The present study evaluated the expression profile of LINC01426 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues and cell lines. Furthermore, the function of LINC01426 in NSCLC and the molecular mechanisms involved were extensively studied.Methods: The abundance of LINC01426 in NSCLC tissues and cell lines was determined using quantitative reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction. The cell counting kit-8 assay, flow cytometry, transwell experiments for migration and invasion, and xenograft tumor model were used to assess the function of LINC01426 in NSCLC cells. Mechanistic studies were performed using the luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation.Results: Significant LINC01426 upregulation was observed in NSCLC tissues and cell lines. Silencing LINC01426 inhibited proliferation, migration, and invasion of NSCLC cells and facilitated cell apoptosis in vitro. Furthermore, interference of LINC01426 restricted tumor growth of NSCLC cells in vivo. In addition, LINC01426 showed the ability to directly bind to microRNA-519d-5p (miR-519d-5p) and act as a molecular sponge for miR-519d-5p in NSCLC cells. Furthermore, the ETS proto-oncogene 1 (ETS1) was identified as a direct target of miR-519d-5p and LINC01426 could indirectly upregulate ETS1 expression by sponging miR-519d-5p. Moreover, the cancer-inhibiting activities of LINC01426 knockdown in NSCLC cells were partially offset by miR-519d-5p inhibition.Conclusion: LINC01426 increases ETS1 expression by sequestering miR-519d-5p, thereby aggravating the malignant progression of NSCLC. The LINC01426/miR-519d-5p/ETS1 competing endogenous RNA pathway may provide a target for designing therapeutic agents for NSCLC treatment.Keywords: long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1426, NSCLC, ETS proto-oncogene 1, ceRNA

Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is considered an inflammatory cytokine. However, few studies have investigated the association between serum IL-4 and cardiovascular events in CKD. This study investigated whether serum IL-4 levels were associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular (CV) events in patients with CKD.Patients and Methods: A total of 302 patients with stage 1– 5 CKD were followed up for a mean of 32 (range=4– 36) months for end points (CV events). Serum IL-4 levels were measured at baseline. The independent relationship between serum IL-4 and the risk of CV events was assessed with multivariate Cox regression analysis.Results: The average age of this cohort (N=302) was 65.4 years. A total of 69.9% of them were male. CV events numbered 41 (13.6%) during the follow-up period. The Kaplan–Meier analysis showed that the rate of CV events was higher in patients with CKD with IL-4 levels above the mean (126.2 pg/mL) than in those with IL-4 levels below the mean. The multivariate Cox proportional hazard analysis revealed that serum IL-4 (HR=1.650, 95% CI 1.266– 2.210, P< 0.001) was associated with CV events in these patients with CKD. Sensitivity analysis showed that the association between serum IL-4 and CV events was not affected by the use of anti-inflammatory medication. The significant association between higher IL-4 levels and increased risk of CV events existed in patients with CKD3-5 but not in patients with CKD1-2 by using the stratified analysis.Conclusion: Higher serum IL-4 levels were associated with an increased risk of CV events during follow-up. Elevated serum IL-4 levels may help clinicians predict early CV events in patients with CKD.Keywords: interleukin-4, chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular event, Cox regression, prognosis

We prepare a new type of multi-wavelength infrared laser diode with four chips, three wavelengths (865 nm, 905 nm and 1064 nm) and two working modes (pulse and single). The preparation technology of the diode includes two key processes: heat-sink and packaging processing technique to package four different chips on a same heat-sink. The experimental results show that four output peak-wavelengths of the prototype diode all possess favorable stability.

Collimation system is an indispensable part of the photoelectric detection equipment. Aimed at meeting the demand of field on-line detection for photoelectric system, the system must have higher requirements for its volume, quality and the anti-interference ability of all sorts of complex weather conditions. In order to solve this problem, this paper designed a kind of high temperature adaptability reflex cassegrain collimation system. First the technical indexes of the system was put forward according to the requirements of practical application, then the initial structure parameters was calculated by gaussian optical computing and optimized processing through Zemax. The simulation results showed that the MTF of the system was close to the diffraction limit, which had a good image quality. The system structure tube adopted hard steel material; the primary mirror and secondary mirror used low expansion coefficient of microcrystalline glass, which effectively reduced the deformation due to temperature difference and remained little change in quality and volume at the same time. The experiment results in high and low temperature environments also showed that the collimation system could keep within 30 "beam divergence angle, which proved to have good temperature adaptability, so that it can be used in the field of complex bad conditions.

The authors develop an intelligent testing instrument of 1.06μm pulse laser rangefinder anti-jamming performance. The authors present the testing system which is divided into collimating optical system, opto-electronic conversion circuit, mainly-controlling circuit, driving circuit, multi-beams simulated source and computer interface. Based on the testing instrument above, the authors present and research several key techniques: To generate simulated ranging/jamming echoes, the authors present and develop the mainly-controlling circuit which is built with FPGA chip and additional circuits; meanwhile, the authors also develop a new type of multi-beams diode which can be the simulated source of the testing instrument; According to power supply characteristics of multi-beams diode, the authors present and develop a corresponding common cathode driving circuit. The anti-jamming performance testing experimental data shows that the testing result has higher precision.

MRTD is an important indicator to measure the imaging performance of infrared camera. In the traditional laboratory test, blackbody is used as simulated heat source which is not only expensive and bulky but also difficult to meet field testing requirements of online automatic infrared camera MRTD. To solve this problem, this paper introduces a new detection device for MRTD, which uses LED as a simulation heat source and branded plated zinc sulfide glass carved four-bar target as a simulation target. By using high temperature adaptability cassegrain collimation system, the target is simulated to be distance-infinite so that it can be observed by the human eyes to complete the subjective test, or collected to complete objective measurement by image processing. This method will use LED to replace blackbody. The color temperature of LED is calibrated by thermal imager, thereby, the relation curve between the LED temperature controlling current and the blackbody simulation temperature difference is established, accurately achieved the temperature control of the infrared target. Experimental results show that the accuracy of the device in field testing of thermal imager MRTD can be limited within 0.1K, which greatly reduces the cost to meet the project requirements with a wide application value.

Histone acetyltransferases (HATs) regulate many critical cancer events, including transcriptional regulation of oncogene and tumor suppressors, chromatin structure and DNA damage response. Abnormal expression of HATs has been reported in a number of cancers. However, cellular functions of HATs in cancer and molecular mechanisms remain largely unclear. Here, we performed a lentiviral vector-mediated RNAi screen to systematically address the function of HATs in lung cancer cell growth and viability. We identified 8 HATs genes involved in A549 cell viability. Further experiments showed that KAT8 regulates G2/M cell cycle arrest through AKT/ERK-cyclin D1 signaling. Moreover, KAT8 inhibition led to p53 induction and subsequently reduced bcl-2 expression. Our results demonstrate an important role of KAT8 in cancer and suggest that KAT8 could be a novel cancer therapeutic target.

Applying new technology is a good way to solve the problems existed in MIS development. The advantages of WPF have not been realized by MIS developers completely. This paper analyses the technical superiorities of WPF compared with traditional technologies, and exemplifies what WPF can do in MIS development. With WPF's support for DirectX, developers can make better use of current graphics hardware, and design amazing UI of MIS easily. WPF helps remove the barriers and bottlenecks that have traditionally existed between MIS UI designers and programmers, and promote scientific division in MIS development process. Reusing UI resources help developers work more efficiently. WPF provides many globalized design features to present MIS in multiple languages economically. Because of new technical features mentioned above, it is a good choice for MIS developers to learn WPF as soon as possible.

This paper discusses the security of Conditional Access System and proposed several attack methods. It analyzes fundamentals of CW sharing and points out the security hole during the communication between the IC and STB. It proposes several existent traditional solutions to the CW sharing. Because there are security problems or cost problems accompanied with the traditional solutions this paper proposes a new technical method to prevent the CW sharing with low cost and high security. The method is based on a practical authentication and key agreement algorithm. The communication between STB and smart card is encrypted by the agreement key to protect the CW, which prevented effectively CW sharing based on plaintext.
