Labor education is a meaningful way to cultivate students’ comprehensive quality and a new requirement for education development in the context of the new era. This study aims to establish a labor education system for higher vocational colleges and universities, using the theoretical support of three-course parallelism and optimizing and integrating labor education resources through system dynamics. On this basis, the study uses a factor analysis model to explore the dynamic mechanisms of this education and a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to quantitatively analyze the quality of this labor education approach. In the empirical analysis of higher vocational colleges and universities, the effect of labor education in this paper improves by about 11 points compared with that of traditional education. The average scores of the six indicators of labor education based on the three parallel classes are all above 4 points, which is at the level of “excellent.” The optimization of labor education resources in this paper can effectively improve the utilization rate of resources and provide a guarantee for the labor education system based on three parallel classes, thus improving the overall effect of labor education, giving full play to the intrinsic value of labor education, and contributing to the overall development of students.

Previous studies showed that the onset age of second language acquisition (AoA-L2) can modulate brain structure of bilinguals. However, the underlying mechanism of anatomical plasticity induced by AoA-L2 is still a question in debate. In order to explore the issue, we recruited two groups of native Cantonese-Mandarin speakers, the early group began to speak in Mandarin at about 3.5 and the late group at about 6.5 years old. In addition, the early group had earlier experience in reading Chinese characters than the late group did. Through estimating the cortical thickness (CT), we found that (1) compared with the late group, the early group had thicker CT in the lateral occipital region, left middle temporal gyrus, and left parahippocampal region, which are all involved in visuospatial processing, probably reflecting the effect induced by the earlier or later experiences in processing the characters of Chinese for the two groups; and (2) compared with the late group, the early group had thicker CT in left superior parietal region, which is believed to be involved in language switching, maybe for the early group had the earlier experience in switching back and forth between Cantonese and Mandarin and therefore recruited the executive control network earlier. Our findings revealed the effects of the AoA-L2 in oral language acquisition as well as in written language acquisition as the main determinants of bilingual language structural representation in human brain.

Agarwood is a highly sought-after resinous wood for use in medicine, incense, and perfume production. However, the process of agarwood formation is slow. In this study, the induction of agarwood formation in three-year-old Aquilaria sinensis "Qinan" trees through treatment with ethephon, hydrogen peroxide, sodium chloride, distilled water, and wounding was investigated. The results showed that the starch content significantly decreased and that the soluble sugar content significantly increased during the process of agarwood formation, with no significant difference between the different treatment groups. The net photosynthetic rate significantly decreased. Except for the sodium chloride treatment, the total antioxidant capacity and the contents of flavonoids and phenols significantly increased during the process of agarwood formation. The essential oil yield of the ethephon and hydrogen peroxide treatment groups was significantly higher than that of the other treatment groups, with the highest essential oil yield in the ethephon treatment group. Compared to the control group, salt treatment produced the lowest essential oil yield of agarwood. The results indicate that appropriate concentrations of ethephon and hydrogen peroxide can promote the formation of agarwood in A. sinensis "Qinan". [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Although collective forest tenure reform (CFTR) has improved the legal tenure security of forestland, its impact on increasing farmers' income is unsustainable. This study used a multiple linear regression model to empirically analyze data from 505 farmers in Jiangxi Province, examining the impact of legal, actual, and perceived tenure security on rural household income, and incorporating migration into the framework. The findings indicate that both actual and perceived tenure security have a substantial positive impact on the total rural household income and forestry income. However, it is worth noting that legal tenure security only has a positive effect on forestry income. Furthermore, outside-of-county labor migration can serve as a mediator for the income effects of actual and perceived tenure security. However, the mediating effect of intra-county labor migration is not considerable. The study found that the increase in income due to the security of actual tenure security is significant for the group of people who own less than 50 mu of forestland. However, both actual and perceived tenure security have a significant impact on income for the group of people who own more than 50 mu of forestland. The aforementioned findings indicate that, in the ongoing extensive advancement of collective forest right reform, it is crucial to prioritize the execution of forest reform policies at the local level and enhance farmers' awareness and comprehension of said policies. In addition, the government should enhance the monitoring system for policy implementation and intensify efforts in publicizing these policies, in order to fully utilize the benefits of CFTR. Assistive bathing robots have become a popular point due to their metrics, such as a humanoid working approach in the solution of elder care. However, the abilities of dynamic recognition and path planning are the key to obtain the advantages. This paper proposes a novel approach to recognize and track the dynamical human back, and path planning on it via a 3D point cloud. Firstly, the human back geometric features are recognized through coarse-to-fine alignment. The Intrinsic Shape Signature (ISS) algorithm combined with the Fast Point Feature Histogram (FPFH) and the Sample Consensus Initial Alignment (SAC-IA) algorithm are adopted to complete the coarse alignment, and the Iterative Closest Point (ICP) algorithm is applied to the fine alignment to improve the accuracy of recognition. Then, the dynamic transformation matrix between the contiguous recognized back is deduced based on spatial motion between two adjacent recognized back point clouds. The path can be planned on the tracked human back. Finally, a set of testing experiments are conducted to verify the proposed algorithm. The results show that the running time is reduced by 66.18% and 96.29% compared with the other two common algorithms, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: In traditional Asian medicine, Gynostemma pentaphyllum Makino leaf extract (Gp) is used to treat aging, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and neurodegenerative diseases. Hair loss and hair‐graying are common phenomena that haunt everyone. However, whether Gp activities on inhibition of hair loss and getting gray have been rarely studied. Aim: Study the Gp activity and mechanism by in vivo and in vitro experiments to explore its application on hair health. Methods: In the present study, we determined the effects of Gp on the expression of hair growth‐related genes and proliferation of human dermal papilla cells (hDPCs). Furthermore, Gp was topically applied to the hair‐shaved skin of male C57BL/6 mice, and the histological profile of the skin was studied. Because emotional stress may lead to melanocyte disappearance, norepinephrine‐exposed mice B16 melanocytes were treated with Gp to elucidate the anti‐hair graying capacity of Gp in response to this stress type. Results: Gp stimulated the proliferation of hDPCs and the Wnt signaling pathways associated with hair growth; furthermore, the expression of the hair loss‐related gene transforming growth factor‐β1 was suppressed. Gp treatment significantly increased the size of hair follicles in the treated mice and stimulated them. Moreover, Gp not only increased melanin synthesis but also tyrosinase activity in B16 cells. Quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction revealed that Gp increased melanin synthesis by increasing the expression of tyrosine‐related protein‐1, tyrosine‐related protein‐2, tyrosinase, and microphthalmia‐associated transcription factor.
