Aiming to address the issue of significant artefact interference in conventional reverse time migration (RTM) imaging under zero-time imaging conditions of ground-penetrating radar (GPR), this study proposes an improvement of RTM using cross-correlation superposition projection (CSP) to enhance imaging quality. The method is based on the original RTM imaging framework, where all single-trace signals are individually processed using RTM. The individual imaging results are then multiplied pairwise and added together to create a CSP. After normalizing the CSP and properly setting the adaptive threshold, the CSP can focus RTM imaging on the GPR signal reflection interface area, effectively removing artefact interference. Synthetic data test confirms that the CSP-improved RTM, when compared to conventional RTM and Laplace filtering methods, not only preserves all effective information in imaging but also eliminates artefact interference. This improvement significantly enhances the quality and resolution of the imaging results. Furthermore, the practicality and effectiveness of the CSP-improved RTM method in engineering applications have been validated using a set of measured GPR data. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Diabetes‐related bone loss represents a significant complication that persistently jeopardizes the bone health of individuals with diabetes. Primary cilia proteins have been reported to play a vital role in regulating osteoblast differentiation in diabetes‐related bone loss. However, the specific contribution of KIAA0753, a primary cilia protein, in bone loss induced by diabetes remains unclear. In this investigation, we elucidated the pivotal role of KIAA0753 as a promoter of osteoblast differentiation in diabetes. RNA sequencing demonstrated a marked downregulation of KIAA0753 expression in pro‐bone MC3T3 cells exposed to a high glucose environment. Diabetes mouse models further validated the downregulation of KIAA0753 protein in the femur. Diabetes was observed to inhibit osteoblast differentiation in vitro, evidenced by downregulating the protein expression of OCN, OPN and ALP, decreasing primary cilia biosynthesis, and suppressing the Hedgehog signalling pathway. Knocking down KIAA0753 using shRNA methods was found to shorten primary cilia. Conversely, overexpression KIAA0753 rescued these changes. Additional insights indicated that KIAA0753 effectively restored osteoblast differentiation by directly interacting with SHH, OCN and Gli2, thereby activating the Hedgehog signalling pathway and mitigating the ubiquitination of Gli2 in diabetes. In summary, we report a negative regulatory relationship between KIAA0753 and diabetes‐related bone loss. The concealed microcracks in shield tunnel lining present the characteristics of being of small size, unknown shape, and are difficult to detect. Based on the finite-difference time domain (FDTD) approach, this study proposed a new construction method of a refined grid accommodating and combining the variable shapes of microcracks, and capable of designing cross type, mesh type, and wave type microcrack models. The proposed new method also configured steel bars in the models to simulate actual engineering conditions, and characteristic response images of the models under different working conditions were obtained using ground penetrating radar (GPR) technology, which were then compared and analyzed to identify the imaging characteristics and differences of microcracks with variable geometric shapes. The waveform, amplitude, and time span of the characteristic single channel signal were furthermore studied. The results showed that the new method could successfully simulate the GPR characteristic response images of 0.5 mm microcracks of diverse geometric shapes. When the microcracks were wavy, their real shape could only be determined after signal pre-processing; the density and quantity of steel bars directly affected the appearance of microcrack characteristic signals; the greater the density and quantity of steel bars, the greater the interference on the waveform, amplitude, and time-frequency range of electromagnetic wave signals; a special correlation existed between the maximum mean root square value of the amplitude and the single channel signal of the cracks. Moreover, the finding that the extension in time and distance in the GPR time distance profile intersected with the cracks was deemed potentially to provide fresh insights into identifying the characteristic points of the cracks in the GPR images. The new method proposed in this study successfully obtained the GPR numerical simulation images and characteristic signals of microcracks with variable geometric shapes. Through the processing and analysis of the characteristic response signals of microcracks, the conclusions obtained were considered to provide an interpretation basis for the detection of microcracks in practical engineering. This paper examines the Canada-China Management Education Program (CCMEP, 1983-1996) between the University of Toronto (UT) and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). In this paper, we create a "Three Levels/Four Parameters" analytical framework, based on the concept of mutuality from Johan Galtung (1980) and the concept of institutions from W. Richard Scott (2007). We use this framework to analyze management cooperation between UT and HUST. Qualitative data is collected through open-ended interviews with participants of the CCMEP and from a review of historical literature. Through this analysis, we find that mutuality in the CCMEP was gradually established. During this process, the national macro-level institutional framework, the interactive consultations between UT and HUST, and the increased understanding of HUST's needs and culture constitute the three levels of institutionalized mutuality in the CCMEP. The UT project directors' understanding about Chinese culture, values, and beliefs was the key to the success of the CCMEP. Among the four parameters of mutuality, autonomy is the core parameter.
