticles. The Fe3O4@ n SiO2@TiO 2 − x core-shell nanosphere showed stable nanoparticles of consistent and desirable diameter of about 250 nm. The length and the diameter of the rod-shaped m SiO2 were about 420 nm and 310 nm, respectively. The cumulative loading rate of doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX) reached 43 wt% after 240 min, equivalent to 100.18 mg g − 1 . It was found that the "Biped" Janus nanoparticles had dual-triggering properties of pH and microwave. At pH 7.0, 5.0 and 3.0, the drug release rate was as high as 55.91 wt%, 73.78 wt% and 77.81 wt% at 210 min, respectively. Under the microwave stimulation of pH 7.0, the drug release rate was significantly increased from 55.91 wt% to 83.86 wt% compared with nonmicrowave irradiation. The "Biped" Janus Fe3O4@ n SiO2@TiO 2 − x & m SiO2 have high drug loading and release efficiency, and shown good biocompatibility. Therefore, the biped Janus-shaped nanoparticles have huge potential in targeted therapy. In this work, a novel "Biped" Janus Fe3O4@nSiO2@TiO2–x&mSiO2 nanoparticles were successfully constructed, which exhibited dual pH- and microwave-induced drug release properties. Meanwhile, the "Biped" Janus Fe3O4@nSiO2@TiO2–x&mSiO2 have high drug loading and release efficiency, and shown good biocompatibility. Abstract

Anionocages have been developed as a unique family of hydrogen bonded cages. However, strategies for constructing anionocages are mainly limited to that based on (PO43−)‐bisurea coordination, neither the ligands nor the anions lack the simplicity and diversity of the maturely developed analogues based on metal coordination (i.e. metallocage). We report herein a more simple strategy for anionocages design based on (RPO32−)‐monourea coordination, utilizing monourea rather than bisurea as the hydrogen binding donor, and RPO32− rather than PO43− as the acceptor. Two fluorescent, quadruple helicate anionocages were constructed by a bis‐monourea ligand, and dianions PhOPO32− (H1) or HOPO32− (H1A), respectively, which were capable of encapsulating a series of cation guests. As revealed by molecular modeling, H1 features remarkable guest‐adaptive cavity breathing without change of the quadruple helicate topology, which allowed the encapsulation of different sized guests in an "induced fit" manner. Abstract

A novel copper-catalyzed 1,1-arylalkylation of terminal alkynes with diazo esters and organoboronic acids is described. With this methodology, (E)-β-aryl-β,γ-unsaturated esters can be easily constructed in good to excellent yields directly from readily available and inexpensive traditional coupling reagents.
