Background Atherosclerosis (AS) causes cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction and myocardial fibrosis. Incidence of the population gradually increases with the aging of the global population. The inflammatory response is a key factor in myocardial fibrosis, and regular aerobic exercise can reduce inflammation and protect myocardial function. However, the protective mechanism of aerobic exercise against AS myocardial fibrosis is unclear. Objective To investigate the mechanism of the effect of aerobic exercise on myocardial fibrosis in AS mice. Methods From February to August 2022, twenty-seven 8-week-old male ApoE-/- mice were selected as the experimental subjects and randomly divided into the control group, model group and aerobic exercise group, with 9 mice in each group. The mouse model of AS was prepared, and the mice were trained with exercise. The myocardial tissue was observed by hematoxylin-eosin (HE) and Masson staining. The protein expressions of NOD receptor 3 (NLRP3), interleukin1β (IL-1β) and transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1) in myocardial tissue were detected by Western blotting. The expressions of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) were detected. Results Masson staining results showed that myocardial fibrosis in the model group was significantly worse than that in the control group. Myocardial fibrosis in the aerobic exercise group was significantly improved compared with the model group. HE staining showed that myocardial cells in the model group were disorganized, with abnormal cell morphology and size, enlarged cell gaps and inflammatory cell infiltration. Cardiomyocytes of mice in the aerobic exercise group were still neatly arranged, with abnormal cell morphology and size, and the cell gap was basically normal. The expressions of NLRP3, IL-1β and TGF-β1 in the model group were higher than those in the control group, while the expressions of NLRP3, IL-1β and TGF-β1 in the aerobic exercise group were lower than those in the model group, and higher than the control group (P

BACKGROUND: Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is a widely used microbial insecticide. However, its persistence is limited because of ultraviolet (UV) rays or other environmental factors. The yhfS gene, which encodes acetyl‐CoA acyltransferase, plays an important role in lipid transport and metabolism in many organisms. To explore whether it is related to the stress resistance of Bt LLP29, the yhfS gene knockout strain LLP29 Δ‐yhfS and the complementary strain LLP29 R‐yhfS were generated successfully by homologous recombination technology, and the related phenotypic changes were compared in this study. RESULTS: Gene yhfS was found to be functional in response to UV radiation in Bt by comparing the survival rates of Bt LLP29 harboring yhfS or not under UV light. Enzyme activity assays of key enzymes showed the the Embden–Meyerhof–Parnas pathway was enhanced yet the tricarboxylic acid cycle as well as butanoate synthesis were repressed when the gene was deleted. At the same time, the amino acid content was decreased, but reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) content were increased. Most noteworthy, antioxidase (such as superoxide dismutase and peroxidase) activities and contents of some potent antioxidants (such as pyruvate, carotenoids and NADPH) were lower in LLP29 Δ‐yhfS than in LLP29. CONCLUSION: These tests revealed that the loss of the yhfS gene led to metabolic disorders and reduction of the antioxidant ability of Bt. Higher ROS level and lower anti‐oxidative capacity might be responsible for the reduced UV resistance when the gene was deleted. Summary: Edge computing, an extension of cloud computing, is introduced to provide sufficient computing and storage resources for mobile devices. Moreover, a series of computing tasks in a mobile device are set as structured computing processes and flows to achieve effective management by the workflow. However, the execution uncertainty caused by performance degradation, service failure, and new service additions remains a huge challenge to the user's service experience. In order to address the uncertainty, a software‐defined network (SDN)‐based edge computing framework and a dynamic resource provisioning (UARP) method are proposed in this paper. The UARP method is implemented in the proposed framework and addresses the uncertainty through the advantages of SDN. In addition, the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm‐III is employed to optimize two goals, that is, the energy consumption and the completion time, to obtain balanced scheduling strategies. The comparative experiments are performed and the results show that the UARP method is superior to other methods in addressing the uncertainty, while reducing energy consumption and shortening the completion time. Summary: Edge computing (EC) emerges as a novel computing paradigm to offload computing tasks from user equipments (UEs) to edge notes (ENs) in fifth‐generation networks, which definitely breaks the resource limitation of UEs to a certain degree. However, it is troublesome to guarantee the overall operating performance of ENs due to the uneven distributed resource demands of UEs, the resulting transmission delay and the data loss for computation offloading between the covered EN and the deployed destination EN. In view of this challenge, a blockchain‐based computation offloading method, named BCO, is proposed in this paper. Technically, since blockchain is a promising technique for the decentralized system, a blockchain‐based EC framework is designed to degrade the data loss possibility by integrating blockchain and EC. Then, the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm, the third version (NSGA‐III), is leveraged to acquire the balanced offloading strategies. Furthermore, by taking advantage of Simple Additive Weighting and Multiple Criteria Decision Making, the optimal offloading strategy is identified. Finally, systematic experiments and analyses on the comparative experiment are conducted to verify the efficiency of our proposed method BCO. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
